Examples include letting thousands of soldiers die in battle out of spite for their commanding officer wrecking your car, holding the little brother of a woman hostage to force her to murder people for the amusement of the rich and corrupt, treating a sentient race as cattle and shooting them for sport and using ''hundreds'' of thousands of people as fuel for their war machines. Luckily most of these assholes get what's coming to them, usually in the shape of a CruelAndUnusualDeath delivered by the heroes.
9	* ''Manhua/MyWifeIsADemonQueen'': Tols Rennes is arrogant, has a strong LackOfEmpathy, and is obsessed with "Yi Bei" to the point he openly wishes to kill her husband and take her for himself, against her will, even though he could easily bed just about any woman in the kingdom just by asking. His brothers are just as bad [[HatedByAll if not worse]], to the point where their father (who happens to be a ''genocidal warlord'') has to resort to death threats to get them to behave, and everyone else would be ''happy'' if those threats were carried out.
10	** Aforementioned father, Angus, is hated by most people except for his lackeys, and even then they only serve him because of the money he pays them. [[spoiler: The only reason [[WhiteSheep his daughter Penny]] is working for him is that she's looking for an opportunity to backstab him.]]

14	* ''Manhwa/TheMonstrousDukesAdoptedDaughter'' has Leslie's biological family, the Speràdo clan. Leslie's mother and father abuse and mistreat her for years, under the impression that children with white hair such as Leslie are inferior to the predominantly blonde haired, green eyed family members, openly favoring her older sister Eli over her. Eli makes Leslie do all her homework for her and flaunts her status as the favorite child every chance she gets, and when Leslie turns 12, they try to perform a ceremony that involves ''throwing her into a fiery pit'' so her dark magic can be transferred over to Eli, maintaining the cruel tradition that the Speràdos have upheld in secret for nearly a thousand years. Leslie does everything she can to get the hell away from them, but even after she managed to find happiness, her biological family still intends on getting her back and using her for their own ends. Outside of abusing Leslie her entire life, they all believe that the best things in life are theirs by birthright, and if what they want is in the possession of others, then they're in the right to try and seize it for themselves, no matter what it takes. They never, ever take responsibility for their actions. While waiting for whatever standards they use to set for a proper sacrifice, they use their intended victim as a scapegoat to push the blame for the consequences of their misdeeds upon. It can be safe to say that they're the most hated characters in the whole manhwa [[spoiler: and it is incredibly satisfying to see Marquis Speràdo in particular finally get his ass handed to him by all the people he used, abused, and tried to outright destroy. And their abuse doesn't end at just Leslie: ''Every single child'' who was ever born with white hair and purple eyes, or even ''blood relatives'' who don't meet their impossible standards, like one of Travis's younger brothers, are treated like utter shit solely for existing.]]

The lyrics empathize how much he deserved his fate, as well as the nightmare he put his daughter through.
19	* Music/CarrieUnderwood's "Blown Away" is about an Oklahoman daughter leaving her passed-out alcoholic, physically and emotionally abusive father in his lounge chair in the middle of a tornado, while she seeks shelter.

While most villains in the series are either sympathetic, likable enough that you can actually find ''something'' enjoyable about them, or some combination of the two, Kaspar is entirely unpleasant. He's greedy, self-centered, viewed his own wife, Margarita, as both a [[TrophyWife status symbol]] and a [[GoldDigger meal ticket]] and on top of that, ''openly cheats on her'' without caring about her feelings on the matter. Needless to say, you ''won't'' feel sympathy for him when [[MasterPoisoner Margarita]] kills him.
26	** Scherzer from the one-off manga taking place during the Greed arc. He's a hedonist, a misogynist, a serial kidnapper ''and'' a rapist who freely states that he loves seeing the women he kidnaps lose all hope. Once again, you'll feel no pity for him when he dies.
27	** Seth Twiright, unlike almost every other character in the series, is completely unpitiable. He has no [[DarkAndTroubledPast tragic backstory]] [[FreudianExcuse justifying his actions]]. In fact, he is the cause of every event that occurs over the course of the series. [[spoiler:His involvement in each arc in Evillious is actually much more direct than his merely setting the ball rolling. He is able to further the story along by becoming the Demon of Wrath after his mortal death, whose Vessel of Sin is used to defeat those possessed by the other demons at the end of each arc.]]
28	* Music/{{Macabre}} has too many to list, their songs having covered some of the most disgusting killers in human history. A few specific examples would be Albert Fish, who raped, killed, and devoured many children, Gary Heidnick, who turned women into {{sex slave}}s and fed them the meat of his past victims, and Peter Stumpp, who was a cannibalistic SerialKiller who molested his own daughter and ate their new-born son.
29	* Martina [=McBride=]'s "Concrete Angel": The song highlights the evils of child abuse through Angela's unnamed mother, shown only as a woman with a drinking problem and anger issues. She beats her daughter to the extent that bruises are visible but no one does anything. By the time the law gets involved, it is too late as Angela's mother ends up killing her daughter in a fit of rage.
30	* Music/{{Poppy}}: Charlotte was formerly a news reporter who interviewed Poppy before concluding that she could be better than her. Becoming addicted to drugs, she tried to bribe the plant into giving her money to further fuel her habits to the point she neglected and abused her son Child Quin. When asked about her son, Charlotte grows furious and chokes Poppy. Instead of apologizing, Charlotte instead denies the incident, accusing Poppy of being selfish.
31	* Music/TheProtomen: The crowd of humans are the most cowardly individuals in both albums. In Act I, they watch as Proto Man seemingly dies and do nothing, before demanding the revived Proto Man be killed for insulting them and degrading his memory. In Act II, they happily allow Dr. Wily to take over the city and demand the death of the innocent Dr. Light.
32	* Slayer's ''Music/ReignInBlood'': Infamous Nazi Doctor Josef Mengele is portrayed in as horrific fashion as ever, reveling in his depraved experiments as the song's narrator condemns him as a "butcher" and his acts as "sickening".

36	* Myth/ClassicalMythology: [[BloodKnight Ares]] was essentially WarIsHell personified, viewed by the Greeks as bloodthirsty, petty, cruel, and often [[SoreLoser downright whiny]]. He was violent and barbaric, finding no greater joy than destroying his foes in battle, and extremely arrogant, having no strategizing skills whilst still expecting to win the war himself. The other gods detested Ares, with his mother Hera being embarrassed by him, his father Zeus giving him a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech after refusing to heal his wounds, his lover Aphrodite only liking him for his looks, and fellow war god Athena one-upping him at every turn. The Greeks themselves viewed Ares as a stupid, violent thug with no redeeming qualities beyond his [[PetTheDog fondness for his mother and daughters]], and no Greek city wanted him to be their patron deity.
37	* Haman the Agagite, from the Literature/BookOfEsther, is one of the [[OlderThanFeudalism oldest]] examples of a character who is supposed to be despised by the audience (due to being a narcissist and genocidal racist), and is one of the rare examples with religious significance. It is to the point that, during Purim (a feast where the story of Esther is retold), it is customary to cover up Haman's name by making a lot of noise whenever his name is uttered.
38	* OlderThanDirt: [[DragonsAreDemonic Apep/Apophis]] in Myth/EgyptianMythology stands out for being one of the few gods the ancient Egyptians ''never'' worshiped - which makes sense as Apep is the GodOfEvil, an OmnicidalManiac, an EldritchAbomination, and pretty much ''the'' BigBad of Egyptian religion in the form of a [[SnakesAreSinister sinister snake]]. The closest thing to 'worship' he received is priests burning effigies of him and spitting or stepping on figurines of him. It was common for Egyptians to pray for Apep's destruction at the hands of Ra.

42	* ''ComicStrip/CalvinAndHobbes'' has Moe, the lumbering, violent, [[EnfantTerrible six year old]] bully who pummels Calvin for kicks, and one of the few characters with no good qualities at all. Worse, he almost ''[[KarmaHoudini never]]'' gets punished for this. The closest he ever gets is when [[ItMakesSenseInContext Hobbes "scares" him into backing off one time,]] or when Calvin is shown about to bean him with a rock in one Sunday strip.
43	* Following the soft-reboot of ''ComicStrip/JudgeParker'' when Francesco Marciuliano took over from Woody Wilson, Godiva Danube, previously written as a successful actress and philanthropist, turned into this. First we were told that she was ''entirely responsible'' for the total disaster that was Neddy's clothing factory, even though all she did was sign the cheques and not question Neddy's poor decisions. Then she demanded Neddy become her assistant on her new film and got stroppy when Neddy turned her down. Then she got murdered by, it turned out, her drug dealer boyfriend, with the film she wanted Neddy to get involved in being a cover for drug smuggling. ''Even after she was dead'', no character has been able to talk about her without mentioning how demanding she was, how bad an actress she was, or both.

47	* Another CMLL tecnico fans despised was Rush, whom CMLL only continued to [[CharacterAlignment officially designate]] as a tecnico at Rush's own insistence. Rather than try to "correct" the response, though, CMLL would do all in its power to make Rush hated, making him a TokenEvilTeammate to Maximo Sexy, La Sombra, La Mascara, and such. When La Sombra and La Mascara began to receive similar reactions, they ended up joining with Rush in the wildcard stable Los Ingobernables, who claimed to simply be a different style of tecnicos and refused to align with other rudos, being likely to feud with both tecnicos and rudos depending on the need at the time. Ultimately the Los Ingobernables name would be much better known for their offshoot ''[[Wrestling/LosIngobernablesDeJapon de Japon]]'' courtesy of a Japanese member who they took on during his excursion after having trouble with his host nation's fans.
48	** Said Japanese wrestler, the former "Stardust Genius" Wrestling/TetsuyaNaito, was clearly intended to be this when he came back as a heel in Wrestling/NewJapanProWrestling. Showing up late to press meetings, a lackadaisical entrance and fighting style which took the concept of [[WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender neutral jing]] to absurd levels in a company built on the ethos of Japanese fighting spirit, and treating Wrestling/ShinsukeNakamura's vaunted IWGP Intercontinental Championship belt like a shiny toy to be thrown around at will, not to mention, again, starting his [[Wrestling/LosIngobernablesDeJapon LIJ]] group by taking a well-liked ascended young boy named Takaaki Watanabe and restyling him as a cartoonish GrimReaper type called Wrestling/{{EVIL\|Wrestler}}. All this was meant to thumb his nose at the fans who did not accept him when he was earmarked to be Wrestling/HiroshiTanahashi's successor as the HotBlooded and passionate top face of the company. While initially being ''very'' successful at garnering universal scorn from both fans and rivals (ask Wrestling/KazuchikaOkada, their hatred is mutual), it wasn't very long before this transferred into a LoveToHate reaction, then to an ironic RootingForTheEmpire, until he and his group were acknowledged as [[WildCard tweeners]] rather than the straight-up heels they were intended to be.
49	* Despite his official billing as a [[{{Face}} técnico]], Wrestling/{{CMLL}}'s fans spewed much vitriol towards Perro Aguayo Jr. for being a ReplacementScrappy to his father. CMLL would "correct" this response by having Aguayo Jr. defeat [[DracoInLeatherPants popular rudos]] such as Dr. Wagner Jr. and Rey Bucanero, leading up to a title match with [[GoodVersusGood a técnico people actually liked]], Atlantis, which was a BreakTheHaughty moment for Aguayo when he lost, which led to him [[RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap legitimately getting over]].
50	* The heel run of Wrestling/MichaelCole from 2010 to 2012. Cole deliberately played the role of an egotistical commentator who worshipped Wrestling/TheMiz, shilled for other top heels, constantly berated babyfaces and even neutral characters like referees, and even mocked the fans themselves. He was made to be a rare wrestling personality who was truly hateable in an era where it is increasingly rare for people to boo heels.
51	* A notable exception to the above was the late 1991 heel turn of [[Wrestling/JakeRoberts Jake "The Snake" Roberts]]. In the space of three months, Roberts betrayed [[Wrestling/UltimateWarrior The Ultimate Warrior]] to his nemesis Wrestling/TheUndertaker, broke up the wedding of Wrestling/RandySavage and [[Wrestling/MissElizabeth Elizabeth]] by putting a live snake in a gift box, DDT'ing and ambushing a revenge-seeking Savage on multiple occasions, including one extremely memorable instance where "The Snake" caused a live cobra to bite "The Macho Man" on national television, slapped Elizabeth across the face, as well as nearly hitting Savage and Elizabeth with a steel chair from behind a curtain. The last act was so despicable it caused Roberts' former accomplice Undertaker to have a face turn, foil his plan and oppose Roberts, causing "The Snake" to retaliate by locking "The Deadman"'s hand in a casket, rendering him helpless to an onslaught of chair shots by the vengeful Jake. Through this marathon of heinousness, "The Snake" became easily the most despised man in professional wrestling, receiving death threats constantly.
52	* Many of the lower-level Wrestling/{{WWE}} heels aren't really all that vile, but they are annoying and "[[StrawLoser uncool]]". Quite a few of them are also supposed to be hated simply because they are [[ForeignWrestlingHeel Evil Foreigners]], [[UnintentionalPeriodPiece hail from a country the United States is having difficulty getting along with at the moment]], or at least advocate political positions that seem "un-American". Heels who aren't very evil from the beginning will [[KickTheDog quickly do something mean]] so the audience has an excuse to hate them.
53	* Wrestling/DominikMysterio is perhaps the most notable example in recent memory after his FaceHeelTurn at ''Clash at the Castle'', betraying his father Wrestling/{{Rey Mysterio\|Jr}} and HonoraryUncle Wrestling/{{Edge}} in favor of the heel faction Wrestling/TheJudgmentDay ([[Wrestling/FergalDevitt Finn Bálor]], Wrestling/RheaRipley, and Damian Priest, with JD [=McDonagh=] joining later). He has seemingly gone out of his way to break off the heat knob with typical chickenshit heel tactics and showing as much gross disrespect to [[Wrestling/ReyMysterioJr his father]] and [[MaskedLuchador his family's traditions]] as much as conceivably possible, generating nuclear heat wherever he went. By the time ''Wrestling/WrestleMania'' season was over, he was generating so much heat that he couldn't even ''speak'' without entire crowds trying to boo him out of the arena.

59	** Drake Ward, the manager of the department store, is intended to be a profiteer who ignores the wellbeing of his employees.
60	** The unnamed radio host is meant as a potshot at media personalities who push a sympathetic narrative towards murderers, as opposed to showing any regard for the victims.
61	* ''Script/Godzilla1994'': With the Gryphon being an [[LivingWeapon alien bio-weapon]], serving unseen masters, our human antagonist in General Pike — a gung-ho leader of the Saint George Project, laser-focused on killing Godzilla, regardless of the collateral damage. When Godzilla reaches San Francisco, Pike suggests a nuclear strike, even when told it would result in ''further'' destruction across the cost; calling it as an "[[AMillionIsAStatistic acceptable loss of life]]". When Godzilla faces the Gryphon in New York, Pike has the Empire State Building destroyed to trap the monsters. When asked about the civilian casualties, Pike dismissively states they’ll build a monument to them, before turning against and firing upon his allies when they try to free Godzilla.

67	** Konrad von Carstein, the son of Vlad von Carstein, is the highly incompetent and most infamously [[AxCrazy mad]] member of the bloodline. Nothing more than a bully, countless people die thanks to Konrad's StupidEvil, including his own men, and when he is slain during a post-battle tantrum, nobody mourns for him.
68	** Mannfred von Carstein is the [[DirtyCoward cowardly]] and treacherous son of Vlad von Carstein. Similar to his brother Konrad, Mannfred is a brutal and ruthless Vampire Count, ruler of Sylvania. [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder Betraying everyone he allies with and works under]], Mannfred thinks nothing of murdering his own family and eventually sells the entire world out to Chaos to save his own skin, only to finally meet his end at the hands of Tyrion after murdering his crippled brother Teclis, but not before his cowardice directly ends the world.
69	** Sigvald the Magnificent is the [[TheFightingNarcissist narcissistic]] Geld-Prince of Slaanesh. Murdering his own father after being exiled for [[ImAHumanitarian cannibalism]], Sigvald eventually made a deal with the God Slaanesh to gain great power and sword skill. Sigvald goes on a brutal rampage against anyone he does not consider attractive enough for his tastes, nailing porcelain masks to the faces of two of his wives, and abandoning the third to die. Sigvald also goes after the High Elves out of jealousy and refuses to allow his soldiers to retreat, growing a massive body count of his own men. In the end, after being forced to retreat, he bullies the troll Throgg and dies in a humiliating fashion.
70	* ''TabletopGame/Warhammer40000'':
71	** Herman Von Strab the former Overlord of Armageddon and biggest waste of flesh in the last 500 years. A GeneralFailure to eclipse all others due to his {{Pride}} and TooDumbToLive tendencies. Despite the Orks being the main antagonists he repeatedly sends his men to pointless deaths and refused aid to his (seemingly) loyal subordinate city governors just to make a point that he is in charge. He has tried multiple times to kill [[TheHero Commissar Yarrick]] for trying to salvage the mess he’s put in, and he may have killed Manneheim’s predecessor for offending him. And in an amazing display of his infinite wisdom launches [[PlanetKiller Planet Killers]] on his home world as a quick solution which [[EpicFail worked wonderfully in the ork’s favor]]. Somehow he manages to one-up all of that by [[TheQuisling joining the orks to launch another invasion on his home world]] while he forms an army of loyal idiots to take the planet for himself. He goes in full [[TheCaligula Caligula]] with debaucherous parties and volcano sacrifices to distract how even the [[DudeWheresMyRespect orks don’t give a damn about him]]. In one Apocalypse Game scenario which is the only time he’s playable, but doesn’t have an official model, he gets only one rule which is that Imperium players benefit from his death.
72	** The Marines Malevolent are one of many chapters of [[Characters/Warhammer40000Astartes Space Marines]] serving in the [[Characters/Warhammer40000Imperium Imperium Of Man]], [[TheEmpire a colossal empire spanning the entire universe]] [[AbsoluteXenophobe hellbent on annihilating all non-human life]]. The Marines Malevolent are exceptionally vile as an entire army of [[JerkAss Jerkasses]] with a SocialDarwinist attitude. [[BadBoss Treating their chapter serfs like slaves]] and [[EvenEvilHasStandards being reviled by nearly everyone in the Imperium]], The Marines Malevolent serve as a harsh reminder as to how much of a CrapsackWorld the 41st millennium has become.
73	** During the Literature/HorusHeresy, chaplain Erebus of the Word Bearers served as one of the most loathsome figures. In his childhood he [[TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior killed another kid]], and when he became an adult he pledged himself to the Dark Gods of Chaos. He orchestrated the Horus Heresy by [[TheCorrupter leading Horus and Lorgar down the path of darkness]]. The horrible, {{crapsack\|World}} state of the 40k galaxy is pretty much all his fault, and he shows no remorse.

77	* Mary from ''Theatre/TheChildrensHour'' is only a little girl but [[EnfantTerrible what a terrible little girl]] she is. She spreads MaliciousSlander about her school teachers about how they're in a lesbian affair. Considering the time period this takes place in, this ends very badly. On top of that, she blackmails one of her classmates, physically harms said classmate, acts like a SpoiledBrat, and is constantly lying. [[spoiler:Mary [[KarmaHoudini never even]] gets her just desserts for ruining her teachers' lives.]]
78	* ''Theatre/TheCrucible'' (1996): Abigail Williams is a teenage girl in Puritan Massachusetts who had an affair with the much older John Proctor. When he realized what he was doing, he dumped Abigail, causing her to attempt a ritual to kill his wife. When she and her friends are caught, they blame a slave woman, causing her to be hanged. To keep the lie going, Abigail bullies her friends into helping her accuse more people of witchcraft, starting the Salem Witch Trials in the process. [[spoiler:After John Proctor himself is accused, Abigail offers to bust him out of jail so they can run away together but coldly leaves him to die when he refuses.]]
79	* ''Theatre/{{Hamilton}}'' is, at its core, a WhiteAndGreyMorality tale about the Founding Fathers of the United States. Though they often squabble with one another, each one honestly believes he's doing what's right for the new nation, and as some of the most respected figures in human history, they're almost impossible to hate. Thus, the truly despicable members of the cast are the bit characters. You can hate Charles Lee for being a cowardly GeneralFailure whose ineptitude leads to four-digit casualties at the Battle of Monmouth (and be pleased when John Laurens defeats him in a duel). You can hate James Reynolds for being a DomesticAbuser and {{blackmail}}er who plays a major role in ruining Hamilton's reputation out of sheer greed. And you can ''definitely'' hate George Eacker for killing Hamilton's son in a duel... [[DirtyCoward by shooting him in the back on "seven."]]
80	* In ''Theatre/JekyllAndHyde'', the pedophilic Bishop of Basingstoke, abusive bar hostess Gwenny, and Jekyll's sleazy romantic rival Simon Stride have little to no redeeming qualities and mainly exist to oppose Jekyll, showcase London's hypocrisy, and let the viewers root for Hyde briefly. The Spider, Lucy Harris' manager, is an even bigger case, as he has no redeeming qualities and gets off scot-free for his mistreatment of Lucy. In earlier versions, Stride was even worse because he essentially had Spider's role, with the added uncomfortableness of explicitly being a pimp (and Lucy and her fellow bar girls his prostitutes, which was glossed over in the final version).
81	* ''Music/JesusChristSuperstar'' has King Herod. While Jesus' other accusers - Judas Iscariot, Caiaphas, Annas, and Pontius Pilate - are hardly good people for [[BiblicalBadGuy obvious reasons]], each has at least one semi-altruistic reason for opposing Him. Herod, who is only really in one scene, by contrast just wants to protect his power and [[TheHedonist copious amounts of stuff]], and spends most of his stage time gleefully taunting Jesus, who is unwilling to fight back, before declaring Him a phony and shipping Him off to be executed. Much like the Thenardiers, however, Herod's [[EvilIsHammy scenery-chomping]] VillainSong is one of the few funny things in the show.
82	* Inspector Javert is the main antagonist of ''Theatre/LesMiserables'', but while he does make life miserable for Valjean, he's just trying to do his job and arrest Valjean, whom he believes to be a dangerous criminal (and ''technically'' he's right, as Valjean ''is'' a bail-jumper); when Javert realizes that Valjean is really a good person through and through, it turns his world upside down (he's always thought of criminals as irredeemable monsters, so Valjean is a walking LogicBomb like that). So who can the audience hate? The Thenardiers, the cowardly comic relief thieves who abuse Cosette, loot bodies during the rebellion, and try to attack Valjean's house, which prompts Valjean to make plans for him and Cosette to flee the city (he thought that the attack was led by Javert). Ironically, despite being the only truly morally bankrupt characters in the show, the Thenardiers are probably among the ''best''-liked in the cast; they have the only truly funny songs in the work ("Master of the House" and "Beggar at the Feast"), and as such are the only source of levity in the musical otherwise.

Once Travis finds out about what Camilla has done, he is absolutely disgusted and decides that he doesn't want anything to do with her.

He is also indirectly responsible for Jasper's death and contemplated killing David when it seemed as though Jasper fell to his death.

She's also generally snobby, arrogant, abusive, and extremely homophobic. It all makes it very easy for the audience to root for Charlie over her.

He takes every bit of earnings from Angel's jobs and shifts and will even force himself upon Angel, repeatedly raping and assaulting him to the point where he has become a drug addict to try and dull the abuse he's suffered at the hands of Valentino.

Even as the story starts deconstructing Stolas' [[SympatheticAdulterer Sympathetic Adulterer]] status and forces him to understand that he's hurting the people he cares about, Stella doesn't gain any explicit redeemable qualities, and is painted in an unsympathetic light whenever she's on-screen. And in case you were wondering that maybe Stella and Stolas did love each other at first, a young Stolas bursting into tears upon being shown a picture of her strangling a dog and learning that he's being forced to marry her is all the proof you need to know she was a bad egg right from the start.

He also makes no attempts to emotionally connect with his son, impatiently expecting a young Moxxie to cut extremely hard meat, despite Moxxie just being a little child at the time, [[HarmfulToMinors exposing him to his awful crimes and even forcing Moxxie to partake in them]]. In the present, he still aggressively tries to exert control over the now-adult Moxxie at every chance, and he tries to force him into an unwanted marriage for money, not caring that Moxxie is already married to a woman he genuinely loves and demeaning his relationship by calling Millie a stupid beard.

Her only redeeming traits were her love for her niece and brother. [[spoiler:Once she becomes a Majin, however, even that goes out the window when she gleefully murders Gohan by cutting him in half with no remorse. To top it all off, her descent into evil was simply because she hated protecting those she sees as weak and were thus unworthy of living]]. In a series filled with psychopaths, galactic conquerors, and outright {{Jerkass}}es, Son Bra easily comes off as the most detestable of the lot despite her being on the side of good.

Despite this, she's largely a behind-the-scenes player who keeps up a friendly veneer in public and can seem downright reasonable until she finally starts letting her MaskOfSanity slip in a later story arc. And that's not even touching on her later actions, which include stabbing her sister's hand into the table to make her stay, chopping off her arm seconds later, and going for a thrill kill against some unfortunate guests in the middle of her own home being attacked by actual invaders, which establish her as firmly AxCrazy compared to Snadhya'rune's refined manipulations. [[spoiler:Ironically enough, the two of them switch roles in the end when Snadhya murdered Kalki in cold blood after growing weary of her behavior. AlasPoorVillain indeed.]]

He's also all but confirmed to be the masked man who drugged Shin Ae's drink near the beginning of the comic.

He dated Emily, who was seventeen at the time, is implied to have raped her, actually got her pregnant, and is an alcoholic who gets violent when he drinks. Even before this, he's revealed to be into underage girls, and is known for cheating on his girlfriends and gaslighting them whenever they called him on it. When he learns that Emily is pregnant, he tries to contact her to no avail. [[spoiler: In Chapter E, which is only featured in the physical copies of volume 5, he accosts Jessica at her work, demanding to know where Emily is so he can force her to abort the baby, knowing that if she births his child, all of the bad things he did will come back to bite him. Jessica tells him off, and Heather calls the police on him.]]

She's constantly mentioned to be an emotionally abusive deadbeat mom who is always traveling, leaving Emily alone in the house for months on end, and makes it pretty clear that she never wanted Emily at all. In fact, the only reason Emily dated Chase in the first place was that her mother emotionally manipulated her into doing so. Desperately wanting her mother's approval, Emily went along with it, which resulted in the things Chase did to her listed above. In fact, she knows that Chase is a crap person and of his previous shenanigans, but doesn't give a shit, guilt-tripping Emily into staying with him because she thinks she's not gonna do any better. [[spoiler: It doesn't help that when Emily told her she was pregnant, her mother called her a disgrace and would be far too happy to kick her out of the house once she graduates, despite being the main reason Emily is in her current situation in the first place.]]
141	* ''Webcomic/{{Rebirth}}'': There is absolutely nothing likable about Ian. It's revealed in the past timeline he threw his own daughter out of a helicopter to save himself from zombies [[spoiler: and later attempts to do the same to Neo.]] He's always rude and mean towards everyone, and also complains just as much as Parish, if not more so.

144	* ''WebComic/StandStillStaySilent'': The JustBeforeTheEnd part of the prologue is a HyperlinkStory happening during the worldwide outbreak of a particularly virulent disease. The portion focusing on Denmark is about two JerkWithAHeartOfGold people meeting for the first time when sudden travel restrictions mean that the ferry they are riding is not making its return trip from Bornholm island. The news causes businessman Michael Madsen, who was on the boat to take his cat to his sister's farm before an important meeting, to threaten all the boat's waiters with a FrivolousLawsuit if they don't make the boat turn back. Waitress Signe Sorensen gives him a well-deserved chewing out that goes well beyond the acceptable behavior of a waitress towards a customer but later comes to cheer him up when his MeanBoss fires him over the phone. The MeanBoss in question had been earlier shown treating Michael going out of his way to bring his cat to his sister's place rather than just dumping it in a cat hotel as SkewedPriorities and threatening to fire him if he wasn't back in mainland Denmark by the next day, which makes him much easier to hate than either Michael or Signe.
145	* ''Webcomic/SurvivorFanCharacters'': The creator explained in his notes for Season 9 that he wrote the season's main villain, [[spoiler:Prescilla/Bonnie]], to be this; he wanted her to be so reprehensible with zero redeeming qualities that readers, instead of finding her [[EvilIsCool cool]] or [[LoveToHate entertaining to hate]] as they did with many of the series' previous villains, would just plain '''hate''' her and find her eventual epic downfall to be all the more cathartic.

After sixty chapters of enjoying his unearned reputation and putting the protagonists in danger, watching Gray beat the snot out of him, followed by Teddy proving that he's nothing but hot air in front of his entire class, is quite satisfying.
150	** Following in the heels of Phillip Kim, Jared Sun is an OpportunisticBastard who uses his connections to excel at school while bullying all of the hard-working students. He forces Toby to serve Jared and his gang food and alcohol at his family's chicken shop, leading to it getting suspended- Jared reported the shop to authorities [[ForTheEvulz just because he could]], with no consideration for Toby's earnest, hard-working father. He then devised a plan to frame Rowan for stealing from Wolf, which leads to him, Eugene, and Gray all receiving a nasty beating at Wolf's hands. He's such a vile character that readers started to like Wolf more simply because he was the one who delivered Jared's well-deserved punishment, and the chapter where his reputation crumbles down around him is immensely cathartic.
151	** Bryce Oh is a lying, scheming UngratefulBastard whose petty jealousy against the kindly Stephen- who had gone out of his way to befriend Bryce when he was alone- leads to Stephen getting horribly beaten and bullied, eventually to the point that he ends up comatose in the hospital. No one feels sorry for him when Gray [[RoaringRampageOfRevenge retaliates so viciously]] that it gets him expelled.
152	** Gerard's backstory has Jeongmu, an unrepentant, cowardly {{Jerkass}} completely lacking in sympathetic traits. He ruins other people's successes out of petty jealousy and fixates on ruining Gerard's life just because Gerard had the nerve to stand up to him, culminating in him [[spoiler:setting the practise room for Gerard's band on fire, which leads to Gerard getting hospitalised.]] The only good point of it all is the cathartic satisfaction of him taking a beating from the guys he hired to attack Gerard.

Ruby eventually starts falling out of this trope when she is no longer a romantic threat to Yumi and the latter starts moving on in her career.

He runs a toy store, which he hardly puts any work into keeping afloat, and he spends most of his earnings on frivolous knick-knacks to the point where he doesn't have enough left to properly feed his daughters. As a result, Molly, who's ''12'', had to [[WiseBeyondTheirYears learn how to cook, run a store, and file taxes all on her own]] just to keep the place afloat. He barely even cares about Molly, with the first episode's plot being kicked off when he forgets to pick her up from a field trip, leaving her alone in a closing museum at night, and in ''Literature/EpithetErasedPrisonOfPlastic'', [[spoiler:when Giovanni threatens to steal "the most valuable thing" from him, Martin doesn't even consider that this could be referring to his daughters]]. In that book's ending, the audience is meant to cheer when [[spoiler:Giovanni "[[TheKindnapper abducts]]" Molly (read: takes her away from Martin's abuse so she can actually get some good food and sleep at his friend's house)]]. Notably, one habit in the fandom is including a special "Martin Blyndeff" entry at the bottom of character tier lists, because even petty {{Jerkass}} villains like Bugsy Pugsler and Arnold Markdown are considered too likeable to deserve sharing a tier with Martin.
159	** Lorelai is almost as bad as her father. She's the Foolish half of a FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling with Molly: thanks to her power to create [[PocketDimension Dream Bubbles]], she spends all day living out fantasy scenarios instead of helping her younger sister deal with the stress that Martin piles up on her. She also has a strong attitude that [[ItsAllAboutMe everything revolves around her]]: she kicks off the plot of ''Prison of Plastic'' by abducting Giovanni after falling in LoveAtFirstSight with him, and she viciously snaps at Molly when she finally gets the backbone to suggest that maybe Lorelai could help out around the store sometimes. The result is that much of Lorelai's appeal as a character comes from wanting to see her get called out, defeated, and humbled. However, despite all of this, she's ultimately a {{subversion}}: while she is indeed utterly detestable for much of the book, she later earns a few sympathy points when it's revealed that she only became this selfish {{Jerkass}} due to the trauma of losing her mother, as well as [[spoiler:the guilt of believing she may have been responsible for it in a case of PowerIncontinence]]. While it's still ''very'' satisfying when Lorelai finally gets what's coming to her, [[spoiler:the possibility of her redeeming herself in a future story is put on the table afterwards]].
