* ActingForTwo:
** Roger Craig Smith voices both Richard and Hawkodile. He also voiced the Score Creeper in "Spoooooky Game", who Hawkodile interacted with.
** Eric Bauza voices both Master Frown and Master Fear, the latter specifically taunting the former in the episode "Stuck Together".
* AdoredByTheNetwork: Cartoon Network gave this show three, count 'em, '''three''' sneak previews and those previews were reran quite often before the premiere (except for the first one which rarely aired because it was a Halloween special). After it premiered, it was usually their second or third most aired show (behind [[AdoredByTheNetwork/TheAmazingWorldOfGumball network]] [[AdoredByTheNetwork/TeenTitansGo darlings]] ''WesternAnimation/TheAmazingWorldOfGumball'' and ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitansGo''). [[ScrewedByTheNetwork However]]...
* AllStarCast: The principle voice cast is composed of Tara Strong, Creator/GreyDeLisle, Creator/KateMicucci, Creator/EricBauza, and Creator/RogerCraigSmith. Now that's star power.
* TheCastShowOff: "Lab Cat" has Dr. Fox singing a song about science, playing off of Kate Micucci's singing talents.
* BannedEpisode: Although "Sick Day" aired in Canada on September 13, 2020, it is likely not going to air in the U.S. anytime soon due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
* CowboyBebopAtHisComputer:
** A wiki vandal edited the press release description of the show to include [[WesternAnimation/{{Mixels}} Flain]] as a character of the cast, which many LEGO news sources picked up as the actual one.
** A more minor point, but some of the commercials say that the creators of ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitansGo'' and ''WesternAnimation/TheLegoMovie'' worked on this series. Regarding the former, only TTG co-creator Aaron Horvath is working on this series, not Michael Jelenic. Even then, this show is developed by Ed Skudder and Lynn Wang, who simply wrote for TTG.
** Some bios erroneously refer to Master Frown as the leader of Frowntown, with Brock as a loyal minion eager to help him spread chaos. In the series proper, Master Frown is on the lowest rung of his team, while Brock is apathetic to his deeds.
* CrossDressingVoices:
** Grey [=DeLisle=] voices Puppycorn.
** Thanks to the variety of citizens, this is inevitable at times. This includes H. Michael Croner as Bim-Bom (the garbage bag girl) and Tara Strong as Slobodan (the cylinder boy).
* DevelopmentGag:
** Master Fear's teardrop-shaped head comes from a scrapped design for Master Frown, only with the addition of "quivering" eyes, compared to the lines for eyes that the original design had.
** The bunny used to represent Creator/RikiLindhome in the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MikDxaQvdig music video]] for "Everything Is Awesome (Tween Dream Remix)" (sung by Music/GarfunkelAndOates, with Dr. Fox taking the place of her voice actress Creator/KateMicucci) uses a scrapped design for Dr. Fox, who had a bunny used as a possible animal design for her in concept art, before a fox was settled on.
* MarathonRunning: The show got a marathon on December 24-25 of 2019, to promote new episodes of the show.
* MeaningfulReleaseDate: The episode "Birthday Blowout", an episode that celebrates Puppycorn's birthday, was released on February 16th, 2018, the start of the Chinese New Year for the Year of the Dog.
** In addition, it was the same week as Creator/TaraStrong's actual birthday. (February 12)
* TheOtherDarrin:
** Creator/TaraStrong replaces Creator/AlisonBrie as Unikitty.
** The same happens in the Japanese dub, as Creator/MaayaUchida replaces Creator/MiyukiSawashiro for the same character.
** Ditto in the Latin American Spanish dub, as Carla Castañeda replaces Jessica Ángeles from the films.
** Production wise, Wes Gleason replaces Creator/SamRiegel as the voice director starting in summer 2018.
* TheOtherMarty: When making the episode "[=BatKitty=]", the crew [[https://twitter.com/CareenIngle/status/1591174118841647104 actually recorded]] Creator/KevinConroy as the voice of Batman and Unikitty's Batman persona first, before he was replaced with Creator/WillArnett.
* OutOfHolidayEpisode: "Scary Tales 2", a Halloween episode, premiered on Christmas Eve 2019 during a marathon.
* RoleReprise:
** In the episode "[=BatKitty=]", Creator/WillArnett voices both Batman and Unikitty's Batman persona, returning from voicing him in ''The LEGO Movie''.
** In the French dub, Batman and Unikitty's Batman persona are voiced by Creator/AdrienAntoine, who has voiced numerous animated incarnations of the Dark Knight since the 2004 series ''WesternAnimation/TheBatman''.
* ScrewedByTheNetwork: Was the opposite at first, but it would soon fall into this. In March 2019, the show would fall under hiatus and was pulled from the lineup completely. There were rumors that the show had been cancelled, which was only worsened when Creator/TaraStrong said it was. But around November 2019, it was revealed that a 3rd and final season was planned.
** The show returned in December for a burn off marathon before gaining a Sunday afternoon slot. At first, it was just reruns but then premieres were moved over there too at 4:30. This is almost ''never'' a good sign for a show on the network; something that several of their shows like ''WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls2016'' and ''WesternAnimation/OKKOLetsBeHeroes'', among others, can attest. During this period, both reruns and advertising were non-existent. A few months later, the show was again pulled from the lineup. On August 17, 2020, the remaining episodes were burned off at 8:00 a.m. with heavy advertising.
** It's worth noting that there was an additional reason for the show being dropped. The mediocre performance of ''The LEGO Movie 2'', and Warner Bros.'s subsequent relinquishing of the rights to the LEGO films, meant that ''Unikitty!'' became cut off from its own franchise. With the movie series (at least in its current incarnation) over, there was no point in keeping the show around, so it was phased out.
* ShortRunInPeru:
** The episode "Scary Tales" aired in the United Kingdom before the United States got it.
** Also, due to the European feeds having the same episode order as the UK, this episode also aired early in countries like Germany, Spain, Portugal and Italy.
** Every episode after "Float On" was aired early in Australia. "Prank Wars" also premiered early in France.
* TrailersAlwaysSpoil: This show was teased by the Russian version of Cartoon Network before it was ''even announced''.
* VoicesInOneRoom: This seems to be the case according to this [[https://mobile.twitter.com/GreyDeLisle/status/968287052503556096 tweet]] .
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** Richard was originally designed as a studless sand blue LEGO brick. [[https://www.instagram.com/p/BsqmUQrhm3F/ His name was originally going to be "Brick" instead.]]
** The closest to being final color of Puppycorn was a darker blue shade, with navy paws instead of red, and a blue horn with a purple holder instead of a yellow horn with a red holder. [[https://www.instagram.com/p/BstLfg4BtUx/ Even earlier test colors had him colored in shades such as purple, other blues, and even yellow, with intents to be a Golden Retriever instead.]]
** [[https://www.instagram.com/p/Bsv0xjBlzip/ Dr. Fox was considered as a pig, a bunny, and a chinchilla before being a fox.]] Even as a fox, she flipped between having a square or semicircular head, being blue or purple, different glasses styles, and having a hair tuft.
** [[https://www.instagram.com/p/BsyZwYyhpJe/ Hawkodile went through a wide variety of color schemes]], along with having straps around his body at one point, while also have more crocodile elements to him.
** [[https://www.instagram.com/p/Bs6yiY9htpI/ Master Frown went through various design changes.]] This includes heads shaped like rainclouds, rain motifs, designs where he had colored eyes inside a black "shadow", and skull and teardrop faces. Brock originally was similar to Richard, being a much taller LEGO brick, instead of his tombstone shape.
** [[https://vimeo.com/251278595 An animatic]] for "Action Forest" reveals that the ending of the final battle was set to be different. In it, [[spoiler:Unikitty would be the one to hug, while Hawkodile gave a last punch to Eagleator.]] This was flipped in the episode proper, along with the way [[spoiler:Eagleator is offered a second chance]].
** The episode "[=BatKitty=]" had a [[https://mobile.twitter.com/edskudder/status/1202669645481701377 Batkitty Mobile]] that was cut from the episode.
** [[https://twitter.com/CareenIngle/status/1591174118841647104 Originally]], the episode "[=BatKitty=]" used Creator/KevinConroy for the voice of Batman and Unikitty's Batman persona, before replacing him with Creator/WillArnett, reprising his role from ''WesternAnimation/TheLegoMovie''. Two clips of Conroy's dialogue can be seen [[https://twitter.com/CareenIngle/status/1591174147870461952?s=20&t=shhbV0c3EhPJTdnZKymY2Q here]] and [[https://twitter.com/CareenIngle/status/1591174178233016321?s=20&t=shhbV0c3EhPJTdnZKymY2Q here]].
