8	Clare Shannon (King) is a 17-year-old high school outcast whose father finds a mysterious music box that grants 7 wishes. Although skeptical at first, Clare soon finds out the music box does indeed have power. Naturally, she begins using it to gain her heart's desire. 76	* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Clare's father finds the music box in the garbage at the old estate and gives it to his daughter as a gift. A nice and thoughtful gesture to be sure, but in doing so, he unknowingly unleashes all of the carnage that is to follow.
77	* VillainousGlutton: While "villainous" is certainly a stretch, Clare's use of the music box is treated the same way as an addiction. Even when she suspects that it might be causing others harm and is advised to get rid of it by June, she holds onto it and continues to make wishes, which makes her indifferent at best. Near the end, she's outright behaving like a drug-addicted teen who can't see reason.
