4	* While Luz is canonically bisexual, some fans theorized her to be non-binary as well. Her somewhat androgynous appearance and her calling herself a "bad boy" in the Grom episode definitely helps. At the very least, [[https://twitter.com/korrasearth/status/1405258884990734336 Dana Terrace has stated that Luz is gender non-conforming]], but whether or not it goes beyond her simply not adhering to traditional gender roles is still up in the air.
5	* The idea that Eda could be bisexual too slowly gained traction over the show's run (i.e. the bisexual flag-colored sticker on her lunchbox), initially with fans that ship her with Camila. This view of Eda gained even more steam with the introduction of Raine, her nonbinary ex-lover.
6	* After "Wing It Like Witches" aired, headcanons (and fanfics) about Boscha having an unrequited crush on Amity popped up. With her behavior towards Amity in one of the show's penultimate episodes also helping cement this idea.
7	* A few fans theorized both Luz and Amity to be neurodivergent, with the former having ADHD (now officially AscendedFanon), and the latter being autistic.
8	** Similarly, [[https://twitter.com/GayGayHomosex12/status/1488659667215605760 many fans have noticed some autistic traits]] in Lilith, particularly during season 2.
9	* A very popular one about Amity during the first season was that she's adopted, as it would explain why she had brown hair as a child when her siblings have green hair, it would add on to the reasons for why her parents put so much pressure on her to succeed, and it matches with the song "Little Miss Perfect" (a song from an unrelated musical theater contest that the fandom would adopt as Amity's character song). However, this would be {{Jossed}} as early as "Young Blood, Old Souls", where the flashback of [[spoiler:Eda's curse forming]] showed a couple in the background, with the girl [[GenerationXerox bearing a striking resemblance to Amity]]. Her parents would later make their formal debut in the second season, where it is clear she got her looks from her mom, but her natural brown hair from her dad.
10	* Likewise, Emira and Edric both being gay like their younger sister is a very popular headcanon. Even more so to fans that ship them with [[ShipsThatPassInTheNight Viney and Hunter]] respectively. Emira is the only one of the twins to be shown flirting with someone of the same sex (when she first meets Luz and calls her a "cutie"), but "Through the Looking Glass Ruins" reveals that Edric has a crush who is referred to by Emira with gender-neutral pronouns, possibly making them non-binary.
11	* Most fic writers have Skara as bisexual, having an interest in the Bat Boy she went to Grom with before they break up and then developing an interest in Boscha, Willow, or (following "Any Sport in a Storm") Viney.
12	* With one of Willow's dads having a strong resemblance to her (and two female students from "Them's the Breaks, Kid" baring a strong resemblance to Boscha), a common fan theory is that there is a Healing Coven spell that allows same-sex couples to achieve HomosexualReproduction, this either being a service that the Healing Coven provides for any citizen who can afford it or is exclusive to Healing Coven members.
13	* Amity getting referred to as "Ami" as an AffectionateNickname by Willow (and others), as well as "Baby Blight" by Eda, was common in early fanfics. This would fade once the show gave her actual nicknames for fans to use (her family calls her "Mittens", while Eda calls her "Boots").
14	** As an extension, it is often believed that if Edric and Emira call Amity by her real name instead of by "Mittens", it must be a [[YouCalledMeXItMustBeSerious serious]] [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness matter]]. In canon, aside from one-off instances in "Lost in Language" and "Adventures in the Elements", they almost exclusively use her nickname no matter the situation.
15	* Many fans believe Luz acquired the EmbarrassingNickname, "Luzer", at some point in the human realm due to her social standing.
16	* There's a surprisingly large amount of fans who believe that Lilith has "The Raven Lady" as an InUniverseNickname, simply because it would allow her to be [[SiblingRivalry further compared]] to her sister Eda, who herself is titled "The Owl Lady".
17	* Amity and Lilith are often depicted as having a close, mother-daughter relationship, similar to Luz and Eda. This trend still continued even after Dana Terrace stated that they were distant from each other even while Lilith was mentoring Amity, and Amity [[BrokenPedestal lost respect for her after she cheated in the witch's duel]] anyway.
18	* A common interpretation to Luz's {{oblivious\|ToLove}}ness to Amity's painfully obvious crush on her is her belief (as told by the Blight twins in "Lost in Language") that Amity's face [[CrushBlush blushing]] means that she's angry. WordOfGod would state that Luz simply had too many things on her mind throughout season one to notice at the time.
19	* After [[WordOfGod Dana Terrace]] revealed that Amity's mother forces her to dye her hair so all the children will match, many fans started running with the idea that Odalia is the one in charge of the family and that Alador married into the Blights. "Clouds on the Horizon" confirmed the former, showing that Odalia is as controlling of Alador as she is of their children.
20	* Many people seem to accept the idea that witch ears move around like cat ears when they get emotional.
21	** There are also a lot of fan artists who draw witches all having large canines or fangs, leaning into that slightly cat like motif. This particular detail may also draw from a FreezeFrameBonus in "Hooty's Moving Hassle", where Gus's BucketList includes a point about losing his "baby fangs".
22	** Related to the cat-like theme, it's popular for witches to purr like cats; this is especially popular for Amity to do. Naturally, Luz will always find this adorable, awesome, or both.
23	* After concept art of [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/the-owl-house/images/9/90/Luz_earlydesign.png/revision/latest?cb=20200917014405 Luz]] and [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/the-owl-house/images/9/96/Amity_design.png/revision/latest?cb=20200917014254 Amity]] was revealed, in which they were depicted as older teens, people started running with the idea that Luz and Amity will have those designs themselves when they're older. The characters would go on to wear similar clothing in the third season.
24	* It's a common occurrence to depict Katya, the witch Luz sprang from the Conformatorium in the first episode and later joined the BAT's, to a half-Witch/half-Vampire hybrid.
25	* Lilith having been involved in a LoveTriangle with the Blight parents Odalia and Alador in her youth is a plot point idea that's slowly rising up in fanworks with her being attracted to/attracting either future Blight in equal measure.
26	** This is basically moot now since Lilith is confirmed to be aromantic, with her now being replaced with Darius, who's actually shown to have a friendship of sorts with both in the flashback of "Them's The Breaks, Kid", as Lilith doesn't even interact with Alador nor Odalia in the same episode.
27	* The idea that Viney has at least some degree of vision impairment (with the most popular interpretation being that she's outright blind) and Puddles is her seeing-eye companion animal sees ''insane'' popularity (probably in part because it emphasizes the cruelty of forcing her to pick one track as healing is clearly her passion but if Puddles is a service animal, she ''needs'' him around to function properly).
28	* While barely that much was shown about Luz's life back at home, specifically at her old school, many fans interpreted that Luz was harshly bullied by her classmates and that she has developed some self-esteem issues due to it. This very much makes her wanting to stay in the Boiling Isles a lot sadder and would go a long way to explain her obliviousness to Amity's feelings; WordOfGod would go on to state that her obliviousness towards Amity was due to being laser-focused on Eda's problems more than anything else.
29	** In that same vein, the Reality Check Summer Camp Luz was supposed to attend has been imagined to be much worse than it appears, probably because of its juxtaposition with the Conformatorium in the first episode. At its worst, some treated it as a euphemism for a [[CureYourGays Conversion Camp]]. Judging by what can be gleaned from [[spoiler:Vee's (as Luz) letters in "Enchanting Grom Fright" and her fellow campers introduced in "Yesterday's Lie"]] it's not anything more than a mundane, if dull and practicality-minded, summer camp.
30	* Many roll with the idea that Luz's favourite book series, ''The Good Witch Azura'', has a romantic relationship developing between the titular character and her rival Hecate to continue the parallels with Luz's own developing relationship with Amity and that Luz (obviously) ships it, which the show would confirm her as doing in "Follies at the Coven Day Parade".
31	* If the many ships for the series is any indication, most of the characters are headcanoned as being LGBT in one way or another. [[note]] Coincidentally, another Disney Channel show, ''Series/AndiMack'', has two canon gay characters, and also has multiple characters headcanoned as LGBT.[[/note]]
32	** Ironically, despite them being portrayed as homophobic in some fanfics, even Odalia and Alador are among the list of characters who are headcanoned, mostly when Lilith, and later on, Darius are involved though.
33	* Not even a ''day'' after his first full appearance, fans began to accept that the Golden Guard (who WordOfGod revealed is 16) and Belos share a(n often comical) parent/child relationship, if they're not ''already'' parent and child, as a sort of {{Foil}} between Luz and Eda. [[spoiler:The fans weren't too far off when "Hunting Palismen" reveals they're uncle and nephew]].
34	* Many fans have taken to the idea that Luz and Hunter, the Golden Guard, would have a [[LikeBrotherAndSister brother/sister dynamic]]. This idea grew massively after "Thanks to Them", which heavily focuses on the two and features a scene where Luz calls Hunter family: it's since become common to refer to Hunter as a Noceda, and many, ''many'' fanfics exist where Camila ends up adopting Hunter.
35	* Most fans assume that Hunter's scars are from Belos as a [[YouHaveFailedMe punishment for failure]] or angering him in some other way, since he attacks Hunter and inflicts a CloseCallHaircut when Hunter starts talking about studying wild magic.
36	* After Darius the Abomination Head demonstrated that he could enter a OneWingedAngel form by transforming his body into an abomination, the fandom quickly caught onto the idea that Amity would learn how to do that eventually to, much to [[NightmareFetishist Luz's]] delight.
37	* A lot of fans have jumped on the idea that, while they were dating, Odalia was just as much of an awkward, blushing mess around Alador as her daughter is around Luz.
38	* Darius calling Alador a hack in "Eda's Requiem" naturally led fans to assuming there's a rivalry between the two, but some have interpreted Darius as an UnknownRival who's constantly obsessed with one-upping Alador while Alador himself either [[AbsentMindedProfessor never notices]] or just doesn't care.
39	** They're also portrayed as being exes or as Darius having an unrequited crush on Alador and being mad that the latter picked Odalia over him.
40	** Darius having a past relationship with the former Golden Guard prior to Hunter that he mentions in "Any Sport In A Storm", is a growing interpretation as well. And that taking care of Hunter is Darius's way of honoring him after his death. Furthermore, if Belos were to find out about Darius and that past Golden Guard, he ''wouldn't'' be pleased about it at all.
41	* One of Luz's classmates in the first episode has a similar design to Amity, only with tan skin and blonde hair with pink highlights. This led to a lot of fanart depicting her as similar to a human version of Amity, sometimes even having Luz have a crush on her (or vice versa) before going to the Demon realm. After [[spoiler:Vee]] was introduced, it became a new common subject of fanworks to ship her and the blonde girl (who is often nicknamed "Clara").
42	* Some fics depict Principal Hal as a biased {{Jerkass}} who never believes Luz about people bullying her due to her past mistakes and he'll always believe whoever is bullying her[[note]]Usually it's Clara (who's seen as coming from a rich family) due to her parents donating money to the school.[[/note]].
43	* In fics showing Luz and Amity married or planning on getting married, it's almost universally accepted that Amity would take Luz's last name as a way to distance herself from the legacy of her parents.
44	* Especially in comedic fics, Belos is usually portrayed as a PoliticallyCorrectVillain who does not tolerate bigotry from his subordinates (such as strangling Kikimora for misgendering Raine).
45	** This portrayal of Belos has endured even after the show revealed him to be a [[spoiler:genocidal maniac who's bigoted against witches]]. Portraying him as someone who doesn't care about anyone on the Isles' gender, sexuality, or skin color [[spoiler:because [[EqualOpportunityEvil he wants all of them dead anyway]]]].
46	* In fics where Amity visits or stays in the human realm, tacos become her TrademarkFavouriteFood.
47	* A good number of fanworks taking place in the future have Luz growing her hair out, usually long enough to give her either a ponytail or HammerspaceHair like her mentor, Eda, based on her expressed interest in having the feature.
48	* A lot of fans have adopted the idea that Boscha is a Witch-Demon hybrid, mostly to try justify why she has a ThirdEye while everybody else looks relatively normal.
49	* In canon, Boscha's not shown to have any more affection for Skara than she does anybody else, telling at her when her invitation to her birthday party began malting and demanding a new one. Fanon, however? will typically depict Skara as either Boscha's BestFriend, who she treats better when not in public, her OnlyFriend due to her abrasive personality driving people away from her, or even her girlfriend.
50	* There's no indication in canon that Witches and Demons have ever interbred, or that it's even possible in the first place. Nonetheless, some stories go with the idea that it is possible and has happened before, not only to justify the "Boscha is a Witch-demon hybrid" idea above, but explain why some of the Witches we've seen could look like humanoid monsters while other look perfectly humanoid.
51	* After "Any Sport in a Storm" many fans suspect that Boscha is a secret fan of the ''Azura'' books.
52	* From the same episode above, Hunter is often portrayed as being very new to technology and social media as evidenced by him being a very slow typer.
53	** Darius is also portrayed as being his father figure as well.
54	* After Hunter mistakenly sent a picture of Flapjack to Luz in "Reaching Out", most fans assumed that the intended recipient was Willow. Many also assume that sending each other cute pictures of their palismen is just something Hunter and Willow regularly do.
55	* The flashback episode "Them's The Breaks, Kid" shows a witch with three eyes and a witch with red hair [[ThoseTwoGuys together]] as background characters. Fans have put two and two together, and pitted them as Boscha's mothers.
56	* There's a slow burning approach on the belief that the Bat Queen and [[spoiler:the basilisks that Belos revived]] have and share a burning hatred towards Lilith for their own reasons. The Bat Queen's hatred is due to Lilith harvesting palismen and palistrom trees to treat Belos' condition and [[spoiler:the basilisks]] are because she was the head of the Emperor's Coven who [[spoiler:headed their revival and did nothing to free them.]] For the latter, it leads to [[spoiler:a basilisk joining the Bards Against the Throne, which have expanded their ranks to include more members in these kind of scenarios.]]
57	* It's also becoming a possiblity that Belos [[spoiler:reviving the Basilisks]] is a result of the fact that ''he'' was the one who [[spoiler:drove them to extinction in the days of his early rise to power]] by using them as a scapegoat to the "dangers of wild magic".
58	* Another possibility with [[spoiler:the basilisks is that the living basilisks Belos revived are actually Grimwalkers, brought back through cloning similar to the Golden Guards.]]
59	* It's commonly assumed that Flapjack took such a liking to Hunter because of his resemblance to a previous owner, mostly accepted to be Philip Wittebane's brother--his statue in the human realm does bear a passing resemblance to an older Hunter.
60	** Fans have latched onto the idea that it was Flapjack who gave Hunter the idea for his fake name ("Caleb") in "Any Sport In A Storm", and take it a step further by then assuming it's because that was the Wittebane brother's name. [[spoiler:After numerous implications in later episodes of Season 2, "Thanks to Them" formally confirms both of these things, with Flapjack having originally been Caleb's Palisman.]]
61	* It's considered a stone-set fact that Darius [[spoiler:began rebelling against Belos because he figured out the truth about the Golden Guards being grimwalkers and has been trying to get Hunter to turn on his uncle due to promising his mentor, the previous guard, he'd look after the boy.]]
62	* When Steve revealed his face for the first time in "O Titan, Where Art Thou", many fans immediately notices a resemblance between him and Mattholomule and decided that he must be the unseen older brother Mattholomule mentioned in "Through the Looking Glass Ruins". Dana would confirm on her Twitter account shortly after the episode came out that the two are half-brothers.
63	* In some fics where Raine and the Bards Against The Throne (Derwin, Katya, and Amber) act as a [[FamilyOfChoice family unit]], the latter three tend to call Raine by the title of Baba.[[note]]which while directly translating to father/grandfather/sir is becoming increasingly used as a title for non-binary parents in lieu of traditional titles such as Mama or Papa.[[/note]]
64	* Philip Wittebane/[[spoiler:Emperor Belos]] being a NewEnglandPuritan is thrown around enough by fans you'd be forgiven for thinking it's canon. It would make a degree of sense in terms of timeline and [[spoiler:his opposition to witchcraft]], but the show doesn't actually say or suggest this at any point and Philip gives no impression he's religious (quite the opposite, given [[spoiler:how decidedly ''non''-Christian many of his attitudes and actions are, committing a lot of flagrant sins without particular care]]). This interpretation does receive some support in "Thanks to Them" where, [[spoiler: as he departs back to the demon realm, he says to Luz "This is for the good of your souls"]]. It also gets some support in "Watching and Dreaming" where we hear him call the Isles a "perdition," which is an old English Christian term for {{hell}}.
65	** Likewise, it's common for fans to believe [[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain Philip is also sexist, homophobic and racist towards people of color]] because those are the views commonly held by Puritan societies in New England. While it is logical that Philip may have held those beliefs, there's no evidence that he did [[spoiler:and his tenure as Emperor Belos suggest the opposite, being remarkably tolerant to women, LGBT people, and people of color. While it could theoretically be chalked up to PragmaticVillainy (and that he's going to kill them all anyways), he keeps it up in private and when interacting with Luz, even when she rejects his offers to join him and he has no reason to lie anymore; he never remarks upon her gender, sexuality, or race, and [[EvilCannotComprehendGood genuinely deems her insane when she fails to share his anti-witch stance]]. The implication in canon seems very much that while Belos hates witches and demons, [[PoliticallyCorrectVillain he holds no particular bigotry towards any human groups]]; another possible explanation is that his joy at meeting the first human he has seen in centuries is superseding his bigotry.]]
66	** Philip is commonly depicted by fans to be naturally left-handed, due to being seen using his left hand to handle tools and gestures, but was forced to use his right hand because the Puritans saw [[ASinisterClue his left-handedness as the mark of the Devil]]. [[spoiler:This detail is used by fanfic writers to highlight the toxic nature of Gravesfield society and [[SelfFulfillingProphecy Philip's fear of being seen as a monster by his fellow humans if he fails to uphold Puritan values]].]]
67	* Before canon would revealed what the Day of Unity ''[[FinalSolution really]]'' was, and especially before the origin of Emperor Belos was revealed, most fans took the name literally and believed that it was a plan to create a MergedReality between the Demon and Human realms.
68	* Fans often depicted Luz and Vee as developing a sisterly relationship after Luz returns to the human realm. While the two ended up having no interactions in "Thanks to Them", the epilogue of "Watching and Dreaming" confirms that [[IKnewIt Vee did become Luz's adopted sister]].
69	* After "Thanks To Them" many fans assumed that because of Hunter's newfound obsession with wolves that [[spoiler:he would get a wolf Palisman to replace Flapjack]]. This ended up getting Jossed in the DistantFinale, where [[spoiler: his new Palisman was a bluejay]].
70	* A common bit of Fanon concerns the promise Luz made to Camila in "Yesterday's Lie." At the end of the episode, Camila has Luz promise to stay with her in the human realm after she finds a way back, but the start of the next episode Camila has Luz promise to never return to the Demon Realm. A common interpretation is that the latter promise is how Luz interpreted it, but that Camila never wanted to forbid Luz from going back.
71	* The fanbase generally accepted almost immediately that Amity would find [[spoiler:Titan Luz]] ridiculously attractive, usually sporting a full-face LuminescentBlush. Expect her to utter something along the lines of 'Oh My Titan', and [[spoiler: Titan Luz]] to turn that right around with a line like [[spoiler:'Yes, ''your'' Titan'.]] Typically this will also have [[spoiler: Luz]] be a lot more suave than she normally is while in [[spoiler: Titan form]], allowing her to induce these reactions out of Amity that she otherwise isn't quite capable of.
72	* In "Watching and Dreaming," fans noticed that Raine and Eda were wearing each other's earrings and that Luz was wearing Amity's necklace in the epilogue sequence. This has led to the idea that on the Boiling Isles, swapping jewelry is something akin to a marriage proposal, or at least symbolic of a deeper commitment to a relationship. The former was quickly {{jossed}}, but Terrace did confirm the latter, and that Raine and Eda now live together.
73	* Many fans who were displeased that [[spoiler:[[KarmaHoudini Odalia]] pretty much got off scot-free for her actions]] in "Watching and Dreaming" agree on the notion that [[spoiler:she was subjected to a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown at Camila's hands, with [[ShoeSlap La Chanclá]] being utilized as part of it.]]

76	* Fans have universally accepted the idea that Masha -- and by extension the rest of Cabin 7 -- [[SecretKeeper are let in on the loop in regards to Vee's true identity and the existence of the Boiling Isles]] between the events of "[[Recap/TheOwlHouseS3E1ThanksToThem Thanks to Them]]" and the DistantFinale at the end of "[[Recap/TheOwlHouseS3E3WatchingAndDreaming Watching and Dreaming]]".
