1	* Take has thrown some really obscure ''Manga/BakiTheGrappler'' references in special illustrations shared on Twitter; [[https://imgur.com/a/OVCmztZ in a particular spoof of a very early Baki manga event]] where Yujiro is unable to open a door due someone holding the handle on the other side[[note]]it is a minor meme because Yujiro was eventually touted as the strongest creature in the world, so an early manga event where he can’t open a door looks ridiculous in retrospect[[/note]]; one would need to be really into Baki to even notice these obtuse references.
2	* Uzaki's speech about Chocomint in Episode 5 takes a lot of cues from [[Anime/MobileSuitGundam Gihren Zabi's]] Sieg Zeon speech, especially with the "Turn your sadness into anger" line.
3	* The [[Creator/YosukeAkimoto owner]] of Café ''Asia'' where the main characters work is referred to as ''Master'', a nod to [[ActorAllusion Master Asia]] of ''Anime/MobileFighterGGundam''. In Episode 6, he references another ''G Gundam'' character that shares his voice actor, Stalker, by performing the introductory narration in a similar manner, complete with "Ready... Go!"
4	* At the end of Episode 6, Ami bets [[Manga/JojosBizarreAdventureStardustCrusaders Kakyoin's soul]] that Sakaki will fail at setting up Uzaki and Sakurai.
5	* A ''Manga/FistOfTheNorthStar'' reference in Episode 7; with Sakurai promising to pay for Uzaki's birthday meal at the pub, she rapidly presses the tablet to make orders while shouting "ATATATATATATA" (even mimicking Tenha no Kamae complete with a glowing aura in the build up), she then points at Sakurai stating "Your wallet is already dead" (Omae no saifu wa mō shin deru). After doing it a second time, they are scolded by a server.
6	* At the end of Episode 9 and throughout Episode 10 have Uzaki and Sakurai visit Tottori Prefecture, and various real life landmarks are shown such as the Tottori Sand Dunes. Being the home of their creators, there are plentiful shout outs to the following manga:
7	** ''Manga/CaseClosed'': The first place Uzaki and Sakurai visit is Tottori Sand Dunes Conan Airport. At one point Uzaki wears glasses making her look like Conan. Ami and Sakaki, who follow the duo, are drawn dark and blank much like the series' suspects, complete with appropriate background music in the anime.
8	** ''Manga/GeGeGeNoKitaro'': they visit Kitarō Road in Sakaiminato.
9	** Expys of the ''Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica'' cast appear as figurines in the Tottori museum.
10	** [[VideoGame/Persona5 Goro Akechi]] makes an appearance as an nendoroid on display.
11	* In Episode 11, during the first few moments before the opening, Uzaki knocks on the door to [[Franchise/{{Terminator}} the Terminator tempo.]]
12	* Chapter 11 shows a four-armed creature based on the Chief in ''[[Manga/BijinOnnaJoushiTakizawaSan Bijin Onna Joushi Takizawa-san]]'', which is another manga published by Kadokawa Shoten's ''Fujimi Shobo''.

14	* Take likes to give some pretty clear background on Uzaki and Sakurai's gaming sessions.
15	** In Episode 3, Uzaki vents her frustration during a gaming session where she is having a hard time during a boss fight against a certain bald man, who becomes more aggressive with his scissors once his shield gets destroyed; that boss is Sundowner from the crazy action packed ''VideoGame/MetalGearRisingRevengeance''.
16	** Uzaki and Sakurai in the manga have some fun playing a certain [=PS2=] title, Uzaki notes on how the enemy can throw his Mohawk as an attack, and the sound bite note coming from their TV is "Sensei, Onegaishimasu"; that game is ''VideoGame/GodHand'', with its outlandish enemies and Gene’s infamous groveling "attack".
17	** Take is up to date on his video game knowledge, as Chapter 54 of the manga has Yanagi and Uzaki playing an obvious LawyerFriendlyCameo of ''VideoGame/FallGuys'', the game was barely a month old in the market at the time of the chapter’s publishing, merely weeks of being confirmed as a very successful online multiplayer sensation.
