During the parade, a store called Maby's (a play on Macy's) is seen, and an Music/ElvisPresley float gets cut loose, flys up near a building and smashes its fist through it like [[Film/KingKong1933 King Kong]], and then gets set on fire, with the narrators comments on the scene being a reference to the Hindenburg disaster.
18* "Snow White and the Motor City Dwarfs" is a spoof of [[WesternAnimation/SnowWhiteAndTheSevenDwarfs Disney's adaptation of]] Literature/SnowWhite.
19* "Dont Touch That Dial" features parodies of WesternAnimation/TheFlintstones, WesternAnimation/TheJetsons, WesternAnimation/ScoobyDoo, WesternAnimation/TheRealGhostbusters and WesternAnimation/RockyAndBullwinkle.
