* In a promotional for ''Film/ManOfSteel'', the main cast (Creator/HenryCavill, Creator/AmyAdams and Creator/RussellCrowe) appeared together, and the conversation veered towards the unlikely story of Russell filming in a school Henry was playing rugby for--and how Russell [[TheMentor practically inspired]] Henry to take up acting--[[HeartwarmingInHindsight not knowing that they would later]] play in a film together as father and son. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g0X2eIoJio The story is worth seeing in its entirety]].
* One Red Chair story was from a woman who recalled that, ten years prior, she had been waiting with her family in Dublin International Airport. They recognized one of that night's guests, Creator/AnneHathaway, and upon approaching her, [[NiceGirl she happily chatted with them about their vacation and took pictures]]. Also becomes funny when the girl's mom starting sobbing uncontrollably until they boarded the plane about how nice Anne was to them. Anne was touched by the story; Graham let the girl walk. During the story, she could also be heard saying "it's so nice to see you again."
* In episode 16 of Season 20, Music/EdSheeran, after finding out that the man on the Red Chair was actually his childhood best friend, was adamant on bringing him to the couch and catching up with him. It becomes more heartwarming since he had just played his wistfully-nostalgic single "Castle on the Hill" -- which was about his childhood friends.
* Graham was the recipient of the 2017 NTA Special Recognition Award. The usually [[DeadpanSnarker highly snarky]] Graham was taken aback for once, and a bunch of previous guests (Creator/WillSmith, Dame Creator/JudiDench, Dame Creator/HelenMirren, and, sans [[MemeticMutation red lips and wooly jumper]], Hugh Bonneville) were on hand to pay tribute to him.
* Creator/RyanGosling relates how his mother went to an awards show with a giant beehive hairdo, having been convinced all the big stars would have them. After seeing how embarrassed she was, Gosling got Creator/MerylStreep to tell her "I wish I had hair like yours." It then crosses into funny as Graham points out he's just ruined that experience for her.
* A 66 year old Meryl Streep relates a story from when she was 40, to which Mark Ruffalo very smoothly acts like it was just five years ago. Streep promptly kisses him on the lips, to which he's adorably befuddled.
* After Music/GaryBarlow of Music/{{Take That|Band}} [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RU7URkSVdrw talked about his battle with depression]] after the band broke up, a very moved Creator/JamieLeeCurtis leaned over and hugged him. [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments As did]] Creator/JeffGoldblum.
* A Red Chair guest was the husband of a woman in the audience. She was pregnant and they had initially wanted to be surprised at the sex of the baby - but the husband had chosen the Red Chair as a special occasion to reveal it. [[spoiler: A girl]].
* Creator/JohnKrasinski tearing up talking about what a great experience it was to work with [[RealLifeRelative real life wife]] Creator/EmilyBlunt on ''Film/AQuietPlace'' and how in awe of her he is.
* Sir Creator/IanMcKellen got audibly emotional as he recounted how Creator/HughJackman surprised him for his 80th birthday by leading the entire 30,000-strong audience at a show of his in singing "Happy Birthday" to him.
** In a related example, Graham surprised Hugh and Creator/PatrickStewart by getting Ian to drop by for the remainder of their episode. They're both thrilled to see him. Patrick even looks like he's tearing up!
* Creator/JessicaBiel's second appearance on the show in comparison to her first; getting harassed by a very drunk Mickey Rourke, and admitting "I was internally crapping myself". On her second, she got on so well with James Corden and Sarah Millican [[OddFriendship of all people]] - enthusiastically sharing funny stories together and playfully encouraging James to hit on her.
