!!''Di ingon 'nato'' provides the following tropes:
* {{Arcadia}}: The rural town itself is one.
* AnyoneCanDie: A literal example.
** First, it was [[spoiler: the farmer's wife]].
** [[spoiler: majority of the townspeople]].
** [[spoiler: Dario (the farmer) and the shaman as they try to kill countless infected only armed with ''bolos''.]]
** [[spoiler: Finally, Cap, who dies trying to protect his daughter and the now-deceased farmer's son. He dies because his rifle and Glock runs out of ammo.]]
** [[spoiler: If rescue does not come soon, then it is implied that the daughter and the son will be killed by the infected trying to breach the house.]]
* BolivianArmyEnding: The Dario's son and Cap's daughter remain trapped in a house [[spoiler: as the infected start to breach the barricades. It ends with a shot from the son's POV with Cap's daughter covering his eyes]].
* BoomHeadshot: Cap is able to score several headshots using his bolt-action rifle.
* BottomlessMagazines: Horribly averted. [[spoiler: Cap runs out of ammo for his rifle and pistol, which is the cause of his death in the hands of the infected horde]].
* DemonicPossession: It is blamed by the priest and the townspeople that the infected are "possessed" by evil spirits coming from the forest. Of course, they are completely unaware that it was caused by an unknown [[TheVirus a virus]].
* DeadWeight: A [[FatBastard fat]] zombie appears as one of the zombies in the ever increasing horde of infected. [[spoiler: It kills a group of young people who are doing a karaoke. Dario later tries to kill the same fat zombie but it tackles him to the ground as more infected pile up which causes Dario's death]].
* DevouredByTheHorde: Several townspeople.
** In the end, it happens to [[spoiler: Dario, a local shaman, and Cap himself]].
* DownerEnding: [[spoiler: Majority of the townspeople are turned into the infected. Dario, the shaman, and Cap himself are killed. The daughter and the farmer's son seek refugee in the house in which they barricade all the doors and window. By the time it happens, the infected are already breaking through the barricades and have surrounded the house with no means of escape. As the barricades begin to give way, the daughter covers the eyes of the farmer's son...]]
** [[spoiler: See also the FridgeHorror page: If the town was overrun, how long will it take for the infected to spread out to neighboring towns in search for new victims?]]
* GunsAreWorthless: Averted, except most of the users are unaware the quickest way to kill the infected is [[BoomHeadshot a shot to the head]]. They do, however, need more firepower as they only have a bolt-action rifle and 9mm Glock pistol.
* HeroicSacrifice: (see also LastStand/ HoldTheLine below). [[spoiler: It may have only delayed the inevitable since the infected knows Dario's son and Cap's daughter are hiding in the house and are slowly destroying the barricades around the house]].
* LastStand/ HoldTheLine: Cap, Dario, and the shaman try to hold off the infected with a small amount of guns and their ''bolos'' (machete) so the Cap's daughter and the farmer's son can seek refuge in nearby house. However, while they do manage to kill a lot of the infected, they get overrun. [[spoiler: The farmer and the other armed with the ''bolo'' is killed. Cap, after running out of ammunition for his bolt-action rifle, switches to his Glock pistol. He manages to kill several infected before his Glock runs out of ammo and is then killed by the horde]].
* MacheteMayhem: Dario and the shaman use ''bolos'' are their primary weapons effectively. Justified since most people in the rural Philippines have this kind of machete for farming purposes. [[spoiler: Despite dispatching several infected, the zombies greatly outnumber the two of them and as a result, are killed]].
* OhCrap: When the survivors try to escape the town using the Captain's vehicle, the engine breaks down. And a horde of infected are headed their way...
* PatientZero: One of the farmer's friends, [[spoiler: is the first zombie we see. He attacks his wife after she was doing laundry in a nearby water source]]. Although his mode-of-infection is unknown, it is heavily implied to have come from rabid stray dogs as numerous barks could be heard in the dark forest at night.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Cap and Dario the farmer.
* RemovingTheHeadOrDestroyingTheBrain: The only known way to kill the zombies/infected in this film.
* SceneryPorn: Establishing shots of the countryside (mountains, dirt trails, forests, waterfalls, etc.) show how undoubtedly beautiful rural Cebu is.
* TechnicallyLivingZombie: The zombies here are infected with some form of rabies. They behave like the infected seen in ''Film/TwentyEightDaysLater'' and ''VideoGame/Left4Dead''.
* TheVirus: Heavily implied to be some form of rabies as the victims foam from the mouth prior to coma.
* ZombieGait: The zombies in this film are running zombies. However, they are not undead and are the [[TechnicallyLivingZombie technically living zombies]] (see also above).
* ZombieInfectee: Several characters in the film.
