!!Recurring tropes in Noboru's works include:
* ActionGirl: His movies have a lot of them.
* BMovie: His films scream this more than his contemporaries.
* {{Fanservice}}: There's a lot of naked women in his movies.
* GainaxEnding: Plenty.
* {{Gasshole}}: ''F is for Fart'' and ''Zombie Ass'' take this to almost fetishistic levels.
* {{Gorn}}: His films have no shortage of blood, with most of his effects done by Creator/YoshihiroNishimura.
* GreyAndGrayMorality: His protagonists are either pathetic, or practically sociopaths who bully others, and sometimes his villains are not as bad as they seem.
** BlackAndGreyMorality: That said, some of his villains can be ''very'' nasty when they want to be.
* {{Mindscrew}}: It's easy to say which Noboru film ''doesn't'' have an element of this, with ''Film/RoboGeisha'' being his strangest to date. Just try reading the plot synopsis and try to make sense of it.
* RefugeInAudacity: His works would be complete tripe if they weren't so over-the-top self-aware.
