''Fanfic/TheGamerRestart'' by [=TheBlackDuelist=]
* Recommended by: Aero Skater
* Status: Dormant; last updated March 2019
* Synopsis: A retelling of the manhwa that removes Jee-Han's "Gamer's Mind" passive and forces him to grow up mentally to survive the Abyss.
* Comments: A well written fanfiction that takes the original concept of "The Gamer" and gives us a much more cowardly and human Jee-Han, which is good since it can give him more [[CharacterDevelopment development]]. It follows the canon (or will, according to the author) up until a certain point and even adds in more depth to characters that were neglected (such as Sun-Il, Shi-Yun, and Sung-Ah). Author updates quite frequently, every day or so. Definitely worth reading if you're not satisfied with the manhwa.

''Fanfic/{{The Games We Play|TheGamerRWBY}}'' by Ryuugi
* Recommended by: [=CassidyTheDevil=]
* Crossover with: ''WebAnimation/{{RWBY}}''
* Status: Complete
* Synopsis: After getting rejected from Signal again, Jaune Arc starts seeing strange blue screens, titles and levels appear above people's heads, and weird things begin to happen to him, as if he was in a game. Jaune realizes he has become a Gamer, with all the RPGMechanicsVerse shenanigans that involves. At first ecstatic about finally unlocking his Semblance, his life takes an unwanted turn when he accidentally gets himself involved with the White Fang and their struggle. Annoying as this is, little does he know that this is far from the limit of the "fun" he will encounter...
* Comments: A ''WebAnimation/{{RWBY}}'' crossover starring Jaune, as is typical for Ryuugi's it quickly escalates.
** Notable for (among other things) being extraordinarily long, and having an [[SerialEscalation ever-escalating]] JustForFun/HolyShitQuotient. Status: Finished, with a sequel possibly in the works.

* Status: Dormant
* Synopsis: Cauldron's plan was bad. The Protectorate was deeply flawed. The PRT was a joke. If Gaia wanted to save her babies, save herself, she'd need to interfere. Enter The Gamer. Too bad it's James.

''Fanfic/GregVederVsTheWorld'' by [=ZFighter18=]
* Recommended by: [=AbsolutelyAverage=]
* Crossover with: ''Literature/{{Worm}}''
* Status: Ongoing
* Synopsis: The average person can easily understand that when it comes to living in a crime-infested city like Brockton Bay where villains carve out their own personal fiefdoms, treating life like a game can get you killed. It's kind of ironic, then, that Greg Veder has always been far more serious about games than he ever has about life.
* Pairing: Greg/Emma
