!!This episode contains examples of the following tropes:

* {{Animate Inanimate Object}}s: Weasel Lowman somehow built a machine that can transform Quackerware into his minions.
* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: When Darkwing threatens to blast Weasel, the reasons he lists are larceny, kidnapping, and [[BadBadActing doing a bad impression of Herb]].
-->'''Lowman:''' [[ITakeOffenseToThatLastOne I thought I was pretty good]].
* BerserkButton: Herb, of all characters, is shown to have one when facing off against evil salesman Weasel Loman.
-->'''Weasel''': Quackerware's a tenth rate product! It took me to realize its true potential!\
'''Herb''': You can disgrace yourself, and you can disgrace ''me'', Weasel. But when you start messin' with Quackerware, that's it for old Herb Muddlefoot! ''[[BringIt Come on]]''!
* ButHeSoundsHandsome: In the last scene, Darkwing doesn't miss the chance to call Drake Mallard a "good-looking cuss" when talking to Herb.
* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: When Herb and Loman, two rather large men, begin fighting, they stand in a circle and go at each other like sumo wrestlers.
-->'''Darkwing Duck:''' Looks like two beach balls with a grudge.
* ExactWords: When Darkwing tells Weasel to let Herb go, he obliges... by tossing him [[{{Hammerspace}} into a Quackerware]].
-->'''Darkwing:''' I meant, put him down ''safely!''
* FreezeRay: Gryzlikoff's surveillance van, disguised as an ice cream truck, packs a blaster than can freeze anything solid. Unfortunately, when Darkwing tries to zap Weasel's van, he misses and hits the street, [[FrictionlessIce causing Gryzlikoff's truck to spin out of control]].
* GoldMakesEverythingShiny: As a part of his plan, Loman paints his second batch of Quackerware gold to sell them to mansions.
* HumbleHero: Herb has won the prize as "Salesman of The Year" and "Salesman of The Decade", are beloved by the housewives, even Darkwing and Launchpad are impressed, but Herb bashfully waves it off as it is nothing as long as his customers are happy.
* InspectorJavert: When Darkwing is reluctant to investigate Herb, J. Gander assigns Gryzlikoff to the case, who intends to go after him with guns blazing. To protect Herb and find out who the real culprit is, Darkwing has to join him on his sales route under the pretense that he wants to be a Quackerware salesman.
* LatexPerfection: Loman has an impressive mask that looks exactly like Herb that he uses as a disguise. Thanks to having a similar build to Herb, he can look like his doppelganger.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: J. Gander is taken aback when Darkwing Duck, who normally jumps at any chance to take down a villain, bluntly refuses to take the case implicating Herb.
* PokemonSpeak: The only thing the living Quackerware can say is "Sir!", likely referring to their master, Weasel Lowman.
* PopCulturePunEpisodeTitle: A reference of ''Theatre/TheMerchantOfVenice''.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Seeing that Drake really is trying as good as he can to be a salesman despite failing, Herb is willing to give him a chance, even tell Drake to ask him for help if he gets stuck.
* SeriousBusiness: Herb really takes his Quackerware selling seriously, so much that he's ticked off when he finds out that Weasel has been turning it into living robotic thieves.
* ShoutOut: The villain is named [[Theatre/DeathOfASalesman Weasel Loman]]. He also has a UsefulNotes/RichardNixon-like voice.
