4Carrie Rachel Brownstein (born September 27, 1974 in Seattle, Washington) is a musician, writer, and actress. She's notable for being the vocalist and guitarist for Music/SleaterKinney before (and after) forming the supergroup Wild Flag with her old bandmate Janet Weiss, Mary Timony (of Helium and Autoclave) and Rebecca Cole (of the Minders). She is also know for being the co-creater, co-writer ''and'' co-star of the sketch comedy ''{{Series/Portlandia}}'' along with {{Creator/Fred Armisen}}.
