4 | Born in Watford, Hertfordshire, Walsh was initially a professional footballer before a CareerEndingInjury forced him to retire at 22, leading him to a career in comedy and acting. As a TV host, he initially broke through in the 1990s hosting the UK version of ''Series/WheelOfFortune'', but is best-known for presenting the gameshow ''[[Series/TheChaseGameShow The Chase]]'', which he's done since 2009. As an actor, he spent two years on ''Series/CoronationStreet'' as Danny Baldwin, starred in ''Series/LawAndOrderUK'' and, from 2018-2021, played Graham O'Brien, a companion of the Thirteenth Doctor in ''Series/DoctorWho''. As a singer, he has released two studio albums, ''Chasing Dreams'' (2016) and ''When You're Smiling'' (2017), that reached 10 and 11 in the UK Albums Chart respectively. |
