[[GreenEyedMonster Green-Eyed Monsters]] in WesternAnimation.
----
* An episode of ''WesternAnimation/ThreeTwoOnePenguins'' is actually titled "The Green-Eyed Monster," and it involves a planet where a flock of sheep is jealous of another flock because they believe the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. In the meantime, Michelle is envious over Jason having a bigger room on the ship. Eventually, literal green-eyed monsters pop up and cause a ruckus both on the Penguins' ship and on Planet Picket.
* In ''WesternAnimation/AaahhRealMonsters'' episode "The Rival", Oblina becomes one of the new student, Smeldra, got more scaring skills than she did.
* In ''WesternAnimation/TheAmazingWorldOfGumball'', Gumball becomes literally possessed by his jealousy of Leslie in "The Flower."
* ''Franchise/AvatarTheLastAirbender'':
** In [[WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender the original series']] episode ''[[Recap/AvatarTheLastAirbenderTheWaterbendingScroll The Waterbending Scroll]]'', [[Characters/AvatarTheLastAirbenderKatara Katara]] doesn't get [[MakingASplash Waterbending]] right instantly while Aang, being an [[BlowYouAway Airbending]] Avatar, [[InstantExpert did]]. This causes her to yell at him about it [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone only to feel guilty and apologize]], and she also put the others in danger due to stealing a pirate's scroll. She gets over all this, though.
*** In the interquel comic series called ''[[ComicBook/AvatarTheLastAirbenderThePromise The Promise]]'', Katara feels a bit upset that Aang hangs out with the Air Nomad fan club more than her, making her feel left out. But this is resolved when Aang explains that the fan club reminds him of his old home. That, and he loves her.
** ''WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfKorra'':
*** The first season features a LoveDodecahedron. So naturally, this trope comes out in full force. [[Characters/TheLegendOfKorraAvatarKorra Korra]] is initially standoffish towards Asami, who was dating her own crush, Mako. When Korra decides to date Bolin, Mako gets jealous in turn due to his own unrealized feelings for her. As Mako and Korra start to get closer and act more affectionate to one another, [[Characters/TheLegendOfKorraAsamiSato Asami Sato]] displays green-eyed tendencies toward them herself, though it's played with in her case as she's shown to be more angry at Mako for his cheating and unwillingness to be honest with her about it. When the dust finally settles at the end of the season, Mako breaks up with Asami amicably and hooks up with Korra.
*** In the second season, it becomes clear that the ArcVillain, Unalaq, Korra's uncle, and chief of the Northern Water Tribe, is deeply jealous of his older brother Tonraq, Korra's father. He was so envious of his brother's position that he engineered his banishment so he could become chief. Korra also suggests that Unalaq's desire to train her stems from his envy of the fact that Tonraq sired the Avatar.
* Franchise/{{Barbie}} [[WesternAnimation/{{Barbie}} movies]]:
** In ''WesternAnimation/BarbieAndTheSecretDoor'', BigBad Malucia is jealous of others' magic since she has none, so she uses her wand to steal it.
** In ''WesternAnimation/BarbieInAMermaidTale'', despite being of royal blood, Eris can't spin Merillia. This makes her very jealous of her sister Calissa.
* WesternAnimation/{{Beetlejuice}} has a tendency to be a bit of a CrazyJealousGuy whenever anyone tries to monopolize Lydia's attention, but he goes full-on this trope in one episode. Prince Vince becomes so enamored of Lydia that he actually proposes to her, causing Beetlejuice to almost literally explode; he has steam coming out of his ears and his eyes are flashing multiple colors.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Ben 10}}'' has multiple examples of this. Considering the protagonist gains FamedInStory starting with the third installment of the show, that's kinda understandable:
** [[FallenHero Captain Nemesis]], despite being himself a famous superhero as well as possessing his own company, developped a jealousy when Ben starts becoming more popular than him (ironically, Ben himself admired him then). He first attempted to get back credit in a so-called friendly competition with him, but ends up humiliated (the only round he is able to win is only thanks to part him cheating and part Ben's Omnitrix malfunctionning). Unable to stand this, he turns evil as a result. By his second appearance, he has gone as far as becoming a ''murderer''.
** [[EvilCounterpart Kevin]] displays shades of this after his FaceHeelTurn in Season 1 of ''Ultimate Alien''. ([[WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity due being turned insane by absorbing alien DNA]]). His dialogue with Ben during their final fight has him pointing out how Ben got everything whereas he ended up turned into a monster and forced to delinquency.
** Gwen's own [[TheRival rival]], Charmcaster, also displays this in ''Alien Force'' and ''Ultimate Alien'' toward Gwen, furious that she had to work hard for her magic whereas, as a being made of mana, Gwen was BornLucky.
** A more light-hearted exemple than the two previous ones, minor villain [[SpoiledBrat Billy Billion]] from ''Omniverse'' has his whole motivation running around the fact he was jealous of Ben for getting more attention at school than him.
* ''WesternAnimation/BigHero6TheSeries'':
** Karmi's motivation for treating Hiro like crap is because he's upstaging her as S-fit's youngest student.
** Fred sometimes lets his jealousy of [[SitcomArchnemesis Richardson Mole]] get the better of him.
** [[BunnyEarsLawyer Krei]] and Hiro both suffer from this in "[[Recap/BigHero6TheSeriesS1E17BigProblem Big Problem]]", Krei towards Liv Amara and Hiro towards Karmi.
* In ''WesternAnimation/{{Castlevania}}'' Season 2 [[NotSoStoic Alucard of all people]] has a Green Eyed Monster moment towards Trevor and Sypha’s burgeoning romance. It’s never elaborated which of the pair that Alucard is more jealous of (''it’s probably both of them'') since Trevor and Sypha have found happiness in their CrapSackWorld while Alucard [[TheWoobie whose already super lonely is now playing the third wheel to them]]. [[spoiler: Season 3 hints that Alucard had strong feelings for both Trevor and Sypha and he comes to see Taka and Sumi as ReplacementGoldfish but is left betrayed and heartbroken by them]].
* ''WesternAnimation/CodeLyoko'' has [[StalkerWithACrush Sissi Delmas]] who loves Ulrich and is jealous of the relationship between Yumi and Ulrich -- so she tries to make Yumi jealous in turn (sometimes successfully). Also, when [[RomanticFalseLead William Dunbar]] enters the scene in Season 2, Ulrich shows serious envy of William's easy flirting with Yumi, while he himself CannotSpitItOut.
* In the ''WesternAnimation/CowAndChicken'' two-parter "The Ugliest Weenie", Flem acting as the leading man in the play makes Chicken jealous because he gets to hang around with a cute girl. Chicken repeatedly tries to drop heavy props on him, only to injure the director by mistake.
* In ''WesternAnimation/CraigOfTheCreek'' episode "[[Recap/CraigOfTheCreekS2E19CreekDaycare Creek Daycare]]", Craig is jealous that his little sister Jessica is better at dealing with the daycare kids than he is.
* On ''WesternAnimation/DanielTigersNeighborhood'', Daniel gets jealous of the attention that his little sister Margaret is getting in "Margaret's Birthday Buddy / Margaret's Birthday Party" and has to be reminded more than once that it's not his birthday. His parents help him to get over it by having him be [[TitleDrop Margaret's birthday buddy]], his job being to help her party go well for her.
* ''WesternAnimation/DannyPhantom'':
** "[[Recap/DannyPhantomS1E6WhatYouWant What You Want]]" shows Tucker being envious of Danny's ghost powers. It's a kick in the teeth to him especially because Danny was once on equal terms with him before he got his powers, making him (from Tucker's perspective) "superior."
** Sam has a crush on Danny and is obviously jealous of Paulina, perceiving her as a potential love rival.
** As is Vlad of Jack because he's married to the love of his life, Maddie, and they have Danny, whom Vlad desperately wants on his side as his son and heir.
** Freakshow has what Jazz calls "ghost envy".
* ''WesternAnimation/TheDragonPrince'': When Callum confronts him about stealing the egg, he rants at the boy, saying he was given everything and that it made him weak. Given that it's later revealed [[Characters/TheDragonPrinceViren Viren]] came from a humble background this rant implies that Viren [[HiddenDisdainReveal secretly resented]] Callum for being AdoptedIntoRoyalty.
* In the ''WesternAnimation/DragonTales'' episode "[[Recap/DragonTalesS2E7 Cassie the Green-Eyed Dragon]]", Cassie takes her cute little baby brother Finn to school and gets jealous when everyone pays him attention and doesn't notice her achievements, and very angry when he accidentally destroys her castle diorama. As this is one of those shows that teaches kids how to handle their emotions, Quetzal, the teacher, helps her by explaining how we all feel jealous sometimes and gives her some help to feel better.
* ''WesternAnimation/DuckTales2017'' takes this to its logical conclusion for the episode "The Duck Knight Returns." When actor Jim Starling learns that they're rebooting ''WesternAnimation/DarkwingDuck'' (which is a ShowWithinAShow in this continuity) into a movie, he becomes extremely jealous when he learns that a new actor is taking up the role he once played, and that no one, not even the film's director, is even aware of who he is. He then attempts various ploys to sabotage the production by any means necessary, resulting in a climatic battle between him and his replacement that ends with Starling's apparent demise and the film's cancellation, spurning his replacement [[spoiler: Drake Mallard]] to take up the part in Jim's honor. Though Jim appeared to have a HeelRealization upon seeing how far he had gone, [[spoiler: the explosion that apparently killed him drove him further into insanity, leaving him to become Negaduck]].
* Nancy on ''WesternAnimation/FancyNancy'' occasionally falls into this. She's jealous when Bridgette pays more attention to Jojo in "Nancy's Supreme Night Out", and is jealous when Bree and Megan hang out and inadvertently snub her in "Nancy's Friendship Faux Pas". She's a more literal example due to having green eyes.
* In ''WesternAnimation/FantasticFourWorldsGreatestHeroes'', this turns the Puppet Master FromNobodyToNightmare in [[Recap/FantasticFourWorldsGreatestHeroesPuppetMaster the episode of the same name.]]
* ''WesternAnimation/TheFlintstones'': In [[Recap/TheFlintstonesS3E2FredsNewBoss "Fred's New Boss"]], Barney's promotion causes Fred to become so jealous of having been PassedOverPromotion that their friendship falls apart. A big reason is that Fred just helped Barney get hired at the quarry.
* ''WesternAnimation/FourEyes'': Literally for Emma, except for the green-eyed part. In one episode, Redgar (her crush from an opposing school) showed interest in a girl from his own school, causing Emma to become extremely jealous which caused her to turn into a demonic monster, far from her alien appearance.
* Demona in ''WesternAnimation/{{Gargoyles}}'' still harbors feelings for her ex-mate Goliath in spite of their falling-out and thus, is increasingly jealous when she sees Goliath and Elisa growing closer. Demona will drop everything and [[MurdertheHypotenuse try to kill Elisa]] because of this.
* An episode of Disney's ''WesternAnimation/HerculesTheAnimatedSeries'' (called, appropriately enough, "Hercules and the Green-Eyed Monster") has Icarus being jealous that his drama teacher is marrying his father, and thus getting most of his attention, and disrupting the wedding with Pandora's box. He is then consumed by Jealousy, as in swallowed whole by an AnthropomorphicPersonification who has been feeding on his envy.
* Pepper and Tony both seem to do this in ''WesternAnimation/IronManArmoredAdventures'' when the other is hanging out with someone else (Tony with Whitney and Pepper with Gene). However, they CannotSpitItOut despite the fact that EveryoneCanSeeIt.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Jem}}'' is loaded with this. The Misfits want to destroy the Holograms because they're jealous of their success, Eric Raymond wants to destroy Jerrica Benton because he's jealous of her ability to run a music company better than him, and Jerrica is actually jealous of her own alter ego because of of the attention Jem receives that Jerrica can't get for her own accomplishments.
** Jem and the Holograms even have a song about it. [[Series/InLivingColor Like to hear it?]] [[http://youtu.be/mCtBUN6K5uw Here you go!]]
* Heloise on ''WesternAnimation/JimmyTwoShoes'' gets extremly hostile over [[FriendVersusLover Beezy's friendship with Jimmy]], which often results in episodes of her doing terrible things. For that matter, any supposed instance of Jimmy showing attention to anyone but her can lead to trouble. There was even a role reversal in one episode where Heloise managed to make Jimmy jealous, despite being ObliviousToLove.
* Alexandra's reason for wanting to be the lead singer of ''WesternAnimation/JosieAndThePussycats'' is jealousy of Josie, both because of her musical success and the fact that Alan has eyes only for her.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Kaeloo}}'':
** Mr. Cat is extremely jealous of [[TheAce Quack Quack]], because the latter is far more talented than he is, which results in him always being in second place, and because Kaeloo seems to have a closer relationship with Quack Quack than she does with him.
** Pretty, the show's AlphaBitch, gets jealous of Kaeloo whenever she gets something cool that Pretty doesn't have. And this doesn't just apply to Kaeloo - Pretty once called a random TV star a "bitch" because she was more beautiful than her. Bonus points for the fact that Pretty actually has green eyes.
* ''WesternAnimation/KimPossible'': The titular character gets jealous over her best friend and eventual boyfriend Ron at almost the drop of a hat. She also gets jealous when he becomes good friends with Felix in "[[Recap/KimPossibleS3E1StealWheels Steal Wheels]]," and gets very angry over the time he and Bonnie spend together in "[[Recap/KimPossibleS4E18HomecomingUpset Homecoming Upset]]" - a lot more justified that time, however, as they were dating at that point and Bonnie was doing everything in her power to rub it in. To her credit, she manages to direct almost all her anger at Bonnie and not Ron.
* In ''WesternAnimation/MiraculousLadybug'', the protagonists are quite possessive of each other despite not actually being in a relationship. Bonus points for [[Characters/MiraculousLadybugAdrienAgreste Adrien/Chat Noir]] actually having green eyes. The "Volpina" episode has an {{Aesop}} about it when [[Characters/MiraculousLadybugMarinetteDupainCheng Ladybug's]] excessive cruelty towards one of her "rivals" renders the girl vulnerable to Hawkmoth's brainwashing.
* ''WesternAnimation/MyLifeAsATeenageRobot'': XJ-6 is jealous of anyone getting more attention of her, but most of her jealousy is directed towards Jenny however. Bonus points for her actually being green.
* ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'':
** [[Characters/FriendshipIsMagicPrincessLuna Princess Luna]] transformed into Nightmare Moon because she was jealous of all the attention her sister Celestia received. After being banished for a thousand years, she is finally cleansed of her evil and jealousy by the Elements of Harmony and makes amends with her sister.
** Trixie is implied to be this towards Twilight Sparkle. Confirmed in "[[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS6E6NoSecondPrances No Second Prances]]" when she admits it to Starlight Glimmer.
** [[Characters/FriendshipIsMagicRarity Rarity]] also suffers from this when Fluttershy becomes a famous model in the episode fittingly titled "[[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS1E20GreenIsntYourColor Green Isn't Your Color]]." In an interesting handling of this trope, Rarity is actually very disappointed in herself for being jealous of her friend's success.
** [[Characters/FriendshipIsMagicSpike Spike]] gets this towards Owlowiscious in "[[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS1E24OwlsWellThatEndsWell Owl's Well That Ends Well]]," thinking Twilight has replaced him as her assistant. It turns out she only got Owlowiscious so Spike could finally have a break from all his hard work.
** Everyone thinks Twilight is this in the second season finale, "[[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS2E25ACanterlotWeddingPart1 A Canterlot Wedding]]," when she begins accusing her brother's fiancee of being evil due to her {{Bridezilla}} behavior. [[spoiler:It turns out Twilight is RightForTheWrongReasons.]]
** Sweetie Belle gets a bad case of this in "[[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS4E20ForWhomTheSweetieBelleToils For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils]]." Her resentment over Rarity "stealing" the spotlight is serious enough that Princess Luna feels compelled to help her get over it. Luna even mentions that she's been where Sweetie Belle is.
** [[Characters/FriendshipIsMagicDiscord Discord]] becomes one in "[[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS5E7MakeNewFriendsButKeepDiscord Make New Friends but Keep Discord]]" after learning that Fluttershy has invited a new friend to the Grand Galloping Gala instead of him. His eyes even erupt into green flames when he spots Fluttershy's hoof on said new friend's shoulder, becoming a quite literal example of this trope.
** Implied to be one of [[Characters/FriendshipIsMagicStarlightGlimmer Starlight Glimmer's]] motivations in the 2-parter episode "[[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS5E1TheCutieMapPart1 The Cutie]] [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS5E2TheCutieMapPart2 Map]]." Later confirmed in the "[[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS5E25TheCutieRemarkPart1 The Cutie]] [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS5E26TheCutieRemarkPart2 Remark]]", but what Starlight is jealous of isn't the Mane 6, [[spoiler:but real friendships based on differences like theirs remaining strong, while her ''own'' friendship fell apart ''because'' of a difference]].
** [[Characters/FriendshipIsMagicTwilightSparkle Twilight Sparkle]] suffers this in "[[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS5E22WhatAboutDiscord What About Discord?]]" when Discord pranks Twilight into thinking that the rest of the Mane Six had fun with him while she was away. Spike tries to tell her it's okay to not be involved in anything and Twilight tries to say that, as the Princess of Friendship, she should be above such notions, but she isn't.
* In the ''WesternAnimation/PAWPatrol'' episode "Mission PAW: Pups Save a Floating Royal Carriage", Sid Swashbuckle becomes visibly and vocally distressed at the idea that his first mate Arrby would pick the royal pup Sweetie over him, and throughout the episode, he and Sweetie both compete for Arrby's loyalty. In the end, while Arrby is offered the title of Sweetie's royal puppy playmate, he chooses to go back to his captain.
* Often a major reason for Bluto going after ComicStrip/{{Popeye}} the sailor usually does a better job fixing/building something than his big rival. Occasionally inverted, but a dose of spinach always lets Popeye win the final round.
* The early 2000s specials featuring ''Toys/PollyPocket'' feature [[CanonForeigner Beth]], her ArchNemesis who is jealous of Polly because she's the most popular student in school, and is always trying to outshine her. Bonus points for her literally having green eyes.
* Princess Morbucks from ''WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls1998'' became a supervillain because she was jealous of the Powerpuff Girls' popularity and their superpowers, especially since they wouldn't let her [[TheTeamWannabe join their team]] just because she wanted to have superpowers like them, since it was something someone else had that she doesn't have. ("If I can't be a Powerpuff Girl, then there won't be any Powerpuff Girls!"). In "[[Recap/ThePowerpuffGirlsS4EP5 Superfriends]]", she becomes jealous of Robin, who has become the Girls' best friend, [[IJustWantToHaveFriends the only thing the]] SpoiledBrat has ever wanted but could never have. ("Why would the Powerpuff Girls want to hang out with you when they could be friends with me?!...")
* In ''WesternAnimation/PuffTheMagicDragon'', Puff tells Jackie that the mean-looking clouds overhead are jealous of the stars, because the stars can fly so much higher than they can. As fate would have it, a falling star lands in their boat, and the clouds all have an EvilLaugh; Puff looks at them in disgust, saying, "They're so happy when a star dies." (She's not dead yet, though, and they can still save her.)
* ''WesternAnimation/QuackPack'': In "Snow Place to Hide" [[WesternAnimation/DaisyDuck Daisy]] warns [[WesternAnimation/DonaldDuck Donald]] of this notion and an [[HelpfulHallucination imaginary being]] calling itself the Green Eyed Monster of Jealousy (taking the form of a green eyed wolf in a green zoot suit) spends the episode goading Donald into thinking that Daisy is using a trip to a [[SkiResortEpisode ski resort]] to cheat on him with a co-worker.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Rahan}}'':
** Enok is jealous of Rahan for his skill in battle and his closeness to Noama. He also becomes jealous of Darrow after he and Noama wedded. This jealousy eventually leads to his FaceHeelTurn.
** In episode 18, Noama is jealous of Rahan's attention to everyone else, especially Tetya.
* ''WesternAnimation/ReadyJetGo'':
** In the episode "[[Recap/ReadyJetGoS1E9AKidsGuideToMarsJet2 Jet 2]]", Jet gets jealous of his robot clone, Jet 2, because Sean and Sydney are playing with the robot and not the real Jet.
** In "[[Recap/ReadyJetGoBackToBortron7 Back to Bortron 7]]", Face 9000 is salty over the fact that the Propulsions are using the [=PowerCube=] for their big presentation and not him.
* ''WesternAnimation/RickAndMorty'':
** [[Characters/RickAndMortyRickSanchez Rick Sanchez]] tries to deny it, but Rick gets incredibly jealous whenever his grandchildren show preference to anybody else over him. For instance, in "[[Recap/RickAndMortyS1E9SomethingRickedThisWayComes Something Ricked This Way Comes]]", when Summer starts working for Mr. Needful (who is actually {{Satan}}) and looks up to him as a CoolOldGuy, Rick promptly sets up a shop right across the street from Needful's in order to destroy his business.
*** When Morty expresses admiration for The Vindicators, Rick goes out of his way to tear them down and prove they're all just a bunch of assholes. He even admits he hates how much Morty respects them.
** [[BigBad Rick Prime]] is shown to be this; having been the first version of Rick to develop Portal Technology and used it as a means of [[AwfulWeddedLife getting away from his wife Diane Sanchez]], only to come across other versions of himself who instead of being [[TheHedonist unmitigated narcissistic assholes]] like he was, were all instead HappilyMarried to their own Dianes and glad living relatively simple quiet lives being fathers raising their Beths, including the only other Rick who had actually invented Portal Travel: Rick C-137. [[spoiler:After having killed C-137's family, Rick Prime would then [[TheBluebeard kill his own Diane Sanchez]] in a way that managed to also kill ''EVERY SINGLE VERSION'' of Diane Sanchez throughout the entire Multiverse: just to spite the other Ricks for being happy.]]
* ''WesternAnimation/SheRaAndThePrincessesOfPower'': '''[[Characters/SheRaAndThePrincessesOfPowerCatra Catra]]'''. She was always a bit jealous of Adora, who was [[AbusiveParent Shadow Weaver's]] favoured child while Catra was TheUnfavourite. Then Adora left to join the Rebellion, and Shadow Weaver continued to be more interested in Adora than Catra, causing her to get more and more envious. By the third season, when Shadow Weaver has seemingly offered Catra a scrap of affection [[JerkWithAHeartOfJerk as part of a plan to escape]], then immediately defected to the Resistance to once again get close to Adora, Catra becomes so obsessed with ensuring Adora doesn't win that she hurts everyone around her, burns every bridge she has, and [[spoiler:attempts to literally destroy the entire world because Adora wants to save it]].
* ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons''
** The [[BrokenBase infamous]] Frank Grimes comes across as this. Homer ''did'' get him in trouble with Burns, but Grimes' quest to destroy Homer's life came after Homer tried to make it up to him by inviting him to his house for dinner. Seeing his big house and family only made Grimes even more bitter.
** Subverted with [[spoiler: Cecil Terwilliger]]. [[spoiler: It seemed like he wanted to kill his brother for having been chosen as Krusty's sidekick]] but he just really wanted the money.
* ''WesternAnimation/SofiaTheFirst'':
** After Sofia becomes a princess, her stepsister Amber is jealous over her getting all the attention at the castle and her new RoyalSchool, so she sabotages her dance lesson as revenge. She eventually warms up to her later on, and embraces her as a true sister. However, jealousy happens to be Amber's FatalFlaw, and [[DependingOnTheWriter depending on what goes on in an episode]], she can still be jealous of Sofia and will do whatever it takes to get what she wants without thinking about how it'll affect someone, specifically Sofia. Seeing the consequences of her actions is all it takes to make Amber [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone truly regret what she did]] to make the problem happen in the first place.
** In "[[Recap/SofiaTheFirstS2E27CarolOfTheArrow Carol of the Arrow]]", Carol's [[NumberTwo second-in-command]] Jane becomes this to Sofia, even on more levels than Amber was, fearing that all the attention she's getting will replace her, so she constantly sabotages Sofia's chances to get into the band. Like Amber however, she had to drop her jealousy to help Sofia save a baby raccoon and apologizes for her behavior.
* ''WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants'':
** There's little doubt that most of [[Characters/SpongeBobSquarePantsSquidwardTentacles Squidward Tentacles]]'s hostility towards [=SpongeBob=] is displaced envy; for all his [[SmallNameBigEgo posturing]] and [[InferioritySuperiorityComplex disdain]], he is GiftedlyBad with HighHopesZeroTalent and envies [=SpongeBob=]'s [[TheAce natural genius and gift for the arts]]. Plankton, meanwhile, is a more blatant example, dedicating his life to stealing the Krabby Patty Secret Formula rather than, erm, dedicating his EvilGenius talents towards ''[[CutLexLuthorACheck actually making good food]]''. Patrick, at his most [[ToxicFriendInfluence toxic]], also shows signs of this whenever he wants something that [=SpongeBob=] has.
** [[Characters/SpongeBobSquarePantsTitularCharacter SpongeBob]] himself became this to Patrick in "[[Recap/SpongeBobSquarePantsS4E17DrivenToTearsRuleOfDumb Driven to Tears]]" when he is gifted an experienced boat for being the 1000th person to pass the road test, and begins rubbing his victory in the sponge's face at every turn. When it gets the better of him and he admits his jealousy, Patrick chews him out for not being happy for him getting his license and rubs it in his face literally, prompting the sponge to rip up the license in rage. This causes Patrick to be suspected of littering and arrested, forcing [=SpongeBob=] to admit his guilt and apologize, taking the debt to society in his place.
** In the episode "[[Recap/SpongeBobSquarePantsS7E5KeepBikiniBottomBeautifulAPalForGary A Pal For Gary]]", [=SpongeBob=] assumes Gary is jealous over lack of attention after believing he caused the damage to his library.
* ''WesternAnimation/StarVsTheForcesOfEvil'':
** In the second season, [[Characters/StarVsTheForcesOfEvilStarButterfly Star Butterfly]] unknowingly gets a crush on Marco, and starts showing signs of jealousy whenever he's with Jackie. Interestingly, [[WhyCantIHateYou she remains on good terms with Jackie]], even letting her go out to a concert with her and Marco, [[spoiler: although she destroys a sign [[StepfordSmiler whilst smiling]] after she finds herself AloneAmongTheCouples]].
** In the third season, Jackie breaks up with [[Characters/StarVsTheForcesOfEvilMarcoDiaz Marco Diaz]] around the same time that Star gets back together with Tom, [[UnrequitedLoveSwitcheroo and Marco soon realises that he now has a crush on Star]]. As a result, he starts acting more bitter towards Tom, despite having befriended him in the previous season.
* ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse'': [[Characters/StevenUniversePearl Pearl]], a valued member of the Crystal Gems, quickly turns insecure and envious when she feels left out. It is a character flaw she gradually confronts and deals with.
** In "[[Recap/StevenUniverseS1E20CoachSteven Coach Steven]]," Pearl is uncomfortable as Garnet and Amethyst do a FusionDance to become Sugilite, and even more so when Steven admires Sugilite's strength.
---> '''Pearl:''' ''[singing]'' And can't you see that she's out of control and overzealous? \
I'm telling you for your own good, and not because I'm... ''[[SubvertedRhymeEveryTime [blushes]]]''
** It is gradually revealed that Pearl's feelings toward Rose Quartz were not merely UndyingLoyalty, but overwhelming love. Several {{Whole Episode Flashback}}s show that, as romance blossoms between Rose and Greg, Pearl seems worried that she's being replaced as the object of Rose's attention and affection. In "[[Recap/StevenUniverseS2E12WeNeedToTalk We Need To Talk]]," she is downright rude to Greg and dismissive of the relationship. She taunts him for his inability to fuse and promises that Rose will soon get bored of him, just like she's done with [[MayflyDecemberRomance plenty of other men]]. As Greg proves her wrong and grows even closer to Rose, Pearl is depressed.
** In "[[Recap/StevenUniverseS3E8MrGreg Mr. Greg]]," Pearl confronts her insecurity directly. Steven convinces Pearl and Greg to go on a vacation together, even after Greg admits that things have always been awkward between them. In a mournful TorchSong, Pearl declares she feels not only grief but a LossOfIdentity without Rose beside her. Steven encourages the two to talk, knowing they have more in common than they think. They both loved the same woman, and they both feel the same sadness over losing her.
---> '''Greg:''' Look, if I were you, I'd hate me too.\
'''Pearl:''' I [[WhyCantIHateYou don't hate you]].\
'''Greg:''' But... I knew how you felt about Rose, and I stayed anyway.\
'''Pearl:''' That wasn't the problem... she fell in love with you.\
'''Greg:''' Well, you know Rose...\
'''Both:''' She always did what she wanted. ''[laughing]''
* In ''WesternAnimation/SuperRobotMonkeyTeamHyperforceGo'', [[BelligerentSexualTension Sprx and Nova]] get rather jealous when the other shows attraction for a member of the opposite sex.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Teen Titans|2003}}'':
** In "[[Recap/TeenTitansS2E6DateWithDestiny Date With Destiny]]'', Starfire becomes something of a {{Yandere}} once she finds out that Robin is taking a bratty DaddysGirl to her prom (as part of the BigBad's blackmail).
** Robin also becomes rather green-eyed over Starfire when she's getting married in "[[Recap/TeenTitansS3E3Betrothed Betrothed]]." Cyborg explicitly teases the boy about it, saying, "You sure you're not just, y'know... ''jealous?''"
* Tygra from ''WesternAnimation/{{Thundercats 2011}}'' seems to have been suffering this for a long time, in regards to his little brother Lion-O. This is both for Lion-o being heir despite Tygra being seen as the better one and for him supposedly having the affections of Cheetara. Later, it's revealed that Cheetara always liked Tygra and Lion-O is happy for them (though he chastised Cheetara for her HandsOnApproach in advising and helping him).
* An episode of ''WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventures'' had this as its [[AnAesop Aesop]], but the characters don't realize that the warning about a Green-Eyed Monster isn't talking about a ''literal'' monster until the very end.
* Thrust, one of Starscream's clones in ''WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated'', embodies his creator's envy. This is appropriate, as he's the only clone who doesn't appear in the cartoon or the toyline - he only showed up for the second [[AllThereInTheManual Allspark Almanac]].
* Dez from ''WesternAnimation/{{Wishfart}}'' is generally a dorky NiceGuy, but he often lets his envy get the better of him. A good example of this is "In Your Face, Wishpower!", in which he tries to prevent his crush Tsuni from going on a movie date with Neptune after Tsuni wished from him to be able to see a special movie screening with someone. In the end, Dez does let Tsuni go with Neptune (though Tsuni invites him to join anyway), but remains frustrated at things not turning out his way.
* ''WesternAnimation/YogisGang'': The Envy Brothers. They want to take over the circus where they work because they're envious of their boss for owning it and try to accomplish it by using a ring to make everyone envious. Bonus points for wearing green and making their victims' eyeballs green. When that fails, they try to go to outer space because they're envious of astronauts for doing so.
