8	* BigDamnHeroes: The SI's interruption of the execution.
9	* BottomlessMagazines: Subtly invoked by the SI. With the Point system in place, the SI can technically have as much ammunition he needs, so long as he has the points for it. The same applies to fuel and repairs to his equipment. As of yet, only a few characters have noticed things being "off" despite the amount of craziness usually involved with the SI. For the most part, everyone assumes the SI has [[MenOfSherwood either a whole regiment of helpers aiding him unseen]] or foresaw the need so far ahead of time [[CrazyPrepared that it appears as if it were planned all along]].
10	* DavidVsGoliath: The SI's Heavy Gear is ''tiny'' compared to the mechs fielded by the Inner Sphere, but is capable of hitting well above its weight.
11	* DisproportionateRetribution: When the SI escapes from the Combine's security forces after forcing a local news station to broadcast a recording of an ''extremely'' offensive cartoon that mocks their head of state Takashi Kurita, everyone working there ''as well as their families'' are sentenced to death by the local military forces after the man himself orders the SI's death and that of his accomplices. This in spite of the fact that he was holding them at gunpoint, and had no idea what was on the disk he gave them. The SI is [[BerserkButton not amused]].
12	* DoNotAdjustYourSet: ROB is capable of overriding every video screen and HPG station in the Inner Sphere to show the SI's antics, and it's driving [=ComStar=] up the wall.
13	* DramaticDrop: In Entry 33 Part 2, Jamie Wolf drops his coffee mug after the SI's Hunter takes on an Archer and Stalker in open combat and destroys the latter.
14	* DrivenToSuicide: Several characters from the Draconis Combine mention that if it hadn't been for Myria's actions showing there was still honor to be had in their nation, then Takeshi Kurita might well have committed {{seppuku}} out of shame.

Not only do the local forces not care that the people working at that broadcasting station had been forced to play the SI's recording at gunpoint, they also sentence their families to death along with them. It makes the SI [[BigDamnHeroes interrupting]] the execution and subsequent [[CurbStompBattle wrecking of everyone involved]] all the sweeter.
23	* NormalFishInATinyPond[=/=]OutsideContextProblem: A bizarre mix of the two. A Hunter is not top-end stuff for ''Heavy Gear'', but the things it can do for its light mass are beyond what the Inner Sphere is currently capable of.
24	* OhCrap: Chou, when he learns that his duplicity was broadcast across the entire Inner Sphere, thereby humiliating his head of state and the entire Draconis Combine, realizes that even if he were to survive his current situation (i.e. ''fucked''), there would be no escaping the Combine's StateSec or [[FateWorseThanDeath what they would do to him for his treachery]].
25	* PetTheDog: Takashi Kurita, when he learns the details of the SI's intervention with the aforementioned execution. He gives everyone that was slated to be executed an official pardon, and orders everyone in the chain of command who helped carry it out stripped of their titles and posessions before sentencing them to death for their actions.
26	* PointBuildSystem: ROB allows the SI to use one to even the odds he's forced to face. With it the SI can increase attributes, increase skills, or just to buy items allowed to him. Of course he has to earn those points.
27	* PoorCommunicationKills: When Takashi Kurita ordered the deaths of the SI and his nonexistent accomplices, he meant the support personnel that would be necessary for the SI to carry out his actions. He had ''not'' meant it as "execute the people working in the broadcast station as well as their families," and was ''most displeased'' to learn local forces had interpreted his order that way.

31	* TakingYouWithMe: When Chou reveals his betrayal and plan to murder her while making it look like the SI's fault, Myria decides that he's not going to survive the ensuing firefight.
32	* TranquilFury: Takashi Kurita, after watching the live broadcast of the fight between the SI, Chou, and Myria. It's surprisingly hilarious.

The settings the licenses are ''TabletopGame/CrimsonSkies'', ''TabletopGame/GearKrieg'', ''TabletopGame/{{Mekton}}'', ''TabletopGame/JovianChronicles'', ''Core Command'', ''TabletopGame/RenegadeLegion'', ''Series/StarTrekTheOriginalSeries'', ''Anime/ArmoredTrooperVOTOMS'', Three licenses that represent higher levels in Battletech, and a minor license for ''TabletopGame/{{Rifts}}'' iconic [[Main/PoweredArmor Glitter Boy]]. He also, as the result of a throwaway joke, gained access to the license that would allow him to purchase and pilot [[VideoGame/MetalGear Metal Gears]].
36	* VillainousBSOD: Takashi Kurita has one when the SI's broadcast of his "duel" with the commander of Nowhere's local forces and the jackass' subsequent actions reveal the endemic corruption and hypocrisy of the Draconis Combine ''in front of the entire Inner Sphere''. It makes him seriously question if he's any good as a leader, and then resolve to [[ThePurge purge]] the Combine of its corrupt elements, and he intends to make sure he gets it ''right'' this time.
