->''"Hitsugaya Toushiro is in another sticky situation. He's stranded across dimensions without a way home, and he'll do anything to return - even turn to crime. But the UA and a kind green-haired boy won't let him side with the villains, no matter what happens. Because every broken soul deserves healing and Izuku is just too good for this world."''

!!Tropes:
* AbuseMistake: The doctors see Toushiro's scars and initially believe he is being abused. When they imply that, his defensive outburst convinces them they are right.
* AdaptationDistillation: The pivotal Stain arc is condensed into a four-paragraph summary at the beginning of chapter eight.
* AncientOrderOfProtectors: Soul Society is in charge of maintaining the balance of souls.
* AnotherDimension: An unnamed Quirk user accidentally rips open a gateway between Bleach's world and My Hero Academia's.
* ArbitrarySkepticism: People can have superpowers that allow them to change size, manipulate gravity, and see into the future but soul-eating monsters are hard to believe.
* ArrestedForHeroism: Toushiro is arrested after killing an Arrancar to save students' and teachers' lives, and again after [[spoiler:killing All-for-One]] because [[SarcasmMode how dare he save the lives of thousands of people.]] He is more annoyed that this keeps him from being out there protecting people than bothered by it since he knows he can easily break out if he needs to.
* AsskickingLeadsToLeadership: Shinigami with the ability to fight and strong spiritual powers are put in positions of power regardless of their age.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: The ethics of power (or just ethics in general) of the denizens of Soul Society are disturbing to ''a lot'' of people. The pro-heroes and police are particularly disturbed to learn [[spoiler:Mayuri, one of Toushiro's fellow Captains, is the one who experimented on him. They're even more disturbed that Mayuri received no punishment for torturing Toushiro and his victim ''genuinely thanked him for doing it''.]]
* ClassifiedInformation: A good portion of the reason why getting Toushiro to tell people things is like pulling teeth is that he's not at liberty to divulge.
* CrazyPrepared: There are protocols for who should be called when extra-dimensional travelers show up.
* CultureClash: The Bleach and Academia worlds have vastly different views on morality and killing. Killing Hollows and executions (be they honorable or dishonorable) are a part of life to Shinigami while such things rarely if ever happen in the world of pro-heroes. The police and UA faculty are disturbed to hear Toushiro could face the death penalty if he shares information about his powers and organization with them. Toushiro does not let this difference get in the way of his mission since the enemies he faces are threats to humanity and peace as a whole. No laws or [[HeroWithBadPublicity public scorn]] will prevent him from saving people.
* CurbStompBattle: Happens when someone who is not spiritually inclined goes against someone with spiritual power. When a person uses spiritual power, the laws of physics apply to them in different ways.
* CuriosityIsACrapshoot: The pro-heroes and law enforcement keep pushing Toushiro to try to find out what he is hiding from them. [[spoiler:When they bring in a LivingLieDetector and force Toushiro to tell the truth, he informs them their actions may result in his arrest once his organization finds out he shared classified information with humans.]] The adults are horrified to realize what they have done.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: A child cannot simply get over or suppress years of trauma, particularly when they're not given the time or support to. Being isolated and rejected since childhood leaves Toushiro with severe trust issues and PTSD and he is shocked every time someone offers to help him adjust rather than ordering him to suck it up and move on.
* {{Deconstruction}}: The fic deconstructs the idea of an [[AllOfTheOtherReindeer isolated child]] being unaffected after becoming part of a supernatural organization, [[ChildSoldiers fighting in a grisly war]] and being forced to endure horrors that would leave psychological messes of fully grown adults. Toushiro's experiences leave him with trust issues and PTSD, and he has no one to turn to and no way to let himself heal because, as a Captain, he is expected to simply get over everything that happened to him and not let it affect him. Recovery does not happen after a single encouraging talk. It is a slow and arduous process.
* DeconstructionCrossover: The series deconstructs crossovers where the two crossed worlds have differing views of morality. MHA has a BlackAndWhiteMorality and no-killing view, while Bleach has a more morally gray ethical scale. The people of the two worlds do not seamlessly mesh or accept each others' cultures and ethical views. The MHA characters see the Shinigami's way of life as [[BlueAndOrangeMorality disturbing]] and Toushiro's organization as close to evil, while Toushiro finds the heroes' morality to be inane, obstructive, and illogical since following their laws will cost lives, as Hollows cannot simply be arrested like villains. This causes the two sides to clash multiple times, and the MHA characters' attempts to force Toushiro to abide to their laws [[spoiler:eventually pushes him to declare he will fight them if they continue to stop him from doing his duty.]]
* EntertaininglyWrong: The pro-heroes and police initially believe Toushiro is an escaped experiment or child soldier created by All-for-One.
* ForWantOfANail: Toushiro and the Hollows' presences on the UA world begin diverging the plot from canon's path by opening up the hero world to supernatural elements. The biggest divergence thus far is [[spoiler:Toushiro killing All-for-One in chapter 27.]]
* FuzzTherapy: Toushiro gets a black cat to help him with his PTSD. [[spoiler:The cat is Yoruichi.]]
* GratuitousJapanese: Characters regularly use Japanese honorifics like -kun, -san, -senpai, etc. along with the occasional Japanese word or phrase such as "Itadakimasu". The ongoing changes in honorifics demonstrate Toushiro's growing friendships with his classmates and teachers, such as when he calls Aizawa "sensei" for the first time.
* ISeeDeadPeople: Averted in the My Hero Academia dimension. Anyone can see the souls that cross over.
* ImpossibleTaskInstantlyAccomplished: The students have to run to the training camp by 12:30 or they won't get lunch. It is 9:30 and the camp is 30 kilometers[[note]]about 18.6 miles[[/note]] away. Toushiro can cross that distance in fifteen seconds so he carries each student there using [[FlashStep Shunpo]] and they're all at camp in a few minutes.
* JudgeJuryAndExecutioner: Some of the police, UA students and faculty see Toushiro's actions against the Hollows, Nomu, and Arrancar as this. In a way they are right since Toushiro's status as a Captain of the Gotei 13 allows him to execute traitors and threats against humanity without a trial. For the crime of corrupting souls and working with those that threaten humanity, Toushiro [[spoiler:kills All For One on the spot.]]
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: The UA students are not privy to information about Toushiro's background and the Hollows' origin. [[spoiler:The truth is finally revealed to them in chapter thirty-two. Toushiro tells them about Hollows and his origins.]]
* TheMasquerade: Soul Society frowns upon the living, especially those without spiritual powers, knowing of its existence.
* MercyKill: Toushiro kills the winged Nomu since there is no way to undo the damage done to his human soul.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: The police and pro-heroes respond with guilt and horror when they realize [[spoiler:forcing Toushiro to tell them about his real background may result in his arrest or execution once Soul Society finds him.]]
* NotHisSled: [[spoiler:Toushiro kills All-for-One, which prevents All Might from losing his powers at Kamino.]]
* OutsideContextProblem: The police and pro-heroes may have protocols for dealing with villains, out-of-control Quirks, and extra-dimensional travelers, but soul-eating monsters that are immune to everything they throw at them and can blow up chunks of the planet blindside them. Luckily for them, Toushiro is there to help.
* PoorCommunicationKills: A lot of what happens could have been avoided if Toushiro simply told the pro-heroes the truth about his origins from the start.
* PowerIncontinence: Toushiro has a flashback and loses control of his dragon transformation Quirk during his fight with Endeavor. It causes him to create ice everywhere as his pupils turn to slits, his teeth turn into fangs, and his fingers become claw-like as he accidentally attacks everyone who comes near him.
* RewatchBonus: There is foreshadowing galore for the nature of Toushiro's Quirk, its drawbacks, and ways to overcome those drawbacks.
* TheReveal: [[spoiler:Arrancar and Espada]] are working with the League of Villains under the orders of an unknown party from Toushiro's world.
* ToServeMan: The typical motivation of an attacking Hollow, but they're not very [[ImAHumanitarian picky]].
* SlashedThroat: Toushiro {{mercy kill}}s a Nomu this way in order to cause it as little pain as possible.
* TheStationsOfTheCanon: Some events pass by in paragraphs but overall the story has followed canon pretty closely. Toushiro hangs out with the MHA cast through the Sports Festival, Stain incident, mall encounter, and training camp attack, which all closely adhere to canon with minimal changes. However, the changes become more pronounced after the training camp due to [[spoiler:Toushiro offering himself up in exchange for Bakugo and killing All For One.]]
* TraumaButton: Since Toushiro is suffering from PTSD, he has several. These include parasitic zombie bugs and fire, [[spoiler:as Endeavor discovers. When Toushiro sees his flames, he has a flashback and accidentally activates his Quirk for the first time]].
* WhatMeasureIsANonHuman: One of the driving questions of many UA characters. Since the Nomu could not be called human anymore and was [[AndIMustScream suffering terribly]], was Toushiro's killing of it murder or a MercyKill? Same goes for his killing of [[spoiler:the Arrancar]] that allied with the League of Villains.
* WhatTheHellHero: Toushiro, Midoriya, and Todoroki call out Endeavor for trying to send Toushiro to a mental institution because he lost control of his Quirk, which Endeavor attempts out of spite [[SoreLoser because a student beat him]]. Todoroki is one of the most vocally angry, which is understandable considering what happened to his mother.
