In 1967, Scrooge [=McDuck=] was killed on his final adventure. His vast fortune was split between his three nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie. By 1970 all three had become estranged from one another, having gone their separate ways, in argument about the best way to treat the fortune from their beloved uncle. However, Scrooge's company and indeed the whole world comes under danger from a madman, and the three nephews must come back together to save it.

A MegaCrossover ContinuationFic by WebAnimation/DotDotDot, starring Huey, Dewey, and Louie, written after a prompt on an {{ImageBoard|s}}. Despite the name, it involves much more than just ''WesternAnimation/{{DuckTales|1987}}'', eventually encompassing most of the rest of ''WesternAnimation/TheDisneyAfternoon'' and a large portion of the Disney comics, both by Americans like Creator/CarlBarks and Creator/DonRosa, and by various European sources.

The basic story involves Dewey, having taken over Scrooge's company, being forced to work together with his estranged brothers Louie, who went off to [[WesternAnimation/DarkwingDuck St. Canard]] to be a superhero, and Huey, who ran off around the world and eventually landed in [[WesternAnimation/TaleSpin Cape Suzette]]. They are chased out of Duckburg by a raid by the Beagle Boys, and are framed for the crime. This sets off a world-hopping adventure of Cold War-era, sibling-rivalry fueled, high-flying fun.

----
!!Tropes:
* AcePilot: Apparently lots of work both as a (deserter) US pilot and working in Cape Suzette made Huey into a pretty ingenious pilot.
* AffirmativeActionLegacy: [[spoiler:Gosalyn has taken up the Darkwing Duck mantle.]]
* BigBadDuumvirate: Technically speaking, there's a wide partnership of different villains with different agendas, but [[spoiler:Magica [=DeSpell=], The Grand High Marshall of of Thembria and Farid Kagan as the 3 main forces.]]
* BookEnds: The first scene of ''WesternAnimation/{{DuckTales|1987}}'' has Scrooge swimming through his money bin, reveling in his wealth before being called in to pick up his grandnephews. The last scene of the fic features [[spoiler:the nephews splitting up again, and afterwards Dewy and Webby swimming in the new money from his OWN earnings in the money bin.]]
* BroadStrokes:
** Scrooge's "final adventure" which ended up being his death appears to have been the adventure of The Golden Goose from the series finale of ''[=DuckTales=]'', with several key differences, such as the goose apparently laying golden eggs which it didn't do in the original story.
** The fic places ''[=DuckTales=]'' (and ''Darkwing Duck'') in the time period of the original comics, while the shows were set in ThePresentDay at time of broadcast.
* TheCameo: Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow make a cameo as a couple in Mouston.
** Also, they mention some private detective who once caught The Phantom Blot. What was his name? [[WesternAnimation/MickeyMouse Mortimer? Mookey?]]
* ChromaticArrangement: As well as Huey, Louie and Dewey, there's Rosalina (red), Maria (blue) and Amalia (green).
* ContinuationFic: Of most of the Disney Afternoon canon and the comic book universe AND some of the classic cartoons.
* UsefulNotes/ColdWar: Going strong. The BigBad turns out to be [[spoiler:a war profiteer trying to start WorldWarIII to [[WarForFunAndProfit turn a quick profit]].]]
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: [[spoiler:Farid Kagan, who is also the BigBad.]]
* DarkFic: There's a lot of adult content in this children's franchise celebration. Illigitimate children, drug trafficking, attempted rape, murder and lots of danger.
* DarkerAndEdgier: The smuggling of cocaine-filled condoms are mentioned in the first chapter. This is not a light and fluffy story.
** Steelbeak has killer hookers as henchmen.
* DecompositeCharacter:
** One could make the argument that Huey, Dewey and Louie ended up emphasizing different parts of who their Uncle Scrooge was.
*** Huey ended up an international traveler, following his code of ethics to a different land to live his own life.
*** Dewey was the shrewd businessman who wanted to make his own way in the world, and who became guardian of a vast amount of wealth.
*** Louie became a man of action, wanting to use his wealth for adventure and to help those that mattered to him.
** Also, Goofy in this story is split between the Goofy who fought with Donald in World War II and "Junior" from Junior's day out, who would eventually become the Goofy of WesternAnimation/GoofTroop as well as [[WesternAnimation/HouseOfMouse Super Goof]].
* DeconstructedCharacterArchetype / DeconstructionFic:
** When Dewey expresses shock that the general populace is so quick to buy the idea [[FrameUp that the nephews are bad guys]] despite Scrooge's good name, Louie points out that's because Dewey is looking at it with the rose-tinted glasses of a close relative: for everyone else, Scrooge was a greedy miser (to the point that he considered "charity" a dirty word), and was only tolerated because compared to [[AmoralAfrikaner Glomgold]] or [[CorruptCorporateExecutive Rockerduck]], his belief in honest work meant [[ALighterShadeOfBlack he was a saint]]. Because Dewey hasn't had similar arch-enemies to fight against, he's become perceived as the spitting image of all of Scrooge's faults without any of his virtues. Not helping is that Louie ran off after becoming an apparent stereotypical cash-tossing empty-headed trust fund kid, whilst Huey ran away to avoid being drafted to fight in the war (presumably Vietnam).
** During a conversation with Jose, Louie deconstructs Dewey's obsession with money by explaining how their childhood was spent either scraping to make ends meet with the impoverished Donald, or living more adventurous but not much wealthier lives under Scrooge, due to his miserly ways.
** In the process of deconstructing Dewey, Louie admits his own cavalier attitude towards spending money is ''his'' particular reaction to the fiscally screwed up childhood he lived; now that he both has money ''and'' can do what he likes with it, he has no intention of not indulging himself.
** {{Nephewism}} is deconstructed with [[spoiler:Rosalina, Maria, and Amalia Carioca]], who are given a DarkerAndEdgier makeover as [[spoiler:Jose Carioca's]] three illegitimate daughters.
** The Duck Triplets' childhood is deconstructed in that it's left them all marked in their own unique ways, and those scars actually caused them to separate from each other for a prolonged period of time. Louie holds a certain pent-up resentment for his granduncle, and likewise kind of loathes his brother Dewey for trying to be Scrooge [=McDuck=] Jr... whilst also being bitter that he was never as respected by his granduncle as Dewey was. Huey resents Donald for leaving them to go and fight in the Korean War, and then getting [[spoiler:seemingly]] killed in Vietnam.
%%* DirtyCommunists: The Thembrians from ''WesternAnimation/TaleSpin'' fill out this role nicely.
* DyingTown: Cape Suzette became one of these during the Great Depression when the majority of its inhabitants abandoned it, leaving it to be retaken by the original islanders. It got bombed to pieces when China occupied it during [=WW2=] as an outpost against Japan, and has by the 60's become a kind of Casablanca-type settlement inhabited by all manner of vagrants, immigrants and refugees from across the world. This is where Huey sets up shop to avoid being drafted.
* EarnYourHappyEnding: The 3 duck brothers travel the world, fighting villains, challenging old enemies, and righting old emotional wounds. But by the end of everything, all the heroes have survived to the end. The Nephews, despite knowing they may never see each other again, part on good terms. Donald [[spoiler:returns from hiding to reunite with Daisy]], Gizmoduck and Darkwing's legacies are secure, and [[spoiler:Dewey and Webby]] are perhaps on their way to a new stage of their relationship.
* EvilOldFolks: Steelbeak is still alive, though now well into his 60's at least. He's still a vicious asshole.
* ExtremeLibido: The [[MeaningfulName aptly-named]] "Boner" Beagle is characterized by his constant lust for any woman around him, and is endlessly either crudely hitting on women or talking about women he wants to have sex with. When holding a bunch of nuns hostage, he pleads with his brothers to be allowed to rape at least one of them, as he has a [[NaughtyNuns nun fetish]]. When he realizes that [[spoiler:Gosalyn!Darkwing]] is a girl, he starts planning to rape her once he defeats her.
* FlashForwardFic: The fanfic focuses on Huey, Dewey, and Louie, canonical children, as adults, who have separated after disagreements over how to spend their deceased uncle's massive inheritance.
* FrameUp: [[spoiler:Farid]] frames the nephews as being the masterminds behind the Beagle Boys' takeover of Duckburg.
* GangOfHats: Steelbeak's gang consists of prostitutes in sexy outfits. Highlights include a SexyNurse and a dominatrix, the latter armed with a whip.
* GoodThingYouCanHeal: [[spoiler:Gosalyn]] is fine with using any means to take down Bushroot, including killing him, because as a PlantPerson, he'll simply regrow no matter how badly you mess him up.
* GroinAttack:
** [[spoiler:Gosalyn!Darkwing threatens Steelbeak with this while interrogating him. Green Phantom (Louie) is at first disturbed, but threatens it himself and even more forcefully when Steelbeak names [=McDuck=] Enterprises as the company that's been laundering money for him]]
** [[spoiler:Gosalyn also skewers Boner Beagle in the crotch with a fork when he tries to coax her into having sex whilst he's robbing her the restaurant she's at.]]
* ImmortalitySeeker: Living forever is the ultimate goal of the [[spoiler:Grand High Marshall of Thembria]]
* InspectorJavert: Perry Kid, who is obsessed with proving himself the most respectable of lawmen to deny the (obviously true) rumors that he's the son of Don Karnage.
* ITakeOffenseToThatLastOne: [[spoiler:Gosalyn]] was fine with Louie trying to be a superhero, and brushed off his attempts at boasting, but as soon as Louie compared himself to [[spoiler:the previous]] Darkwing Duck, she [[TheReasonYouSuck goes off]] on him and explains exactly how much time and training Darkwing had invested into his career, unlike Louie.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: By the start of the story, Dewey seems to have inherited all of Scrooge's negative traits, and gained a few of his own as well. In particular he treats his childhood friend turned loyal employee, Webby, especially badly until enough people [[WhatTheHellHero call him out]] on it. CharacterDevelopment eventually turns him into a someone more aware of his own faults by the end of the story.
* KilledOffForReal: Scrooge and Darkwing are revealed to have died during the opening prologue, Scrooge having sustained mortal injuries during his final adventure, and Darkwing having been killed while busting up a crime ring in the mid-60's.
** Baloo also died sometime before the fic began, passing the delivery business to Kit Cloudkicker.
* UsefulNotes/TheKoreanWar: Retconned in as the reason WesternAnimation/DonaldDuck had to leave the boys with Scrooge during the ''WesternAnimation/{{DuckTales|1987}}'' era.
* LegacyCharacter: Several, including WesternAnimation/DarkwingDuck [[spoiler:and Gizmoduck]].
* LegionOfDoom: A legion composed of [[spoiler:Camille Chameleon, The Beagle Boys clan, Magica De Spell, The Grand Marshall of Thembria, and Farid Kagan]] with a common goal to destroy Scrooge [=McDuck=]'s legacy though with various personal goals as well.
* MarryThemAll: [[spoiler:How does Huey react to having three beautiful girls in the form of the Cariocas on his tail throughout the whole story? With glee. Notably, it's ''their'' idea to share him and officially hook up with him at the end, though they warn him that their generosity ends with each other, so he had better not think of trying to add any more girls to the arrangement.]]
* MegaCrossover: ''WesternAnimation/DarkwingDuck'', ''WesternAnimation/{{DuckTales|1987}}'', ''WesternAnimation/TaleSpin'', ''WesternAnimation/GoofTroop'', ''WesternAnimation/TheThreeCaballeros'', and the comics from both sides of the pond are unceremoniously glued together to form one continuity.
* {{Nephewism}}: Huey, Dewey, and Louie, obviously. Also referenced with Rosalina, Maria, and Amalia, the three Neices of Jose Carioca. [[spoiler:As befits the DarkerAndEdgier nature of this fanfic, though, it eventually gets revealed that they are not his nieces, but his illegitimate daughters.]]
** Farid Kagan, the nephew of Shere Khan.
* OldMaster: [[spoiler:WesternAnimation/DonaldDuck in his superhero identity PK, who kicks the asses of two out of three of the boys. Also, the original Gizmoduck, Fenton Crackshell.]]
* PaperThinDisguise: Louie, despite his best efforts, ends up with this as a problem as almost everyone in his family (aside from Dewey) can tell it's him with only a domino mask over his face.
* PocketProtector: [[spoiler:Scrooge's number one dime stops a bullet for Huey at the end. Well. It doesn't so much stop it as slow it down slightly. It still goes in, but doesn't kill him.]]
* PlantPerson: Bushroot is still alive, and hasn't aged at all thanks to his mutation.
* RescueRomance: Rosalina, Maria, and Amalia Carioca are all described as being "naturally flirty", but the fact that Huey saved them from being held hostage by Communist rebels makes them ''especially'' interested in him.
* TheReveal: [[spoiler:The new Gizmoduck is Doofus.]]
* SelfMadeMan: Dewey, remaining behind in Duckburg to run [=McDuck=] Enterprises, is desperate to be able to make money off his own abilities like his uncle had, and is very reluctant to use his inheritance as a crutch. Deconstructed when it's shown throughout the story that he's almost dangerously obsessed with this idea, to the point that he actually considers abandoning his grand-uncle's company so he can enjoy running his own new company... which itself he's struggling with, since Jose Carioca, who's the front-man, has pointed out that they've reached a comfortable niche and it would be wasteful and greedy to just keep pushing to get bigger.
* TheSeventies: The story is set in 1970, though it ends in 1971.
* ShoutOut: When Louie is about to yell at his brother about how he doesn't recognize him as a superhero, he instead changes it around to say, "[[ComicBook/AllStarBatmanAndRobinTheBoyWonder I'm the Goddamn Green Phantom!]]"
* SiblingRivalry: Oh yeah! The rivalry is over all sorts of different things in both the past and present, with all the nephews having different views on how to one up their brothers.
* SuperHero: Louie's side of the story in St. Canard features these in abundance.
* SuperRegistrationAct: Occurs in St. Canard by [[PoweredArmor Gizmoduck]] as a reference to Creator/MarvelComics' ''ComicBook/CivilWar2006''.
* TwoFistedTales: Referenced in the Huey portions of the story, which use elements from the TwoFistedTales reference mill ''WesternAnimation/TaleSpin''.
%%* UnluckyChildhoodFriend: Poor [[spoiler:Doofus]].
%%* UnstoppableRage: When the boys channel their uncle Donald.
%%* UnwittingPawn: Several. The main ones being Gizmoduck, Steelbeak and S.H.U.S.H.
* VainSorceress: Magica De Spell is re-imagined as this in her latest scheme to get the number one dime.
* VillainDecay: Steelbeak has fallen far since his days as Darkwings secondary arch-enemy. After Darkwing and SHUSH forced him to go into exile, he's been reduced to running a glorified prostitution ring.
* WretchedHive: As a stand-in for Gotham City, Saint Carnard is this, a dark, corrupt city controlled by the mob empowered by the prohibition during the 30s.
