A special hero helps Lakewood Plaza Turbo save the planet.
----
!!Tropes:
* AffectionateParody: The episode lampoons the [[GenericDoomsdayVillain often simpleminded]] villains from the original ''Captain Planet'' cartoons and the overt GreenAesop nature of the series, but the latter message is still presented fairly sincerely, and the end of the episode still takes the time to provide real tips to help the environment.
* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: When Dr. Blight says she's proud of how much Boxmore pollutes, we see a montage of Jethro slipping on oil and spilling his own, Ernesto ignoring a leaking nuclear waste pipe (that melts his upper half), and Darrell leaving a sink running after [[RidiculouslyHumanRobot brushing his teeth]].
* ArtShift:
** Captain Planet, Kwame and Dr. Blight have been retrofitted to the show's art style.
** The opposite happens at the end, where the characters are all drawn in the original Captain Planet art style.
** A minor one occurs with Captain Planet's introduction as a ShoutOut to ''Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure''.
* BittersweetEnding: While Dr. Blight is defeated and the plaza gets cleaned up, the effects of Blight and Boxman's polluting have permanently affected the rest of the world. [[MoodWhiplash Then Captain Planet and the Lakewood Heroes give a Planeteer Alert.]]
* TheCameo: The rest of the Planeteers and Gaia make non-speaking appearances in the Planeteer Alert at the end of the episode.
* ComicBookTime: In the twenty years since ''Captain Planet and the Planeteers'' ended, an unspecified number of years have passed for the characters, but Dr. Blight, Kwame, and (in the Planeteer Alert segment) the other Planeteers look the same age.
* {{Crossover}}: [[WesternAnimation/CaptainPlanetAndThePlaneteers Captain Planet]] and Kwame visit the plaza, while Dr. Blight visits Boxmore.
* EcocidalAntagonist: [[DiscussedTrope Discussed]]. Dr. Blight comes to Boxmore to pollute the area around Lakewood Plaza Turbo. She notes that her ultimate end goal is simply to pollute the planet until it dies. Boxman points out that, since [=THEY=] live on Earth, [[DidntThinkThisThrough her plan will lead to their own deaths as well]]. Dr. Blight just states she doesn't care and continues on.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: DownplayedTrope for Boxman. While he may have a point about Dr. Blight's plan on destroying the planet to make no sense as both of them would perish with the Earth, Boxman's crush on her caused him to blindly follow her.
* FullyAbsorbedFinale: We're told the ultimate fate of the original Planeteers: [[HappyEndingOverride They disbanded.]]
* GenericDoomsdayVillain: Dr. Blight takes her singleminded goals of pollution from the original series to the point of parody; she wants to pollute the world and render it uninhabitable. Boxman, himself not very good with making choices, notes that this would kill them as well. Blight just kind of looks at him for a moment, notes she doesn't care, and continues with her plan.
* GreenAesop: Where Captain Planet goes, one of these is guaranteed to follow.
* HappyEndingOverride: Years after ''Captain Planet and the Planeteers'' ended, Kwame is the only one still on the team, as the others (Wheeler, Linka, Gi, and Ma-Ti) [[WeAreStrugglingTogether got sick of fighting with each other]] and left to get "real jobs".
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: K.O.'s heart ring creates a CareBearStare that gets the team to stop fighting and work together to clean the plaza.
* MissingStepsPlan: Dr. Blight insists polluting the Earth will make Boxmore loads of money, but gives no reason at all why.
* MoodWhiplash: The end of the episode abruptly goes from Captain Planet solemnly explaining to K.O. that cleaning the environment and fighting climate change has only gotten harder over the years, to the cheerful and optimistic "Planeteer Alert".
* MythologyGag:
** Captain Planet's introduction recreates at least two of the shots from the opening of his home series, from the morphing of different colors and elements, to him flying over water.
** During the "Planeteer Alert", Brandon's ExpressiveShirt says "I Heart [[Creator/HannaBarbera H-B]] and [[Creator/DiCEntertainment DIC]]"- those being the companies that produced the original show ([=DiC=] and then Hanna-Barbera in 1993, after UsefulNotes/TedTurner had purchased them).
* NoodleIncident: Kwame mentions that the fighting that Rad, Enid, ARMS, and Brandon get caught up in reminds him of a similar occurrence that caused the original Planeteers to disband.
* StupidEvil: When Blight mentions how the pollution they emit would wipe out all life on Earth, Boxman interjects, saying that it would wipe ''them'' out too. Blight doesn't seem to care in the slightest, and Boxman goes along because he thinks it'll give him a shot at wooing her.
* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: While Captain Planet and the main characters managed to clean up the plaza, NoOntologicalInertia is averted as Dr. Blight's actions still have lingering consequences (flooded areas, smogs, and climate change) on the surrounding area despite their best efforts.
* TakeThat:
** At one point, Dr. Blight notes that her plan will go off without a hitch because "nobody believes [climate change is] real".
** The disbandment of Planeteers might also reflect with a common critique on the show's pro-social message that tend to promote obedience to the group while treating [[TheComplainerIsAlwaysWrong anyone who complains as an obstacle]]--Wheeler being the only one--being detrimental to team-building exercise for the audience since group-cohesion maintenance also required accountability and compromise of individuals' personality along with conflict resolutions on in-fighting rather than solely based on group-loyalty.
* TheVamp: Dr. Blight uses her looks to her advantage when negotiating with Boxman, who's practically putty in her hands.
