1	Negotiations between the prisoners and Figueroa continue, cumulating in her asking for evidence that CO Humps is still alive. While Caputo assures her that Humps is fine, Suzanne finds him unresponsive in the medical bay and immediately tries to bring him to Taystee for advice, but Cindy and Watson are able to stop her before either Caputo or Figueroa can see the state that he's in. Gloria continues to help the guards escape and is almost caught by Ouija, who assumes Gloria is just being manipulated by them, and the Methheads debate about stealing CO Stratman's finger to replace the tip of Leanne's finger that she lost when she was accidentally shot by CO Coates.

3	Then the riot takes a dark turn as CO Piscatella finally has Red and her family tied up and gagged and completely at his mercy. He starts torturing Red by scalping her, so that everyone will see the frail old lady she truly is. Piper is able to work her gag free enough to scream for help, drawing the attention of Freida and the others who are hiding in the nearby bunker. Piscatella breaks Alex's arm when she tries to fight back, which is when Gina reveals herself and allows Freida and the others to knock Piscatella out with a combination of a blow dart to the neck and forcing him to trip over an extension cord.

5	The flashback focuses on Piscatella as a young CO at an all male prison, where he starts a relationship with one of the prisoners there.
