''Charms Dealer'' is the skeleton of fighting game created by [=KingFezProductions=] on [=DeviantArt=]. It's gimmick is fighting with weapons enchanted by elemental magic by trinkets called "Charms", such as literal water guns or an electric chainsaw.

* EpicFlail: Nimbus from ''[=CD2=]'' wields one.
* EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep: "Templar" is a title rather than an actual name, but he himself in unaware of what his name is. [[spoiler: Upon finding his mother in his ''Charms Dealer 2'' ending, she calls him "Johann".]]

* HandicappedBadass: Between ''CD'' and ''[=CD2=]'', Park gets crippled from the waist down. His response is to meld his wheelchair and gaming MiniMecha.

* MartialArtsStaff: Zephyr's weapon.
* MechanicallyUnusualFighter:
** Levatio, unlike other characters, must "invoke" his charm attacks before using them via a special. Which invocation indicated which attacks can be used.
** Geiger's Charming Climax, unlike everyone else's, activates a SuperMode instead of a singular attack. Undyne's in ''2'' would do the same.
** Marissa must build Charm with a special, rather than over the course of the match. Her Charming Climax also ends in a submission hold that goes until the opponent "taps" or she runs out of Charm.
* MesopotamianMonstrosity: Ninnhursag, the final boss of ''3'' counts, being named for the Sumerian goddess of earth.

* OurAngelsAreDifferent: The original Templar is believed to have been an angel, given he seemingly descended from the heavens during [[DarkestHour The Sack of Rome]].
* OurGhostsAreDifferent: Revenant Geiger from ''[=CD3=]''.
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: Zombie Toxman from ''[=CD3=]'' appears to be the standard "reanimated corpse", lacking a method to turn others. He doesn't even want to eat your brains! (Maybe.)
* PaletteSwap: Each character has 6 colors in ''CD'', expanded to 8 in ''[=CD2=]'', and later 10 in ''[=CD3=]''. All beyond the 2P color are [[ShoutOut Shout Outs]] to other characters/properties, usually themed to the character's weapon, charm, or hometown. [[note]]I'd give it its own Shout Out page if I could...[[/note]]
* PartsUnknown:
** This is listed as Mark's "hometown", as well as the name of his stage. His age is also listed as "A Perfect Circle". Pumpkin is also from here.
** Geiger's hometown is given as "The Russian Empire", more as an indication of his age. [[spoiler: Some of his quotes in ''[=CD3=]'' imply he's from modern-day Kazakhstan.]]
** 86 is billed from "Classified", with an age of "Enough". Upon returning as 86.exe in ''[=CD3=]'', he's now billed from "The Deep Web", with an age of "Fuck You".
** For a purely age variant, Blondie's ages are given as "Almost Legal", "Barely Legal", and "Drink!". [[spoiler: Given how in "Breaking The Ice", she's 22 a year after ''Charms Dealer 3'', we can infer these mean 17, 19, and 21 respectively.]]
** Templar's age is given as "Unknown", but he's also unsure. [[spoiler: ''Charms Dealer 2'' says he was born "seven quadrennials ago", meaning 28 years. His age in ''3'' is given as 30.]]
* ProductionThrowback: Horace, Nick, Park, Levatio, and Sandwichero are all recycled from an aborted previous attempt at a fighting game called "Fighting Mix We".
** Slick Petey from ''[=CD3=]'' comes from this same group, dubbed "Fancy Mike" at the time.
* PsychoKnifeNut: Blondie, although she's more paranoid.
* PunBasedTitle: Charms Dealer. As well as the subtitles for the sequels, ''Charms Race'' and ''Charmageddon'', respectively.
* RealMenWearPink: In a literal example, several male characters have pink palette swaps. Most of these are references to characters who wear pink themselves such as [[WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse Garnet]] for Granite, or Wrestling/BretHart for Paul.

* SharkMan: Maululu from ''[=CD3=]'', a GuestFighter from ''Hot Times On Gladiator Planet''.
* ShipTease:
** ''CD'' featured flirtatious quotes between Charlie and Blondie. ''[=CD2=]'' doubled down on the quotes, and added some flirting between Rooker and [=MacKenzie=].
** ''[=CD3=]'' implied that Ranger and Nonzukiso were attracted to each other [[spoiler: which "Serengeti Jam" confirmed.]]
* SignificantBirthDate: Starting with ''Charms Dealer 2'', character bios now included their birthdays, which revealed this to be a pattern among the cast.
** Charlie's birthday is February 22, same as Creator/SteveIrwin.
** Blondie's is given as February 29, which ties in to her mysterious backstory. [[spoiler: "Breaking The Ice" reveals that her actual birthday isn't far off, being the 27th.]]

** Schmidt's is March 10, date of the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludwig_II_of_Bavaria coronation of Ludwig II of Bavaria]], who was referred to as "The Fairy Tale King" due to his flights of fancy, fitting for [[CloudCuckooLander someone like Schmidt]].
** Eli's is October 6, date of the start of the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yom_Kippur_War Yom Kippur War]].
** Dr. John's is June 14, date of the dedication of the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UNIVAC_I first UNIVAC 1]], which was the first general-purpose computer.
** For a dose of irony, [[CorruptCorporateExecutive Vince von Berg]]'s birthday is December 24, Christmas Eve.
** Levatio's is August 20, which is also Creator/HPLovecraft's birthday.
** Toxman's is January 30, the date of the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2000_Baia_Mare_cyanide_spill Baia Mare cyanide spill]], an ecological distaster.
** Sister Eva's is April 11, which was Maundy Thursday [[note]]The Thursday before Easter[[/note]] in the year she was born.

* TheStarscream: Vince von Berg to Geiger.
* StealthPun: Schmidt, the user of the Moon Charm, is also portrayed as insane. [[spoiler:He's a lunatic.]]
* SwordAndGun: Nonzukiso uses a rifle and a machete in a few of her attacks.
* ThereIsAnother: In Templar's ending in ''2'', after telling him where his mother is, Padre mutters about telling Templar about his sister. She'd later be added as Sister Eva.
* ThrowDownTheBomblet: Rodney's weapon.
* TimeSkip: Two years take place between ''Charms Dealer'' and ''Charms Dealer 2''. Another two years take place between ''[=CD2=]'' and ''[=CD3=]''.
* TomTheDarkLord: The extradimensional beast with a space-slashing scythe... goes by Mark.
** The other extradimensional beast with the void-creating sickles... is called Pumpkin.

* ViolentGlaswegian: [=MacKenzie=], when off her meds.
* WaxingLyrical: Sister Eva quotes "[[Music/{{Metallica}} Creeping Death]]" during her Charming Climax. Fitting, due to it being about the Plagues of Egypt.

** Lumberjack Paul uses an axe.
** Horace the butcher wields meat cleavers.

* WearingAFlagOnYourHead: Paul, Sandwichero, and Eli have alternate colors that are based on their home countries' respective flags (Canada, the Dominican Republic, and Israel). In ''[=CD2=]'', Park gets one based on the South Korean flag.
* WrestlerInAllOfUs:
