[[AC: Both Games]]
* Let's be honest, watching whomever you're helping getting literally fired up by your Ouendan at the start of each phase in a mission is likely going to make them look ''funny''.
* In the tutorials, you have Kai overlooking the Ouendan on the DS's top screen as you practice tapping with the beats. His expressions change with how well you do, and they're actually pretty funny, from a strained, annoyed look if you do badly, to shouting his praises in an over-the-top manner.
** Closing the DS during the tutorial will cause him to berate you for sleeping through training before kicking you back to the title screen, too.
* The opening sequence for the cheerleaders depicts a Goofus and Gallant for most of them with Aoi/Honoka being the ButtMonkey/amateur while Anna/Reika being TheAce at everything she does. If they had their own games you can tell which difficulty would each girl represent.
* As clients wind up for the big "OUENDAAAAAN!" SkywardScream, there are some variants that will get a laugh or two.
** "One Night Carnival" in the first game concerns a violin player plagued by stomach complaints on the day of a big performance. Desperate, he gears up to call the Ouendan just like any other... except his stomach cramps are so bad that, instead of the usual "OUENDAAAAN!" scream, all that he manages is a weak, strained "Ouen...da...n...".
** For "Real Life Real Heart" in the second game, Yuria and Kaoruko call the Ouendan for help by ''singing''.
** "Shonen Heart" in the second game sees the elderly Momotaro shout so hard his dentures pop out of his mouth!
** The werewolf in "Kibun Joujou" of the second game transforms mid-scream so it's interrupted by his howling.

[[AC: Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan]]
* The potter from "Kokoro Odoru" does a number of crazy things to try and find inspiration, from taking a dance aerobics class to spinning records at a night club. Do well, and it's CrazyEnoughToWork.
* In the "Taiyō ga Moeteiru" stage, the giant mouse tries to distract Ichirou/Salary-Man by [[MyCard offering to exchange business cards]]. If you fail that section of the stage, Ichirou falls for it and gets sucker-punched while searching his pockets; if you succeed, he does a DoubleTake and punches the giant mouse.
** The end of that stage has a funny moment too, if you know Japanese (or look up the translations online). Ichirou begins walking away after the fight, and his daughter asks him where he's going now that he's so big. Ichirou's response? "To work, of course!" (Which can be interpreted two ways: Either he's such a dedicated employee that even when he's huge, work is still the most important thing to him... or he's going to get some SERIOUS stress-relief from his crappy job. Given how depressed he is at the beginning, and how happy he looks when he announces that, it's most likely the second thing.)
* Do badly in "Neraiuchi", and Cleopatra's slaves will [[BlackComedy die hilariously gruesome deaths]]. A drought going on? She reduces them to literal skeletons thanks to the power of the sun. Them being stranded on a bit of land during a flood? She drowns them all with the power of rain!

[[AC:Moero! Nekettsu Rhtyhm Damashii: Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2]]
* If you fail all scenes of a stage but still clear it, you get a special ending that sours the mood, and the cheerleaders reacts with either silent disappointment or annoyance.
** In "Shounen Heart", the elderly Momotarou joins forces with the oni to refurbish their island into a theme park... but not all is good as the oni scare the visiting children.
** In "Glamorous Sky", Masashi's confession [[MomentKiller gets interrupted by Tan Yao's motorbike passing by]]. He and his friends are not pleased.
** In "Music Hour", Jin is rescued by the three women you're cheering, but instead of being grateful for saving his life, [[AbhorrentAdmirer they creep him out]] and he flees.
** In "Zoku", the HumongousMecha defeats the giant cat and is hailed as a hero... but 1 year later, the three engineers you were cheering on are still working to [[DestructiveSavior pay for the damages]].
* In the scene before the Ouendan start cheering in "Okoru Kotoba", they're in the middle of sharing a large bowl of chankonabe (a type of stew usually served in a large pot or bowl and is traditionally eaten by sumo wrestlers) as they realise it's time to start cheering. For instance, Aoi has dropped her bowl, Hajime is trying not to drop his food, Ryuuta bites his chopsticks out of irritation that his meal's interrupted. As for Kai? He picks up the larger bowl and attempts to shove all its contents into his mouth!
** If you fail on any Yuuhi squad level on Easy, the game will give you a second chance to keep playing, but not before showing you Kai scarfing down another bowl of food!
* In the intro to "Vista", if you're playing on Hard, Kaoru's certainly enjoying the zero-gravity experience, being upside-down on the title cut.
* The title cut intro for "Rirura Riruha" on Easy mode has a completely confused-looking Shinta awkwardly poking at the keys on a piano. It's especially funny in comparison to Hayato and Kaoru, who are completely hamming it up while playing in their intros for the stage.
* In the cutscene before "Believe" is unlocked, the Yuuhi Ouendan are in the middle of taking a walk in the rain when they see the leader of the Asahi Ouendan using their own umbrella to shelter a seemingly abandoned animal in an old orange box. It's a [[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments minor moment of heartwarming]] if you're seeing Shinta or Hayato smiling at a cat or Rin petting a rabbit. However, if you see this cutscene on Hard mode, you'll see Kaoru smiling softly... at the bear that you helped the woman in "Go My Way" kick out from the hot springs.
** On that topic, glance the top screen during the second segment of "Go My Way" and witness Kaede wrestling said bear in action.
* The openings for "Julia ni Shoshin" (aka the hairdressing level) on Easy to Hard Mode.
** On Easy, Hajime takes off his hat to remind the players that he shaved his head.
** On Normal, Ryuuta is combing his hair ''really'' intensely.
** On Hard, Kai refuses to take off his hat and gives a DeathGlare to the player.
* The presence of plumbers suspiciously similar to the [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Mario Brothers]] in "Bambina". If you perform poorly during these segments, they even jump around with the accompanying sound effect!
* The page picture is a scene from "Kibun no Jojo", where a werewolf whose transformations trigger in response to ''anything'' round tries to get close to the girl he loves. One of his transformations is almost triggered by a foul ball... so, being a canine, he ''catches it in his teeth''. And what finally reveals his secret to the girl? '''''Her eyes.'''''
* In the final stage if you fail the song, despite how the world is entering a new Ice Age, the members of Ouendan were surprisingly happy despite becoming [[HumanPopsicle frozen]].
* If you have EBA Mode and set the difficulty level below the hardest one, the option to turn the mode on is nothing more than a SillinessSwitch that turns the 3-D Ouendan on the touch screen into the VideoGame/EliteBeatAgents. Anyone who's seen them before in their native game will know that something's VERY funky about how they dance in ''Ouendan 2''.
