At this point Sam Vimes is lost in the dark just as 6:00 pm rolls around and is having a HeroicBSOD at not being able to read to Young Sam. They find him lurching out of the dark and roaring "WHERE IS MY COW" at the top of his lungs. This abomination as far as they're concerned starts killing their heavily armed and armoured bodyguards, all the while screaming what is to them complete nonsense. Eventually it has killed everyone but the unarmed Grags, is covered in blood, and only stops from killing them through sheer willpower. It is then tackled by a werewolf. |

Then he drew a curse in his own blood and sat down to wait for death, with the vurms slowly approaching. Meanwhile Helmclever was on the other side of the door, too afraid to open it and wishing the other dwarf would die quicker. |
| 7 | * Helmclever's death, if only for how quickly and quietly it happens. One second, he's alive, and then Vimes accidentally knocks over the candles. A few seconds of darkness later, he's dead, and the Thud pieces on the board have formed the shape of the Summoning Dark. All because Vimes lost his temper at Colon. And while he certainly didn't touch Helmclever, he didn't touch the dwarf that went after Sam, either... |
