!!This episode provides examples of:
* BeTheBall: Kuchipatchi consumes a lot of burgers at the race's burger-making stand and becomes much fatter than usual as a result. Then he trips on a ramp and bounces on the tops of Tamagotchi Town's buildings, nearly falling to his doom until Mametchi notices and goes to save him.
* TheBigRace: The episode is about Mametchi participating in a race where all of the racers must complete events placed in certain parts along the way to keep going.
* ChekhovsGun: The giant pencils are used for a race challenge where the participants have to stack them as high as they can. Mametchi later asks Daikotchi if he can use them, and he gladly obliges, allowing Mametchi to help Kuchipatchi.
* DownerEnding: Technically. The other racers get distracted by Mametchi saving Kuchipatchi from bouncing all over town and don't see the Spacey Brothers cross the finish line, which can be considered a form of downer since they're the villains.
* EventTitle: The episode gets both its English name and its first half's Japanese name from the race on which its plot centers.
* FireballEyeballs: Mametchi does this when he notices the controller on the video game console being handed out as the race's winning prize resembles Gotchiman's Gotchi Beam weapon and wants to win it.
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: Lovelin asks the spectators watching the race to stay tuned, after which the episode goes into a commercial break.
* QuestioningTitle: The original Japanese title for the second half is "Heart-Pounding! Who Will Lovelin Smile Upon?".
* TemporaryBulkChange: After eating too many burgers at the burger-making stand for the race, Kuchpatchi has grown so fat that he trips and goes bouncing. Right as Mametchi saves him from having a rough fall, he returns to his normal size.
