* AnimeFirst: The show has a manga adaptation, focussing on Sakaido solving a case using the Mizuhanome system where he is stuck in a car where the brakes don't work (hence the manga's name of "Brake Broken"). Although the manga, starting in October 2019, predates both the preview in December 2019 and the proper winter 2020 debut of the anime, this is one of those cases where the manga promotes and then runs concurrent with the anime it's based on.
* DuelingShows: 2 of them in fact. With ''Anime/CaseFileNoTwoTwoOneKabukicho'' and the similarly MindScrew-y ''Manga/{{Pet}}''.
* NoExportForYou: The manga sequel got this treatment until 2020 when Yen Press announced that they'll release it for English-speaking countries.
* PlayingAgainstType: Ayane Sakura and Bryn Appril as Nahosi Inami. [[spoiler:She's the actual Gravedigger serial killer.]]
* ScheduleSlip: The same-day simuldub for the show provided by Creator/{{Funimation}} was affected by the [[https://www.funimation.com/blog/2020/03/18/simuldub-delays-anime-winter-spring-2020-funimation-simulcasts-on-track/ COVID-19 pandemic and the stay at home order shortly before the last episode was set to air]]. It would take them [[https://www.funimation.com/blog/2020/04/25/dub-from-home-the-latest-news-on-simuldubs-my-hero-academia-black-clover/ nearly 3 months to finally release the finale dubbed]], having to adapt to recording actors from home & other technical difficulties associated with it.
