* Wait... How are the New Kid's parents alive and well? Weren't they in Dr. Mephesto's lab being harvested?
** Traveling back in time created an alternate timeline, as indicated by the New Kid's Coonstagram feed.
*** Yeah, but why aren't the New Kid's parents being harvested in the alternate timeline?
*** One possibility is that, during the events of [[spoiler:the time travel]], the New Kid's parents quit their addictions, which could lead to a butterfly effect of sorts.
** It's incredibly confusing what did or did not actually happen in the final timeline.
* Putting this in here since the question arises from the game, even though it has implications for the order of continuity, made more confusing because of the show's [[NotAllowedtoGrowUp rolling continuity]]. [[spoiler:Terrance Mephesto died in the Season 1 episode "Mecha-Streisand." How is it he's alive in later episodes in the series? As late as "Oh Jeez" from Season 20? No one worked on any way to resurrect him, not even from Dr. Mephesto, who only wanted to add more asses to his son's corpse.]]
** DeathIsCheap in the series, not just for Kenny, who had it more obvious.
** Alternatively, maybe [[spoiler:Dr. Mephesto did bring him back a few times and what we see were his clones,]] but he eventually gave up and decided to just let his son rest in peace.
* Ok, so in ''VideoGame/SouthParkTheStickOfTruth'', the South Park Mall was completely intact. Why is it still being built in this game? Come to think of it, how did the Canadian Border Wall get built in a day? And how is there a "cissy" bathroom in the playground now? All this in a day between SOT and FBW?
** It seems that the kids play "Fighters of Zaron" occasionally, with Stick of Truth being an example of one session. This is supported by [[spoiler:Past-Kyle]] saying that they "stopped playing superheroes five days ago" which implies that there's a number of different games they play from time to time.
** True, but it's implied that the game that starts the... well... game is actually Stick of Truth. [[spoiler: such as when you go back in time at the end of the game and Wendy remarks that she finally gets to play Stick of Truth.]] So, wouldn't that imply that FBW happens not long after SOT? At any rate, how basically everyone treats you in this game suggests that you're still relatively new to South Park, but the mall that was completely intact in SOT was half-demolished in a (seemingly) short period of time.
** In an episode called "Unfulfilled", the mall is practically a wasteland. Even if we ignore the events of that episode, it isn't like South Park or anybody in reality goes to a mall anyway.
* How is it that FBW takes place just 1 day after SOT? Everything's changed so much ever since the events of SOT, such as the Canadian Wall, PC Principal is there instead of Principal Victoria, Mr. Garrison is nowhere to be found, etc. Shouldn't it have taken place, like, 2 or 3 months after SOT?
** It's implied, but it's never actually stated in-game that [=FBW=] takes place the day after [=SoT=]. The kids seem to recycle games often, since they say at one point "we were playing superheroes 5 days ago!" So it's entirely possible it does happen months after the previous game, and it just so happened that the day before this game wasn't [=SoT=] but just another time the kids were playing medieval.
* So Professor Chaos was given 20,000 dollars by Mitch Connor to destroy the town, but where did Connor even get that money from? He's nothing but a hand puppet on the hand of the second poorest child in town. Sure he becomes mayor, but that's not until more than a week after Chaos states Connor gave him the money.
** Cartman probably had it on hand from selling drugs cut with cat urine. It sounded like he tampered with several different kinds of substances, including alcohol, which means bigger profit margins because he could appeal to addicts across the board and get them hooked on a really powerful high without spending extra money. Cat piss is free, after all.
* So when exactly does the New Kid backstory take place? The narrative makes it seem like it was years ago when the New Kid was a little kid, but then when [[spoiler:you use a timefart to summon Backstory You as a combat ally]], the New Kid and the backstory New Kid have the same hair and face and are the same height, suggesting they're the same or very similar ages.
* If Kyle's Mitch Conner wasn't real, then how did he do such a believable impression of Mitch's voice and do so without moving his mouth?
* If Timmy doesn't really have telepathy, then how can other characters hear and respond to what he says telepathically? This stands out because while other powers could be explained by everyone simply pretending that it works (ex. battle attacks) or the New Kid's farts having fantastical power (buddy commands), telepathy cannot. The other characters could just be making up what they "receive" from him in some cases, but what about when he telepathically says "No, Mysterion, we won't fight them, they will" and the Freedom Pals stay still, while Coon and Friends are hypnotized? How would they know to do that if they didn't really hear those words? (Not to mention, how can anyone tell the difference between telepathy and hypnosis when he points at his head for both?) And if his telepathy is indeed legitimate, then, why would he only use it as Doctor Timothy?
** It's minorly implied that somehow, the kids really ''do'' have powers. All enemies take damage from their attacks, namely drunks, hobos, the raisins girls, city ninjas, demon critters, and Cartman. None of those people have a reason to play along and hate the children.
** As the ''[[Recap/SouthParkImaginationland Imaginationland]]'' episodes show, in the South Park universe it is possible for something people imagine to become real. The South Park universe in general might work on ClapYourHandsIfYouBelieve down to an individual level. In short, the kids [=LARPing=] believe their powers work, so their powers work.
** Considering this game reveals the entire town is built over the resting place of an ELDRITCH GOD, it's not too far of a stretch to consider that every resident born there has some form of reality warping ability, but it's filtered through their imaginations.
* So how are the Woodland Critters real? They were characters in a story Cartman wrote, yet they all appear in the BadFuture segment, proving that they somehow do exist.
** As the ''[[Recap/SouthParkImaginationland Imaginationland]]'' trilogy/movie revealed, in the world of ''South Park'' being made up doesn't mean you don't exist. The Woodland Critters must simply have come over from Imaginationland when the world went bad.
* It might be just an example just overthinking things, but did Wendy break the Bro Code if you affirm the New Kid as a dude? This game's a direct sequel to ''Stick of Truth'' starring the exact same protagonist, and Bebe (who's HeterosexualLifePartners with Wendy) outright calls the New Kid hot only a few days ago. That said, Wendy herself flirts with a male New Kid (even calling him handsome).
** [[RunningGag Maybe Wendy is a two faced bitch?]]
** Wendy isn't a bro.
* It seems really odd that [[spoiler:Clyde is the one who has a breakdown in Mephesto's lab from seeing all the mutants, considering what he was doing to corpses in the last game.]]
** Considering that he thought the goo was Taco Bell Green Sauce, I doubt he knew what he was doing back then.
* Chaos has rows and rows of rubbish trucks filled with red LEGO pieces. Calculating by their size, roughly 24 million 1x1 flat pieces could fit in a rubbish truck. According to the official LEGO website, 1 1x1 flat piece is worth around 0.05USD. That means that it cost 1.2 million USD to completely fill one rubbish truck, far outside Butters' price range of 20,000 USD. So how did Butters get entire rows of filled trucks when to fill even one is outside his budget?
** Bulk discount?
* Tweek, Craig, Wendy, and Henrietta are all still susceptible to the Raisins girls' charming powers, despite none of them being attracted to girls. The New Kid is also still susceptible, no matter what sexuality you select for them.
** [[WatsonianVersusDoylist Doylist answer:]] So that no playable characters would be immune to certain status effects. Also, the New Kid's sexuality and gender aren't meant to be played seriously (It is Franchise/SouthPark, after all), so it wouldn't make sense for some sexuality choices to affect actual gameplay.
*** But then we've got mechanics where the New Kid is immune to grounding and can cure others of grounding, or how simply having freckles makes the New Kid and Captain Diabetes immune to Morgan Freeman's Charm ability. It sounds like the developers just didn't take sexuality particularly that of the New Kid into consideration.
