He quickly rose through the ecclesial ranks and eventually became a bishop, as well as being tasked with various matters of importance to the church. When three forbidden tomes were stolen from the Papal Library, James was sent by the Vatican to track them down. He managed to follow the trail of one, the Émigré Manuscript, to Nemeton Monastery. There, he reluctantly teamed up with Koudelka Iasant and Edward J. Plunkett in order to investigate the events happening there. Ultimately, [[spoiler:James sacrificed himself during the group's battle against the resurrected monster Elaine and managed to reunite her monstrous body with her soul. In a sudden twist, a second figure came by and reverted his words back to the Demon King, who also showed himself to be the ''actual'' Oda Nobunaga, who wanted to thank William for at least showing him that he isn't as evil as he always was shown. This confrontation lead to believe that both Nobunagas knew William before he could show them their spirit animal. |

They're eventually reinforced by a few more paratroopers, with the arrival of Maj. Dick Winters and Capt. Ronald Speirs accompanied by Cpl. Boyd Travers and Sgt. Jack Barnes. Winters' first action upon arrival to the French town is to order the road bridge destroyed immediately, to which Ryan immediately agrees given what almost happened the last time the bridge stayed up. Speirs then helps the two Recon squads set up defensive positions in the town, as well as leading a few patrols on the outskirts in case the Germans find the place. |

With all said and done and Ramelle firmly in American hands, Charlie Company decide to set up their permanent HQ inside of the town as their Temple, having nowhere else to go now that their current mission has been more or less completed. Ryan ends up erecting replica gravestones of the squad members who had been killed in action during the events of their story, so that other deities could find out the story behind and reason for their ascension. |
