4	* Yubel's event replaced the music with a low, melancholy string and piano piece, and the sky turns purple, complete with a GiantEyeOfDoom looming over the skyline. [[OurZombiesAreDifferent Duel Ghouls]] of standards duelists appear, with distorted smiles and deck names depicting their HorrorHunger.
5	* The English dub of ''Anime/YuGiOhTheDarkSideOfDimensions'' downplayed the sexual harassment element of Scud/Kudaragi filming his bullying of Aigami by omitting his comments calling him cute. The English version of ''Duel Links'' dives right back into that territory with Tag Duel Tournament X, where Scud’s reluctant partner is the NPC Nick (who is a [[HarmfulToMinors child]]), and not only is Nick clearly uncomfortable with who he has to team up with, the name of their Deck pair is "[[NotSafeForWork NSFW]]: [[CrossesTheLineTwice The Most Terrifying Stream Ever]].”
6	** Also, note the set of lines that can be triggered whenever Aigami beats Scud in a Duel. Scud can sport an absolutely terrified expression before the time he is ''erased'' from reality. Also bear in mind that Scud's conditions for unlocking him is to '''banish''' opponent cards.

9	* Everything regarding the Supreme King's arrival into the world of ''Duel Links''. It's clear the events of Season 3 are still a major TraumaButton for a lot of the GX cast, and now they get to relive that nightmare all over again. Several characters who didn't get to witness just how terrifying Jaden was during his absolute lowest point now do, and they're both shocked and saddened upon seeing that side of him.
10	** His dialogue is even more malicious and imposing than before thanks to VocalEvolution, particularly in the Japanese audio track. Creator/{{KENN}} is clearly channeling [[Manga/HunterXHunter Phinks]] and [[LargeHam roars at the top of his lungs]] whenever the Supreme King activates a skill or uses Super Polymerization, as if he were a frenzied BloodKnight on a killing spree.
11	* To add fuel to the fire, Jaden's not the only Supreme King that Duel Links has to worry about. Z-Arc has been casting a massive shadow for the Arc-V Cast the moment they arrived in Duel Links. And each event appears to show him one step closer from returning if Declan's predictions are true.
12	* Varis[=/=]Revolver's arrival into ''Duel Links'' presents him as just as serious a threat as he was in Season 1, with all the experiences he's gained from the later seasons of VRAINS. He makes it very clear that he still believes the Ignis are a threat, and fully intends to kill them all, declaring no one will stand in his way.
13	* Episode 5 of Ghost Gal's unlock event has her, Playmaker, Soulburner, Varis, and Blue Angel go into the deepest part of Duel Links itself, and the whole thing is framed as though they're gazing into the proverbial abyss, with it gazing back at them at the very end.
14	* It's clear that Shay/Shun is still traumatized over what occured at the Xyz Dimension with the mass genocide, even after seeing the revived Yuto and knowing the possibility of his sister's revival. Unlike the others in Dennis' unlock event where they let bygones be bygones, he refuses to accept Dennis' apologies for his background work as a Fusion soldier nor will he allow Dennis to aid in Lulu/Ruri's revival. But whether or not has he truly forgiven Dennis is still unknown.
