In the modern human times, the Mulawins and Ravenas still fight back-and-forth wars against each other, and occasionally among themselves. At the same time, the mortal humans’ minds slowly begin to eradicate their memories of the fabled bird-people until they recognize them no more, though there are a few who are aware of their existence. It was also during this time that Sandawa, goddess of nature, transformed the legendary intellectual bird Balasik into a book of prophecy to predict the outcome of the future and to secure her immortality. The future of said strife lies with their hands, words, and deeds.

''Mulawin vs. Ravena'' is a Philippine television drama series, created and directed by Don Michael Perez and licensed under Creator/GMANetwork. It is a sequel series to ''Series/{{Mulawin}}'' and is an entry in the ''Mulawin Saga'', which in turn branches into ''Series/{{Iglot}}'' and the ''Series/{{Encantadia}}'' spin-offs; it tells of the continuity of the chronicles that starts to place within the timeline of 10 years after the events of ''Film/MulawinTheMovie''.

!! ''Mulawin vs. Ravena'' contains trope examples o-- PAAAAAAAGGYYYYY MY LOVES!:

* ActionDad: Gabriel values his kids a lot, ditches his monarch role for their sake, and usually goes all-out apeshit when anything bad befalls on them, especially when Rafael is doing the abuse.
* AmazonBrigade: Maningning and her fellow members of the Taguba tribe.
* CallingParentsByTheirName: Subverted with Gabriel, as his kids call him ''Tatay'' Gabriel. Yes, with the "Gabriel" part.
* CatchPhrase: Patty's signature "PAGGY MY LOVES!" fangirl screech is one of her most notable traits... when Pagaspas is around, anyway.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Most of characters, from the humans to the Mulawins to the Ravenas.
* DarkerAndEdgier: Compared to its prequel ''Mulawin'', it noticeably has a much grimmer tone and feel than the first series.
* DeceasedParentsAreTheBest: Good Lord, it's always Alwina and Agiluz.
* DemotedToExtra: A lot of characters suffer from this, including Malik, Uwak-ak and Siklab, over time. Subverted as they may instantly be brought up again but will eventually be dormant from the main guy role.
* DivineParentage: Magindara, Dakila and Lumad are this. Then comes along Magindara's son with Siklab, who doesn't look so godly and instead looks AND like a killing machine bent on destroying the entire Mortal World and eat everyone there.
* DontCallMeSir: Gabriel, played with. He doesn’t want to be called "king" anymore, and prefers to be called "dad"; despite this, Greco ''still'' calls him "king".
* FantasticRacism: The Mulawins and Ravenas are pissed off with each other just because the Ravenas don’t like the humans. However, most modern humans, on the other hand, are too frightened by (and often) despised both because they can't tell the difference between their physical features, and Antonio's obsessive bird-people overexploitation habit is rather obnoxious.
* FlightOfRomance: The series' production team appears to be fond of this, and is continually revived in the form of Pagaspas' and Lawiswis' romantic scenes.
* ForcedIntoEvil: Gabriel for ten years, though with the help of Sandawa's pressure-inducing mental karma and Tak’s wishes, he gives up fighting for the Ravenas as king, and by his free will too.
* GodSaveUsFromTheQueen: Rashana, from her family and non-Ravena races' perspective. Considering that as a Ravena, she’s naturally nasty and all, though this is usually downplayed.
* GoodWingsEvilWings: The angel-like bird wings of the Mulawins and the Ravenas.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: No matter what you can do to put it romantically, [[CelibateHero Greco]] and Gabriel are still on a sidekick-hero relation. [[ThoseTwoGuys Also Patty and Riya.]]
* {{Jerkass}}: Although Rafael is the most prominent jerkass in the sequel (which is what the Ravenas actually agree about), [[BitchInSheepsClothing Shiela also counts.]]
* LivingForeverIsAwesome: Sandawa, though she does this to keep Magindara forever because she doesn't want to suffer from loneliness.
* MyMasterRightOrWrong: Greco (to Gabriel) and Ribay (to Rashana). Luckily the former does a Heel-Face Turn episodes later.
* OurGodsAreDifferent: Ahem, Sandawa and Magindara. Lira and Pirena also count.
* SlidingScaleOfAnthropomorphism
** [[MostWritersAreHuman Human]]: The basic class for, well, actual humans and other humanoid races, as well as Mulawins/Ravenas who had their Ugat-Paks forcefully removed.
** [[LittleBitBeastly Little Bit Beastly]]: The Mulawins, Ravenas and Perikos. Depending on their inheritance as a Tabon or a purebred, they may have a light sprinkle of feathers (and a palong for the female Tabons) across their hair, or even hair which is made entirely of feathers (which is a full-headed palong for both genders). They still retain their wings, though.
** BeastMan: The anthropomorphically feline(?) Musang.
* TakenForGranite: Apparently the Balasik has the power to turn one into this (depending on the user), as well as being able to bestow this power into a weapon like the one Rafael temporarily used.
* TheAgeless: The power of the Mahiwagang Hiyas, when worn (usually as a necklace), grants its wearer many abilities, which includes the power to decrease their aging process, gaining them a younger look (though if discarded, this may wear off and forces the wearer into their current age instantly, in the lost boy scouts’, Almiro’s and Anya’s case, or simply makes their bodies reach puberty and adulthood naturally, in Lawiswis’ and Pagaspas’ case).
** The boy scouts who were stranded in a mountainous forest during a 20th-century plane crash are known to be this, as they guarded the Hiyas for a very long time, and blessed with agelessness in return. Although they may revert back to their true age should they leave the forest.
** In fact, if they didn’t pick up the Mahiwagang Hiyas lying somewhere and wear it for a decade, Lawiswis and Pagaspas would've been as old as Alwina and Agiluz.
* TheRival: Rafael to Almiro.
* VersusTitle: ''Mulawin vs. Ravena''.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Magindara. The last time we’ve seen of her was the time when Pagaspas and Lawiswis hang out at Sandawa's home.
