the Creator/{{Fox Kids}} promo featuring Godzilla in 1999
* While most Advertising/{{Orangina}} commercials feature all CGI characters, they have some that include live-action humans, like this [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nV5vx0yqEo one.]]
* Those e-surance commercials in which famed pink-haired superspy and nerd heartthrob Advertising/ErinEsurance "draws" various customers to their auto insurance.
* Many cereal mascots frequently hang out with live-action kids. It's commercials like these that actually ''inspired'' the TropeNamer's book.
* Several commercials for Creator/CartoonNetwork's ''Creator/CartoonCartoons'' shows depict the characters in the real world. One such example was the ''[[Film/AHardDaysNight Hard Days Night]]'' spoof [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofvXa_TWrc8&NR=1 "Cartoon Cartoons: Always On The Run."]]
* Creator/ChuckECheese commercials as of the "Avenger" era feature an animated Chuck E. interacting with real world kids and grownups in various situations. He ShiftedToCGI following the "rockstar" relaunch.
* The American Express extended spots featuring Creator/JerrySeinfeld and Franchise/{{Superman}}. [[https://youtu.be/AeVdtvwJlzo There's also a commercial]] featuring ComicStrip/{{Garfield}} and his creator Jim Davis.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxnfGghO5gQ This]] NSPCC advert uses this trope to dramatic (and [[NightmareFuel very disturbing]]) effect, depicting a live-action father physically abusing his animated son. At the end of the advert, the son gets thrown down the stairs, dizzily falls down in cartoon fashion... and turns into a real, live-action boy lying dead on the floor.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYlkSQA0wm0 A Japanese commercial]] ([[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epk9iCXKrFI full length]]) for Lotte Gum, featuring ''Literature/HaruhiSuzumiya'' characters.
%%* The Honda commercials featuring Mr. Opportunity do this often
%%* ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons'':
%%** Homer and Bart in the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8trzYhFDrY 1990 Fall promo for Fox.]] Ending with Homer getting knocked offscreen by a swinging television set.
%%** [[https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kv-yMAeYkAY A commercial for the Renault Kangoo.]] Complete with Homer insulting the car salesman and giving him poney money as the family drives off.
%%** {{Inverted|Trope}} in this [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vX6FXRgcKQc Burger King]] ad, where Kang and Kodos turn the citizens of a town into the show's cast.
%%** Also inverted with these [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmrQYU5goLw Toyota commercials.]] Depicting the real-world cars in the animated setting of Evergreen Terrance.
* [[http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xhthmn_1991-an-american-tail-reading-is-fundamental-psa_shortfilms This]] 1991 "Reading Is Fundamental" PSA starring [[WesternAnimation/AnAmericanTail Fievel Mousekewitz]], which aired after a showing of ''Film/{{ET|The Extraterrestrial}}''. Fievel suddenly appears in the live-action home of a family that just finished watching the aforementioned movie and tells them all about the "Reading Is Fundamental" initiative, while various celebrities hi-jack the family's TV, all the while the family treats this as an UnusuallyUninterestingSight. The animation was cheaply lifted straight out of ''An American Tail: Fievel Goes West'', and [[HongKongDub Fievel's dialogue doesn't even match up with his mouth movements]].
* Also done (arguably much better) [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPvZGp25hWY in a commercial for]] ''Fievel Goes West'' on VHS. This time they bothered to use original animation.
* During the early days of Creator/TheWB, [[WesternAnimation/OneFroggyEvening Michigan J. Frog]] would constantly appear on the Warner Bros. lot during nighttime singing anything about The WB's shows or even sponsors. During the 1998 season, Michigan's frog songs were ditched out while he was later ditched out during 2005 as the WB itself was refocusing on the teen market.
* Most early ''VideoGame/{{Pokemon}}'' commercials had the characters drawn in the style of the anime with live-action backgrounds, often with human actors ([[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSD0ixlhczY here's an example]]). Around the DS era, the Pokémon were CGI instead.
* Many of the commercials for the ''VideoGame/JakAndDaxter'' trilogy as well as the racing game it later spawned, ''Jak X: Combat Racing'', had the title characters interacting with live-action people.
* WesternAnimation/BettyBoop did a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhtIBTEJfxU commercial for Hypnôse]] alongside Daria Werbowy.

* WesternAnimation/PhineasAndFerb made a special guest appearance in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dD1cnv8Kek a commercial]] for the Los Angeles Marathon.
* ''WesternAnimation/TheTransformers'' did this several times in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9qABpn1U5s the]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeNf3jQ1zdw later]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOvx9ByUUqo toy]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAGdONYuMxQ commercials]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fG77AH_belA this shoe commercial.]]
* The Advertising/MetLife insurance company had a contract that allowed them to use the characters from ''ComicStrip/{{Peanuts}}'' for their advertising, allowing them to run commercials like Lucy and Charlie Brown trying to argue with a [=MetLife=] actuary to sell insurance for five cents. One [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAoCqKK168g commercial]] in particular, becomes a MassiveMultiplayerCrossover not just featuring the gang (who [[ChuckCunninghamSyndrome disappear after the opening shots]]), but also the WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes, [[WesternAnimation/HeManAndTheMastersOfTheUniverse1983 He-Man and Battle Cat]], [[WesternAnimation/TheAtomAntShow Atom Ant]], [[Franchise/ScoobyDoo Mystery Inc.]], [[WesternAnimation/TheMrPeabodyAndShermanShow Mr. Peabody and Sherman]], WesternAnimation/MrMagoo, WesternAnimation/FatAlbertAndTheCosbyKids, WesternAnimation/CasperTheFriendlyGhost, WesternAnimation/TheJetsons, WesternAnimation/QuickDrawMcGraw, WesternAnimation/TopCat, Anime/{{Voltron}}, Series/TheBananaSplits, and ComicBook/RichieRich among several others. Even [[Literature/WheresWally Waldo]] joins in.
* Parodied in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fA8ad71n94 this 1998 Sprite commercial]] (directed by Creator/SpikeJonze), where a mascot pops off the label of a bottle of [[BlandNameProduct "Sun Fizz"]] as a mom serves it to her two kids. They (and the dog) react to the grinning CGI imp in [[ScrewThisImOutOfHere a straightforward manner]].

In these commercials, the Bunny faced off against [[WesternAnimation/WileECoyoteAndTheRoadRunner Wile E. Coyote]] and [[BumblingHenchmenDuo Boris and Natasha]], respectively.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LalgeHNK2eA Another commercial]] featured a live-action animator drawing cartoon rabbits, including the Energizer Bunny, which came to life, until he erased them out of disapproval (with the obvious exception of the Energizer Bunny, as the battery in his mechanical eraser ran out at the time). Like the other two rabbits, the Energizer Bunny himself was animated for this commercial.
** The CGI revival campaign mostly features the Bunny interacting with equally CGI settings and characters, but a few ads ("Snowball", "Hard-Boiled" and "Hare Raising") have the bunny interacting with humans and real-world surroundings.
* The ''VideoGame/MySims'' series did this in it's ads, specifically for the original, ''Kingdom'', and ''Party''. The characters from the games would show up and hand teenagers a Wii remote, which would prompt them to start customizing the world around them (or holding a minigame party in some guy's brain, in the case of ''[=MySims Party=]'').
* Used a lot in old Creator/CartoonNetwork bumpers, usually featuring the characters as AnimatedActors for the Cartoon Network Studios, working alongside live-action staff.
* ''WesternAnimation/ScoobyDoo'' makes a cameo in the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GwqzFSG60A 1982 promo]] for {{Creator/ABC}}.

* In addition to the above-mentioned tie in to ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsonsMovie'', Burger King would utilize this for their ''Anime/Pokemon2000'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3vPBavXfJU commercial]], a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTHeEL0d86E commercial]] featuring [[WesternAnimation/ScoobyDoo Shaggy and Scooby-Doo]], and for the Burger King Kids Club gang back in the 90s.
