'''WARNING:''' Spoilers are unmarked.
----
* After Fred notices Daphne offhandedly tell another talk show host about how much she misses the rest of Mystery Inc., Fred proceeds to telephone each former member to help surprise Daphne. Scooby, Shaggy, and Velma each accept their invitations as quickly as possible. The resultant sight of the complete gang happily reunited in preparation for another spooky adventure gets capped off with Fred revealing that he even brought The Mystery Machine out of storage to help them on their journey. This shows how much Fred cares, how strong a friendship Scooby and the others have, and how Fred's personality has much more depth to it here than the original show.
* After the battle's over and all the trapped souls are free to leave, one Confederate soldier lingers long enough to salute Scooby and thank him personally.
-->'''Jackson Pettigrew:''' ''(salutes)'' Thank y'all.
** The fact that the zombies were only chasing the group in a desperate attempt to warn them and save others from suffering the same fate is both this and a massive TearJerker.
** Once the adventure is over, as shown by the numerous movies that come later, the gang ''stayed together''.
* When Lena and Simone have transformed, Jacques, their co-conspirator, gets attacked by zombies. Lena is worried and wants to help him, but Simone refuses. [[EvenEvilHasLovedOnes They may be evil, but it seems like Lena grew to genuinely like Jacques as a companion]] (unlike Simone). Lena in general seems very protective of Simone.
* TheStinger where Scooby makes peace with Simone's cats by giving them milk.
* For a very brief instance when [[ThrowTheDogABone Snake finally catches Big Mona]]... only for an airborne Scooby to distract them long enough for Big Mona to slip away.
* During "It's Terror Time Again," when Scooby is stuck, a zombie hands Shaggy a vine so to help him out. PlayedForLaughs when Shaggy freaks out, but [[{{Foreshadowing}} a key clue]] that they aren't as evil as they seem.
* Even for how grumpy, curmudgeonly, and tourist-hating he is, Snakebite Scruggs [[EveryoneHasStandards is still above ]] letting a dumb tourist (and his dumb dog) get eaten by alligators on his watch.
* When they're at Simone and Lena's mercy with no way of escape, Velma apologizes for suspecting Beau.
--> '''Beau:''' Apology accepted.
** Earlier, Velma also apologized to Beau when Shaggy and Scooby were messing around with the voodoo dolls and unintentionally caused her to hit Beau.
* Beau has a rather introspective take on surviving a zombie and werecat attack. Daphne laments that they have no proof about what really happened, thanks to quicksand swallowing Fred's camera. Beau then reveals he is an undercover cop, sent to investigate Lena and Simone because they were the most likely suspects for a round of disappearances. He tells Daphne that even if no one believes them, at least they're alive to tell the tale, and he plans to write his report anyway. Velma starts warming up to Beau more, realizing that he was being a jerk because he was scared that the gang would die on his watch. Daphne invites him to talk on her show about the experience.
-->'''Daphne:''' I can't believe all this. And without our video tape, no one else will, either. I got nothing for my show! \
'''Velma:''' Yeah, and the police will never believe this story either. \
'''Beau:''' Don't be so sure. I'm Detective Beau Neville. Been working undercover investigating the island disappearances. \
'''Velma:''' Jinkies! So ''that's'' why you were digging around! \
'''Beau:''' Yes, ma'am. Just trying to dig up evidence.
* Beau is actually Detective Beau Neville and revealed to be an EndearinglyDorky NiceGuy. The {{Jerkass}} persona was all an act. He even admits to Velma that he'd like to write mysteries someday.
-->'''Beau:''' The bayou casts a spell all its own. And no matter how hard you try to solve its mysteries it always keeps something hidden. \
'''Velma:''' Aw, that was beautiful, Detective Neville. There's a bit of a poet in you. \
'''Beau:''' [''chuckles''] I don't know about that, ma'am. But I would like to write detective stories someday. \
'''Velma:''' Jinkies! I've always been crazy about a good detective story, that is. I even own my own mystery bookstore. \
'''Beau:''' No kidding.
* Scooby and Shaggy are joined at the hip, to the point that when "the dog" is sent to eat in the kitchen and later outside, Shaggy follows both times. This is not even brought up in the dialogue - he just assumes, automatically, that Scooby = Shaggy and vice versa, and it's wonderful.
* In the years since the movie's release, "It's Terror Time Again" has become an iconic Halloween classic. It has become a Halloween tradition for [=YouTube=]rs to create music videos with the song playing as spooky clips from various (mostly animated) movies and tv shows appear.
