3	Jada Koren Pinkett Smith (née Pinkett; born September 18, 1971 in Baltimore, Maryland) is an American actor, singer and talk show host.

5	Pinkett Smith began her acting career in 1990 with appearances on the TV sitcoms ''True Colors'' and ''Series/ADifferentWorld'', the latter making for her big break. She then moved on to film, starring in releases such as ''Film/TheNuttyProfessor1996'', ''Film/MenaceIISociety'', ''Film/SetItOff'' and ''Film/Scream2''. She has appeared in over 20 films of various genres, which included prominent contributions to ''Franchise/TheMatrix'' and ''Franchise/{{Madagascar}}'' franchises. During the TheNewTens, she returned to television with a starring role in ''Hawthorne'' (2014-17) and the regular role of BigBadWannabe Fish Mooney in ''Series/{{Gotham}}'', while proving she could still be a box office draw with appearances in hit films such as ''Film/MagicMikeXXL'' and ''Film/GirlsTrip''.

7	She married Creator/WillSmith in 1997; in 2023, she stated that she had been living separately from Smith since 2016, and the two have no plans to legally divorce. They have two children together: Creator/{{Jaden\|Smith}} and Music/{{Willow\|Smith}}.

She formed the band in 2002, citing a lifelong love for metal bands including Music/{{Metallica}} and Music/GunsNRoses. The band was originally active until 2006, along the way releasing two albums, being signed to [[Music/KottonmouthKings Suburban Noize Records]] for the second album, and getting a spot on 2005's Ozzfest after impressing Sharon Osbourne, who watched the band perform at a nightclub. In 2011, it was reported that Pinkett Smith was back in the studio in association with her band, now called Wicked Evolution. The band officially reunited in 2021 on an episode of ''Red Table Talk'', with Willow providing lead vocals.

In magazines and interviews, she often wears turbans, not only to cover her scalp, but also as a conscious fashion choice to, as she puts it, "look like a Queen".
