!!Fridge Brilliance
* Sunset being a gamer makes some sense if you remember a study that showed playing video games helped with hand-eye coordination. Having been a pony for most of her life, Sunset would need all the hand practice she can get.
** It is also possible she had picked up gaming between the first and second movies as a means to help cope with the stress and guilt she had faced over her previous actions and to channel her temper in a more healthier manner.
* It makes sense for the girls' powers to be an OpenSecret. With CHS having been attacked by magical beings ''three times''[[note]]Not counting what happened at Camp Everfree since not everybody at the school was there[[/note]] and the girls saving the school with magic all those times, what would be the point? In fact, the school being aware of their powers would actually be ''beneficial'', since it guarantees to both students and teachers that, if something like that ever happens again, the girls will be ready to save the school.
* A bit of possible fridge tearjerker concerning Flash being a part of the Chemistry club. He most likely joined the club as a way to get closer to Human Twilight only to later find out that it wouldn’t work. Although, on a brighter note, the fact that he’s still in a club with Human Twilight could possibly mean he's somewhat moved on or at least now has a stable friendship with this Twilight.
* Sunset is usually the most mature, yet she has no trouble believing a sea monster could roam in "Unsolved Selfie Mysteries", while Twilight is skeptical. Of course, Sunset is from Equestria, where sea monsters are a much more realistic possibility.
** This could also explain why Sunset appeared excited at the possibility of the supposed "sea monster" being real. It must bring some memories from her home.
* The background students at CHS now include a few faces that were Crystal Prep Shadowbolts earlier. In retrospect, Principal Cinch's fall from grace isn't so surprising since, in addition to tying at the Friendship Games and endangering students, there has been a few defections among the Crystal Prep ranks (in addition to her best student, Twilight Sparkle). That sure couldn't have helped her "reputation" before the school board. Her replacement by Dean Cadance was bound to happen.
* Timber hiding behind Twilight in “Unsolved Selfie Mysteries” can make a bit of sense considering his girlfriend is capable of transforming into a MagicalGirl and can fight back against monsters. Timber, however, is a normal human whose first experience trying to fight back against a magical monster was a total failure as he couldn’t even slow them down.
* It actually makes a lot of sense that Sunset is the one to point out Twilight could have just asked Timber what his emojis mean. Since she comes from a world where emojis haven't been invented, she most likely had troubles understanding them herself at first and had to ask people (or, most likely, demand to others to tell her) what they meant.
* It's actually possible (and plausible) that Rarity's one-person-and-one-pig club was founded for the sole purpose of teaching Applejack and Rainbow Dash a lesson about getting too competitive.
* Sunset's pony roots also explains why she had to take as many driving tests as she did. There are no cars in Equestria, so she had no idea about how to use one until she came to the Human world. And, having been friendless most of her time there, everything she could know about driving had to come from either books or by observing, which wouldn't help her know how hard she has to hit the brake or throttle.
* Fridge Heartwarming: When Pinkie Pie sees a Crystal Pep sports team depressed while at work, she not only gives them some nachos, but takes Rainbow so she can give them a pep talk, which she does without problem. While Pinkie being nice to them is not that shocking, the fact that ''Rainbow Dash'', who is not only quite competitive, but also has no reasons to be friendly to them given that (as far as she knew) they could have been among Sci-Twi's bullies. It speaks volumes to how much the relationship between both schools improved.
* Sunset's ending in "The Last Drop" has Sunset playing a videogame in which she rides a unicorn. Now, what was Sunset's pony race back in Equestria?
** In fact, DJ Pon-3's choice may have been intentional. By this point everybody at CHS knows that Sunset comes from Equestria. She may have told them that she was an unicorn there and DJ Pon-3 may have added that as a way for Sunset to remember her birthplace.
* "Costume Conundrum":
** Of course Applejack would want Sunset Shimmer to wear the pony costume with her! Sunset ''is'' a pony from Equestria after all.
*** And why Sunset declined the offer? Her reaction to the costume at the party makes it clear: She was jarred by it.
*** But why was Sunset jarred by the costume? It probably gave her an unsettling mental image: somebody wearing her species' skin!
** Fluttershy was the only one playing video games, even through Sunset is an avid gamer. However, this makes sense when you notice that the video game Fluttershy is playing is the same one she and Sunset played in "Game Stream", and the troubles Sunset went while trying to play.
** While people do laugh when Bulk Biceps mistakes Fluttershy with a monster, nobody actively mocks him. Considering the events throughout the ''Equestria Girls'' movies, they probably see him mistaking her for a monster as quite logical.
** Why would Sunset have horse shoes if they are of no use for her in the human world? Well, as a pony, they probably serve as a way to remember her home.
* There's another reason as of why Fluttershy's ending in "Lost and Pound" was the shortest aside from her powers. Unlike Rarity or Spike, she had no trouble with her clothes getting dirty with mud nor wanted to have some time with Princess Thunder Guts, so she had no problem on asking her where her owner is.

!!Fridge Horror
* Sunset (and very likely her friends) may not be fans of ''Tirek's Revenge'' if they ever found out that Tirek is real, went on a rampage through Equestria before being defeated, and is currently in Tartarus, awaiting his chance to escape again.
** Especially considering that it was Celestia who helped prolong Tirek's revenge by sending in Discord alone and insisting Twilight doesn't rely on her friends.
* In "School of Rock", an alicorn skeleton can be seen at the museum. But, what does this mean? Was this world once inhabited by ponies until they went extinct and humanity arose? Or did an alicorn princesses accidentally got transported to the human world in the prehistoric period while the portal was being worked on... and never returned?
* As if magic turning a poor individual into an insane monster wasn't bad enough, "My Little Shop of Horrors" shows it's also possible to unknowingly obtain an enchanted object that could cause a lot of trouble if used.
* Pinkie Pie's magic got strong enough to affect the sugar inside an apple, so what would happen if Pinkie tried tossing a person? Like a child or a cheerleader? Would her magic have affected the sugar in their bodies and make it explode?
** Presumably when working on her magic, she will eventually learn how to also de-charge things. So if she accidentally charges a person with her magic, she could hopefully remove the energy before something bad happens.
** Furthermore, said apple explosion happened during a surge in magical powers, so Pinkie might not be able to replicate such behavior during normal operation.
* Trixie had no troubles with trying the "cut-in-a-half" trick with Spike. Normally, there would be no trouble with this... except that there were no fake legs or another dog in the box too. Was Trixie going to try to cut him in a half for real? And, to make things worse, Spike actively voiced his fear, yet she didn't cared.
** This also bring another scary thought to mind, has Trixie ever tried a potentially dangerous trick on somebody else before?
