While Scott, Virgil and Alan are dealing with a fire on an English mining site, a small boy named Chip sneaks aboard Thunderbird 2. Unsure of what to do with the boy, International Rescue give him a tour, which causes them to reflect on their exciting history. Finally, they realise that, if they let the boy fall asleep and then get him home before he wakes, they can pass it all off as a dream.

* AllJustADream, OrWasItADream: [[spoiler: Exploited by International Rescue as a means of retaining their secrecy. Chip falls asleep at Tracy Island, allowing the team to transport him back home -- when Chip wakes up in his own bed, he believes the whole experience was a dream.]]
* {{Badass}}: The only episode in which Jeff is seen holding a gun, and speaking through a megaphone with great authority, when the boys are ambushing Thunderbird 2 to corner the stowaway.
* ClipShow: With a twist. Since the International Rescue team all want to impress Chip, the clips are cut and edited to put spins on four previous episodes.[[note]]As well as to fit them within the fifty minute time-slot.[[/note]] For example, when Alan recalls the events of ''Sun Probe'', he neglects to mention how Thunderbird 3 got into a bit of a pickle after rescusing the titular space craft.
* ConstantlyCurious: Chip.
* GilliganCut: Chip is shown all the Thunderbird machines, against International Rescue's better judgment. When Chip excitedly says that the only one left is Thunderbird 4, Scott tells him unequivocally that this will not happen; and the very next moment, Chip is sitting inside Thunderbird 4.
--> '''Scott:''' You've seen too much already. And it's no good looking disappointed; the answer is no. Absolutely, definitely, no.
--> ''(Cut to Chip sitting inside Thunderbird 4, with Gordon by his side)''
* IKnowWhatWeCanDoCut: As Jeff hits on the idea of making Chip believe the whole thing is a dream, the action cuts to the plan being carried out as Jeff describes it, with dream-like music.
* LittleStowaway: Chip, who hides in the pod of Thunderbird 2, when it is left open.
* NotSoAboveItAll: Jeff constantly warns his sons not to give away to much information to Chip. In the end, he too gives in to the boy and proudly tells him how he leads each operation.
* RealLifeWritesThePlot: As the previous episodes, ''Attack of the Aligators'' and ''The Cham-Cham'', broke budget, they had to make the season's last episode a clip show to reduce costs.
* SayingTooMuch: Varies:
** PlayedForLaughs when Alan inexplicably reveals himself as the pilot of Thunderbird 3:
--->'''Alan Tracy:''' I'll tell you something, young fellow: you'll get nothing out of me about Thunderbird 3!
--->'''Chip Morrison:''' So ''you're'' the pilot of Thunderbird 3?
--->'''Alan Tracy:''' ''(feebly, realising his mistake, accompanied by LosingHorns)'' [[OhCrap Yeah. I'm the pilot of Thunderbird 3.]]
** Played straight when Virgil, Scott and Gordon innocently reveal stories connected to their respective craft.
