-> ''"The cast was chosen for the story's umpteenth rendition. There was practically no difference to this story other than a change of faces. It was to be the same old story of princess pricks finger on wheel, sleeps instead of dies, prince rescues princess with the help of magic fairies, and everyone living happily ever after. This story was ingrained in the heads of everyone, so it would be practically easy to re-enact the story word for word. But for this rendition... Something... happened."''
-->-- OpeningMonologue of ''Sleeping Blooper''

In a FilmFic about ''WesternAnimation/SleepingBeauty'', the cast of characters are put in their roles and ready to do the umpteenth iteration of the well-known film [[TransplantedCharacterFic with almost little to no change whatsoever]]. And then things happened. Ranging from WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls (Buttercup specifically) giving [[Franchise/KingdomHearts Kairi]] the gift of beating people up to Film/VanHelsing shooting [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Chrysalis]] in the head [[KilledMidSentence in the middle of her monologue]].

Thus beginning a series of {{Film Fic}}s that went OffTheRails. This is the Fanmake Blooper Series, a series of {{Film Fic}}s (or as they're referred to in the fanfic, "Fanmakes") that ask the questions of "What if the Film Fics were cast, directed, and shot like an actual film?" and "What if the characters in these fanmakes actually ''acted'' in character?" and lays the common flaws and tropes of a fanmake out to the field and lambasts them, sometimes calling out specific Film Fics.

Currently, the series is a trilogy.
* The first part is '''[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8377020/1/Sleeping-Blooper Sleeping Blooper]]''', a parody of Sleeping Beauty that follows a scenario [[WhyDontYouJustShootHim where one of the guards takes out Maleficent during her cursing scene]] and how the fanmake continues with the death of their antagonist.
* The second part is '''[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8499390/1/Blooper-And-The-Beast Blooper and the Beast]]''', which parodies ''WesternAnimation/BeautyAndTheBeast'', sticking to the rails rather than going off them while parodying or subverting the fanmake tropes.
* The third part is '''[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8727992/1/Shadow-Of-The-Beast Shadow of the Beast]]''', which follows another fanmake of Beauty and the Beast, but has [[Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog Shadow]] as the main character trying to rescue Maria from the clutches of [[Franchise/KungFuPanda Tai Lung]].

----
!! The Fanmake Blooper Series has the following Tropes:
* ADayInTheLimelight: Shadow of the Beast is this for Shadow, even going as far as going for a first person perspective.
* AdaptationalHeroism:
** A minor example thanks to miscasting. [[Literature/SwordArtOnline Oberon]] and [[Anime/CodeGeass Lelouch]] managed to snag the roles of Elrond and Gandalf respectively.
** A slightly major example comes in the form of [[spoiler:[[Film/WhoFramedRogerRabbit Judge Doom]], who acts less of an antagonist and more of an investigator who informs Shadow of what happened to Maria. Though he's not that much of a hero, [[TheDreaded as toons still fear him]]]].
* AscendedExtra: Both in and out of the fanmake for Van Helsing. In, because he was playing a nameless guard before shooting Chrysalis, and out, as he just did one action and spoke one line of dialogue, but managed to become one of the protagonists for the rest of the fanfic and one of the few central characters to appear in future fanfics.
* AnAssKickingChristmas: Chapter 5 of Blooper and the Beast, which is based entirely off the Christmas special of Beauty and the Beast, with the exception that the focus is switched to a crossover fanfic in which ''Series/KamenRiderDecade'', [[Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger GokaiRed]], Sonic and Sora team up and have a battle against Xaldin and Forte.
* AsHimself: InUniverse. Whereas every character in films get replaced by other characters, [[WesternAnimation/BeautyAndTheBeastTheEnchantedChristmas Forte]] is still Forte.
* BadassBoast[=/=]TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Shadow in the beginning of Shadow of the Beast. [[spoiler:Too bad Minion breaks it by saying he played a Princess]].
--> "''''[[{{WesternAnimation/Megamind}} You]] '' [[HeroKiller killed a superhero]]? Heh. I killed ''several'' special force agents, aliens from another world, ''and'' [[DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu the god of time]]. I've been in the shoes of many roles, including the man who you are filling in. I am the UltimateLifeForm, capable of [[TimeStandsStill stopping time]] and slitting your throat if I so wished. You? From what I see, you're just a poser, unworthy of the role of Gaston. Gaston was a man of arrogance, a man who dedicated his very life to making a woman his by any means.''"
* BetterThanABareBulb: Tropes are either parodied, subverted, lampshaded or deconstructed over the span of three fanfics. Only one of these tropes (writing an OC based off a friend, a fellow author, or even [[SelfInsertFic the author themselves]]) gets justified and played without slander... [[spoiler:at least until Shadow of the Beast]].
* BigBad: Each Blooper has one, sometimes two due to the derail changing the intended BigBad.
** Sleeping Blooper: The intended Big Bad was Chrysalis (as Maleficent), though she gets shot in the head by Van Helsing, so she gets replaced by [[WesternAnimation/ThePrincessAndTheFrog Facilier]]... [[DemotedToDragon only for him to become]] TheDragon to [[spoiler: Orion Cox]].
** Blooper and the Beast: The intended villain was Shadow (as Gaston), but due to him sharing no interest in [[Literature/TheTwilightSaga Bella]] (as Belle), the focus is shifted to [[RageAgainstTheAuthor The Author of the Fanmake himself]]. There's also Forte if you count him as such.
** Shadow of the Beast: Tai Lung (as the Beast), [[spoiler: who isn't actually Tai Lung, but rather [[SelfInsertFic an author who was turned into Tai Lung]]]].
* BigBrotherInstinct: Shadow towards Maria, and by extension, anyone that reminds Shadow of Maria, [[spoiler:as the cast of the Tom and Jerry Movie fanmake and eventually Hershey learn]]...
* BigDamnHeroes: [[spoiler:Homura saves Shadow both literally from Hershey's attack and metaphorically as her appearance reminded Shadow of why he enjoyed Fanmakes.]]
* BittersweetEnding: [[spoiler: Blooper And The Beast ends with the author of the Beauty and the Beast fanmake being silenced and everyone going home, but Adam has no home to go to and he is separated from the one person he truly loved. He gets better in Shadow of the Beast, serving as the new bartender and even managing to convince Megamind to form the angry mob to [[StormingTheCastle storm Tai Lung's castle]].]]
* BookEnds: The first chapter of Blooper and the Beast ended with the iconic "For who could ever learn to love a beast?", and the final chapter ended with "For who could ever learn to love a puppet?"
* BrickJoke:
** The second chapter of Blooper and the Beast notes how the authors believe Shadow could fit in any role. ''Any'' role. Shadow of the Beast begins with him being [[spoiler: a princess]].
** In a chapter of Shadow of the Beast, Shadow proposes using the eagles in a Fanmake of Lord of the Rings, only for an [[DiscreditedMeme annoyed director to point out why it wouldn't work]]. The final chapter of Shadow of the Beast ends [[spoiler:with Shadow using the eagles to fly to Mount Doom and fighting the dragons.]]
* CerebusSyndrome: Twofold. While Sleeping Blooper was just comedic and light-hearted, even when a BigBad is revealed, both Blooper and the Beast and Shadow of the Beast get hit with this, in varying degrees.
** Blooper and the Beast goes in the degree that there are more important plotlines going on instead of just hilarity ensuing.
** Shadow of the Beast has a more traditional DarkerAndEdgier slant, where a major focus is more on the story line than on the parodying. Though the first and second chapters were comedic... until Shadow encounters Tai Lung.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: Orion Cox, in the beginning, was trying to play the role of Phillip to the best of his ability and with the knowledge he was given, and when he got shot down by Kairi, he, [[spoiler: thanks to encouragement from Facilier, becomes the BigBad if only to try and make a happy ending]]. After the events of Sleeping Blooper, Orion is bumped down to just a {{jerkass}}. {{Justified}}, since he's an Original Character without any personality base to be built upon, and so he built his own.
* TheCollector: The BigBad of ''Shadow of the Beast'' is revealed to be this. [[spoiler:Of female Sonic characters]].
* ContemplateOurNavels: Lampshaded when the BigBad of Sleeping Blooper tries to pull a BreakingSpeech by saying how fanmakes will just keep on repeating and that death is a good alternative.
* CombatPragmatist: Lord Shen is more notable to bring in the big guns than Shadow. Justified in his appearance, as he and the other villains were teaming up to take down Tai Lung, who took down Shifu, the Furious Five, and even Shadow himself, and he figured that the cannon would take him out. Shadow likes Shen for this, as he's one himself, but tells him he'd rather have the castle they're raiding be in one piece.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Marik fires Shadow, not because he botched the "One does not simply walk into Mordor" speech (on purpose) or even suggesting the memetic tactic of using the eagles, but by referring to them as hawks. [[SubvertedTrope THEN he starts calling]] [[DiscreditedMeme him out for the tactic]].
* ConservationOfNinjutsu: {{Discussed}} by Shadow, who points out that their fight against Tai Lung isn't going to be like in a kung fu movie, where one guy can defeat multiple people at once. [[spoiler:He's not entirely wrong in that regard, though Tai Lung has a significantly smaller number during the attack.]] Coincidentally, in the same chapter where he points this out, he recalled the time he played Leonidas and defeated Robotnik with just himself and 299 other Hedgehogs.
* ContinuityNod: Two times. Shadow mentioned how [[spoiler:it was hard trying to revive Sonic]] shows that he at least knows about Sonic 06. Ryusei hesitating to finish off Shadow after Maria yells "stop" implied that he went through the regret of [[spoiler:murdering Gentaro]].
* CurbstompBattle: Several happen throughout the run.
** Adam gives one to [[spoiler:his creator]] in the final chapter of Blooper and the Beast.
** Tai Lung gives one to Shadow in Shadow of the Beast.
** Shadow defeats the Persian Army with 299 Sonic [=OCs=] in under thirty seconds.
* CutawayGag: Shadow of the Beast pulls these off in every chapter's beginning, as Shadow is reminded in one way or another of a role he played before, and most of the time, they're funny [[spoiler:save for two]]. One joke in particular had this in the middle of a chapter, depicting the almighty Dracula [[spoiler:as Lucy from {{ComicStrip/Peanuts}}]].
* {{Crossover}}: [[MassiveMultiplayerCrossover A massive one to boot]], though Chapter 5 of Blooper and the Beast is probably a more straight forward example.
* DeathIsCheap: Shadow notes that when characters die in fanmakes, they just get up off-screen. {{Justified}}, since they're just actors rather than just actual death. Shadow lampshades this when [[spoiler:Meteor points out that exact factoid]].
** KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:The reason he notes this is because he saw Muto die in his arms, which shouldn't be possible considering that it was supposed to be off-screen]].
* DeconstructionFic: While most of the time it parodies the tropes of a Film Fic, there are times where they take a serious look at a trope and ask "If fanmakes were made like actual films, how would the cast react to it?". The answer? The authors are more like directors with the ability to act as God and even brainwash the actors into doing a role they either aren't fit to play as or don't wish to play, the characters are unpaid actors who are cast into unfitting roles and are understandably upset by it, and attempts to derail the fanmake, speeding up the fanmake by cutting corners so that they'd be done sooner, or [[HamAndCheese making the most of it]] are commonplace.
** DeconstructiveParody: While retaining some comedy.
** DeconReconSwitch: Inverted for SelfInsertFic. At first, they're a mandatory thing for the author to base [=OCs=] off themselves or other people since it allows the [=OCs=] to inherit their best selves. Then [[spoiler:Hershey shows why Self Inserts are often seen as gross {{wish fulfilment}}s...]]
* DespairEventHorizon: Like the Beast, Sonic crosses this, but not because Bella left him. It's because [[spoiler: he realizes that the author has the final say on when he's back to being a hedgehog, which means that their attempts to speed up the story were all for naught]]... [[spoiler:Though it's revealed that the author ''had'' Sonic act like that.]]
* DisneyCreaturesOfTheFarce: Kairi's attempt to pull off the FriendToAllLivingThings trope ended this way.
* DisneyVillainDeath: Subverted and parodied in Sleeping Blooper, but played straight in Blooper and the Beast.
* TheDragon: Facilier to [[spoiler:Orion]] (though considering how he was manipulated, it could be vice versa), Xaldin to Forte, and Ryusei to Tai Lung.
* EarnYourHappyEnding: A dark take on the trope. [[spoiler:Orion Cox, with the encouragement from Facilier, decides to force marriage onto Kairi so that they can live HappilyEverAfter. He plays Prince Phillip, but his egotistic attitude makes him act more like Gaston]]. A similar thing happened during the raid on Tai Lung's castle, with Tai Lung discussing this trope before he sends The Furious Five to attack. It's ''finally'' played the normal way when [[spoiler:Shadow defeats Hershey. Not only did he gain Maria back, but he retires acting in Fanmakes, only partaking in them to just coach people into playing their roles proper or derailing the story by being themselves. Not only that, but his last fanmake was a Lord of the Rings fanmake, going in the way ''he'' wanted it to go.]]
* ExactWords: Tai Lung said to Shadow that if he ever set foot in his castle, he would destroy him. [[spoiler:He didn't mean it as a NeverSayDie either]].
* {{Foreshadowing}}: When asked to perform a spell, the Enchantress tries to recall a transmogrification spell. As she tries to do so, she lists off some other spells she can do, a memory charm and a shield spell. The transmogrification spell also serves as foreshadowing. [[spoiler: The Enchantress is really Twilight Sparkle turned human with a transmogrification spell, and she has preformed both [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS2E23PonyvilleConfidential a shield spell]] and [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS2E2TheReturnOfHarmonyPart2 a memory charm]].]]
* FriendToAllLivingThings: Parodied in Sleeping Blooper. Because Kairi lacked the singing voice that Buttercup was supposed to give her, she instead had a terrible singing voice. She managed to attract the birds, but only because the voice sounded more like a mating call.
* GenreSavvy: Mostly every main character in the series and even some background characters.
** GenreBlind: Charlie Swan is this to a T, even to the point where he solemnly believes he'd make a great inventor than a police officer. Though this probably makes sense considering that he's LockedOutOfTheLoop, just like in most of ''Twilight'' prior to ''Breaking Dawn''. [[spoiler:Which makes sense considering that it's all but stated that he and Bella were pre-Breaking Dawn]].
* HalfwayPlotSwitch: Blooper And The Beast, near the end, switches focus to the Christmas midquel. This brings the plot to such a screeching halt that [[spoiler:the author actually had to hire three characters who specialize in {{Massive Multiplayer Crossover}}s to go and deal with it. Though Sonic doesn't mind that, since it ends the plot switch.]]
* HamAndCheese: InUniverse. Shadow spends some of his time in the roles hes put in just maliciously poking fun in the position he's in, when he's not [[ScrewThisImOutOfHere leaving the fanmake out of frustration]]. Good examples of this are when he's doing the role of [[Film/TheLordOfTheRings Boromir]] and when, with the help of a [[SuccessThroughInsanity Crazed director]] and Van Helsing, managed to turn [[Film/BallisticEcksVsSever one of the most infamously bad movies]] into one of the most awesome.
--> "''One does not simply walk into [[WesternAnimation/ThomasAndFriends Sodor]]. [[ComicallyMissingThePoint You can take a boat, but you can't walk there]]. It is an island, filled with trains. Trains with the curse of having faces... they are the eyes of Sir Topham [[{{Anime/Inuyasha}} Naraku]], the Fat Controller. But... [[JustEatGilligan If we were to use the hawks...]]''"
* HowDareYouDieOnMe: Shadow says this to [[spoiler:Sonic once he breaks free of the mind control that caused him to mortally wound Sonic.]]
--> "''[[spoiler:Don't you dare die [[ContinuityNod again]]! [[ThatOneLevel It was hell trying to bring you back the first time!]]]]''"
* IDoNotOwn: Mentioned in [[spoiler:[=HersheyEater28=]'s]] MotiveRant, where after he's told that he doesn't own the people he kidnapped, said that the disclaimer means nothing.
* IdiosyncraticEpisodeNaming: Each fanfic has a different titling scheme. The fanfics themselves have the word Blooper replacing certain words, except for Shadow of the Beast.
** Sleeping Blooper has "The [verb] [noun]".
** Blooper and the Beast has chapter titles that parody scene titles (an example is Chapter 5 being called "The Extremely Mandatory Midquel").
** Shadow Of The Beast has the chapter named after Shadow's role in the cutaway gag for that episode.
* KnightOfCerebus: In Shadow of the Beast, whenever Tai Lung shows up, expect things to get heavy.
* LargeHam: Orion Cox, even more so [[spoiler:[[EvilIsHammy when he's the villain]].]]
* LemonyNarrator: This happens on several occasions.
* LetUsNeverSpeakOfThisAgain: Shadow says this to [[Franchise/StarWars Jar Jar]] in regards to the proposal scene.
* LetsSplitUpGang: Chapter 5 of Shadow of the Beast has Shadow and his villain team split into two groups. One group to rescue the captured women and another to raid the castle.
* MeaningfulName: '''O'''rion '''C'''ox.
* MetaFic: Downplayed. They're actors, yes, but towards Film Fics, not their own life. In fact, it's downright implied that the life they have in their works are their actual lives.
* MindControlEyes: Two versions of this. One where there's a red ring around the iris, and another where it's DullEyesOfUnhappiness. [[spoiler:The differences between the two are pointed out by what device is used to brainwash the people with.]]
* NoNameGiven: Played with. Chrysalis wasn't called by name in the show she was in (the comics, however, manage to do so) and so none of the characters know her name and just referred to her as the Hole-y Queen.
* NonindicativeName: The title itself suggests that bloopers are abound, though the fanfics themselves are more about how a fanmake gets derailed rather than the bloopers that ensue in one.
** ArtifactTitle: The first chapter of Sleeping Blooper fitted the title to a T. Then it started to turn into a nonindicative name.
* OffTheRails:
** The very reason why the fanfic was created in the first place was to have a fanmake that went off the rails by doing something that was so obvious to do in the first five minutes that even a guard was able to do it. It's even the goal for a few characters to throw fanmakes off the rails, especially when Sleeping Blooper showed that they can make excellent shows.
** A Beauty and the Beast fanmake actually got derailed because certain details were skipped in favour of getting to the juicier parts. This results in Sonic not acting like how Beast initially was and being nice to both Bella and her father.
** By Shadow of the Beast, derailing a story was expected so much, that Van Helsing created an organization dedicated to derailing fanmakes.
** {{Railroading}}[=/=]TheStationsOfTheCanon: And yet they somehow manage to encounter scenes and plot points similar to the original in question. In fact, there's references to the former trope in the form of train metaphors.
* OhCrap: The Author has this when [[spoiler:Bella's mind shield prevents him from brainwashing her]].
* OneWingedAngel[=/=]ScaledUp: Subverted. [[spoiler:Orion tries to do this, but Van Helsing vetoes this, due to his status as an author]]. [[spoiler:Played straight with Hershey though.]]
* OriginalCharacter: Orion Cox and Adam. The former is a parody of one, while the latter is not. It also gets {{exploited|trope}} by Van Helsing. Since Original Characters have no canonical characterization outside of the one they're given by the author, they can fit any role the author sees fit, [[spoiler:including a coward]].
* ParodyFic: The series started off as a oneshot pointing out just how horribly wrong a fanmake could go and then just continued from there.
* QuestionableCasting: InUniverse. Many times, a character is put into the role that they don't fit in. This gets pointed out all throughout the fanfics. [[AdaptationalHeroism Villains are cast as heroes]], [[HollywoodOld young people are cast as old people]], [[CrossCastRole women are cast as men]], etc. It's to the point that there's a scene in Blooper and the Beast that parodies it by having some of the characters talking about their miscasts.
* RageAgainstTheAuthor: Blooper and the Beast's entire finale is this.
* RememberTheNewGuy: Lampshaded by Sonic when he confronts Forte.
--> "''I don't even ''know'' you! I haven't played you! It wasn't until now that I found out about your existence!''"
* RewritingReality: In this universe, authors, if they have the right equipment, are able to write out stories and have settings come to life within a few keystrokes, even if they're the same stories and settings used countless times. They can also summon characters to play certain roles and can even force them to do something that they normally wouldn't. Though they only seem to have direct control over what the ''story'' is seeing. Anything that's "off-screen" or away from the story's perspective is out of the author's control. [[spoiler:At least for the more modern technology]].
* RightBehindMe: Max utters this when Bella enters Sonic's castle.
* SarcasmFailure: Bella sarcastically tells her father that he would make a perfect inventor, and he takes that as a compliment.
* ScrewThisImOutOfHere: Shadow pulls this off when [[ItMakesSenseInContext he has to literally shake his ass at Harry Potter]] in one fanmake.
* SelfInsertFic: First {{justified}} in ''Sleeping Blooper'', as [=OCs=] are {{Empty Shell}}s that will eventually develop their own personality, [[{{Jerkass}} usually one unfavorable]]. In order to stop that from happening, the author has to base the character off someone... usually themselves. It gets {{deconstructed}} in ''Shadow of the Beast'', where [[spoiler:the BigBad is a self-insert who had romanced himself with several Sonic characters, and by romanced, that means played the role of a prince in a Fanmake to woo the princess, then once the HappilyEverAfter ensues, imprison them and add them to the collection]].
* SmugSnake: The Author of the Beauty and the Beast fanmake. He spends the entirety of Blooper and the Beast setting up everything so that his self-insert can kiss Bella by the end of the fanmake, including turning Sonic into a Werehog and forcing people to make the same moves that the characters in the original film did. Though once things don't go his way, he suffers a VillainousBreakdown as he attempts to get everyone to obey him. Is it any wonder that [[spoiler:his own creation hates him]]?
* ShoutOut: Oooooh so much.
** Many of the character choices are based off actual Fanmakes that had those exact same choices.
** Terra asks Chrysalis how [[{{Manga/Bleach}} a commoner such as her knows about nobility]]. He then realizes that he mixed up the script.
** Van Helsing uses WesternAnimation/TheSwanPrincess to create a motivation for Facilier.
** Orion Cox is just two letters away from [[WesternAnimation/TransformersPrime Orion Pax]].
*** When looking at his fate, he shouts out "[[Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann Just Who The Hell Do You Think I Am?]]", leading to the response: "[[spoiler:[[Recap/TransformersPrimeS2E3OrionPaxPart3 You are my clerk.]]]]" Adam in the sequel says the former while doing a [[Film/ThreeHundred Sparta Kick]].
** In Blooper and the Beast, there's an author by the name of [=DragonKnight07=]. In Japanese, this would be Creator/Ryukishi07.
** "Every being of [Shadow's] fibre is screaming, "[[WebAnimation/PonyDotMov Crush! Kill! Destroy! Swag!]]"
** During Shadow's lamenting, he states that he's [[VideoGame/ShadowTheHedgehog "supposed to be the badass loading his pistol and riding on his motorcycle all while it's set to a badass theme song."]]
** Chapter 5 opens with Shadow recruiting [[WesternAnimation/TheHunchbackOfNotreDameDisney Frollo]] to be [[ActorAllusion the asylum owner]] after he gets thrown out of [[Anime/PantyAndStockingWithGarterbelt The Anarchy]] [[WebAnimation/TheFrolloShow House]].
** The RunningGag of Sora being referenced as Roxas happens when Sora confronts Xaldin. By then, Sora is pretty annoyed by it.
** "[[Series/PowerRangersSamurai Go big or go home, is it?]]"
*** In the same chapter, Tsukasa pulls out the [[Series/SamuraiSentaiShinkenger Rekka Daizantou]] again as Marvelous uses the OOO Ranger Key for his Final Wave.
** Whenever a character is forced to act out of character, their eyes [[Anime/CodeGeass have a red ring around their iris]].
** When the Author [[spoiler: has his VillainousBreakdown, it describes him pounding the keyboard like an [[MemeticMutation angry German kid]].]]
** "[[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS1E26TheBestNightEver And you're... going to... LOVE HER!]]"
** Adam states when he'll stop [[spoiler:regretting his murder of the author.]]: "[[{{Film/Casablanca}} Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon. And for the rest of my life.]]". Van Helsing tells him he got the quote wrong.
** Shadow calls out Megamind for breaking out in a Music/MichaelJackson song instead of Gaston and asks "[[Literature/HarryPotter How dare you stand where he stood?]]"
** Muto and Marik act more like their Abridged Series counterparts. In fact, Shadow even states Muto to be from the show.
** Shadow makes a few nods to the characters in the Lord of the Rings fanmakes, such as the fact that Roleplay/RecordOfLodossWar began as a Dungeons and Dragons session.
** Tai Lung [[spoiler:Or more importantly, [=HersheyEater28=]]] is able to control people's minds through [[spoiler:using a notepad which utilizes crude drawings and is capable of altering memories. [[VideoGame/KingdomHeartsChainOfMemories sound familiar?]]]]
** One flashback has Shadow coaching an actress into playing the role of Shadow for the fanmake of Super Sonico Adventure 2: Battle, with him only ding it as an alternative to having [[Anime/KillLaKill a lookalike]] play the role.
* TheStarscream: Facilier's plan is to take over the kingdom and thus when [[spoiler:Orion marries Kairi, he'll backstab him and rule as King]].
* StockholmSyndrome: Pointed out by Cilan in Blooper and the Beast.
* StormingTheCastle: Happens twice in the series' run... though considering the [[WesternAnimation/BeautyAndTheBeast film the two fanmakes are based off]], it's no surprise.
* SongFic: Subverted and defied on many occasions, with the first being because a lawyer from Fanfiction.net told them that {{song fic}}s are not allowed.
* TakeThat: As well as Fanmakes in general, there's also several towards Sonic 06. There's also one to Twilight and Jar Jar Binks.
* ThouShallNotKill: [[spoiler:Averted, but acknowledged. Adam murdered his author and everyone gave him a horrified look ]].
* TimeSkip: Lampshaded in Sleeping Blooper, where the skip in question sped through the sixteen year gap of Sleeping Beauty and during the FridgeLogic it presents when [[NotAllowedToGrowUp the Powerpuff Girls don't grow up along with Kairi]]. It gets lampshaded again in Blooper and the Beast, in which the entire span of events going from Bella heading to Sonic's Castle to her exiting to save her father was just a day. Yes, that includes the midquel.
* TookTheBadFilmSeriously: InUniverse.
** Kairi and the rest of the Kingdom Hearts characters do this. Kairi in particular, as she always acts out her lines and gets frustrated whenever things get derailed, plot points aren't done correctly, or when the other characters aren't playing their roles.
** In a dark example, Shadow took a bad film seriously too, though serious in the term that [[spoiler:he murdered someone in a fanmake because they were hurting someone that reminded him of Maria. Needless to say, for a guy who treats his acting experience as one massive joke, [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone he regretted it as soon as he called Roll Maria]].]]
* TwoPartTrilogy: Downplayed. Sleeping Blooper had almost no connection to the other fanfics outside of Van Helsing and Orion Cox, where as Shadow of the Beast was implied to take place some time after Blooper and the Beast and stars a character from there.
* VillainSong: Subverted a few times.
** In Sleeping Blooper as Blossom stops the BigBad from singing "This Day Aria", as the song in question is a duet.
** Blooper and the Beast combined two of Gaston's villain songs into one, but even then it gets subverted as Orion couldn't sing the whole thing before Shadow shoos him out. He starts singing a bit but doesn't finish his song.
** Shadow of the Beast had that fanmake's villain (Megamind) break out into the song "''Bad''"... And Shadow simply shot in the air and called Megamind out.
* VillainousBreakdown: [[spoiler:The author suffers this when he realized that Bella and his OC are both equally rebellious.]] [[spoiler:Hershey suffers one as well when Ryusei confronts him over his crimes]].
* WhamEpisode
** Chapter 5 of Blooper and the Beast. While the chapter by far [[BizarroEpisode had nothing to do with the rest of the story outside of a crossover]], it does contain a surprise. [[spoiler:The Enchantress is Twilight Sparkle]].
** Chapter 3 of Shadow of the Beast revealed that [[spoiler:Maria managed to forget Shadow, leave Muto for dead in the snow, and focus completely on Tai Lung, with a heavy implication that she's brainwashed.]]
* WhamLine:
** In Blooper and the Beast, it managed to make an EveryEpisodeEnding into one, as it reveals who a certain character is... That ending? "[[spoiler:Dear Princess Celestia...]]"
** Half-way through Shadow of the Beast, [[spoiler:Judge Doom]] theorizes on what exactly is going on with the recent string of kidnappings:
--> "[[spoiler:Most of these Disney Princess fanmakes usually cast [[AuthorAvatar who]] as the prince?]]
** Another one near the end of Shadow Of The Beast.

* WhatTheHellHero: Shadow gives one to [[spoiler:Maria for leaving her "father", Muto, out to die in the snow]].
* WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue: This is how Sleeping Blooper ends as opposed to Van Helsing RidingIntoTheSunset.
