9 | After a psychoanalyst connected to the Mills sisters mysteriously commits suicide, Ichabod and Abbie visit Abbie's sister Jenny at the psychiatric institution. When others commit suicide as well, the Witnesses learn that the source of the mysterious deaths is the Mohawk dream spirit Ro'kenhronteys, or the Sandman. By entering the dream world of this spirit, they are able to resolve the problem as well as confront their past guilt and atone for them. When Abbie goes to visit her sister a second time, she learns that Jenny has escaped. |
