Make Them Suffer is an Australian Deathcore band that features elements of SymphonicMetal, ProgressiveMetal, and regular Metalcore. In fact, some regard them as the line between deathcore and metalcore. They formed in 2008, but didn't become a major player until the '10s where they were signed to Rise Records. While they're not an outright massive name in deathcore, they've gained an increasingly large worldwide following over the years. 2016 marked their very first headlining U.S. tour.

Also, they are not named after the Music/CannibalCorpse song of the same name. It was just something they made up on the spot.

After going through several lineup changes, the roster came to be as follows:

* ChronicallyCrashedCar: Multiple vans, actually, but according to CJ McMahon, they have an uncanny knack for getting into accidents (up to the point where, after getting into one, they left the rental lot and got into another accident right as they pulled out onto the road with said rental). He even joked that Thy Art Is Murder now refuses to tour with them because they regard them as bad luck omens.
* ClusterFBomb: Sean swears all the time.
* Deathcore
* GenreMashup: They're a progressive symphonic deathcore band with regular metalcore elements as of 2015.
* HarshVocals: Sean is always doing this. Early material had him death growling, but now he primarily screams.
** Their current keyboardist Alex mostly sings, but is very capable of delivering these herself unlike her predecessors.
* IndecipherableLyrics: It's almost impossible to tell what Sean is saying most of the time.
* LighterAndSofter: Their later material isn't quite as hard as their earlier work, the reasons being explained below. That said, they're still brutal by mainstream standards.
* RevolvingDoorBand: ZigZaggingTrope. They've actually managed to keep a fairly stable lineup, especially compared to other death-influenced bands. Two of the seven founding members are still around. That said, they can't seem to hold on to a rhythm guitarist. They're also on their fourth keyboardist.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Alex is the sole female member of the band. The people she succeeded counted during their respective tenures, too.
* SopranoAndGravel: Sean as the gravel and Alex (following Heather, Louisa and Booka in that order) as the soprano in their later material. Again, Alex can supply the gravel, as well
* VocalTagTeam: Their early material had Sean doing all the vocals, but the addition of Louisa saw this aspect with her doing clean singing. Sean is still the most prominent vocalist, however.
