Go To

The turtles, Mighty Mutanimals, and April set out to stop Shredder and Krang's destruction.
----
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: When Kraang and Shredder inform them that they're to become their new partners, Bebop and Rocksteady are so excited they grab each others hands and squeal in delight, with big pink hearts in the background. But when they quickly find out that their plan is to destroy the world, they are understandably shocked and later pull a HeelFaceTurn.
* TheBusCameBack: Traag and Granitor return as part of Kraang's invasion force. This also doubles as a case of BackForTheFinale.
* CallBack: [[Recap/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles2012S5E15WantedBebopAndRocksteady Two episodes ago]], '87-Leonardo mentioned how Shredder and Kraang's motivations tend to flip-flop DependingOnTheWriter, their plans ranging from TakeOverTheWorld, [[EarthShatteringKaboom destroy the world]] or "whatever." Here, after claiming that they plan on conquering the 2012 Universe all this time, they declare that they intend on using the Technodrome to destroy it. [[EvenEvilHasStandards It's hearing this that leads to Bebop and Rocksteady sabotaging their plan]].
* CareerNotTaken: At the very end of the episode, the 87 turtles tell the Bebop and Rocksteady of their dimension that they don't have to be villains if they don't want to. Rocksteady admits that he's always wanted to be a personal-injury lawyer, while Bebop "just [wants to] dance."
* EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas: This is how Bebop persuades Rocksteady to rebel against Shredder and Kraang.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Bebop and Rocksteady like the world and thus don't like Shredder and Kraang's desire to destroy it.
* GrandFinale: The official series finale.
* HeelFaceTurn:
** Bebop and Rocksteady help the turtles and Mutanimals turn the tide of battle. They also give up on the super villian business and become super heroes, though if Bebop's rant is anything to go by, [[OnlyInItForTheMoney they're doing it for fame and luxury]].
** Once they're in their home dimension, the 80's turtles tell the 80's Bebop and Rocksteady that they don't have to obey Shredder and Kraang.
* HonorBeforeReason: While displeased with Shredder and Kraang's desire for world conquest/destruction, Rocksteady says they can't leave after they were made equal partners since he thinks it would make them lowly cowards.
* MythologyGag:
** Much like in ''WesternAnimation/TurtlesForever'', another cross-over between the contemporary and 1980's Turtles, Bebop and Rocksteady prove to be the villains' undoing, albeit under different circumstances.
** The episode shares the same title as [[Recap/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles1987S03E47TheBigBlowOut the third season finale]] of the original 1987 cartoon.
** Similarly, one of the common errors of the 1987 show was the wrong voice coming out of the wrong turtle, here, it's deliberately invoked by having '87-Raphael speak a line in '87-Michelangelo's voice during Shredder and Kraang's ambush.
* PetTheDog: Shredder and Kraang of all people get one, apologizing for treating Bebop and Rocksteady so badly, admitting they were just acting that way because the Bebop and Rocksteady of their universe were so useless. They even offer to make the mutants partners instead of henchmen. Too bad it's followed by them deciding to destroy the world.
** Likewise, when the '80's Turtles come back to their dimension with Shredder and Kraang in tow, they decide to take it easy with their Bebop and Rocksteady by suggesting to them that they don't have to be Shredder's lackeys and they should just be whatever they want to be.
