!!Tropes:
* AwkwardStoplightMoment: After the gang, who are driving Madame Foster's car, catches Mac who was going through a crazy sugar rush, they stop at a stoplight just as Frankie and Madame Foster stops next to them. When Frankie glances at them, the gang quickly disguise themselves just before she looks at them again. Eduardo, who had to ride a tricycle because he couldn't fit inside Madame Foster's car, rides by Frankie and greets her until he realizes she wasn't supposed to know he and the others left the house.
* BaitAndSwitch:
** During the party, Coco seems to have the eyes for another bird imaginary friend. The two seem to lock eyes and step forward to meet...only for Coco to rush past him, having instead fallen head over heels for a ''[[CloudCuckoolander lamp]]''.
** After a while going out on a snipe hunt looking for a "running refrigerator", he seemingly gets wise and furiously returns to the house. It looks like he's scolding Bloo at first, but it turns out he's scolding an actual refrigerator imaginary friend who Herriman remembered ran about town constantly. This still ironically lets him discover what Bloo has been doing after a naked Mac runs out the door.
* ChewOutFakeOut: Madame Foster returns to find a wild party in her house and angrily confronts Mr. Herriman.
-->'''Madame Foster:''' I told you explicitly, implicitly and unequivocally, [[PunctuatedForEmphasis No! Wild! Parties!]] [{{beat}}] [[ExactWords Without ME!]] You know how much I ''love'' wild parties!
* DanceOff: Between Wilt and Dancey Pantalones over who's the best dancer in the house. Wilt wins [[AccidentalDanceCraze when he slips on some marbles]].
* GoneHorriblyRight: Bloo wanted Mac to eat something with sugar in it so he'd loosen up and just enjoy the party. It worked; a bit ''too'' well, as Mac quickly proves to be the most destructive one at the party while hyped up on sugar.
* IAteWhat: Bloo lures Mac out of an alley and into a car with a piece of gum, but when Mac eats it, he reacts badly.
-->'''Mac:''' You said it was sugar!\
'''Bloo:''' Right, sugar... sugar-''free''.
* HugeRiderTinyMount: Since Frankie and Madame Foster have taken the bus, Bloo takes Madame Foster's car so he, Wilt, Coco, and Mr. Herriman can track down a sugar-crazed Mac. Unfortunately, there's no room for Eduardo in the car, so he follows them on his tricycle, which is much smaller than him.
* InevitablyBrokenRule: As soon as Madame Foster tells Mr. Herriman not to throw wild parties, Bloo resolves to throw a wild party.
* JerkassHasAPoint:
** The noise from the party interrupts Duchess' sleep, and Duchess plans to rat Bloo out and get him expelled from Foster's because Bloo threw the party after Madame Foster warned him not to. Even Mac had to side with Duchess in this situation.
** Bloo may have broken his own word to not throw a party, but Bloo is correct in that Herriman is the one who will take the brunt of the responsibility, since Herriman had promised Madame Foster to keep a wild party from being thrown and failed miserably, having let himself be tricked by the old "running refrigerator" prank call and being absent from the house for the majority of the episode while the party was going down. Herriman nearly faints in shock [[OhCrap when he realizes Bloo is right]].
--> '''Bloo:''' ''You'' gave Madame Foster ''your'' word. You gave her your word that you'll be able to handle the house on your own. You gave her your word that everything would be in perfect order upon her return. ''Your'' word that there would be ''no'' wild parties, ''Mr. Herriman.'' '''Your word!''' And me keeping my word is clearly depended on you keeping your word, which you clearly couldn't keep.
--> '''Mr. Herriman:''' Your point?
--> '''Bloo:''' The house is in shambles, everyone's favorite 8-year old is off tearing through the town in his birthday suit, and you're gonna have to explain to sweet old Madame Foster how it all happened on ''your'' watch.
* KnowWhenToFoldEm: Dancey Pantalones forfeits after seeing the wild moves Wilt is making while slipping on marbles thinking they're real dance moves, saying "Alright, alright, you win! I know when I'm beat!"
* LaughingMad: Mac gets hysterical when hyped up on sugar, cackling and laughing near constantly.
* LiteralMetaphor: When dancing off with Dancey Pantalones, Eduardo asks Wilt if he's lost his marbles. Wilt proceeds to pull out a jar full of marbles saying he hasn't. Later, after Mac knocks the jar of marbles out of Eduardo's hands he exclaims: "Ay! I lost my marbles!"
* MotorMouth: Mac becomes nearly incomprehensible at times the more hyped up on sugar he gets.
* NakedPeopleAreFunny: At the height of his sugar high, Mac strips off his clothes and runs out into the night.
* NoYou: This exchange happens while Mac is obsessed with getting some chocolates Duchess had attempted to use to bribe Mac into calling Madame Foster.
-->'''Mac:''' (hysterical) GIVE ME MY CHOCOLATE!\
'''Bloo:''' Maybe the other friends are right. Maybe you ''are'' ruining this party.\
'''Mac:''' (shrieking) MAYBE ''YOU'' RUIN CHOCOLATE!\
'''Bloo:''' You're right, maybe I ''do'' ruin chocolate. Be that as it may, you're not getting any more.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: ''Hoooooooooooly cow'', Mac!
* PrankCall: Coco gets Herriman out of the house with the old "Is your refrigerator running?" gag, which Herriman actually falls for and runs off to find said refrigerator. He still falls for it despite the fact that [[PokemonSpeak Coco is only able to say her name]], something [[LampshadeHanging Bloo rightfully points out]].
* RealAfterAll: Turns out there ''was'' a refrigerator running (actually an imaginary friend shaped like one), which Herriman actually catches and brings back to the home.
* ShoutOut:
** Dancey Pantalones is described as the best dancer at Foster's "...with the worst reputation", a line taken from ''Film/{{Grease}}''.
** When cornered in an alley, Mac talks and behaves like [[Literature/LordOfTheRings Gollum]].
--->'''Mac:''' Sugar! Precious sugar! [takes bite of sugar-free gum] It burns us! It burns us!
* ShoutOutToShakespeare: The title is a pun on "Parting is such sweet sorrow" from ''Theatre/RomeoAndJuliet''.
* SodaCandySplosion: Mac accidentally tastes a tiny droplet of punch and experiences a massive sugar rush, causing mayhem around the room. He then consumes soda and Pop Rocks, and while he [[DownplayedTrope doesn't outright explode]], he goes into hyperdrive, [[NakedPeopleAreFunny stripping naked]] and causing more chaos through the halls and all over town.
* TooDumbToLive: After Mac accidentally causes a punch bowl to get flung into the air, he managed to avoid most of the spill. But, when he saw ''[[CherryTapping a single drop]]'' flying towards him, his immediate response... was to scream, allowing the drop to hit his tongue, giving him a hit.
* TwoScenesOneDialogue: When Mr. Herriman makes Bloo promise not to throw a wild party.
-->'''Bloo:''' You have my word... [[[GilliganCut cut to him talking to the other friends]]] …that this will be the wildest, partiest, housiest house party this house has ever partied!
** After Mac goes beserk from eating Duchess' gourmet chocolates:
--->'''Bloo:''' (running after Mac) MAC! YOU'VE GOTTA CALM DOWN! YOU'VE GOTTA CALM--\
'''DJ imaginary friend:''' --down on the dance floor! Everybody come down on the dance floor!
* WaxingLyrical: Mac shouting "Pour some sugar on Mac!" references the Music/DefLeppard song "Pour Some Sugar On Me".
* WildTeenParty: Bloo throws a wild party at the home just because Foster's warning not to have one put the idea into his head.
