* Barracuda is a notorious mercenary and gangster from Florida. Not much is known about his early life, though it's known his father was an abusive alcoholic who burned him on a stove to teach him to be tough. [[GoneHorriblyRight It worked beyond his wildest dreams]], as 'Cuda is one of the most dangerous foes the Punisher has ever met. Like him, he was involved in the military and lost a lot of his humanity there. Unlike Frank, he chose to discard what was left and be one of the deadliest mercenaries of all time.
* Comes across as rather jovial and optimistic, if rather crude (he's from [[Creator/GarthEnnis an Ennis work]] after all) and fond of BlackComedy. As he puts it, it's the "Barracuda charm". [[FauxAffablyEvil It hides how completely unstable he is]]. It's telling that he gets along with the Joker, due to both having a certain psycho charm to them and being massive sadists. Also it's implied [[Film/TheDarkKnight one incarnation of the Joker]] might have been an ex-soldier. He works well with fellow psychopathic mercenaries, such as Black Manta and Gauron. This is especially the case with Gauron, as they both [[FauxAffablyEvil have a certain "charm"]] and [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder utter disloyalty]].
* Used to be a Green Beret, [[SociopathicSoldier showing the worst the US military has to offer]]. War crimes include executing members of the government with a chainsaw [[MindRape after attempting psychological torture]], [[UsefulNotes/{{Nicaragua}} assisting in the atrocities of the Contras]] and kicking a decapitated child. Nick Fury can attest to the Punisher's views on him; [[Monster/ThePunisher behind his "charm" is one of the worst people he's ever encountered]], [[PayEvilUntoEvil which is really saying something]]. He is despised by all good members of the House of Pantheon/{{War}}.
* Given his horrible actions during war, it was unsurprising that he allied himself with Gregor Clegane. They got off to some rough footing at first, due to differing philosophies about their own [[AxCrazy rampant psychopathy]]. Cuda believes they should put on a "charm", while Gregor doesn't give a shit [[FauxAffablyEvil about pantomiming social skills]] and is as up-front about how he is. Difference were settled in their shared bloodlust and almost superhuman strength. And for that, Oberyn despises Barracuda almost as much as the Mountain.
* Though a soldier turned criminal, Niko Bellic despises Barracuda. He may be a hitman, [[HitmanWithAHeart but he has a heart]] and despises how psychopathic he is. Plus he had a lot more sympathetic reasons to participate than Cuda. Despite this Barracuda is fond of him in his own twisted way, and wants to encourage his murderous side. Niko knows better than that, considering his past [[Pantheon/{{Karma}} with Dimitri]]
* Doesn't exist in the main Earth-616 continuity. Captain America is very glad he doesn't, and is disturbed that someone like him was ever allowed in the military. Unlike [[Pantheon/{{Anger}} Nicky Cavella]], Cuda is no DirtyCoward and doesn't have a problem with the idea of fighting street-level superheroes. This is a man who took [[EyeScream losing an eye]] [[{{Fingore}} and four fingers]] [[MajorInjuryUnderreaction as a challenge]]. Captain Alex was particularly disgusted learning [[IAmAHumanitarian he indulged in cannibalism]] to prove his masculinity to an African warlord.
* Barracuda is more than just a nickname, but an indicator of some of his killing habits. He disposes of his victims when he can by feeding them to sharks. Frank returned the favor, [[MadeOfIron but he proved so tough]] it ultimately took the Punisher [[RasputinianDeath tearing off his nose, cutting his arms off with an ax, shoots him down the throat and fires on the remains with an AK-47 before lighting him on fire]]. Given Cuda planned to break him by torturing the infant daughter he never knew in front of him, pretty understandable. Bruce is happy to get free meals from Barracuda.
** Has gold teeth spelling "FUCK YOU". Two of them were knocked out, prompting people to ask what "fucky" means. He later got his grill fixed, and a shining glass eye.
* Thought he might get some pay from Roose Bolton or [[Pantheon/{{Politicians}} Tywin Lannister]]. Roose's response was an immediate "HELL NO". He knows Barracuda is treacherous. He had to deal with [[CarnivalOfKillers the Brave Companions]], who's bungling [[StupidEvil and self-destructive sadism]] led him to dispose of them. He's not giving someone like Barracuda any leeway. This pissed him off given he can't get a payday from Tywin, who's one of the richest deities in the pantheon.
* When trying to lock him up, it is highly advised to put him in solitary confinement. He's known [[PrisonRape for raping his fellow inmates]]. Mojo Jojo hates him given his own experience in prison. Of course he'll defend someone from that if they pay him, [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder though he can't be called loyal]]. Two would-be rapist inmates had their eyelids sewn shut. Underneath was each other's ''testicles''. [[FateWorseThanDeath They were still alive after this]].
* Mr Burns, Ragyo Kiryuin and Morris have hired him because of his work with Dyanco Incorporated, though they are all keeping an eye on him so they don't try to betray them. As of now nobody wants to give Barracuda more money because of his known treachery and unstable personality, and given how he's paid he doesn't have a reason to betray them...yet.
* He would rather stay away from any hemophiliac god or those who can die easily. This is due to when he was hired as the bodyguard for mob boss child Oswald Angelone. Amazingly enough [[PetTheDog he actually grew fond of him]], and seemed genuinely upset when he accidentally killed him by patting him on the back...for about five minutes, but it's as close to kind as he gets. Amusingly he is fond of sappy love songs over gangster rap. [[FauxAffablyEvil It adds to his bizarre charm]].

* Enemies: '''Any and all evil aliens''', including '''[[Pantheon/ObsceneActions The Xenomorphs]] and [[Pantheon/ExtraterrestrialAppearanceAndBiology Facehuggers]]''', Colonel Miles Quadritch, General RAAM, General Shepherd, SKYNET, The T-800 Mk. 1, The T-1000
* Opposes: The House of Toxicity, evil corporations
* Wary Around: The Metroid Hatchling
* Ascended to the Pantheon in part thanks to Ellen Ripley. A UD-4L Cheyenne dropship was seen in the vicinity of Hicks' new temple, which immediately draws Ripley's attention. Much to her shock, she is reunited with her daughter, Amanda Ripley, who now serves as Hicks' Herald. Following a tearful reunion, in which both women share their exploits regarding the Xenomorphs, they discover that Hicks is not among the deploying Colonial Marines. The elder Ripley harbors a guess and enters the dropship, followed by her daughter. There, strapped to his seat and snoring away, is one Dwayne Hicks.
-->'''Amanda:''' Is this normal for him?\
'''Ellen:''' (sighs) Wake up Hicks.
* Ever wondered how Ripley went to be such as badass upon returning to LV-426? Well, Hicks was one of the reasons why, as he taught her how to use the Pulse Rifle, which came in very handy when she chased after Newt. That, and kidnapping the girl who had been a surrogate daughter to her had been a very bad idea.
* Thought to have died [[Film/{{Alien3}} on Fiorina 161]], Hicks had actually survived, with some poor shumuck having unwillingly take his place in the hypersleep pod. He did, unfortunately, witnessed [[HeroicSacrifice Ripley's swan dive]] into the molten metal in order to deny Weyland-Yutani the Chestburster that erupted from her body. He did shed tears for Newt, who drowned in her pod when it crashed.
* Both Sarah Connor and her son mistook Hicks for Kyle Reese [[Creator/MichaelBiehn due to the stunning resemblance.]] Granted that Kyle wasn't as badly scarred as Hicks, but the resemblance is uncanny.
** SKYNET also made the same mistake and sent the T-800 Mk.1 after him, backed by a couple of T-800 endoskeletons. That proved to be a bad move, as SKYNET discovered that Colonial Marines wielding pulse rifles whose standard ammo is a 10mm armor-piercing, explosive-tipped, caseless rounds in a 100-round clip are frighteningly effective against the machines. John Connor is now looking to try and procure a couple of pulse rifles for his men.
* Allies with Doomguy. Hicks can be seen at Doomguy's temple, trading war stories and comparing their respective shotguns. May the demons and the Xenomorphs help them if Doomguy and Hicks decide to rock the heavens and team up...
* That shotgun that Hicks keeps for "close encounters?" It's a [[AncestralWeapon family heirloom]] passed down from his great-great-great grandfather, who was a [[TheVietnamVet Vietnam veteran]]. And up until it was rendered useless by the Xenomorph's acid blood, it was still in working condition. Hicks was understandably pissed upon losing that weapon.
* Aside from Ripley (and her daughter), Hicks is an expert on the Xenomorphs. Of course, that still doesn't stop ambitious arms dealers and greedy corporations from trying to use the Aliens as a bio-weapon...with diastrous results. Fortunately, Sonya Blade - following the deified Kombatants' run-in with a Xenomorph mixed with Tarkartan DNA, hence the Tarkartan blades - was able to have Hicks debrief her allies about the dangers of the Xenomorph.
** He ''does'' wonder if Cassie is an ancestor to [[AcePilot Lieutenant Lisa]] [[LadyOfWar Reid]], a dropship pilot and fellow Colonial Marine. "[[Creator/AshlyBurch She sounds a lot like her]]," Hicks muses.
* Not a big fan of the deified Locust God, General RAAM. The fact that RAAM had attacked his Colonial Marines may have something to do with it. On the opposite end, Hicks is good friends with both Damon Baird and Marcus Fenix, with Baird interested in the Colonial Marines' firepower. Both Hicks and Baird debate on which weapon was better; the Gears' Lancer or the Colonial Marines' Pulse Rifle and Smart Gun.
* Almost shot the Metroid Hatchling before Samus Aran stopped him. Hicks was flabbergasted upon seeing the Baby nuzzle Samus in affection until the bounty hunter explained everything to him. Turns out that the Metroid aren't fans of the Xenos as much as Samus. But Hicks keeps his distance, as be still doesn't trust aliens.

* OddFriendship: [[Pantheon/ChefsAndEstablishments Bob Belcher]], [[Pantheon/LivingObjects Goliath]], [[Pantheon/{{Disguises}} Thel'Vadam]]
* Private James Ramirez is a peculiar soldier that seems more capable that his rank would actually indicate. According to bystanders, Ramirez was ordered to take out a group of Hydra soldiers with a pistol and a knife. Oddly enough he succeeded. Basically, he is the one that is going to do the most dangerous task if his team orders him to.
* Ramirez was happy that he wasn't the only American soldier of his world, as he got to meet Team Metal (Who at the time were fighting the Russian invasion in the eastern coast). He also learned about Sheperd's true intentions, thanks to Captain Price telling him the truth, and has since then refused to take orders from him.
* Ramirez is usually minding his own business now that the war is over, but he often can't help but show up when someone shouts his name. [[MemeticMutation And he often finds himself doing ridiculous tasks because people want him to]].
* Not very happy that Makarov is running rampant in the halls of the pantheon and has been recruited by Captain Price in order to take him down. Hopefully this time he doesn't have to do everything.
* It is commonly assumed that [[MemeticMutation Ramirez won the war against the Russians by himself]]. Or mostly because [[ItsUpToYou his superiors kept telling him what to do]]
* He also gets along with Commander Shepard, which is ironic considering that his actual commander who shares a similar name, didn't turn out to be the good guy after all.
* Sometimes, Ramirez can be seen guarding the restaurant of Bob Belcher with a few sentry guns, which have startled the usual visitors of said place. Nobody knows why he does that, but many suspect that he is JustFollowingOrders from Sgt. Foley. [[MemeticMutation It's the closest thing to a Burger Town that you can find in the pantheon]].
* It is said that he often likes to have long conversations with Gordon Freeman, as they often are the ones that have to do everything. [[HeroicMime Nobody knows how they even communicate with each other]].
* Nobody knows why, but Ramirez has a lot of respect for Goliath and Thel'Vadam, which many attribute to them [[Creator/KeithDavid sounding earily similar]] to Sgt. Foley.
** After learning this, Dr. Facilier, who also sounds an awful lot like Foley, has started manipulating Ramirez to do his bidding. Ramirez doesn't like this one bit.
* He gets along with Hayate Ayasaki given that both tend to find themselves in wacky situations. And because their superiors also like to [[SayMyName shout their name when they order them to do something]].
* Also finds common ground with [[Pantheon/WeaponWielding Link]], what with them being their universes' errant boys and not saying much. Ramirez considers Link something of a forefather, since he does all the hero work in his universe all by himself.

* Opposes: [[Pantheon/MilitaryAndWarfare En Sabah Nur/Apocalypse]], [[Pantheon/MilitaryRanks Sergeant Hartman]], [[Pantheon/TaintedLaw Miko Miyazaki]]
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: House of Pantheon/MilitaryAndWarfare
* Pities: Niko Bellic
* One of the most popular surgeons in the {{Multiverse}}, Hawkeye Pierce has made several attempts to enter the House of Health and Diseases to no avail. He had to woo them in another way. It was at the House of War where his presence was most felt. Alexander the Great caught the surgeon delivering distilled liquor to his BadassArmy. The Quadrumvirate of War sent him to the Court of the Gods to state his punishment. Instead, the court ruled that Hawkeye's request of godhood to be granted... on one condition. He will be placed in the House of War to sell liquor to the masses.
** It's safe to say that both sides were unsatisfied with the ruling. The House of War is not a fan of the man's [[MilitaryMaverick aversion to following orders]]. Hawkeye had hoped he wouldn't be placed there for a big reason: [[ActualPacifist he hates violence in general]]. He only does his job to make sure others don't suffer like he did in the Korean War. Being sent back to a place of constant war is a cruel bit of irony for him.
** Had a few kind words for those who [[WarIsGlorious glorify the horrors of conflict]]. After Apocalypse belittled him by stating he had no business in being in the house, Hawkeye proceeded to go on a CharacterFilibuster lasting a whole 20 minutes. Amused by his audacity, Apocalypse let him speak the whole time... then let him go. There was a strong spirit in that man that he felt was holding itself back.
** Sergeant Hartman thought he could break the man with his harsh prep talks. That only caused Hawkeye to become even more insubordinate to the man. Things got worse for him when more lax deities started to join in on the fun. Things finally got resolved by the Courts which called for a ceasefire. It was clear to Hartman that he would have to use a different tactic to get the surgeon to work more efficiently.
** Was at least pleased that there is a God of {{Military Maverick}}s and he just happened to be captain of one of the most unruly soldiers in the Pantheon. Captain Titus may not show his support for the man, but secretly admits that Hawkeye is good at maintaining high moral. All he asks is to keep the happy hours at a minimum.
* Luckily, the Pantheon has no shortage of pacifists in the Pantheon. Both Fuuka and Relena sympathized with his plight in the House of War. There are others who follow the philosophy to the best of their abilities, although they are put in certain situations where that isn't possible. Hawkeye wishes they could fulfill their lifestyle, even at the cost of their divinity.
* The House of Health and Diseases on the other hand welcomed him with open arms. It may not have been an ideal place to set up, but members of that house now have a place to set up a subdivision. Hawkeye in particular is a fan of Dr. House, who often spits in the face of authority. House is relieved to have at least one doctor who doesn't care about his pills.
** That put him squarely on team House, making a rival after Cox. The doctor makes sure to give Hawkeye a hard time for his lackadaisical nature.
* Not to be confused with the superhero Hawkeye, though the two are close friends. The surgeon pays no attention to the archer's past, only glad Clint wants to be a better man. Clint did try to give the 'Hawkguy' moniker to Pierce... to no avail.
* Yes, he is named after '[[UsefulNotes/FranklinPierce a president]], [[Literature/TheLeatherstockingTales an indian]] and [[http://www.piercestoves.ie a stove]]. That joke has already been made plenty of times and he would wished you can come up with more original jokes.
* Drunkards scrambled to have a taste of his vintage brewery, causing more ire from the House of War. Frequent visitors include Barney Grumble and Captain Haddock. The later was interested in bringing him along with Tintin on adventures, knowing he could make a drink out of almost anything. Tintin quickly shot that idea down, knowing the two would be ineffective drunk.
* It may look like that Hawkeye has an easy-going lifestyle, but it belies a man who was broken by war. He does a good job hiding it, but every once in a while his experiences causes him to break down in tears. Oddly enough, he was given comfort from Niko of all people. His subsequent life as a criminal may unnerve Hawkeye, but Niko's support is a welcome relief in the House of War.
* A good rule of thumb of whether Hawkeye would hate someone is how much that person is like Frank Burns. And he may have found his sponsor in the form of Miko Miyazaki. Her strict interpretation of the rules to a fault bugs him to no end.
* Gets along with Alistair though. Despite being leader of a group of righteous soldiers, Alistair himself is a fun guy to hang out with as long as you do a decent job. The warden seems to do the best job in telling Hawkeye what to do.
* Saw the House of Love as a godsend, as he went on to hit on a number of women. There were a few that even returned the favor. While he has gotten quite the list of lovers, he respects them in general.
** Frequently visits Abby in the House of Science. While it makes sense that a surgeon visits a lab scientist for unusual injuries, rumors flooded that they may be hitting it on. It was confirmed by both... who proceeded to tell them it's none of their business.
* Don't put him in a small room. He is highly {{Claustrophobia}} which will hinder his performance.
* Never, ever, tell him their having Fish and Liver. After having it over and over for days straight he got sick of it and lead many into a near riot demanding something else

* Opposed by: [[Pantheon/{{Laughter}} The Joker]], all ShellShockedVeteran deities, pacifists
* Complicated Relationship with: [[Pantheon/MilitaryRanks Gunnery Sgt. Hartman]]
* Four years after helping Captain Willard, Kilgore was saddened and downright revolted that the US troops were being removed from Vietnam. His dedication to warfare led to an ascension.
* Along with Combat, one of his favorite houses is Pantheon/FireAndHeat. He says it smells like victory.
* Kilgore managed to get one of his helicopters in the pantheon, and flies it daily hoping to find some battle. Once he found out about a propeller-based robot, he was quick to recruit Gyro Man to serve as living support aircraft.
* Has found some other Vietnam vets in the pantheon. He has bonded with the equally warmongering Punisher, but has conflicting opinions with Gunnery Sgt. Hartman, given unlike him Kilgore [[AFatherToHisMen actually cares about his subordinates]]. [[Pantheon/CyberneticsAndEnhancements Iron Man]] and [[Pantheon/WritingTechniques Flash Thompson]], who [[ComicBookTime used to have been in Vietnam]] [[RetCon but only remembers having fought in Iraq]], didn't want to talk to him. [[Pantheon/CausesOfSadness Rambo]], who arguably never came back from 'Nam, openly dislikes him.
* Obelix likes to join his battles, specially because Kilgore follows them by throwing a barbecue party in the battlefield. James Vega, who was noted for drinking and playing cards between battles, is also a common partner, as he can't avoid such an excuse to fight and party.
* The Joker has a grudge on him, claiming he owns razor-sharp cards that are the real "Death Cards".
* His WarIsGlorious viewpoint makes him not very well liked by traumatized soldiers, specially those raisedbred to be warriors (Master Chief, [[Pantheon/InvestigativeWork Solid Snake]]), unwillingly put in the battlefield ([[Pantheon/SocialAndRecreationalWork Katniss Everdeen]]) and wrecked enough to become terrorists ([[Pantheon/{{Protagonists}} Martin Walker]]).
* In spite of how brutal he is, [[Pantheon/{{Regionalities}} Atticus Finch]] says people shouldn't judge by his appearance, citing Boo Radley as an example.
* If one of his adversaries suffers AmusingInjuries, Kilgore will offer him water:
-->Any man brave enough to fight with his guts strapped in can drink from my canteen any day.
* Vito Corleone has hired him as an enforcer, helped by the fact Kilgore reminds him of Tom Hagen.
* At times he takes the warmongering action figures known as the Commando Elite in his helicopter. Kilgore deems them the kind of toys he wanted in his childhood.

* When offered the position in the Pantheon, Corporal Jones asked permission from his superior Captain Mainwaring. Mainwaring agreed, while looking quite flustered and unhappy. He was welcome by many members of the House of War and the House of Weapons for his long service as a soldier.
* Whenever something dramatic or exciting happens in the Pantheon, he will run through the House of Weapons (or wherever he is at the time) shouting “DON’T PANIC! DON’T PANIC!”
* Expresses slight envy towards Captain America for being as old as he is, but still being younger and stronger. Jones has since vowed to be as good a soldier as Rogers is. When told about this, Rogers met Jones, saluted him, and gave him an encouraging pat on the back.

* A [[{{Ranger}} US Army Ranger]] originally assigned to the 1st and later 2nd Ranger Battalions, Lt. Mike Powell was notable amongst his fellow Rangers [[SoleSurvivor for not only surviving seemingly impossible odds where his squadmates are killed in action]], but also [[{{Determinator}} being determined to accomplish his current mission at any and all costs]]. This just so happened to be exactly what transpired during his first mission, in Operation ''Torch'' in November 1942, when his entire squad, including his commanding officer Lt. Richards, were killed by the German Afrika Korps just outside Arzew, Algeria.
** Born in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, on May 5, 1916, Mike Powell prior to the start of World War II managed to finish a degree in military history and languages at West Point. Immediately, Powell was assigned to the 34th Infantry Division. Here, his exceptional marksmanship and leadership skills were noted, which eventually earned him a promotion to 1st Lieutenant. When the US officially joined the war following the Attack on Pearl Harbor, Powell volunteered to join the 1st Ranger Battalion, where he was accepted and assigned to upon the unit's activation in mid-1942.
** Despite his first mission initially suffering from a number of setbacks, Powell was able to successfully rescue Major Jack Grillo, an SAS agent who had been captured by the Afrika Korps, and the VIP that the Rangers were after. With Grillo's help, Powell wreaked havoc on German tank and supply depots, a Luftwaffe airfield, a German radar station, and captured an important lighthouse that would be used to signal the Allied invasion fleet. It was because of Powell's lone accomplishments that Major Grillo recommended Lt. Mike Powell to undertake missions for the UsefulNotes/{{OSS}}, an organization whose members regularly operated while TrappedBehindEnemyLines.
* During his first mission as part of the OSS, in this case to a German U-boat pen near Trondheim, Norway, once again Powell's mission [[GoneHorriblyWrong went horribly wrong]], with his contact Major Grillo killed by a German sniper. Once again, however, despite this major loss, Powell continued on, stole several Kriegsmarine documents on the Naxos radar detector, successfully [[DressingAsTheEnemy disguising himself as a German officer]], and destroying both the first Naxos prototype and the ''U-529'', a U-boat which housed a second test unit. And, once again, Powell manages to escape alive, with help from both the Norwegian Resistance and members of the 1st Ranger Battalion.
* The Lieutenant's most famous mission, arguably, would be the Omaha Beach landings on D-Day, June 6th, 1944. Reassigned to the newly-formed 2nd Ranger Battalion, Powell and his unit would land at Charlie Sector of Omaha Beach, which was heavily defended, complete with several machine gun positions and heavy artillery present. With most of his unit either dead on the beach or severely wounded nearby, Powell was ordered by his immediate superior, a Ranger Captain, to finish their mission of clearing the German coastal defenses alone. Fortunately for Powell, he was able to accomplish this with little issue, catching the Germans by surprise, massacring them in turn, and taking out all machine gun positions. With the Rangers and 29th Infantry Division having suffered heavy casualties, Powell was ordered to help Capt. Ramsey of Able Company, 2nd Ranger Battalion, take out German artillery positions south of Omaha Beach. With help from scattered units of the 101st Airborne and air support from a P-47 Thunderbolt, Powell was able to destroy two 88mm Flak guns, a 20mm AntiAir gun, four Nebelwerfer rocket artillery launchers, a Tiger tank, a Half-Track, and a few hundred or so Waffen-SS soldiers.
* With Omaha Beach and the bocage surrounding it and Carentan secured, Powell was recalled back into OSS service to help [[LaResistance the French Resistance]] sabotage the German defenses around Normandy, as well as to find out the details about the brand-new King Tiger Heavy Tank, the successor of the already formidable Tiger I. Compared to previous missions, Powell would be doing this alone from the start, save for being driven between and out of locations by the Resistance members. During the first half of this mission, which involved diverting German attention away from one of their field headquarters (a heavily defended mansion), Powell would blow up a platoon of parked Tiger tanks as well as a German-held train station along with a supply train. The second half of this mission would have Powell infiltrate the aforementioned German HQ, steal a number of vital German documents including a King Tiger Tank manual, send a false communication requesting for German weapons (that the Resistance would intercept and capture for themselves), and even [[HoistByHisOwnPetard destroy two parked King Tiger tanks with the Germans' own satchel charges]].
* Thanks to the captured King Tiger tank manual, the OSS was able to train a veteran American tank crew to man the tank, main gun, driver's seat and all. Powell would then be given a special mission by the OSS in support of the Allied advance to the French port of Brest, which would involve him and the Allied King Tiger Crew to move through the heavily defended French town of Landenau, [[VehicularTurnabout steal a working King Tiger tank from a German tank crew]], and drive it to an important bridge near Brest. Despite heavy resistance from German snipers and tanks, Powell was able to get Sergeant Hammond, Engineer Campbell, and Medic Glenn of the 6th Armored Division safely to the town hall, where the King Tiger was found. Together, they advanced from Landenau to Brest, encountering stiff German resistance in the form of Panzer IV tanks, Tiger I Heavy tanks, 88mm Flak guns, and dozens of German infantrymen. Near Brest, Powell had to accomplish the most difficult portion of the mission: to prevent the bridge from being destroyed by the Germans, then cover the commandeered King Tiger tank from a counterattack by a German heavy tank battalion and their mechanized infantry support. Fortunately for Powell and the tank crew, this time they had help from Allied air support and artillery, who promptly took care of the Tiger tanks (plus [[UniqueEnemy one King Tiger tank]]) that were obliterating their positions.
* Powell's final mission in Europe would see him finally assigned back to the 2nd Ranger Battalion, with them operating alongside the OSS. Despite Lt. Jimmy Patterson's successful destruction of Fort Schmerzen in November 1944, Col. Muller, the fort's commander, was able to reconstruct and restore the fort to operational status. And additionally, alongside the reconstructed mustard gas production facility in the basement, the fort was now also being used to hold Allied prisoners-of-war, either as a stopping point for POW camps, or worse, as forced labor or test subjects for the gas. Much like his previous missions, Powell's contributions would be vital for the plan to succeed, as he would weaken the fort's defenses before the planned raid. These included: destroying AntiAir defenses near the fort, stealing an [=STG44=] Assault Rifle from an underground facility and destroying a shipment of these new rifles, [[TheRadioDiesFirst killing off the fort's entire comms network]], and securing a heavily guarded German train station and commandeering a German train as a TrojanHorse to get the Ranger task force into the fort. [[OverlyLongGag Once again, this mission was a resounding success]], with the Rangers suffering minimal casualties (around 6 men), rescuing all Allied prisoners unharmed, and finally ending with Powell [[StuffBlowingUp blowing Fort Schmerzen sky high]] and [[CollapsingLair escaping its destruction]]. Lt. Mike Powell's tour in Europe would end here, in January 1945, with Powell himself surviving the war.
** For his actions in the North African and European Theaters as part of the 1st Ranger Battalion, Office of Strategic Services, and 2nd Ranger Battalion, Powell would receive: (1) the Legion of Merit (for North Africa), (2) the Norwegian War Cross with Sword (for Norway), (3) the American Campaign Medal (for his actions at Omaha Beach and near Vierville), (4) the Good Conduct Medal (for destroying two parked King Tiger tanks while infiltrating a German field HQ in Normandy), (5) the Distinguished Service Medal (for safely escorting the full Allied King Tiger Crew at Landenau), (6) the Army Commendation Medal (for keeping Ranger casualties at a minimum during the raid on Fort Schmerzen), and (7), (8), and (9) the Bronze Star, Silver Star, and Distinguished Service Cross (for his entire tour of the European Theater of World War II).
* With an impressive service record like this for one man, it was only a matter of time until Lt. Mike Powell attracted the attention of the deities of the Pantheon. Powell wouldn't have to wait long for his chance. Following Johann Schmidt's and HYDRA's overthrow of Downfall-verse Adolf Hitler from the Pantheon, Schmidt hijacked the entire Nazi German war effort currently residing there. He would then make tremendous efforts to ascend personnel who would be loyal or sympathetic to his cause, the cause in question being to take over the Pantheon and placing it under Axis control. Thus far, Schmidt's efforts have been successful, with German Army, Waffen-SS, Luftwaffe, and Kriegsmarine units fully ascended and ready for battle. Alongside these units, several related locations would also ascend into the Pantheon as Dominions, [[Pantheon/DominionsExpansion with notable examples including Omaha Beach, Fort Schmerzen, and even a few cities from the war such as London and even a war-torn version of Berlin]]. Thanks in part to the incessant German attacks on various locations throughout the Pantheon, as well as the fact that the Nazis have since sprung up a number of their own Temples as major headquarters and heavily-guarded bases, someone with expertise in both frontline combat and irregular warfare would be needed.
* Thanks to these circumstances, President Franklin D. Roosevelt would select Lt. Mike Powell for ascension into the Pantheon, specifically by sending the Lieutenant a letter notifying him of his new assignment, as well as the current strategic situation on hand in this new and unfamiliar place. Powell himself would end up accepting this new assignment of his, especially after hearing that Fort Schmerzen, which had to be taken down twice, was in the Pantheon and fully restored to operational status. His first combat deployment in the Pantheon, however, would be at Omaha Beach, whose beach defenses have since been restored and reinforced by newly-arrived German Heer Infanterie units. Not only that, but the inland defenses have also been reinforced as well, in this case by Waffen-SS units supported by German tanks and assault guns, as well as dug-in gun emplacements.
** Supported by Charlie Company of the 2nd Ranger Battalion, as well as Pvt. Robert Zussman of the 1st Infantry Division, Powell and his new allies managed to successfully create an opening in the German coastal defenses. Charlie Company provided the Lieutenant with vital support, giving him a distraction needed to infiltrate a German bunker overlooking the beach. Whilst Charlie Company once again cleared the beach's trenches and outer networks while Zussman helped destroy German artillery guns near the beach, Powell once again cleared a German bunker and their entrenched defenders singlehandedly, even helping Charlie Company finish off a platoon of retreating German infantry.
** Further inland, Powell and Charlie Company, now aided by Lt. Karl Fairburne and elements of the 101st Airborne Division, specifically Sgt. Jack Barnes, Staff Sergeant Matthew Baker, Staff Sergeant Joseph Hartsock, Pfc. Gary Jasper, and Pfc. Timothy Connor, and even a few men from Easy Company, manage to take out several 88mm Flak gun positions and German armored vehicles in the bocage, either by blowing them up with bazookas or {{Satchel Charge}}s, or by calling in friendly air support in the form of the Battlehawks, whose P-38 Lightnings, P-51 Mustangs, and [=DeHavilland=] Mosquitos rain death and destruction on German-held towns and French roads. Ultimately, Powell's mission to help secure Omaha Beach, at least for the time being, is a resounding success, with the Germans forced into retreat and the beach itself once again being used to land in much-needed reinforcements and supplies. Easy Company's men, particularly Major Dick Winters and Capt. Ronald Speirs, thanked the Lieutenant for his help, even providing Powell with vital German intel in the form of maps showing important German artillery positions throughout Normandy.
* Impressed by Powell's first combat assignment in the Pantheon, Fairburne offers the US Ranger to join him, Sgt. Barnes, and Captain William J. Blazkowicz in performing sabotage missions deep behind German lines, specifically the sabotage of Operation ''Kraken'', a joint German-Japanese plan to attack Allied-occupied sections of the Pantheon with submarine-launched V2 rockets. Powell is specifically selected to act as Fairburne's TargetSpotter slash backup sniper for this mission, due to his prior experience in operating stealthily behind German lines, infiltrating U-boat pens, and storming heavily guarded compounds. Much like his previous missions in Normandy back in his world, Powell, with help from his new allies, manage to sneak into German U-boat pen, destroy a ''Kraken''-modified U-boat intended to transport advanced weapon components to Imperial Japanese Naval bases in other parts of the Pantheon, retrieve important German battle plans and intelligence, and even bomb a few parked Panzer IV, Sturmgeschutz III, and Tiger I Heavy tanks intended for a planned counterattack on Omaha Beach.
** It was also during these missions in Normandy that Powell would meet The Basterds, who just so happen to be from the OSS like him. Unlike Powell, who is a StealthExpert, the Basterds like to do their missions the loud way, massacring any Germans they come across and killing them in the most brutal ways. Despite their differences in approach, Powell comes to respect Lt. Aldo Raine and his men, especially after hearing that two of their number were actually able to kill Adolf Hitler and the Nazi high command, ending their World War II much earlier.
* Some time following their latest mission in Nazi-occupied France, Powell is informed by Barnes regarding a newly-ascended deity by the name of Lt. Col. Arnold Berkman, a name mentioned a few times in the documents they retrieved from one of the ''Kraken'' compounds. Berkman's ascension, according to the captured German intel, was arranged by Schmidt and Wilhelm "Deathshead" Strasse, the two highest-ranking Nazi commanders in the Pantheon, and has been making rounds in various Temples, Halls, and Houses, specifically those relating to cloning and mages, with witches having the most focus. Of particular interest is Berkman's interactions with one Tanya von Degurechaff, who hails from a universe very similar to Berkman's, in this case involving both a {{Kaiserreich}} and the use of witches and magic.
** In addition, documents intercepted by both Fairburne and Barnes from German officers they've both killed and looted from mention a recurring name: "Weisshexe". Assuming that this is yet another Nazi wonderweapons project being brought into the Pantheon, Fairburne, Barnes, and Powell decide to investigate this lead further, by infiltrating a mysterious underground facility, a former [=V2=] rocket production facility, near [[Pantheon/AdministrativeCenters War-Torn Berlin]]. For this mission, Powell would be tasked as an [[TheMole inside man]] due to his prior experience in similar deep-cover missions. In this case, Powell would be [[DressingAsTheEnemy disguising himself as a Waffen Storm Leader]], a high-ranking Waffen-SS officer often seen leading other Waffen-SS units, and also serve as PraetorianGuard units for high-ranking Nazis such as Rudolf von Sturmgeist.
** With Fairburne providing sniper support from outside and Barnes [[WeNeedADistraction diverting the attention of German forces away from the facility]], Powell successfully infiltrates the ElaborateUndergroundBase, stealing a Waffen Storm Leader's uniform and identification papers in the process. Quietly making his way through and presenting his papers to any German sentry who asks for them, Powell makes his way deeper into the facility, quietly killing any German officers who become suspicious of him and stealing their higher level identification papers in turn. As he heads into the deepest section, he notices several vaults containing human bodies suspended in a yellowish green liquid. This immediately arouses the Lieutenant's suspicions, as none of the German wonderweapons he's dealt with prior had anything to do with human experimentation.
** As he makes it into the laboratory on the lowest level, the Lieutenant could not have been more shocked. "Weisshexe" was never about creating a conventional wonderweapon like a missile or fighter aircraft. but was instead the Nazis artificially ascending a new deity into the Pantheon via cloning experiments, in this a literal white witch from an alternate world. One who was rather sympathetic to the Nazis' views and desires to conquer or destroy those that opposed them. And her name...was Sophie. Managing to witness her revival and ascension from within the lab, Powell notices Berkman giving the young woman two vials, a red one containing blood of some sort which causes her to awaken and ask the Lt. Colonel where she is, and a blue one, which is instead injected into her right arm, which causes her some minor discomfort, before she easily breaks free from her steel restraints as if they were made of paper.
** Realizing the threat that this new potential SuperSoldier could pose, Powell decides to act quickly, stealing any vital documents he can find, secretly taking photos of the witch's revival using a spy camera, planting remote-detonated explosives near one of the lab's large glass vats so as to provide a distraction, and finally, stealing an [=STG44=] assault rifle from the lab's armories. Making his move, Powell detonates the explosive charges, opens fire on the nearest German sentries and scientists near him, and begins running like hell out of the facility. Unsure if he's actually managed to destroy the lab and steal all of their research notes, Powell nonetheless manages to escape back to the surface unscathed and link up with Fairburne, the latter managing to take out the sentries on the outside as well as any German reinforcments attempting to block off their escape.
** Whilst this mission ends on a [[BittersweetEnding mixed note]], with Sophie surviving the attempt on her life, wreaking havoc on the Allies on the rest of the Pantheon, bombing London with Hexenium-powered V1 Flying Bombs, and even leading an invasion of [[Pantheon/FictionalSettings the Dominion of the Principality of Eylstadt]], Powell's actions would not be unnoticed by other deities. Seeing his one-man AssassinationAttempt that could very well have killed several HYDRA officers including Schmidt himself, Captain Steve Rogers takes an interest in the Lieutenant, asking him to help stop the threat that Sophie and her new handlers pose. Thanks to the documents that Powell had stolen, which covered Sophie's history in her world, as well as the wonderweapons that were derived from Hexenium, the magical energy a witch like her could crystallize, the Allies at the very least knew what they were dealing with. This would eventually lead to Rogers to arrange for Izetta, Sophie's ArchEnemy, to be ascended in the Pantheon to stop or at least neutralize the threat that she posed. Powell himself would play a big part in this, assisting Rogers in rescuing the newly ascended witch from Nazi captivity. Specifically, this involved assisting both Rogers and Sgt. James Buchanan Barnes in raiding Schmidt's Schnellzug EB 912, where Rudolf von Sturmgeist was guarding an unconscious Izetta for transport to Berlin. Powell would end up killing several Waffen Storm Leaders and Waffen Officers that were backing up the Hauptsturmfuhrer.
* With Powell's reputation as a skilled soldier and OSS agent now established in the Pantheon, he would once again be tasked with taking several more missions by other deities, most notably from Nicholas J. Fury. Fury, one of the biggest thorns on HYDRA's side, has been keeping tabs on several of the latter's allies, with Dr. Rene Belloq, a French archaeologist and Nazi collaborator, being a priority target due to his research and retrieval of ancient artifacts with the potential to win the war in the Axis Powers' favor. With help from the aforementioned Lt. Karl Fairburne as well as other deities like Dr. Henry Walton Jones, Jr., Powell is once again deployed to the North African Theater of war, where he ends up clashing against Belloq, now aided by the likes of General Franz Vahlen, the Schutzvollstrecker unit, and the Italian Army's Paracadutisti soldiers.
* When not in combat, Powell can often be seen supervising and practicing an advanced field training course, involving learning how to move in combat, use a SatchelCharge against German tanks, and fire various weapons ranging from handguns and submachine guns to a Springfield SniperRifle, and even grenade practice. During these non-combat missions, he often assists Captain Herbert Sobel, an officer who specializes in drilling recruits, with Powell serving as field instructor during the firing range component of the course.
** Thanks to his experience in destroying German tanks on a semi-regular basis, Powell has been making friends with quite a few deities associated with WWII-era tanks, both on the Allied side and non-aligned. This was how Powell got to become close friends with the crew of ''Fury'', whom the Lieutenant had met prior near Omaha Beach when they and the rest of their Sherman tank platoon linked up with Powell and Charlie and Dog Companies of the 2nd Ranger Battalion. "Wardaddy" Collier in particular was happy to hear that Powell had taken out several Tiger I tanks already, both in his home universe and in the Pantheon, as the American tank commander admitted that the German heavy tank was a pain to deal with, no thanks to his own personal experiences in Germany in 1945.
** Of particular note is his IntergenerationalFriendship with the Oarai Girls' Academy Anglerfish Team and one of their rivals, Maho Nishizumi. Whilst they, Yukari Akiyama in particular, were able to impress Powell by knowing the ins and outs of the very German tanks that he's fought against in both his world and the Pantheon, Powell narrated to them his personal accounts of when he clashed with German tanks in both North Africa and France. Of all these stories, they especially loved it when Powell told them about his missions relating to the King Tiger tank, due to the fact that the Lieutenant not only got to capture and read an actual King Tiger tank training manual, but even got to actually get inside and actually crew a working example, which he drove across the French countryside and took out several other German tanks with.
* Much like Charlie Company, Easy Company, Indiana Jones, and, by extension, his fellow Allied deities from the ''Medal Of Honor'' universe, Lt. Mike Powell is another creation of famed American director Steven Spielberg. Powell's ascension was, in fact, partly arranged by Spielberg (who personally recommended Powell to President Franklin D. Roosevelt, in fact) to help combat the threat that Schmidt and his fellow Nazis posed to the Pantheon. In fact, several of Spielberg's indirect creations from the aforementioned universe, in the form of the Waffen Infantry, Waffen Officers, Waffen Storm Leaders, and Nazi Storm Elites, were ascended via Schmidt's and Deathshead's machinations, and were being used by them and other high-ranking Nazis as footsoldiers in their attempts to conquer other Houses. In a sense, Spielberg's ascension of Powell, alongside his fellow Allied soldiers, is Spielberg's way of preventing further damage.

* Enemies: '''[[Pantheon/RoyaltyOther Lord Gwyn]], [[Pantheon/BossDesign Sister Friede]]''', [[Pantheon/NamingConvention Noob Saibot]]
* An old decript man from a age long ago. Gael was a Slave Knight, an Undead who was sent into battle only during the bleakest of situations purely to serve as [[ResurrectiveImmortality infintely-respawning]] [[CannonFodder fodder]] against the enemy. After a few generations of constant fighting, the other Slave Knights all Hollowed from the hopelessness of their never-ending duty, but Gael did not. As the sole remaining Slave Knight who had not fallen to madness, Gael was drawn into the Painted world of Ariandel, a haven for the forlorn and wretched who have no home of their own. It was there that he found a new master to serve: his Lady, the Painter. When the Painter [[spoiler: finally asked for the Dark Soul of Man]], he didn't hesitate and [[spoiler: sacrificed his life to consume the Dark Soul, in the hopes he can make the entity into a usable manifestation for the Painter.]] This act gave him a spot in the Pantheons, but not before many deities had to give restrictions on him [[spoiler: and the Dark Soul]].
* Just as he ascended, majority of the deities immediately separated him [[spoiler: from his transformed self]] since he got out of control. To Gael’s credit though, his herald, the Painter asked for the [[spoiler: Dark Soul]], which she will use for her painting. He doesn’t mind though, as he is able to wander around the Pantheons without harm. He also says the Pantheon is a much better place than the world he has gone through.
* Has a habit of wondering around the House of Craft, possibly looking for a young, long-haired woman. He was dissappointed upon hearing that she was nowhere to be found, though he remarks that some deities are able to make worlds via painting them.
** Thankfully, he met the Plain Doll, who he finds kinship in since she is as nice as the Painter, though she understands his guilt. [[spoiler: The Doll knows that the reason why the Painter asked for the Dark Soul was to make a home for him, which she does not want to tell, due to being worried that she may grieve him after hearing the truth]].
* Upon his ascension, the SCP Foundation immediately set their eyes on Gael, seeing that [[spoiler: he became a catalyst to the Dark Soul]]. Worried that he may be a massive threat, the O-5 Council placed him as one of the very few non SCP deities to prioritize on, [[spoiler: especially on two things: preventing him from consuming the Dark Soul, and making sure he never encounters Manus]].
** The House of Light & Darkness has also made sure not to let him even one step of the house due to his potential, as they know [[spoiler: darkness was the source of his corruption.]] The Light based ones are willing to help combat his situation should he ever get out of hand.
* He sees alot with Ludwig, Artorias and Guts, seeing them as massive swordsmen who have gone through their harsh upbringings [[spoiler: and eventual corruptions]]. Artorias however stays away from him, due to fear of the Abyss that corrupted him for a long time.
* He is also glad upon hearing that the Ashen One has ascended, since he helped him clear Sister Friede from the clutches of the Painted World of Ariandel, something he has problems doing by himself. Unfortunately, upon hearing that even ''she'' ascended alongside, he is willing to fight her again to make sure she stays dead, even if it means dying a hundred times over.
** Who would knew that the Chosen Undead and Bearer of the Curse would be similar with him in more ways than one. Undeads who would mean nothing due to being weak and fragile, only to rise up and be the source of the fate of the world they all live in.
* Sora pities him to a good extent. He has seen so many corrupted Heartless, but nothing can compare than [[spoiler: to a person who got corrupted willingly to what is essentially Humanity’s missing aspect, all while having a good purpose in his ultimatum goals]]. He sees a good heart in him, since he is willing to sacrifice alot for the Painter, but is worried by the fact that [[spoiler: he become corrupted by ''eating'' the Dark Soul]].
** On the other hand, Master Xehanort is willing to use him [[spoiler: to extract the Dark Soul for his intentions, since he can use said soul to create a new batch of Heartless]]. He has avoided him to make sure this never happens.
* As a slave, he enjoys the company of the Vortiguants, seeing them as former slaves who gained independence, just like him. The Vortiguants also see uniqueness in him, especially for a human.
* Out of all the deities who are interested in him, the Ancestor is the most notable. He sees Gael as a proof that [[spoiler:[[HumansAreCthulhu humans are not different from abominations as a whole.]]]] On the other hand, he knows the Ancestor’s cruel intentions, which is why he tries to avoid him (emphasis on 'try'').
-->'''The Ancestor''': And here I show you all, [[spoiler: that we are all one and the same. The undeniable truth of "humanity", at our fingertips.]]\
'''Gael''': I know your kind, and I’ve seen enough of your kind. Now leave me be.\
'''The Ancestor''': You cannot escape madness! I have seen countless people try, and you won’t be exempted from it.
** Noob Saibot also sees interest in him, seeing to himself that he can be a much worthy wielder [[spoiler: of the Dark Soul]], which however means killing the old man. He will not allow that to happen anytime soon.
* Gwyn went on a rampage hearing that [[spoiler: another Dark Soul incarnate]] has ascended. He attempted to kill him in the first few days of his ascension, but the conflict has lessened. Still, Gwyn’s fury is high enough to send more guards to dispose of him. The Slave Knight has nothing but utter loss for the Lord of Cinder, hearing that [[spoiler: had Gwyn not removed Humanity’s original Dark Soul using the Darksign, the entire world would have not engulfed itself into a massive cycle between Flame and Dark]].
* The Human Child is someone Gael is rather envious about, seeing that his Determination helped alot with his friends, as well as being an actual power in of itself. He wishes that such a power would exist in his world, then maybe the fates of most humans wouldn’t so bad overall.
** On his first day of his ascension, Finn the Human immediately wanted to slay him, seeing him as a dangerous person [[spoiler: for possessing the Dark Soul]]. However, upon realizing his ultimate goal, and his real attitude, he grew to pity him, seeing that even an old, decreipt man has a heart at the worst times. He is even willing to help him gain what the Painter needs even though Gael mentions that he must do it himself. [[spoiler: Even moreso with the Dark Soul, which he has dedicated himself to be the sacrificial host for it so that the essence can be used for the Painting.]] While sad hearing that he cannot help him in anyway, he has made an oath with the hero of Ooo: [[spoiler: should he go corrupted once more, he and the Ashen One shall slay him and deliver the Dark Soul to his herald]], to which he accepted.
-->'''Finn''': Look, I know your goals but I know there has to be another way.
-->'''Gael''': I know, but it has to be this way.
-->'''Finn''': No, but there is always another way, a third option right?
-->'''Gael''': There is none. You cannot grasp it fully with just your bare hands. A sacrifice must be needed, [[spoiler: for the Dark Soul has to be delivered.]]
-->'''Finn''': Then fine! I will find a way, not everyone has to go through such suffering.
* ''”[[spoiler: What? Still here, hand it over, that thing, your Dark Soul. For my Lady’s Painting.]]”''
