He retired from voice acting in 2000 after noticing that his voice had strained, but remained as an on-camera actor, musician and occasionally did voices for video games until his death of esophageal cancer in 2006. After his retirement and then his death, actors like Creator/TetsuInada, Creator/RyotaroOkiayu and Creator/AkioNojima took over his roles. |
