[[https://www.feralinteractive.com/en/ Feral Interactive]] is a London-Based (UK) team of around 100 employees started in 1996, and are ostensibly a Porting House catered towards larger companies for hire, so that Feral can port clients' games to other platforms. The studio originally stuck to only porting games to Apple Macs in the late '90s to the early 2000s.

This changed when Valve released its attempt at making a Debian-based [[Platform/{{UNIX}} Linux]] Distribution, called [[Platform/{{Steam}} SteamOS]] in 2012, which prompted Feral Interactive to start publishing games for the Linux Market too, while still publishing ports to Platform/MacOS, often in simultaneous releases, though there have been a few exceptions. Keeping with the mobile theme, the publishing house sometimes makes iPad and Android ports too.

Their portfolio consists of wide palette of games such as ''VideoGame/XCOM2'', almost the entirety of the VideoGame/LegoAdaptationGame franchise, and have an interesting collaborative relationship with ''Creator/SquareEnix'', with Feral releasing ports of pretty much every game they've made from 2011 onwards.

In 2017, the porting house started to move away from making [=OpenGL=] ports, and instead focused their efforts on using Vulkan instead for ports, especially on Linux, which made porting games easier and for them to run faster, going so far as to make games such as ''VideoGame/RiseOfTheTombRaider'' and [=F1 2017=] '''require support'''.

While the company still ports games to Mac and Linux on occasion (most notably games in the [[VideoGame/TotalWarWarhammer Total War: Warhammer series]]), they started entering the Nintendo Switch market too, with ports of ''VideoGame/LaraCroftAndTheGuardianOfLight'' being confirmed to be releasing, as well as ports of full-fat console games to mobile platforms such as Platform/{{Android}} and Platform/{{iOS}}.

There is also an "upcoming games" page, dubbed the [[https://www.feralinteractive.com/en/upcoming/ Feral Radar]], which often gives cryptic clues about what games they're working on...
