The most generous interpretation is that she doesn't trust Anderson to share, as she does with Jon-El later, but Bizarro Anderson is her follower and should be of like mind, so it hardly works as an excuse.

This can partially be blamed on his Kryptonite addiction making him unbalanced, as he was warned it was a fool's errand by his mother yet tried anyway.
