3	An elderly Bruce Wayne’s final battle with ComicBook/TheJoker ends with him plunging both of them into a vat of acid to ensure that the latter doesn’t come back this time. Eighteen years later, a runaway named Jake Vance, who had spent half his life squatting in Wayne Manor, is approached by its inheritors, Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon, and takes upon himself the mantle of Batman.
