Elfo tries to find a way to get to Hell. Bean and Luci get to Hell. Zog finds out Merkimer survived the petrification.
----
In heaven, Elfo receives Bean's transmission, he realizes he needs to find a way to offend God in order to get to hell to meet her again. And through several attempts, he finally manages to do it by calling Jerry, whom God considered a new friend, a dum-dum.

Luci and Bean descend into Hell through the stairway, while bean fits in with the door guards, Luci is bullied relentlessly. They notice Elfo having been sent to hell, but in order to find where he is, they must use the Book of the Dead, locked away in a strange castle, the Infernal Stronghold.

Zøg, alone in the kingdom, finds Merkimer, and the two hit off out of loneliness. While they are resting the Bozaks attack, still mad about the death of their admiral by Merkimer. While the two hide, the invaders end up finding Merkimer and taking him to turn into lunch. Zøg gets his battle axe, and moved by the smell of bacon, finally fights the invaders.

Bean and Luci get to the Book of the Dead, only to be cornered by Asmodium. Luci turns on Bean, delivering her and Elfo to him and getting a promotion, which gives him wings. Both Bean and Elfo are dragged to their personal hell, where they relieve their worst moment over and over. It turns out that they're both locked together, being forced to watch the moment that Bean chose to bring back her mother instead of reviving a dead Elfo. The two have a fight that ends when Luci comes back, revealing his plan of making them suffer in order to get more power and be able to burst them out of Hell. Luci is able to just barely fly them away, when Asmodium finds them, he throws Elfo and Bean into a river of lava in order to get promoted again: this time bigger and more powerful, he is able to fly them off into the real world, but losing his powers and immortality in the process.

The trio rushes to find Elfo's corpse in order to put his soul back, and after a few scares, they manage to revive him.

In Heaven, Jerry is angry at God for letting Elfo resurrect and not him, proceeding God for not working, creating cancer, malaria, etc.

!!Tropes:
* ActorAllusion: When Zøg attacks, he yells for them to bite his shiny metal axe.
* AlienGeometries: Much of hell is like this, consisting of floating platforms and stairways that lead in odd directions and angles, making it very easy to get lost, especially when trying to reach the Infernal Fortress where the Book of the Dead is housed.
* BigRedDevil: Asmodium, Lord of Darkness is a typical one.
* CallBack: The Bozaks invade because of the death of their admiral, caused in Season one by Merkimer and Dreamland.
* CallingTheOldManOut: Jerry calls out God for letting Elfo get resurrected and not him - and also for all the bad things he has created like cancer or malaria.
* ContinuityNod: Bean meets Hansel and Gretel again in their personal hell (they are forced to re-watch their deaths over and over).
* CorruptChurch: When Bean and Luci search for Elfo's name in the Book of Dead, which contains the names of all people ever send to hell, Bean notices there are quite a few popes in it.
* DivineRaceLift: God here has brown skin and is voiced by Phil LaMarr.
* EvilIsPetty: Part of their torture in watching their worst memory over and over includes having popcorn just out of reach.
* FakeDefector: Luci pulls this twice:
** The first instance is when Asmodium catches Luci and Bean with the Book of the Dead. Luci seemingly sells Bean out for a promotion to a Level 2 demon. This is because a Level 2 demon has wings and is able to travel in and out of people’s personal hells, so this way he could get Bean and Elfo together in the same room and fly them out of hell without anybody else noticing.
** The second instance is when Luci drops Elfo and Bean into a river of lava to gain a Level 4 uber-demon promotion. This gives him enough strength, speed, and flying ability to catch Elfo and Bean before they get consumed by lava and fly them out of hell.
* FaustianRebellion: Luci twice uses the gifts he's given by Asmodium to betray him, even beating Asmodium up the second time.
* FireAndBrimstoneHell: Hell naturally looks like this.
* FluffyCloudHeaven: What heaven looks like in this show's universe.
* FriendOrIdolDecision: Elfo and Luci both give up their places in Heaven and Hell to rejoin Bean. Bean, in turn, decides to set things right by failing her earlier FriendOrIdolDecision by bringing Elfo back.
* HeroicSacrifice:
** Luci gives up his immortality and the Power-Ups he got during his FakeDefector gambits to save Bean and Luci from Hell.
--->Asmodium: Leave now and you lose your powers, your immortality, your parking space. Everything!\
Luci: That's a price I'm willing to pay!
** Elfo also gives up Heaven to reunite with Bean and will likely be damned when he dies again. Though it's later implied that God was just testing him.
* KickedOutOfHeaven: After waking up in Heaven, Elfo receives a message from Bean and Luci that he needs to go to Hell so they can bring him back to life. Initially, Elfo asks God to cast him to Hell, but He refuses since Elfo is far too good of a person. Then he tries being rude enough to get kicked out, but God easily sees through it... at least until Elfo makes a passing rude comment towards a severely mentally handicapped man, which gets him immediately and brutally thrown to Hell. Although, the ending of the episode reveals that this was God's plan all along.
* InMysteriousWays: God claims this when Jerry asks why he allowed Elfo to be revived.
* InternalReveal: Elfo, while in his personal Hell, learns that Bean could have brought him back to life, but chose to save her mother instead.
* Mooning: One of Elfo's attempts at getting God to send him to Hell is by mooning him. It doesn't work because Elfo finds that doing so replaces his butt with his own face.
* NoOSHACompliance: Bean complains about Hell having so many precarious stairways with no railings on them but Luci points out that since it’s Hell, that’s likely all on purpose, particularly with how easy it is to fall down the stairway to Hell.
* PokeThePoodle: God laughs off Elfo's lame attempts to be offensive, which are transparently insincere. To be fair, he also implies his good intention (wanting to help Bean) also prevents his actions from being irredeemable. When Elfo genuinely insults Jerry, God deems that a Hell-worthy offense, so Elfo thanks Him on the way down. Once again, it's later implied that God was just playing along.
* PortraitPaintingPeephole: Zøg cuts some eyeholes in a tapestry of himself and Merkimer but gets the alignment off.
* ShoutOut: The title of the episode is a reference to "Stairway to Heaven", by Led Zeppelin.
* ThrowTheDogABone: Sure, Jerry doesn't get to come back to life, but after the horrible life he had on earth (and the abuse he suffered under his siblings) getting to spend eternity in Heaven as God's personal favorite friend isn't so bad.
* WannabeLine: When Luci and Bean go to the gates of hell, the demon guards let Bean in without issue, but detain Luci at the gate for not having wings. Bean has to come back for him and convince the guards to let him in because he's her "emotional support demon".
