-->-- Cain Marko, Juggernaut vol 3 #4

The Creator/MarvelComics character of the Juggernaut has had two self-titled one-shots and one self-titled solo mini-series so far.

Juggernaut Vol 1 (1997) was a one-shot written by Joe Kelly, with art by Duncan Rouleau. It's about D'Spayre's sister Spite persuading Cain Marko into helping her fight her brother.

Juggernaut Vol 2 (1999) was a one-shot tie-in to the "Eight Day" event that ran through ComicBook/IronMan, Thor, and ComicBook/SpiderMan at thei in time. It was written by Joe Casey, with art by Terry Shoemaker. The crossover was about eight power mystical entities who entered into a wager to determine who was the most powerful. Each entity would create a totem and the first mortal to touch that totem would be embued with the entity's power -- and, of course, Cyttorak was one of the eight mystical entities and the Juggernaut his champion.

Juggernaut Vol 3 (2020–2021) was a five-issue mini-series written by Fabian Nicieza, with art by Ron Garney. Cain Marko is done with being a bad guy. He's recovered from being depowered and, even though he can't go to Krakoa, he knows he can do some good working for ComicBook/DamageControl. But when he meets a young girl who goes by D-Cel, he'll have to face his past and figure out what his future really holds. Nothing can stop the Juggernaut -- except himself.

His story arc involving the Warden and D-Cel concludes in the Infinity Comic Webcomic/XMenUnlimited2021 where he teams up with Deadpool.

* Crossover: Between ComicBook/IronMan, Thor, and ComicBook/SpiderMan. Since the Juggernaut was one of the main characters, but did not have an on going series like the others, he got a one-shot instead. Which was the climax of the story.
* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: Professor X does this psychically to Cain, since Cain is being possessed by Cyttorak. It works when he gets Cain angry.

* TheAlcatraz: Dungeon Max Penitentiary, a top secret for-profit prison run by Absolution Solutions. Which is actually just a place to teleport prisoners to the Dungeon, which is a prison inside a flying helicarrier.
* AlliterativeName: D-Cel's real name is Miranda Manuel.
* BlandNameProduct: D-Cel has a RoxTube (channel (although other books have called it [=YouRoxx=]).
* CallBack: The third issue includes a reference to The Amazing Spider-Man #229–230, where Spider-Man managed to get the Juggernaut trapped in cement.
* DeadlyEnvironmentPrison: The reason why people don't escape the Dungeon is because it's inside a helicarrier and there's nowhere to go but down. When the Juggernaut realizes this and realizes that he can't keep D-Cel safe, he has her admit to being a mutant, so that Krakoa can intervene.
* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: When Cain finds what remains of the Gem of Cyttorak, he finds that it has basically been ground into dust. So Cain snorts the Gem of Cyttorak.
* HeelFaceTurn: Cain already had his Heel-Face Turn before the book, but he manages to stay on the path (even when barred from Krakoa for not being a mutant) and, in the end, wants to make a whole team out of former villains used by others (like Quicksand and Primus) who'd be known as the Unstoppables.
* HowWeGotHere: The mini-series begins with Cain as Juggernaut working for Damage Control, when the last time the readers saw him, he had been depowered and severely injured (a Darkchylde-possessed Magik destroyed the Gem of Cyttorak). The five issues then include flashbacks back to show how he recovered and got the power of Cyttorak back, but was no longer beholden to Cyttorak.
* SelfMadeOrphan: [[spoiler:D-Cel accidentally killed her parents when her powers manifested. This is why she denies being a mutant for so long, because if she was a mutant, then it was her fault. It takes Cain to disabuse her of this notion and, finally, she confesses to being a mutant to save them both from the Dungeon.]]
* ShoutOut: D-Cel wears a Read Between the Lines t-shirt.
* WardensAreEvil: The warden of the Dungeon certainly doesn't care that D-Cel is a completely innocent girl -- he only cares that now he has a new prisoner to experiment on. This, combined with the fact that there doesn't appear to be a way to escape without getting hurt, compels Cain to ask D-Cel to confess to being a mutant -- because of she was a mutant, she would have automatic access to Krakoa.
