4	''A Kid from Tibet'' is a 1992 fantasy-martial arts epic starring Creator/YuenBiao, in his first, and only, directorial effort. Co-starring Creator/MichelleReis (''Film/FallenAngels''), Creator/NinaLiChi (Miss Jet Li), Biao's frequent collaborator Creator/YuenWah and Creator/JackieChan in an 8-second cameo, the film blends urban fantasy elements made popular by ''Film/{{Highlander}}'' released a year prior and mixes them with Hong Kong martial arts and over-the-top choreography, resulting in some... let's say, interesting results.

6	Yuen Biao plays Lo Ba Wong La (Wong La the practitioner), a protege of a Tibetan monastery sent to Hong Kong to find an enchanted artifact called the "Babu Gold Bottle", which Wong La had its cap and is tasked with uniting the cap and bottle before either falls into the wrong hands. But when the evil Black Section Cult, led by the Black Section Sorcerer (Yuen Wah) and his sister (Nina Li) also seeks the bottle, Wong La had to take them on in an epic battle.

8	While its a shame that Yuen Biao never get to fight Jet Li during the peak of his entire career, at least over here he gets to fight Jet Li's wife. Ehh, close enough, right?

13	* AccidentalPervert: Miss Miu often ends up assuming Wong La is being perverted due to his clumsiness and FishOutOfWater antics, such as his insistence to sleep in her bedroom (to protect her from assassins), him reaching into his robes to show her his "treasure" (which the bottle's cap, but she assumed he was going to show her his penis) or almost stripping her naked with TheNudifier cloth incident (his magic was sabotaged).
14	* AllMonksKnowKungFu: The entire sect of Tibetan monks are martial artists and kung fu fighters. Wong La being their volunteer on his quest to Hong Kong.

24	* ConspicuousTrenchcoat: The Sorcerer's Sister wears a trenchcoat while pursuing Wong La and Chiu in Hong Kong. While she still looks suspicious, it does attract far less attention than her HellBentForLeather outfit would have.
25	* CultureClash: Miss Chiu is a privileged woman from Hong Kong and has a hard time acclimatizing in Tibet, specifically with an eccentric Tibet monk like Wong La. Wong La has a similar experience when going to Hong Kong.

She uses this chance to hit him back and tie him up with her whip.

Much of the middle part of the movie is spent on Wong La bumbling in the big city while being dragged along by Miss Chiu, much to her embarrassment.

In his first scene, Mr. Bao arrives at the Tibetan temple while hobbling on his walking stick, but with Wong La sending his ''qi'' into Bao within seconds Bao is walking perfectly fine again.
33	* HoistHeroOverHead: The Black Section Sorcerer lifts Wong La over his head with both hands in their first one-on-one fight.
