2	* Terra being a lion tamer at the Agate Circus doesn't make much sense at first, considering her attire and personality make her seem like more of a clown. However, remember that the two Pokemon evolutionary lines that are based off lions- the Shinx line and the Litleo line- are Electric-type and Normal/Fire-type, respectively. Both of these types are weak to Ground-type attacks. [[DishingOutDirt Now, what type does Terra specialize in again?]]
3	* While it’s entirely in-character for her to pick a Fighting type, Victoria may have chosen Tepig/Emboar because it was the only Fire-type starter Cal didn’t have on his team during his time at Apophyll (at least, by Episode 15).
4	* During your battles with [[spoiler: him]] during the Amertine Mountain events, [[spoiler: Cal]] has a Pokemon that breaks [[spoiler: his]] type theme: a Medicham. [[spoiler: Considering that he was forced to kill Kiki's Medicham and deeply regrets doing so, this is both SugarWiki/{{heartwarming\|Moments}} and [[TearJerker tragic]]. It later becomes solely the former because it is revealed that that Medicham is Kiki’s; Cal saved it.]]
5	* When you meet Cain at Radomus' Gym, he says that since using a mono-[[PoisonousPerson Poison]] team against a [[MindOverMatter Psychic Gym]] was a bad idea, so he switched up his team a little. When you fight him shortly afterwards, he uses a Galvantula and an Absol (or a Mega Beedrill and a Zoroark, if you're playing Pokemon Reborn Hardcore). Galvantula and Mega Beedrill are [[BigCreepyCrawlies Bug-types,]] and Absol and Zoroark are [[CastingAShadow Dark-types]] - two of the three types that Psychic is weak against. Cain changed up his team to cover his psychic weakness, just like a skilled player might have at this point!
6	* Why is Crobat the [[UndyingLoyalty last]] of Corey's Pokémon to leave him when he releases them all? Because its pre-evolution, Golbat, [[ThePowerOfFriendship only evolves when it reaches high enough friendship with its trainer]].
7	* When you explore the Tourmaline Desert in Episode 17, if you explore near the wall separating the desert from Reborn City, you'll find six Pokeballs, one of which is hidden under the sand as a hidden item. Seems kind of odd, considering that by this point in the game basic Pokeballs are too weak to be very viable... [[RewatchBonus then you replay the game]] and get to [[spoiler:Corey's suicide]]. Right before [[spoiler:Corey jumps off the Beryl Bridge to his death]], he throws his Pokeballs off the bridge into the desert. Those six Pokeballs you find in the desert? They're his.
8	* When you fight Amaria, her [[BossSubtitles Boss Subtitle]] changes depending on the story branch you're on: if you're on the branch where [[spoiler:Titania stays with her]], her [[BossSubtitles Boss Subtitle]] is "Flotsam"; conversely, if you're on the branch where [[spoiler:she attempts to kill you due to thinking you're behind Titania leaving her, [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere prompting Titania to dump her for good]]]], her [[BossSubtitles Boss Subtitle]] is "Jetsam". Seems like simple water-type ThemeNaming at first... then you look at the definitions of each word:
9	** Flotsam is the wreckage of a ship and its cargo, found floating on the surface of the ocean. [[spoiler: Similarly, in this route, while Amaria's psyche is badly damaged, it's still salvageable.]]
10	** Jetsam are goods deliberately thrown overboard to improve a ship's stability. [[spoiler:In this route, Titania jettisoned Amaria from her life because Amaria's increasing instability was dragging Titania down with her.]]

13	* Shade has a Gengar named [[spoiler: Corey]]. [[spoiler: Shade was the one who cleaned up Corey's dead body. He was a Poison type leader, and Gengar's second type is also Poison, with the first being Ghost. The implications of this are... disturbing, to say the least.]]
14	* During [[spoiler: Ame’s death scene, she uses an Alolan Ninetales]]. If you examine [[spoiler: her body]] afterwards, it’s noted that [[spoiler: her Pokemon were taken]]. In the gym after the next one (which will most likely be a few hours of gameplay later, at the very least) the last gym trainer you fight [[spoiler: turns out to be Lin in disguise. The only Pokemon she uses? An Alolan Ninetales]].
15	* After her Gym battle, Saphira explains that most of her motivation to kill Dr Connal came from [[spoiler:him raping her while seemingly out of his mind with grief, and that he kept saying his dead sister's name. But it raises a lot of questions: was he drunk? Does he genuinely not remember? Was he genuinely overcome with grief for his dead sister? Did he think Saphira ''was'' his dead sister?]]
16	* A late game sidequest beautifully deconstructs the concept of Eeveelutions with a mistreated Sylveon, whose trainer forced her to evolve that way against her will, even though she wanted to become an Espeon. When you remember that a lot of gym leaders ''just happen'' to have Eeveelutions that match their type specialities, [[AlternateCharacterInterpretation it makes you wonder if they're much better than said trainer]].
17	* After you defeat Serra, who doesn't have much experience as a gym leader, she tells you to enjoy success while you can and acts even more glum than usual. Later, you find out Ame reassesses gym leaders she suspects may be unfit for the league. You've made Serra fear losing her career all over again.
