These are the women (and one man) whose mission it is to ensure the well-being of Akademi High School and its students.

The teachers of Akademi High School. Crossing them guarantees a NonStandardGameOver unless you've prepared enough in your Physical Education class. They have very little individual personality, and are replaced the next day with a randomly generated new Sensei if you kill them, so listing them individually is a little pointless.

[[AC:Tropes that apply to all teachers:]]
* ActionGirl: Strong, fast, tough. Do NOT anger the teachers.
* AdultsAreUseless: Zigzagged. If a murder scene is cleaned up before she and the student who told her about it show up, she'll assume it was a prank and walk off. She doesn't bother asking the student more about it. She just pretends nothing happened. But if you don't clean up before she gets there, and there are any corpses, pools of blood, bloody weapons or dismembered limbs, she will call the police and guard the suspicious element, making it impossible to move. If you break school rules, she will send you to the Guidance Counselor. And if she sees you murder anyone (or attempt to hide evidence of your crimes), she will give chase. That being said, she is pretty much completely useless in regards to bullying. Not only does she not stop Musume and her friends from tormenting the other students, but a student can receive public death threats or even [[DrivenToSuicide commit suicide]] without this changing. Heck, in the earlier builds, the Bullies could bully the teachers themselves and they wouldn't retaliate!
* BadassTeacher: If Ayano tries to attack them or if they know that she killed someone, they'll disarm and pin her to the ground within a matter of seconds. According to WordOfGod, after the 1989 incident, all teachers at Akademi were required to have extensive self-defense training.
* BrainyBrunette: The original teachers, who are there at the beginning of the game, are all this in old builds, before they were given unique hair colors.
** Averted for their replacements, whose hairstyles and hair colors are randomly generated.
* CurbStompBattle: Will give one to you if you don't train hard enough to take it.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: The original teachers had brown hair and brown eyes in old builds. Their replacements, however, have randomly generated combinations of hair and eye color.
* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: Downplayed. The teachers are in no way godlike, but they are pretty tough. It's only possible to take teachers down if you have leveled up your Physical stats enough, barring Easter Eggs and mods.
* TheDreaded: For almost every Let's Player out there. When she starts to chase you, there is no getting away. Either she's going to go down, or you are.
* EveryoneHasStandards: If Ayano hangs around in a an area she is not supposed to be in (say, the Faculty office or a class that is not hers while she's trying to teach the other students), the teacher will yell at her for causing a disruption and send her to the Guidance Counselor. Also, she won't take too kindly to attempted murder, successful murder, trying to clean up evidence of a crime, bloody clothes, lack of sanity, carrying a suspicious weapon, trying to steal something, or panty shots. As of current builds, [[UnusuallyUninterestingSight she does not react to Ayano wearing nothing but a towel]] (no one does) if you manage to glitch out of the locker room while nude or use the nude easter egg, but it's safe to say that eventually she won't like that either.
* FailedASpotCheck: Before the March 2nd 2019 Build, no one in the debug builds noticed blood, which could lead to a very bizarre situation in which a Teacher's Pet witnesses murder and goes to get a teacher, you dragged the body around a corner, the teacher arrived, failed to notice the extremely obvious blood trail leading towards the body, and scolded the Teacher's Pet for lying.
* HiddenBadass: They may seem like a harmless teachers, but do ''not'' get Sensei-chan mad.
* LightningBruiser: They are fast enough to outrun a base-level Yan-chan, and strong enough to easily physically overpower her.
* MamaBear: The teachers genuinely care about the students' safety. If you murder someone, they'll come charging at you full-force.
* OhCrap: When witnessing something bad happen.
* PrimAndProperBun: Two of the original teachers (Reina Nabatame and Rino Fukahori) have one.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: When she discovers a corpse, blood, a dismembered limb, or a bloody weapon, the first thing she does is call the cops. If she sees Ayano with blood, a weapon, or just acting suspicious in any way, she will send her to the Guidance Counselor, or, if her behavior is obviously murderous, pin her down and have her arrested.
* SternTeacher: The default personality for teachers. She won't hesitate to call Ayano out on arriving to class late or intruding on the incorrect class, and will send you to the Guidance Counselor if she catches you doing something weird. That said, she seems very protective of her students.
* ThisCannotBe: Whenever she sees a dead body, she'll say this.
-->'''Sensei:''' "No, it can't be...!"
* TranquilFury: Normally, when she's giving chase or when you break school rules, she will shout like crazy. However, if you try to kill her without leveling up your Physical Education stats, she slips into this before [[BadassTeacher pinning you to the ground]].
--> '''Sensei:''' "Just ''what'' do you think you're doing?"
* WideEyesAndShrunkenIrises: When scared... though given that you're no match for her[[note]](at least not by default)[[/note]], perhaps "horrified" would be a better term.

!!Kyoshi Tachikawa
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kyoshi_taiso.png]]

Formerly a celebrity Olympic athlete before being hired as Akademi High's gym teacher. While she does take her job seriously, she gets a little awkward around one student. She first appeared in the "Interim Build"[[note]](March 31st 2016)[[/note]]. Her function in the game is to make it difficult for Ayano to easily dispatch her rivals – during the morning and afternoon she stands guard by the front gate, and during class time she patrols the Faculty Room where the test answer sheet is. She has all the powers of a normal teacher.
----
* TheAce: When it comes to swimming, at least — she has won 23 gold medals as an Olympic athlete. Also, just like all the other teachers, she will put you down if you attack anyone.
* AdultsAreUseless: In the earlier builds, the Bullies could bully ''her'' and she wouldn't do anything about it, to say nothing of stopping others from being bullied.
* AllThereInTheManual: Her personality profile says that she was a former Olympic athlete, hired because of Akademi's tendency to get celebrity teachers.
* BadassTeacher: Same as all the others. Attack her, she'll put you down.
* ButNotTooForeign: With her blonde hair, blue eyes, and friendly extroverted demeanor, she fits the Japanese stereotype of an American or European. However, her name is not the least bit Western.
* CelebritySurvivor: As mentioned, she's a famous Olympic athlete, and since she's generally in relatively out of the way areas, she has a good chance of surviving should Yan-chan go on a rampage.
* CharacterTics: She has a habit of swaying her hips from side to side when standing still.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: The only faculty member who averted this in old builds.
* NiceGirl: She is described as friendly and humble, despite being a famous Olympic athlete.
* OutdoorsyGal: She'd rather be outside getting some exercise than inside doing paperwork.
* PassionateSportsGirl: When she's indoors, she'll frequently perform stretching exercises.
* ThePiratesWhoDontDoAnything: She's officially Akademi's gym teacher, but her routine does not ever take her anywhere near the gym, nor is she shown to teach. During class time, she instead patrols the faculty room to make it hard for Yan-chan to steal test materials to frame and expel a rival.
* PunnyName: Part of her name is taken from ''Kyoshitaiso'' (体操教師), which translates to "gymnastics teacher".
* RealAwardFictionalCharacter: 23 Olympic gold medals.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: With a personality of "Friendly, but Strict", how can she not be?

!!Nasu Kankoshi, the Nurse
[[quoteright:135:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nasu_kankoshi_9.png]]

Akademi High's regular nurse, present for nine of the game's ten weeks. Her function is to keep the player from easily nabbing useful items – tranquilizer, syringe, emetic, etc. – from her office. You can poison a student so they'll go to her office and she'll open her cabinet and get distracted to steal the emetic, but you'll get sent to Genka if she catches you at it. Like the normal teachers and Kyoshi, she ''is'' killable, but her slot will be filled the next day by a randomly generated replacement. She will be absent for the sixth week, with her position being filled by Muja Kina, but she'll return after Muja's rival week.
----
* CombatMedic: She's just as tough to deal with as the regular teachers and Kyoshi if you trigger her.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Brown hair and eyes, albeit noticeably lighter than the classroom teachers' formerly.
* FailedASpotCheck: If you successfully complete the QTE to steal her keys, she (currently) won't notice anything is amiss no matter how much stuff you steal. Averted if you fail; she'll slap you with a visit to Genka's office for touching her butt. This is all only in old builds, because she can no longer be pickpocketed and there is a different method of obtaining the emetic now.
* HiddenBadass: She doesn't look like much and never leaves the infirmary... unless she sees you with a corpse, at which point she will give chase and bust you just like any other teacher.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Her profile states that while she may seem cold and unfriendly, she genuinely cares about the well-being of the students.
* PunnyName: ''Nasu'' (ナース) is the usual way to say "nurse" in modern Japanese. ''Kankoshi'' is a traditional word for nurse. So her name is "Nurse Nurse" or, [[Literature/CatchTwentyTwo more officially]], [[DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment Nurse Nurse Nurse]].
* RepetitiveName: ''Nasu'' (ナース) is the usual way to say "nurse" in modern Japanese. ''Kankoshi'' is a traditional word for nurse. So her name is "Nurse Nurse".
* SchoolNurse: If her name, outfit, and the fact she never leaves the infirmary weren't proof enough.
* WrittenInAbsence: She will be gone during the sixth week of the game to make way for Muja, Ayano's rival for that week, and will return the week after. ''Why'' she will be absent is not yet known, but will be discussed in the final game.

!!Genka Kunahito, the Counselor
[[quoteright:186:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/genka_kunahito.png]]
->''"Don't misbehave."''

->'''Voiced by''': Creator/MarissaLenti

The Guidance Counselor of Akademi High School, whose role is to administrate proper punishment for misbehaving students.
* AllOrNothing: She has ten weeks to [[spoiler:reform the delinquents]] or she will be dismissed from Akademi.
* AdultsAreUseless: [[spoiler:She failed to step in when five students were harassed to the point of near-suicide because of a lack of concrete evidence, eventually causing them to become the Delinquents in order to protect themselves.]] She deeply regrets this failure.
* TheAtoner: [[spoiler:When five boys were being harassed and bullied, she did not help them due to the lack of concrete evidence, resulting in them becoming delinquents to protect themselves. She blames herself entirely for this, and is willing to risk her career and position to help them reform — she has made a deal with the headmaster that if she cannot reform them in ten weeks, they will get expelled and she will get fired.]]
* EveryoneHasStandards: She legitimately wants to help as much as possible. That said, push her enough and she will expel you.
* {{Expy}}: Is said to have been inspired by [[Manga/PrisonSchool Meiko Shiraki]] and [[VideoGame/LeagueOfLegends Headmistress Fiora]].
** She also looks similar to [[VideoGame/HuniePop Aiko Yumi.]]
* HotTeacher: Variant on the theme, in that she's a school guidance counselor, not a teacher. Still, she was deliberately designed to have sex appeal. Her shirt has a plunging neckline which reveals her ample cleavage.
* InferioritySuperiorityComplex: Her SternTeacher behavior all comes from her feeling like she's inferior to her mother, Mae Kunahito, who was the school's previous counselor. Because of this, she is doing her best to imitate her mother's behavior so that she can feel like she is her equal.
* ItsAllMyFault: She blames herself for [[spoiler:the delinquents becoming what they are]].
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She's ''extremely'' harsh and strict, but she genuinely cares, and she wants to take good care of the students. [[spoiler:She failed to help the delinquents in the past, but sincerely regrets it, and takes full responsibility for what happened. She's also willing to risk her career to help them.]]
* MsFanservice: Her shapely figure and flattering outfit definitely qualify her for this.
* MustMakeAmends: [[spoiler:She is determined to reform the delinquents in order to make up for not helping them when they were being bullied by Musume and her friends, to the point that she is willing to risk her position at Akademi for them.]]
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:It's downplayed, but it's made ''very'' clear that she feels this way about how she handled the delinquents in the past. She fully owns up to the fact that her inaction when they were being bullied is what pushed them into becoming what they are, and she deeply regrets this.]]
* MyGreatestFailure: [[spoiler:The Delinquent Backstory video reveals that she feels this way because of her former policy of requiring concrete evidence of bullying for getting involved made it that the delinquents, before they became such, were easily bullied by [[AlphaBitch Musume]] and her GangOfBullies until Osoro came into the picture.]]
* NotSoStoic: [[spoiler:In the "Delinquent Backstory" video, she gets noticeably emotional when talking about her failure to help the delinquents, to the point of sounding like she is tearing or choking up.]]
* PrimAndProperBun: Fitting, considering her role in the game.
* PunnyName: Her name is a pun on ''Genkaku na Hito'' (厳格な人), which means "disciplinarian".
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Her personality is "Slightly Strict", and is described as someone who "genuinely wants to help". Of course, she has her limits where she will stop forgiving any troublemakers.
* ScaryShinyGlasses: Her profile picture has one of her glasses become opaque. However, in the game they are clear.
* SchmuckBait: Using the "flirt" or "threaten" options after being sent to her office. As hilarious as the former may sound, and as tempting as the latter may seem, neither will get you out of trouble. The latter actually [[NonStandardGameOver gives you an instant game over.]]
* SternTeacher: Subverted. Despite being a faculty member with the Strict personality type, and a disciplinarian at that, [[https://twitter.com/YandereDev/status/660174416416915456 YandereDev]] has said that she is a ReasonableAuthorityFigure who genuinely wants to be helpful to the students.
* TheUnfought: She is unkillable – you can interact with her, but she has no hitbox. In fact, you can't even press the attack button when near her; entering her room immediately transports you to the counselor minigame, where the normal controls don't work. Genka is one of only two [=NPCs=] you directly encounter at school who will never be able to be killed; Headmaster Kocho is the other. [[note]]Info-chan's model also lacks a hitbox, but you only interact with her ''in''directly via your phone.[[/note]]
* UnwittingPawn: Can be manipulated by Ayano into expelling her romantic rivals or removing the delinquents as a threat.

!!Kocho Shuyona
[[quoteright:136:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kocho_shuyona.png]]
[[caption-width-right:136:In the present]]
[[caption-width-right:136:[[labelnote:In 1989]]https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yandere_simulator_headmaster_young.png[[/labelnote]]]]
-->''"It… it's you!"''

Akademi High School's Headmaster since its founding in 1985. He was originally a cheerful, optimistic man full of hope, but as the years went by, he became a cynical, world-weary old man.
----
* AccompliceByInaction: He knows [[spoiler:what Ayano really is like because he's absolutely convinced that her mother Ryoba was guilty of at least one murder in 1989]], but otherwise he's chosen to do nothing.
* AmbiguouslyEvil: The Journalist mentions that he [[spoiler:pays the police and media to stay away from Akademi even when there's a crime on campus]]. However, he's also been described as someone who was once idealistic, only to become cynical and jaded. In addition, his WhamLine after [[spoiler:tasering Ayano]] hints at a connection between him and [[spoiler:the Saikou family, who are also AmbiguouslyEvil]]. He could, at least, be an AntiVillain.
** Part of the connection is explained in the already-available Headmaster Tapes — [[spoiler:Saikou Corp is funding the school because Saisho wanted his daughter to be educated in the very best environment]]. What this means for the present, however, has yet to be explained.
* BreakTheCutie: He was once full of hope, but the years have been cruel to him. His tapes show him becoming more and more jaded with each passing year.
* CrazyPrepared: It's no surprise that one of the only people aware of Ayano's true nature [[spoiler:has a taser on him. He also had it with him ever since the news of a murder broke out in 1989, just in case someone in the school did turn out to be a murderer (which was the case)]].
* CurbStompBattle: A "fight" between him and Ayano ''will'' end with her ass on the floor of his office.
* TheCynic: He became one before the events of the game, losing faith in the world and its youth.
* DarkSecret: The final headmaster tape implies that Kocho himself has something to hide, as [[spoiler:Info-chan used whatever it is to blackmail him]]. [[spoiler:It's because of that blackmail that she has a room of her own and absolute impunity. An earlier tape has him admitting to taping someone without their consent, but doesn't go into more detail.]]
* TheDreaded: Seriously. Do NOT get on this guy's bad side. He [[spoiler:''is'' armed and ''will'' attack]]. Actually, the player is already screwed on this front, as he'll [[spoiler:freak out the instant he sees you, due to Ayano being a textbook example of GenerationXerox]].
* EnthusiasticNewbieTeacher: When he first got the job, he was a fit, energetic man who was full of hope. As time passed, however, he has become increasingly cynical.
* FormerlyFit: He used to be in decent shape, but these days he's noticeably pudgy. He lampshades it in one of his tapes.
* GetOut: If Ayano enters his office, he tells her in no uncertain terms to leave.
* TheGhost: Was originally planned to be this before [=YanDev=] changed his mind and decided to make him physically present during regular gameplay – he first appeared on October 1st, 2017.
* HopelessBossFight: If Ayano comes at him with malicious intent, [[spoiler:she will eat taser]]. [[spoiler: The same goes for Ryoba though unlike Ayano he only attacks her if she pulls out a weapon or [[TooDumbToLive brings a corpse to his office]]]].
* KnewItAllAlong: If he [[spoiler:tases Ryoba during 1980s mode]], he'll say that he was right about there being a serial killer on school grounds.
* LaserGuidedKarma: He considers [[spoiler:Info-chan blackmailing him with screenshots of certain folders on his computer]] to be this for unspecified actions he committed in the past.
* MeaningfulName: Kōchō (校長) means "Headmaster".
* ObstructiveBureaucrat: Under his administration, the school somehow convinced the police to only investigate crimes committed on school grounds for 6 hours maximum. This is very convenient for a {{Yandere}} looking to not get caught.
* TheOneGuy: He's currently the ''only'' male faculty member of Akademi High School.
** That said, [=YandereDev=] has stated that three of the current female teachers might get replaced for three male ones.
* PunnyName: His name, Kōchō (校長) means "Headmaster". He's also the headmaster of Akademi.
* ProperlyParanoid: He will [[spoiler:taze Ayano]] merely for coming too close to him. But then again, [[spoiler:he knows she's just like her mother]].
* SchmuckBait: The Dev alluded to this months before Kocho's introduction by encouraging players to try and kill him once he appeared in the game, just to "see what happens." On that same note -- try appearing before Kocho while covered in blood, dragging/carrying a body, holding a weapon (especially ''his own katana you just stole from him''), or do none of those things but stay in his presence for more than one minute. ''Surely'' nothing bad will happen to you!
* StaticStunGun: First shown in [=YandereDev's=] ''Let's Examine [[VideoGame/Persona5 Persona]]'' series of videos, where he is seen in concept art [[spoiler:wielding an [=X-26=] Taser]]. Sure enough, when he was introduced into the game several months later, he [[spoiler:has that taser on him and ''will'' use it on Ayano without hesitation]].
* StoppedCaring: By the time Ayano meets him, he is a year away from retirement and no longer gives a crap about anything, dumping his workload on the guidance counselor.
* TheUnfought: He is one of the only [=NPCs=] you'll meet who can never be killed (Info-chan and Genka are the others) due to his importance to the game's story. Unlike those two, he will interact with Ayano without prompting. Note, however, that doing so is ''guaranteed'' to end very, very badly for the player.
* WeirdnessCensor: He is the only character in the debug builds (at this time) who has a unique reaction to Ayano doing something silly, such as [[VideoGame/MetalGearSolid crawling around while wearing a box]]. Unfortunately for her, he has zero sense of humor.
* WhamLine: The build that introduced him also introduced a new type of GameOver – if you get too close to him, stay in his presence too long, or do anything even ''remotely'' yandere within his line of sight, you will be [[spoiler:tazed into unconsciousness]]. That's not the wham; it's what happens next – instead of any of the standard texts ("Heartbroken", "Expelled", etc.), the red letters read simply "??????????" and we hear Kocho say into his phone, [[spoiler:"Mister Saikou... The deal is off."]] What exactly he ''means'' by this is currently a mystery.
* WideEyedIdealist: When he first got the job, he was a fit, energetic man who was full of hope. However, by the time the game starts, he's become pessimistic and world-weary. 1980s mode shows this contrast, giving Ryoba a friendly greeting when she enters his office, [[spoiler:and only using his taser on her if she tries to attempt against his life]], far from the present day's grumpy old man.

[[folder:Demons]]
!!The Succubus/Lust Demon
[[quoteright:126:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yan_sim_lust_demon.png]]
[[caption-width-right:126:Ara ara! You're a cute little thing...]]
->''"Do you want to play with me? Or…perhaps you want to become one of us?"''

->'''Voiced by:''' Michaela Laws

One of the five demons encountered by using the Ritual Knife.
-----
* BlackEyesOfEvil: Her eyes are solid black.
* EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette: She has paper-white skin with black markings, black hair, and she is a demoness.
* GreaterScopeVillain: There are implications that she may be the biggest bad in the entire game. First of all, [[spoiler:there is something fundamentally wrong with the Aishi bloodline, with each successive female member inheriting a so-called "{{Yandere}} gene" that predisposes them to obsessive '''love'''.]] Second of all, [[spoiler:Yan-chan has a natural ability to contact demons (despite being the biggest greenhorn in the Occult Club, if she joins)]] Thirdly, the Succubus even [[http://yandere-simulator.wikia.com/wiki/Demonic_Ritual?file=Ver22-21-16Succubus.png looks a bit like Ayano herself]] (and is even voiced by Yan-chan's voice actress). Fourth, she is also [[spoiler:implied to be somehow related to Sakyu and Inkyu Basu, due to a mysterious ring that Sakyu has]], and is in the same breath implied to be [[spoiler:somehow behind the myth of the cherry tree, as said ring is only "activated" when the player carries it near the cherry tree.]]
* HumanoidAbomination: Looks more human than most of her fellow demons, but is clearly not.
* TwoGirlsToATeam: As of the October 14th 2018 build, she no longer the only female demon around.
* WasOnceAMan: According to the April Fool's Day DatingSim ''Burning Love'', [[spoiler:humans become demons when they commune with one, and offer a blood sacrifice in exchange for a price]]. It's unclear how canon this tidbit is, but if it's true for ''Yandere Simulator'' proper, then this is the case.
* YouAreNotReady: She tells Yan-chan that it's too soon for her to become a demoness herself, but to be patient.

!!The Fiend/Flame Demon
[[quoteright:210:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yan_sim_flame_demon.png]]
->''"A mortal? Here? How curious…"''

->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/PatrickSeymour

One of the five demons encountered by using the Ritual Knife. His ritual was the second to be implemented into the game.

Also appears in a ''[=YanSim=]''-related DatingSim called ''Burning Love'' as the romance lead.
-----
* AmbiguouslyBi: In ''Burning Love'', thanks to the player character's AmbiguousGender.
* AmbiguouslyGay: In ''Burning Love'', thanks to the player character's AmbiguousGender.
* BoringInsult: In his original dialogue, he said that he finds Ayano boring and wants nothing to do with her. This was later replaced with a speech saying he finds her unworthy of his power.
* BringIt: He tells Sakura, "DO YOUR WORST" when challenging them to make him enjoy their date.
* DemonOfHumanOrigin: In ''Burning Love'', [[spoiler:he says he used to be a normal human, until he formed a pact with a demon to become one himself so he could get revenge on his family's murderers.]] It's not clear if this is canon to the main game, though.
* DoNotTauntCthulhu: He has [[LamePunReaction little patience]] for Sakura's [[HurricaneOfPuns constant flame puns]]. This could potentially lead to YourSoulIsMine below.
* EvilSoundsDeep: He has a very deep voice.
* HumanoidAbomination: Not as terrifying as The Horror, but still a particularly unnatural entity from the beyond.
* KillItWithFire: What his power is. Not even Senpai is immune to fire. [[note]]The placeholder delinquents, however, ''were'', and in old builds they would immediately attack if they saw you possessed.[[/note]]
* InterspeciesRomance: With the PlayerCharacter if you get the Good Ending of ''Burning Love''.
* SuperEmpowering: In the January 2017 build, the Fiend's power-up was added to the game. [[spoiler:If Ayano heats the Ritual Knife and stabs it into the Skull, he'll give her [[FlamingSword a taste of his power]]. If she drags five charred corpses into the ritual circle, he will deem her worthy and give her a charcoal grey gown and the ability to shoot flames from her hands.]]
* WasOnceAMan: In ''Burning Love'', [[spoiler:he reveals that this is the case for all demons. A human can become a demon if they commune with one and offer a blood sacrifice to form a pact. In his particular case, he was born into a wealthy family in 1431, and saw his family be beaten and burnt alive by peasants. He struck a deal with a demon, and got his revenge by making the peasants experience every single thing his family did ''and worse''.]] It's unclear just how canon this backstory is, however.
* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: If ''Burning Love'' is to be believed, [[spoiler:he was once a normal human who saw his family suffer a CruelAndUnusualDeath. After making a DealWithTheDevil, he got his revenge and lost his humanity.]]
* WreathedInFlames: Other than his uniform, he is composed of spectral white flames.
* YouAreNotReady: He tells Yan-chan that she's not worthy of his power, and to come back once she's proved herself. See above for how she ''can'' prove herself.
* YouHaveGotToBeKiddingMe: In ''Burning Love'', if the PlayerCharacter tells the Flame Demon that they're lost, he will be dumbfounded by the idea that a human got lost and accidentally wandered into another plane of existence.
* YourSoulIsMine: He does this to Sakura if their date goes poorly.

!! The Horror/Pain Demon
[[quoteright:226:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yan_sim_pain_demon.png]]
[[caption-width-right:226:Arms removed... Body distorted...]]
-->''Descendants must feel... what I felt...''

One of the five demons encountered by using the Ritual Knife. Its ritual was the first to be implemented into the game.
-----
* BodyHorror: Its arms look like they've atrophied off (though it heavily implies they were forcibly removed) and its mouth is distorted horribly.
* DemonicPossession: [[spoiler:Inflicts this on Yan-chan]], should the conditions for invoking it be fulfilled.
* {{Expy}}: Its appearance – especially its earthly manifestation – looks a lot like the [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaOcarinaOfTime Dead Hand]], although what it actually does is more reminiscent of [[Manga/ElfenLied Diclonius vectors]].
* GhostlyGape: Its lower jaw is stretched so that its mouth is ghoulishly distorted.
* HumanoidAbomination: A horrifying creature from the beyond presenting itself in a ghoulish mockery of the human shape.
* MiscarriageOfJustice: Its dialogue heavily implies that it was on the receiving end of one, being found guilty of a crime it didn't commit then given a CruelAndUnusualDeath that led to its current state.
* NobleDemon: It's a powerful demon who demands sacrifices, and could easily [[spoiler:betray Ayano]] if it wanted to. That said, [[spoiler:it's nice enough to make it so that its dark gift doesn't harm Senpai]].
* PragmaticVillainy: If you manage to give it vengeance, the demon will [[spoiler:give Yan-chan ten hands that dismember anyone who comes close… except Senpai. The Horror is kind enough to spare him from your bloody rampage]].
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: It wants revenge for a past injustice and its arms being cut off. Fulfill that, and [[spoiler:it will be happy to lend Yan-chan a hand… or ten]].
* SuperEmpowering: If Ayano [[spoiler:places a certain number of dismembered body parts into the ritual circle]], it will [[spoiler:gladly lend her its power]].
* WasOnceAMan: Its speech upon talking to it suggests that it was once a normal human who died a CruelAndUnusualDeath. If ''Burning Love'' is to be believed, [[spoiler:''all'' demons were once humans who made a pact with a demon]].

!!Death Demon
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yansim_death_demon.jpg]]
One of the five demons encountered by using the Ritual Knife.
-----
* TheBlank: You can't discern his face.
* GreaterScopeVillain: Implied from his dialogue, in which he comments that Ayano's actions are "feeding" him in some unspecified way, and vaguely alludes to his "plans" being delayed by her presence.
* LivingShadow: Appears like one.
* SortingAlgorithmOfEvil: His dialogue implies that Ayano's presence at the school has delayed his own plans.
* SpikesOfVillainy: Sinister spikes adorn his head.
* VaguenessIsComing: He comments that he was meant to have "debuted" before Yandere-chan and that her presence is forcing him to readjust his plans. The demon also vaguely alludes to her actions (read: murders) feeding him, then concludes by ominously remarking that he'll be watching Ayano in the future, absolutely none of which does anything to clarify who he is or what he's planning.

!!The Spider Husk/Empty Demon
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yansim_empty_demon.png]]

One of the five demons encountered by using the Ritual Knife. Her ritual was the third to be implemented.
-----
* AssimilationPlot: Once the ritual has been enacted, [[spoiler:the leaders of each club will look and behave like the placeholder club leaders]].
* KillAndReplace: Her ritual involves [[spoiler:sacrificing each of the club leaders so the placeholder club leaders can take their place]].
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Has eight of them! Like a spider.
* SpidersAreScary: Her face has several spider-like features.
* TwoGirlsToATeam: After the October 14th, 2018 build, she and the Lust Demon are the only female demons.

!!Placeholder Club Leaders

[[caption-width-right:175:"You have joined the club".]]
->''"Greetings."''\
'''Voiced By''': Michaela Laws

Due to time constraints, [=YandereDev=] included these soulless automatons beginning with the "Clubs"[[note]](February 1st 2016)[[/note]] Update to allow players to try out some of the club mechanics without having to complete a bunch of new students. They are DeliberatelyMonochrome female students with short hair that covers almost all of their face. Yandere-chan can only interact with them as club leaders, and they won't react to anything else. They were later removed as the true club leaders were added... but [[spoiler:you can bring them back in a horrific way if you complete the Empty Demon's ritual.]]
-----
* BystanderSyndrome. The ultimate example. They will literally not react to anything other than Yan-chan directly talking to them.
* CerebusRetcon: From simple administration programs to [[spoiler:a demon legion]].
* EyesOutOfSight: Their bangs always cover their eyes.
* RedArmbandOfLeadership: Like all club leaders, and it's the only piece of color on them.
* RoboSpeak: They have a tinny, echo-y, robotic voice.
* TheStoic: They show absolutely no emotion.
* TerseTalker: No sentence they speak is longer than six words.

->''"You scumbag! What have you done to my daughter?!"''

->'''Voiced By:''' Creator/KellenGoff

The owner of Rokuda Loans, and Musume Ronshaku's father. He is a notorious {{loan shark}}, and a terrible and terrifying person to everyone except his daughter.
----
* DotingParent: He spoils his daughter rotten.
* EvilerThanThou: This piece of filth has ''nothing'' on Yan-chan.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: He's a ruthless LoanShark who makes unscrupulous deals and threatens his clients with violence, but he genuinely cares about his daughter and doesn't hesitate to compromise his business when her life is threatened.
* FatBastard: He's definitely put on some weight since his daughter was born.
* GoodSmokingEvilSmoking: He's an evil loan shark, and [[https://www.deviantart.com/mulberryart/art/Mutsumi-Rokuda-Parents-853040747 artwork of Musume's parents by Mulberry]] shows him smoking a cigar.
* IHaveYourWife: He ends up on the receiving end of it when his daughter (who he's shown to love dearly) goes missing, and the next thing he sees of her is a ransom video where she's tied up, blindfolded, and begging for help. Even if she returns home safely, she's traumatized for life, going from an outgoing, talkative girl to a reclusive, quiet, shell-shocked mess. Even for a LoanShark, that's gotta sting.
* IWasQuiteALooker: An interesting variation in that [[https://www.deviantart.com/mulberryart/art/Mutsumi-Rokuda-Parents-853040747 the first picture of him]] showed how he looked before Mutsumi was born, with how he looks during the game proper not being revealed until January of 2022.
* LoanShark: Predatory loans are what his whole business is about.
* PapaWolf: If you kidnap Musume, you'll find that he'd do ''anything'' to get her back. He doesn't hesitate to release all his clients from debt to get her home safe.
* SlouchOfVillainy: His 2022 artwork depicts him in such a position, his cigar in one hand and a glass of whiskey in the other.
* YouMonster: He says this verbatim when Yan-chan threatens to [[{{Fingore}} remove a finger from his precious daughter for every day that Ronshaku Loans keeps its clients in debt]].
* YoureInsane: He calls Yan-chan insane when she tells him to release all debts while negotiating the safe return of his daughter.

!!"Osana's Stalker"
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/osana_stalker.png]]
->'''Voiced By:''' Creator/MattShipman

A key player in Osana's befriending mission. An otaku, obsessed with ''Magical Girl Pretty Miyuki''; he's convinced that Osana is a "conduit" through which he can bring the titular Magical Girl into the real world. In order to accomplish his goal, he's kidnapped Osana's pet cat in order to force her to come to his house, dress her up as Miyuki, and be his girlfriend.
----
* AndYourLittleDogToo: His obsession with making Osana dress up as Miyuki and be his girlfriend is so strong that he went as far as to kidnap Osana's cat and is threatening to kill it if she calls the police.
* BadPeopleAbuseAnimals: He kidnapped Osana's pet cat so she will come to his house and force her to dress up as Miyuki. He's also threatening to kill the cat if Osana calls the police.
* BrotherSisterIncest: His sister's dialogue over the phone implies that he may have an interest in hentai depicting this. She's developed a fear that he might decide to act on this, and (quite understandably) keeps her bedroom door locked when she's asleep.
* CannotTellFictionFromReality: He's convinced that Miyuki exists somewhere in the real world and that by having Osana (who happens to resemble her) dye her hair and dress up like her he will be able to have her all to himself.
* CloneByConversion: In his ramblings, he talks about making Osana dye her hair pink and dress like Miyuki.
* {{Foil}}:
** To Senpai - both have some connection to Osana Najimi, but Senpai has been friends with her since childhood and [[CluelessChickMagnet unwittingly]] earned her romantic interest, while the stalker only met her very recently, knows very little about her (because he's more focused on his fantasy of bringing Miyuki to the real world), and terrifies her so much that she wants nothing to do with him.
** Their sisters are also foils - while Hanako clearly thinks the world of her big brother and is also close friends with Osana, the stalker's sister is creeped out by him and likely doesn't know Osana even exists.
* {{Hikikomori}}: Described as one by his sister. She tells a friend of hers on the phone that he's been like that for over a year and only comes out of his room to get food or use the restroom. His mother wishes he could just be normal and join the rest of the family.
* IHaveYourWife: He's kidnapped Osana's pet cat and threatened to kill it if she calls the cops on him.
* HostageSituation: He kidnapped Osana's pet cat and told her to come to his house if she wants it back, but Osana knows that once she sets foot into his home, he will never let her leave. In addition, he's threatening to kill the cat if Osana calls the cops on him.
* ParentalNeglect: [[ImpliedTrope Heavily Implied]]. His parents' reaction to seeing Ayano in dark clothing sneaking around their house ''in the middle of the night'' [[HorribleJudgeOfCharacter has them come to the conclusion]] that she is a friend that their daughter invited for a sleepover. One has to wonder if they even know that he's stalking Osana. The discussion they have after Ayano rescues Osana's cat shows them [[BlameGame blaming each other for their son's condition]], with the mother blaming the father for not helping her in raising him, and the father blaming the mother for not stopping to think that his job kept him busy and that raising the kids was her sole responsibility.
* PermaStubble: To go with his unkempt hair.
* ShadowArchetype: Arguably one for Gema Taku if he was 30% more antisocial, [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking and liked Magical Girl Pretty Miyuki]].
* StalkerShrine: Has a wall in his room plastered with pictures of Miyuki.
* StalkerWithACrush: A huge one for Osana because of her resemblance to the main character of ''Magical Girl Pretty Miyuki''.
* ZeroEffortBoss: The only challenge you have to face is sneaking past his family members to get Osana's cat. By the time you get to his room you can just snatch the cat and just leave, possibly without getting noticed at all. Even if he takes notice of Ayano, he wont do anything to stop her from running/walking away. He was later made to attack Ayano if he notices her getting away with the cat, but even then he is not that much a challenge at all.

!!Lola the Hardware Store Clerk
The perky hardware store employee. She sells a number of different tools and equipment that you can use to, unbeknownst to her, kill your rivals.
----
* AmbiguouslyBrown: Or rather Ambiguously White due to her blonde hair and western name.
* CuteLittleFangs: As part of her artwork.
* WrenchWench: she can be seen with a large crescent wrench slung over her soldier.

!!Manga Store Clerk
The cashier of the manga shop. She sells manga which can be read to improve various stats.
----
* FriendlyShopkeeper: A complete contrast to the Convenience Store clerk.
* {{Otaku}}: She's shown wearing a Pretty Miyuki shirt and she can barely put down the manga she's reading long enough to help the customers.

!!Hair Salon Clerk
The hairstylist at Miyōin Salon. She can give you any unique hairdo you want or sell you hair dye.
----
* AmbiguousSituation: Although she's apparently close enough to Ryoba to know Ayano by name, her exact relation to the family is unclear. [[spoiler:It's eventually revealed in 1980s Mode that she's a serial killer who gave Ryoba tips on how to get away with murder.]]
* BaitAndSwitch: The store she's a part of in 1980's mode is at first presented as the same "Hair Salon" as the main game but with different hairstyles as part of her service, [[spoiler:but then it suddenly transitions to black with dialogue that reveals her true nature as a serial killer, offering a completely different service in the form of advice for like-minded killers.]]
* FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon: Could you believe that this seemingly friendly lady, who was a cute girl in the 80s, [[spoiler:is actually a serial killer?]]
* IWasQuiteALooker: While she definitely doesn't look bad for her age in present day, she used to be much cuter in the 80s.
* VillainousFriendship: [[spoiler:By all accounts she and Ryoba have share a genuine friendship with each other, with her giving Ryoba tips on how to get away with murder when she was younger]].

!!Lingerie Store Clerk
The proprietor of the lingerie store. She sells different panties that can enhance different attributes.
----
* AmbiguouslyRelated: She has the same eye and hair color as Umeji Kizuguchi (before he dyed it blonde at least), which has lead some fans to theorize that she is his mother.
* CleavageWindow: Her shirt has one in the shape of a heart

!!Electronics Store Clerk
The very professional Saikou Electronics employee. She sells various gadgets that can be very useful when completing certain tasks.
----
* SciFiBobHaircut: Goes with the rest of the store's aesthetic.

!!Game Store Clerk
The laidback cashier of the store. She sells a number of mini games that you can play at the Aishi residence.
----
* GamerChick: She even plays with a handheld system while waiting for Ayano to make her choice.

!!Convenience Store Clerk
The lazy cashier at the 7/2. She, begrudgingly, sells a number of items primarily intended to sabotage your rivals.
----
* ApatheticClerk: It's obvious that she hates her job and wants customers to stop bothering her.
* {{Expy}}: she's basically a human female [[WesternAnimation/SpongebobSquarepants Squidward]].

!!Rumi the Gift Shop Clerk
The Proprietor of the gift shop. She sells a variety of gifts that can be used to help in matchmaking or be given to Taro.
----
* FakeCutie: She's dressed like a Magical Girl who calls herself Rumi, but if you keep her waiting for too long her normal artwork is replaced with an artwork of her crushing the gift box in her hand with an extremely annoyed expression on her face.
* ThirdPersonPerson: Her character, Rumi, talks like this.

!!Maid Cafe Hostess
The woman who stands outside the maid cafe. She provides Ayano with a means to earn extra money.
----
* AmbiguousSituation: She reuses the Witness-chan character model, which has since been revived in 1980s mode as Ui Tunesu, but it is currently unclear if the two of them are the same character.
* FanserviceWithASmile: She works in a maid cafe after all.

[[folder:Saikou Corp '''(WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS)''']]
!!As a whole
[[quoteright:130:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/saikou_logo.png]]

* AcmeProducts: They are omnipresent throughout the game; there are actually only a few branded objects at Akademi that ''do not'' have the Saikou Corp logo on them!
* AlliterativeFamily: The siblings Ichirou and Ichiko.
* BigScrewedUpFamily: You've got Saisho, the EvilPatriarch who [[spoiler:drove off his eldest daughter by putting her through TrainingFromHell in order to inherit his company]] and [[UnreliableNarrator may have]] [[spoiler:had his third child ''erased from reality'']], you've got the father, whose childhood pretty much came crashing to a halt when [[spoiler:his sister walked out on them, making him the heir to the company]], and you've got Megami and Kencho, who have an extremely unhealthy CainAndAbel relationship where each one of them wishes the other would die.
* CorporateConspiracy: Saisho created Saikou Corp for the purpose of gaining enough power to start a war against the countries that fought against Japan during WWII, during which several of his friends were killed. However, as Japan's former enemies began to embrace its culture thanks to his company's influence around the world, combined with the fact that most of his enemies who killed his friends were either dead or very old, he stopped seeing any reason in starting a war.
* EqualOpportunityEvil: Despite being founded by a person who is a staunch traditionalist and neo-imperialist, the corporation practices absolute primogeniture in its ownership inheritance scheme, designating the eldest child of the owner, regardless of gender, as the preferred heir and putting them through TrainingFromHell to prepare them for the inheritance.
* EvilInc: Are hinted to be behind some nefarious plot that somehow involves Yandere-chan.
* FamilyBusiness: It's named for the family, and Saisho, the EvilPatriarch founder who [[spoiler:drove off his eldest]] daughter [[spoiler:by putting her through TrainingFromHell in order to inherit his company]], but his son got it instead.
* MeaningfulName: Their name is pronounced like the english word "psycho".
* MegaCorp: Described as the most powerful business conglomerate in Japan. Its products are ''everywhere''.

* AwfulWeddedLife: Not necessarily ''awful,'' but there was little love between him and his wife, [[https://www.reddit.com/r/yandere_simulator/comments/7s1fin/question_about_the_saikou_family/ according to YandereDev.]] His son, however, loves his own wife, and Megami would prefer to marry someone she loves if possible.
* BrokenPedestal: Kocho Shuyona used to have nothing but respect for Saisho. Then he found out [[spoiler:he had been grooming his daughter since childhood to inherit the company and disowned her when she refused to follow his demands]]. Needless to say, he couldn't look at him the same way ever again. It only worsened when [[spoiler:Saisho told him about the true reason he founded Saikou Corp: to restore the Japanese empire and get revenge on the West for what had happened to him in Okinawa in World War II]].
* BullyingADragon: [[spoiler:The S+ Ending of 1980s Mode reveals that he kidnapped Jokichi after he was already abducted by Ryoba and tells her in a letter to come to find him. What came after that is left unexplained, but with the next point in the timeline being Ryoba marrying Jokichi, it is clear that whatever he had planned didn't go as he had hoped.]]
* ControlFreak: Kocho Shuyona describes him as a micromanager who hates compromise. [[spoiler:Saisho tried to mold his daughter in his image by purging "undesirable" personality traits and interests, which in his mind, were creating art and spending time with animals. He freaked out when she ignored his demands]].
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: Willing to [[spoiler:put his daughter through an [[TrainingFromHell insane training regimen]] from the get-go, put his son through an accelerated version of his training when his daughter disobeyed him, and [[UnreliableNarrator allegedly]] ''erased his other daughter from existence'' to ensure she couldn't expose his corruption]]. He only values his company far above that of his family or anyone else.
* DarwinistDesire: Looked for this in his wife, wanting a perfect partner with no flaws. He extended this to his son as well by arranging his marriage. [[spoiler:He disowned his daughter when she refused to be molded in his image]].
* DidntThinkThisThrough: His plan was to [[spoiler:amass enough wealth to fund and arm Japan so they could get revenge on the countries that defeated them in World War II]]. He didn't reckon with [[spoiler:globalization or Japanophilia though, and only realized right before his retirement that his plan was impossible because he would be attacking his customer base in those countries]].
* EvilCripple: Due to old age, he uses a wheelchair.
* FantasyForbiddingFather: Deconstructed. He [[spoiler:put Ichiko through an [[TrainingFromHell insane business training regimen]] to purge undesirable personality traits. His daughter instead disobeys him when she refused]].
* TheGhost: While he is important to the backstory, he does not appear in gameplay. [[spoiler:Justified as he had passed away just before the game begins.]]
* IHaveNoDaughter:
** He [[spoiler:disowned his daughter Ichiko when she refused to inherit Saikou Corp. They haven't spoken in 30 years]].
** [[spoiler:Exaggerated with his other daughter, whom he [[UnreliableNarrator allegedly]] ''[[OffingTheOffspring erased from existence]]'' in order to silence her when she tried to expose his corruption.]]
* IWasQuiteALooker: [[https://yanderesimulator.com/img/characters/founder-young.png This]] is what he looked like when he was in his 30s.
* PatrioticFervor: According to Fun Girl, Imperial Japan was to him what Taro Yamada is to Ayano Aishi. [[spoiler:We later saw Saisho confirm this himself to Kocho Shuyona in the final meeting they had]], making this one of the few things [[UnreliableNarrator Fun Girl has told us]] that was actually true.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: His daughter-in-law's bio indicates that he secretly practices eugenics and [=YandereDev=] has said that he views the LGBT community as being a "descent into hedonism and degeneracy". As he admires Imperial Japan, which was for all intents and purposes a fascist dictatorship, it's no surprise he holds onto this bigotry and possibly other forms of intolerance.
* PosthumousCharacter: [[spoiler:Died shortly before the start of the game.]]
* SlaveToPR: Holds several controversial opinions to himself so it won't ruin his company's image. His affinity for Imperial Japan would damage his company's relations with Japan's former enemies. His anti-LGBT stance will not be profitable in the more socially liberal countries of the modern age.

* [[ISeeDeadPeople I Hear People That Never Existed]]: [[spoiler:Is able to hear Fun Girl, [[UnreliableNarrator or so the latter claims]]. Fun Girl thinks it's a [[TwinTelepathy twin thing]].]]
* LikeFatherUnlikeSon: Her father wanted to mold her into his perfect heir from the get-go. She didn't live up to his expectations, and when she wanted to travel the world [[spoiler:to find her long-lost sister]], Saisho decided to disown her.
* RippleEffectProofMemory: [[spoiler:Implied to have somehow retained the memory of her twin sister, but considering we learned this '''from''' [[UnreliableNarrator said twin sister]]...]]
* SmallRoleBigImpact: By the time the game begins, she's been estranged from her family for over 30 years, but Akademi would not even exist without her, and her leaving the Saikou family has a huge impact on her younger brother Ichirou, and therefore Ichirou's two children.
* TrainingFromHell: Was trained to become Saikou Corp's CEO from an extremely young age. We're never told exactly what this "training" consisted of, but it's implied to have been anything but pleasant.

!!Ichirou Saikou
[[quoteright:180:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/saikou_ceo.png]]
The current CEO of Saikou Corp and the father of Megami and Kencho.
----
* AbusiveParent: He disregards his son, outright ''telling him that he's just a backup''.
* ArrangedMarriage: Was in one with Megami's mother, although he is stated to have had a loving relationship with her.
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: Is part of an as-of-yet unknown conspiracy with the headmaster involving the school and Ayano, and is known to use bribery (at the very least) to meet his goals.
* EmptyShell: When he was younger, Ichirou would speak formally, rarely changing emotions or facial expressions. Due to this, many feel uneasy around him, wondering if he is a broken man pushed to carry his father's will. That he was put in an advanced version of his sister's TrainingFromHell which turned him into an empty husk may have done enough psychological damage.
* EvilIsNotAToy: He seems to have some sort of 'deal' with the Headmaster to allow Ayano to do her thing in the school for unspecified reasons, and brushes off potential casualties. This decision can potentially lead to Yan-chan killing literally ''everyone'' in the school, including his heir Megami.
* TheFaceless: As seen above, his artwork shows him from behind.
* FreudianExcuse: Ichirou's childhood was abruptly cut short after his sister Ichiko left, and he was put through an advanced version of her TrainingFromHell.
* TrainingFromHell: Deconstructed. After his sister left, he was put through an accelerated version of this by Saisho. While Saisho's desire of wanting the ideal heir worked, his micromanaging turned his son into an EmptyShell who hardly expressed any emotion.
* WineIsClassy: Invoked in his character image.

!!Kencho Saikou
[[quoteright:174:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kencho_saikou_update.png]]
Megami's younger brother and the backup heir to Saikou Corp, should Megami die or abandon her duties.
----
* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: He mocks and discourages Megami at every opportunity.
* BlackSheep: While the Saikou family tends to be full of corrupt and ruthless people, they also strive to be honorable, respectable, and dignified. Kencho is none of these things. In fact, his [[InferioritySuperiorityComplex lifelong sense of inferiority]] has led him to act out towards other people, taking every opportunity to show off his wealth and lording it over anyone who isn't as well-off as he is. This behavior only earns him further disdain from the rest of his family.
* CainAndAbel: Is hinted to be plotting against his sister to take over Saikou Corp.
* CantCatchUp: No matter how hard he tries, his sister always outdoes him.
* {{Expy}}: Let's see, a younger member of a large organization? Meant only to be a backup in case the original dies? Isn't seen as an individual with his own merits, and only as a backup? Sounds quite a bit like [[Literature/AnotherNote Beyond Birthday, aka BB]].
** Also, he's the younger brother of the heiress of a major corporation that schemes to replace her, much like [[WebAnimation/{{RWBY}} Whitley Schnee]], whom [=YandereDev=] found on Google Image and based Kencho's design on.
* {{Foil}}: To Hanako. While Hanako [[BigBrotherWorship adores]] her big brother and doesn't want to share him with anyone else, Kencho [[CainAndAbel despises]] Megami and wants nothing more than to replace her as the Saikou heir.
* FreudianExcuse: His behavior and character are tied to the fact that he's fully aware that he's just a backup to Megami, making him feel like he lacks purpose unless he can outdo her.
* GenerationXerox: He looks very similar to his father, and [=YandereDev=] states that [[https://www.reddit.com/r/yandere_simulator/comments/77uav7/4_questions_to_dev/ "he imitates his father to try and gain his favor"]].
* InferioritySuperiorityComplex: He lives by comparing his accomplishments to Megami's (which amount to diddly-squat because she outperforms him in everything), leading to a severe case of this. In order to cope with his sense of worthlessness, he flaunts his wealth and status over anyone he considers beneath him.
* SatelliteCharacter: His entire identity and sense of self-worth is tied to his relationship with Megami.
* SiblingRivalry: Has an extreme one with Megami; he wants more than anything to surpass her, believing that to be the only way to earn his father's love - but no matter what he tries, she always outdoes him. She, for her part, tries her best to pretend he doesn't get under her skin, but secretly hates him almost as much as he hates her.
* StalkerWithoutACrush: Looking out the 25¢ binoculars at the sidewalk overlooking the sea shows a Saikou Corp boat, and on it is Kencho himself, looking back at her with his own pair. Why he's doing this is as yet unknown.
* WellDoneSonGuy: He wants his father's approval more than anything else.

!!Wife
[[quoteright:120:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wife_4.png]]
The wife of Mr. Saikou and the mother of Megami and Kencho.
----
* TheAce: She was this, but she just couldn't compete with Saisho. Due to his obsession with perfection and DarwinistDesire, she had to be this to be allowed to marry his son.
* MsFanservice: She's practically naked. The only thing she's wearing is a see-through dress. You can clearly see her naked body through her dress.
* NavelDeepNeckline: Her black dress has a plunging neckline that reaches her stomach.
* NoNameGiven: The Yandere Simulator website lists her as "Wife".
* VaporWear: It's clear that the only thing under her dress is her body.
* WineIsClassy: Invoked in her image.

!!Victim-chan
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/victim_chan.jpg]]
-->"This girl is talking to Senpai. That's unacceptable."
-->--'''[=YandereDev=]'''
A former test rival, used to demonstrate how to get away with murder. Later builds removed her from the game as elimination methods got more complex than 'stab and incinerate body', and Kokona Haruka took her place as the test rival. She was coded with a Loner (then called Coward) persona, as that was the ''only'' persona for girls at that time.
------
* ButtMonkey: Her entire reason for existing was to be killed by Yandere-chan and cleaned up so the police wouldn't find any evidence. Her routine was designed to facilitate that, as she would talk to Senpai (making her a rival in need of elimination) and then go stand near the incinerator and politely wait there all day.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: Both her hair and eyes were yellow.
* FlatCharacter: She was a loner, knew Senpai, and hung out around the Incinerator. That's all we ever knew about her, since she tested some very basic features.
* GirlishPigtails: Her hair was done up in twin pigtails.
* NoNameGiven: Since she was never a real character.
* PaletteSwap: She looked like Koharu Hinata with yellow hair and eyes instead of green. It was downplayed as the game was updated, though, since Koharu's hairstyle was eventually made more unique.

!!Witness-chan
See Ui Tunesu [[Characters/YandereSimulator1980sMode here]].

!!Student-chan
The original NPC students, used in the game's very earliest builds. They used the original, unaltered 'Aoi Kiryu' model, and as such were basically Yan-chan with blue hair and eyes instead of black. Soon after the original school building was implemented, they were replaced by the Rainbow Six.
----
* CloneArmy: They were identical to each other and, with the exception of color, to Yandere-chan. The dev even refers to them as "clones of Yandere-chan" in his video explaining the history of Kokona Haruka (who was added along with her friends to give the school some diversity).
* FlatCharacter: They were more of this than even the ''placeholder club leaders'' - at least the Club Leaders have ''lines'' and their own appearance (and [[spoiler:a demonic backstory]]).
* PaletteSwap: Of Yandere-chan - although technically, Ayano is a palette swap of ''them'', since the Aoi Kiryu model was recolored for Yan-chan.
* TooDumbToLive: In the first dismemberment and sanity meter videos, they would react with fear to Yandere-chan if she was bloody or visibly insane, but wouldn't do anything beyond that. Even if Ayano came directly at them with a knife or murdered someone in front of them, they would just stand there looking frightened. It's justified since these were ''very'' early stages in the game's development - they didn't even have the school setting, just the incinerator and a few walls. Doing anything beyond noticing a scary appearance was just not programmed in at that time.

[[caption-width-right:350:From left to right: Yui Rio, Yuna Hina, Koharu Hinata, Mei Mio, Saki Miyu, and Kokona Haruka.]]

The first true NPC students (aside from Senpai) to be programmed into the game. All of them first appeared in February 2015 and received their current names two months later. On August 18th, 2018 they were removed, with the exception of Saki and Kokona. They returned to the game on October 15th, 2019 as extras in the Buraza Town street.

!!Tropes Unique to the Rainbow Girls
* BitchInSheepsClothing: The ones who were removed at any rate. While Yan-chan can gossip with nearly every NPC student, this group immediately claimed disgust upon hearing that test-rival [[ButtMonkey Kokona]] engages in CompensatedDating, and would exile her to sit on the roof by herself. Even [[NiceGirl Saki]], Kokona's best friend, stopped talking to her. These were the same girls Kokona made a snack for earlier in the week. While Mei, Yuna, and Koharu only acted this way if they found out about the CompensatedDating, Yui… [[TokenEvilTeammate was a different case]].
* TheBusCameBack: After about 14 months of being removed from the game, they returned on October 15, 2019 as background characters on the street.
* DemotedToExtra: Went from interactable students at school to generic background characters in town.
* PutOnABus: Most of them were removed from the game in the August 18, 2018 build, because they weren't contributing anything to the game and [=YandereDev=] wanted to free up room for more important characters -- only Kokona and Saki remained. That said, [=YandereDev=] would like to bring them back if he can improve the game's performance.
* TwoFirstNames: WordOfGod has confirmed that the "Rainbow Six" were named from a list of the most popular Japanese girls names in 2012.
* WithFriendsLikeThese: The other Rainbow Girls cut ties with Kokona and evidently participated in bullying her once it came out – thanks to Yan-chan – that she was essentially prostituting herself. It is not known whether they simply didn't know about [[spoiler:her father's debt problem (in which case, one must wonder why, if they were her friends, it never occurred to them to ''ask'' Kokona why she would do this)]], or they ''did'' know and cut her off anyway. Either way… ouch. In the specific case of Saki, [=YanDev=] implied that she gave up trying to protect her best friend to avoid becoming a target of bullying herself.

!!Mei Mio
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mei_mio_september_2017.png]]

->''"Wow...that's pretty gross...I expected better from Kokona-chan..."''

A former Junior-year student at school (Class 2-2). She was a Teacher's Pet and a member of the Cooking Club. Her hair and eyes are cobalt blue.
-----
* AlliterativeName: Both her first and last name started with an 'm'.
* AnimeHair: Cobalt blue with [[IdiotHair ahoge]].
** Prior to her first redesign, she wore her hair in ''three'' ponytails.
* BespectacledCutie: [[http://druelbozo.deviantart.com/art/Yandere-Simulator-Mei-Meo-605604128 An image]] posted by Druelbozo (one of the game's now-former modellers) shows her with blue reading glasses. As of the 9/1/2017 update, she wore glasses in-game, too. As a shy, studious Teacher's Pet, she fit the stereotype.
* HiddenDepths: Used to be in the Light Music Club. One wonders what instrument she played.
** Prior to the November 2015 update, she was [[CallToAgriculture in the Gardening Club]].
** [[invoked]][[WordOfSaintPaul Druelbozo]] heavily implied she was a bit of a bookworm by giving her a pair of reading glasses and a stereotypical librarian's hairstyle. WordOfGod later [[StealthReveal quietly]] confirmed this by giving her the Teacher's Pet persona.
* IdiotHair: Subverted. She had a strand of hair sticking up that was tall enough to be cut off by her profile picture. However, being a studious bookworm, she was precisely the opposite of the associated stereotype.
* PrimAndProperBun: It's difficult to see in her profile pic, but her hair (aside from the ahoge) was pulled back into one of these as of her second hair redesign.
* TeachersPet: She was the only female student with this persona until the science club was added.

!!Koharu Hinata
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/koharu_hinata.png]]

->''"Seriously? I didn't think there would be anyone like that in our school..."''

A former second-year student at school, in class 2-1, the same class as Ayano. She was a Social Butterfly and a member of the Cooking Club. Her hair and eyes are green.
-----
* BadassBystander: Up until the February 1st 2016 build, she had the Hero persona – the only person outside the Martial Arts Club to have that trait. Keep in mind that, unlike the Martial Arts Club members, she most likely didn't have any training whatsoever, but she'd still attempt to take Yan-chan down anyway.
* GirlishPigtails: Color aside, Koharu had probably the most "normal" hairstyle of any girl at that time, aside from Yan-chan.
* HiddenDepths: An unusual case of ''losing'' these as development continued.
** She was originally in the Photography Club and appeared to be quicker to notice Yan-chan taking {{panty shot}}s than the other students.
** From the "School Redesign"[[note]] (2015-11-15)[[/note]] build to the "Personalities & Photography"[[note]] (2016-02-01)[[/note]] build, she was coded as a Hero, the only student ''not'' in the Martial Arts Club to be one. If she saw Yan-chan murder or drag a body, she'd jump in to stop her personally. However, she later lost that unique personality.
* TookALevelInBadass: Meta example. Originally, she was just a Loner like every other girl at the school at the time, but from November 2015 to February 2016 she had a Heroic personality, and would fight Yan-chan if triggered. Inverted in later builds, however, as she eventually became a Social Butterfly.

->''"I wasn't sure if I should say anything about it, but I saw her doing that last week, too..."''

A former first-year student at school, in Class 1-2. She was a Social Butterfly and a member of the Cooking Club. Her hair and eyes are yellow.
-----
* FashionableAsymmetry: Wore her ponytail on the left side of her head.
* HiddenDepths: In the earliest builds, she was in the Science Club, implying she was a bit of a nerd.

!!Yui Rio
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yui_rio_mar_18.png]]

->''"They had it coming! Don't worry — I won't tell anyone what I saw."''

A former first-year student at school, in Class 1-1. She was a member of the Cooking Club and had the "Spiteful" personality trait, meaning that she would approve of murder if the victim was someone she disliked (otherwise, she would act like a Loner). Her hair and eyes are fire-engine red.
-----
* AmbiguouslyGay: In a full-body reference photo of the Rainbow Six, she is shown trying to grab Yuna's butt.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: She was given the Evil persona in February 2016. If she saw you commit murder, she would express her approval. However, she would still stop talking to you, because she didn't want to be considered an accomplice if you got caught. WordOfGod has also said that she probably didn't actually like the rest of the Rainbow Six, and only spent time with them as a form of social protection.
** Downplayed after the 'Evil' persona was re-defined as Spiteful, after which she would only approve of the murder of someone who bullied her or was particularly unpopular.
* EvilRedhead: Had bright red hair, and would be impressed and excited if she saw you kill someone she didn't like.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: While she may smirk and grin at you murdering a student she apparently will not bully anyone as to when the Bullies were being introduced [[WordOfGod Yandere Dev]] had said she would not bully another student.
* FalseFriend: She may hang out with the other "Rainbow Girls", and they may think that she is their friend, but she would still turn on any one of them who developed a low reputation.
* FashionableAsymmetry: Wore her ponytail on the right side of her head.
* FingerTenting: Did this when she spotted the body of someone she hated, along with [[PsychoticSmirk the mother of all smirks]].
* {{Hypocrite}}: She would hate anyone who bullied her, but she would also have NoSympathy for a bullied student, even if she had also been bullied by the same people.
* HazyFeelTurn: She went from being evil, approving of ''any'' murder she saw, and promising to keep your secret safe, to being spiteful, only approving of some murders, and shockingly calling the cops when other students were killed. She was still a kitten-hating jerk, and the category of murders she would approve of included any student unpopular enough to be bullied, even if said students were her friends. So while she may not have been ''as'' cruel and heartless as previously, she was still by no means a good person.
* {{Jerkass}}: There was never much evidence of this in-game, persona aside. ''Outside'' the game, though, the Dev's own artists built this up as a defining part of Yui's personality.
** Some of [[WordOfSaintPaul Druelbozo's pictures]] imply she had a habit of picking on the rest of the Rainbow Six. [[https://druelbozo.deviantart.com/art/Yandere-Simulator-Rainbow-six-604509073 One]] full-body reference of the group shows her reaching out to Yuna in what was described as "getting that booty." [[http://druelbozo.deviantart.com/art/Yandere-Commission-Button-Up-shirts-616653643 Another]] commissioned work shows Yui stealing Mei's glasses.
** An [[http://beedrops.tumblr.com/post/146661963350/extra-that-i-never-posted-since-a-surprising unused picture from the bucket-based update video]] shows this; while everyone else reacts with disgust after Yan-chan splashes liquids on Kokona, Yui smiles and gives a thumbs-up.
** Then there's [[http://c-h-coffee-fox.tumblr.com/post/147069544650/this-kokona-is-on-fire this fanart]] (featured on Dev's blog) of Kokona burning to death. While most of the girls are backing away in horror, Yui smirks as she snaps a photo with her cellphone.
* KindheartedCatLover: Inverted. She was Spiteful and hated cats.
* NoSympathy: For anyone bullying her or any unpopular students, if you killed them.
* PetTheDog:
** She would boost your reputation if you complimented her or gave her an octodog. Seems she wasn't the completely ungrateful type at least.
** She would show shock if anyone she does ''not'' dislike got murdered, and would call the cops and try to convince others that Ayano is a killer.
* PsychoLesbian: Aside from the fact that she, [[EvenTheGirlsWantHer like the other girls]], could become attracted to Yan-chan if Yan-chan maxed out her seduction, there's also the promo art of her trying to grope Yuna's butt.
* PsychoticSmirk: Had one if she saw Yan-chan murder someone she didn't like, as well as the first time you encountered her the following day.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Her eyes were red, and she had a Spiteful persona, meaning you could kill certain people in front of her and she wouldn't do a thing.
* TextileWorkIsFeminine: In some late-2015-era builds, she was in the Sewing Club (which no longer exists).
* TokenEvilTeammate: She was the only member of the Rainbow Six who was Spiteful.

[[folder:Rainbow Boys]]
The first six NPC boys (aside from Senpai) to be added into the game, back in Spring 2015. Like the Rainbow Girls, they all have TwoFirstNames. On August 18th, 2018 they were all removed except Riku.

-----
* AlliterativeName: Both his first name and his last name start with an 'h'.

A former freshman student, in Class 1-2. His hair and eyes are yellow.

* TheGenericGuy: Even by the Rainbow Boys' standards, he didn't really stand out - his hair color wasn't that farfetched to a Westerner's eyes, and its style was extremely common. His only real personality trait was that he was a fanboy of MagicalGirl shows like ''Magical Girl Pretty Miyuki'' - and after he was removed, this trait was given to a member of the Science Club instead.
* HiddenDepths: Despite his plain appearance, he was actually a massive {{Otaku}} and interested in ''Magical Girl Pretty Miyuki''.

->"I like the bikini model. She's my favorite character."

A former first-year student at school, Class 1-1. His hair and eyes are red, and he had the "Spiteful" persona - the only boy in school who did at the time.
-----
* AllMenArePerverts: He agreed to check out the show that Sota had been recommending to him only after Sota told him that one of the characters is a "[[MsFanservice swimsuit model who's really busty]]". His favorite episode was the one where "[[HotSpringsEpisode they went to the hot springs]]," and the bikini model was his favorite character; he wanted her to get more screentime in Season 2.
* EvilRedhead: He had red hair and was a Spiteful student.
* EvilSoundsDeep: He had a deeper voice than Sota.
* FaceHeelTurn: A meta-example. Unlike his female counterpart Yui Rio, who had always been Evil, Haruto started as a perfectly normal Teacher's Pet before having his persona changed to Evil and then Spiteful.
* FieryRedhead: Shown multiple times throughout development.
** He was originally in the Martial Arts Club before its real members were implemented in November 2015.
** In that same build, he was used to demonstrate what happens if a boy witnesses Yan-chan commit murder and she gets away with it. He told Yan-chan ''to her face'' that he was going to tell everyone he can what she did (which will constantly drain her reputation).
** As of September 2017, he was given the "Evil" personality type, which was fiery in its own way. (This was changed in March 2018 to the "Spiteful" personality).
* HiddenDepths: He may have seemed like any other generic Rainbow Boy, but his Spiteful personality meant that he would have no problem with the murder of anyone he didn't like.
** His conversations with Sota showed that he had pretty high standards on anime, and didn't like it when shows start out bad just so they can surprise the audience later on.
* NoSympathy: For anyone he hated and saw murdered.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: He had red eyes and a "Spiteful" persona.
* SpearCounterpart: To Yui Rio - much more so than the other boys were to their female equivalents. They had always been in the same class, usually in the same club (until Yui was moved to Cooking to test out the Framing mechanic), and were originally the only two students in the entire game with Spiteful personas.
* TokenEvilTeammate: He was the only Rainbow Boy - and originally the only male student - with a Spiteful personality.

->"The first tragedy. A beautiful flower plucked far too soon. She cannot yet rest."
-->-A quote for her profile on the ''[=YanSim=]'' website.

This is a ghostly apparition that can sometimes be seen when you try to take a picture with your phone in the east third floor girls' bathroom. She figures very heavily in the game's backstory.

For her 1980's incarnation back when she was alive, see Sumire Saitozaki [[Characters/YandereSimulator1980sMode here]].
-----
* AntiVillain: If she were to be implemented and you were playing Ayano as an AntiHero, she would be this, [[RevengeByProxy as she would be trying to steal Ayano's senpai out of spite for what her mother Ryoba had done]], something that Ayano had no control over. That, and she would be doing it in spite of the fact that Ayano had done nothing bad herself at all and had in fact been helping out a lot of students. There would also be the fact that she would just be using her senpai and wouldn't really care about them.
* BoyMeetsGhoul: It's been pitched that she may become a rival in a DLC if the game does well. If a female senpai is able to be used, it would be Girl Meets Ghoul.
* CampingACrapper: She [[spoiler:was killed by Ryoba Aishi in the girl's bathroom, and now haunts it. She was led there by Ryoba]].
* CreepyChild: Is[[note]] (well, '''''was''''')[[/note]] a teenager, and wherever you take a photo she'll always be looking at you.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindows: She had reddish-gold eyes in life to go with her auburn hair. It is basically a more... ''lively'' version of her.
* EasterEgg: A rather creepy one.
* {{Expy}}: She's a reference to the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanako-san Hanako-san]] UrbanLegend (which is the equivalent of the Western "Bloody Mary").
* FanDisservice: Because [[ClothingDamage her clothes are ripped up]], it's actually fairly easy to see her panties. Thing is, she's a monstrous-looking ghost girl.
* GhostlyGoals: If the planned DLC mission pack happens, she will get a physical form and will romance Senpai in revenge for [[spoiler:what Ayano's mother did in the past]]. Dev suggests that the Occult Club will be able to help you out with the ghost problem, because you won't be able to kill the Phantom Girl normally.
* HeroAntagonist:
** Her being one of these is what led to her death.
** If the game sells well enough to justify it, [=YandereDev=] would like to add a DLC bonus mission where she becomes Yan-chan's rival for Senpai's affections. Unless you were playing Ayano as an AntiHero, in which case the Phantom Girl would be an AntiVillain.
* HitodamaLight: Has two blue flames floating nearby her, indicating her status as a ghost.
* JacobMarleyApparel: She wears a school uniform. It is noticeably tattered.
* LosingAShoeInTheStruggle: Implied. If you look at her picture again, you'll notice she's missing a shoe.
* MurderTheHypotenuse: [[spoiler:Was the first rival that Ryoba ever killed. The Journalist reveals in one of his secret tapes that he learned the poor girl had a crush on Jokichi Yudasei, who would eventually become Mr. Aishi]].
* OurGhostsAreDifferent: She can only be seen through cameras. Her appearance is heavily inspired by Japanese ghost stories – note the two HitodamaLight followers and ''hitaikakushi''. She also has yellow eyes, pale skin, and a shadowed face.
* {{Revenge}}: WordOfGod says that a future DLC may focus on her attempt. How would she do it? By manifesting a physical form and trying to steal Senpai personally.
* SpookyPhotographs: You can only see her by taking a photograph in the girl's bathroom on the third floor.
* SupernaturalGoldEyes: Has one (her left) that glows brightly.
* VengefulGhost: The oficial website states that because she was aware of her brutal death at the hands of Ryoba, she was unable to pass on to the afterlife and became a restless spirit who wants to get revenge on her killer. It's implied that she is the reason why the lights of the bathroom she haunts don't work in the present day.

!!Mr. Jazzy Feet
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mr_jazzy_feet.png]]
The Light Music Club's pet turtle.
-----
* AdorableAbomination: This cute little turtle can warp reality in the debug builds.
* EldritchAbomination: In the debug builds (and only there), he's a [[RealityWarper reality-warping]] terrapin who can summon victims and weapons for a murderous {{Yandere}}, as well as somehow [[KarmaHoudini pardon her]] for her crimes.
* KarmaHoudini: He can invoke this trope regarding Ayano if she prays to him.
* {{Mascot}}: For the Light Music Club.
* PhysicalGod: In the debug builds, he grants Yan-chan various sanity mechanic-related boons if she prays to him. This includes "forgiving" her sins.
* RealityWarper: In the debug builds, praying to him allows you to test out the sanity mechanic. He can also summon weapons and easy victims to her, as well as remove incriminating evidence.
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: Such an adorable little PhysicalGod.
* ShoutOut: Like the Light Music Club itself, Mr Jazzy Feet is a thinly-veiled homage to ''Manga/KOn''.
* TeamPet: For the Light Music Club.
* YourTomcatIsPregnant: [[WordOfSaintPaul According to modeler Druelboso]], [[https://comments.deviantart.com/1/606697482/4204325877 "he" is actually female]], and was named such by high school girls who didn't check her gender.

!!Robot-chan
[[quoteright:179:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/robot_chan.png]]
A gynoid being built by Homu Kurusu, who stands on a platform in the Science Club room all day.
----
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: She has short green hair and green eyes.
* ExorcistHead: She is capable of turning her head 360 degrees, as shown in the club benefits video.
* {{Expy}}: Her green hair and eyes and antenna ears make her resemble Chachamaru Karakuri from ''Manga/NegimaMagisterNegiMagi''.
* ReplacementGoldfish: Rumored to be based on Homu's deceased twin sister.
* RobotAntennae: Has them.
* RobotGirl: Is one.
* SciFiBobHaircut: She has a short bob cut with bangs.

!![=Selene2005=]
A fan of a fictional game called ''Moonlit Warrior Selene'' who regularly chats with you upon finding their server.
----
* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: InUniverse, they ask you to judge them at the end of their Friday conversation. You can tell them [[WellIntentionedExtremist they have good intentions but need to grow up before they hurt someone]], [[NecessarilyEvil they might just be the only hope for the world]], or [[YoureInsane they're an insane psychopath looking for an excuse to commit murder]].
* AmbiguousGender: Their true gender is not yet revealed.
* GuideDangIt: They have a fifth conversation with you on Friday night, but you can't reach it in normal gameplay since the game ends Friday afternoon. In order to reach the last conversation, you have to use the ~ debug command to change the time from morning to night.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Well, OnlineAlias. Their nickname is just the protagonist of their favorite game along with "2005".
* PlaceboEurekaMoment: They come to a conclusion about how to change the world by bouncing their ideas off of you.
* TheseusShipParadox: Brings this up as an alternative discussion topic after they promise to not bring up their… usual preferred topic.
* UtopiaJustifiesTheMeans: At the end of their conversations with you, they decide that the only way to fix the world’s problems is to commit a genocide of evil people.
* VigilanteMan: Displays the inclination that it would be perfectly justifiable for someone to take the law into their own hands if there was no other choice.
* VillainOfAnotherStory: Possibly. [[WordOfGod YandereDev]] states that they aren't relevant to ''Yandere Simulator'''s story, but concerns something that won't happen until after the story. [=YandereDev=] also states that they are related to the Enlightenment stat, which is raised by reading ''Life Note'' manga, and unlocks an EasterEgg that allows the player to learn more about a game [=YandereDev=] started working on several years before he started working on ''Yandere Simulator''.

!!Beldere-chan
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/beldere.png]]
->''"Die, monster! You don't belong in this school!"''

->'''Voiced By:''' Michaela Laws

The protagonist of ''[[VideoGame/CastlevaniaSymphonyOfTheNight Yanvania: Senpai of the Night]]''. She is a student of the Akademi Institute, a boarding school that teaches magic to young men and women who have high potential to become witches and wizards. The upperclassman who she has a crush on resurrected the powerful succubus Dracula-chan, causing all the students to disappear. Beldere-chan must defeat Dracula-chan before the sun rises, for if the quest is failed, the students will be lost forever and Dracula-chan will achieve full power.
-----
* AdaptationalHeroism: Beldere-chan is not a psychopath, unlike Yan-chan. [[PetTheDog While she loves her Senpai, she cares about the other students as well, and does not wish to harm them]].
* ThePowerOfLove: Many of her attacks have a love-based theme, and the only reason she stands a chance against Dracula-chan is because she loves her Senpai so much.
* WeaponSpecialization: Like the hero she is a parody of, her main weapon of choice is a whip. The only difference is that it's made of hearts.

!!Dracula-chan
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dracula_chan.png]]
->''"What is a Senpai? A miserable little pile of heartbreak! But enough talk...have at you!"''

->'''Voiced By:''' Cayla Martin

''Yanvania''[='=]s antagonist. Every 100 years, Dracula-chan will rise from her grave, begging for a blood tribute from a upperclassman at Akademi Institute. If the student complies, all of the students will disappear. Only a young woman who was in love with the upperclassman can defeat her.
-----
* AdaptationalVillainy: She looks a lot like Sakyu Basu from the main game. However, unlike Sakyu, who seems like a fundamentally decent person, Dracula-chan has no qualms about making every student bar the upperclassman who made the pact with her disappear.
* FemaleMisogynist: Implied to be this. When Beldere-chan accuses her of stealing boys' hearts and making them her slaves, she responds with "perhaps the same could be said of all girls".
* OurVampiresAreDifferent: She's technically a succubus, rises only once every 100 years, and it's not specified if this blood tribute involves actually drinking blood. There's also all her magical powers. She is, of course, based on ''Franchise/{{Castlevania}}''[='=]s Dracula.
* {{Stripperiffic}}: Her costume doesn't leave much to the imagination, as befitting a succubus.
* ThisCannotBe: Says the phrase word for word as Beldere-chan kills her.

!!Miyuki
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/magicalmiyuki.png]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Lizzy Hofe
The heroine of ''[[ShowWithinAShow Magical Girl Pretty Miyuki]]''. She's the most popular girl in her school, but that doesn't mean too much when most other magical girls are celebrities with audiences of millions.
-----
* AlwaysFemale: Only women can see the monsters that magical girls face.
* [[NoRespectGuy No Respect Girl]]: Most other magical girls don't take Miyuki seriously, since she's so weak compared to most of them.
* PinkIsFeminine: She has a pink color scheme, as is traditional for magical girl heroines.
* PopularityPower: It's what empowers magical girls, and while Miyuki has a lot of it for a high schooler, compared to pop idols and other international celebrity magical girls, it really isn't much.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: She's not much more than a background detail in the game, but [[spoiler:she resembles Osana enough for a LoonyFan of the series to start stalking the poor girl.]]
* WeakButSkilled: Miyuki doesn't have the raw power that other magical girls have, since she's only a high schooler.

!!Sakura

-->''"Who is he? Why is his head on fire??"''
-->''"...and why do I feel like seriously making out with him?"''

The protagonist of the AprilFoolsDay DatingSim spinoff, ''Burning Love''. She [[AmbiguousGender (or he)]] is a student who encounters the Flame Demon in the Occult Club room and tries to "woo" him.
-----
* AmbiguouslyBi: Because of their AmbiguousGender and the fact that they are attracted to the male Flame Demon. See the Flame Demon's entry above.
* AmbiguouslyGay: Because of their AmbiguousGender and the fact that they are attracted to the male Flame Demon. See the Flame Demon's entry above.
* AmbiguousGender: Although signs point to them being a girl.
* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: If Sakura can successfully seduce the Flame Demon, the options presented for their next date are as follows;
** [[spoiler:[[KillItWithFire Kill everyone at my school with fire]].]]
** [[spoiler:[[TakeOverTheWorld Conquer the demon realm]].]]
** [[HormoneAddledTeenager Make out. Super hard]].
* DealWithTheDevil: They strike a deal with the Flame Demon; if they fail to "woo" him, he will [[YourSoulIsMine claim their soul]]. If he enjoys the date, he'll be their boyfriend.
* DidYouJustRomanceCthulhu: Their primary objective in the story is to "woo" the Flame Demon.
* DoNotTauntCthulhu: [[spoiler:Sakura's soul will be taken if the Flame Demon does not appreciate the flame puns.]]
* ForTheEvulz: [[spoiler:They think that a murderous rampage of fire is a good idea for a second date.]]
* GenderInclusiveWriting: The default name is a traditionally female one, and they romance a male demon, but the name is optional, and nothing in dialogue explicitly clarifies their gender.
* HelloInsertNameHere: The [[PlayerCharacter player character]]'s default name is Sakura, but is ultimately chosen by the player.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: [[spoiler:Subverted. They're more like a VillainOfAnotherStory, but that doesn't become clear until the end.]]
* HormoneAddledTeenager: They have the sudden urge to make out with the Flame Demon in their first encounter.
* InterspeciesRomance: If they succeed at wooing the Flame Demon. Sakura is (presumably) a normal human, while the Flame Demon is quite literally a HumanoidAbomination with a flame for a head [[spoiler:who WasOnceAMan]].
* KillItWithFire: [[spoiler:Burning all of their classmates to death was their idea.]]
* LoveAtFirstSight: See HormoneAddledTeenager above.
* ManipulativeBastard: Sakura's dialogue options and thoughts while on the date with the Flame Demon suggest that they are, at least to some extent, stroking his ego and playing with his emotions to their advantage.
* PungeonMaster: They can make a couple of "heat" and "fire" puns during the date with the Flame Demon. But if they make too many, [[spoiler:he will take their soul]].
* SpannerInTheWorks: If the player decides to have them take the ritual knife to a teacher, Ayano's attempt to cover up her murders would've been foiled, and possibly even led to her arrest.
* TakeOverTheWorld: Aside from [[spoiler:unleashing fiery death]] upon on all of the Akademi students, this is one possible idea for a second date [[spoiler:that Sakura can suggest]].
* UnholyMatrimony: With the Flame Demon, if their first date is successful.
* VillainProtagonist: [[spoiler:They have no problems with going on a killing spree with their new demonic boyfriend, nor were they adverse to the idea of obtaining demonic power from him.]]
* YourSoulIsMine: This is the consequence of a bad first date with the Flame Demon.

!!FUN GIRL
[[quoteright:190:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fun_girl_9.png]]
->''"Your idea of fun seems very very interesting."''

An EasterEgg character that can only be accessed by altering the game files in specific debug builds – in the 2016-02-01 build, she would converse with the player in a series of text messages telling her story; in the January 2017 builds, she scolds players who modify the game files to try accessing unfinished content. In both cases the game intentionally crashes after she's had her say. She does not appear in the unmodded game, but can be seen on the official website in another EasterEgg.

Claims to have a connection to Saisho Saikou and Megami's aunt Ichiko, but FUN GIRL herself claims [[UnreliableNarrator she sometimes lies]] because [[ItAmusedMe It Amuses Her]] and [[ThisLoserIsYou the fans]] [[SuperGullible eat up everything she says]], so any information she reveals should be taken with a grain of salt.
-----
* BlackEyesOfEvil: They say the eyes are the window to the soul. And hers is very dark.
* DeliberatelyMonochrome: Her color palette leaves her with white hair, grey skin and mostly black clothing.
* {{Expy}}: Of Dr. W. D. Gaster from ''VideoGame/{{Undertale}}''. Like him, she was involved in [[spoiler:an experiment that caused her to break across time and space, both existing and having never existed in the multiverse]]. Furthermore, in the builds between her first and second appearances, trying to access her will spark the message "But nobody came." Her appearance, black background, speaking style (white text that appears letter by letter), and performing a mild JumpScare before crashing the game also somewhat resembles [[spoiler:Chara at the end of ''Undertale'''s Genocide route]].
* GlitchEntity: InUniverse. She's a monochrome-colored girl who is only found directly by altering certain files in ''[=YanSim=]'', who was {{Ret Gone}}d from existance. Her full-body art even features patches of glitchy textures throughout.
* GratuitousJapanese: In both of her out-of-game {{Easter Egg}}s[[note]](one accessible by entering the KonamiCode on the official website's Character page, the other by decoding [=YandereDev's=] link to an unlisted [=YouTube=] video)[[/note]], the same Japanese phrase appears, which roughly translates to...
-->"My, my. Who are you? Nice to meet you. We're going to have a lot of fun together."
* GreyscaleOfEvil: It is pretty obvious just by looking at her.
* InterfaceScrew: In the January 2017 builds, if the player alters the game's code to try to spawn Osana, the game will open... but the school scene will be immediately set on the lowest School Atmosphere setting, and will be completely devoid of anyone other than Yandere-Chan - and [[OhCrap a pissed-off FUN GIRL]]. FUN GIRL will chase Ayano, and, when she catches her (which is inevitable due to her infinite acceleration and ability to go through walls), cause the game to crash. When the game is re-opened, FUN GIRL will hijack the title screen to scold the player for messing with the game's files.
* ItAmusedMe: Her reason for [[UnreliableNarrator mixing in some lies]] with what she reveals about herself and Saisho. "It's just too fun" for her to trick us into thinking something she says is true when it isn't, and she wonders what else she can trick us into believing.
* KonamiCode: Go to the Characters page on the game's website and punch in the code to get a look at her.
* NightmareFace: She has white skin and hair with visible black veins, and black goop coming out of her eyes and grinning mouth. Overall, she's not pretty to look at. Her January 2017 appearance also gives her some [[SlasherSmile exaggerated expressions]], as well as a brief [[TheBlank blank face]].
* NightmareFuelStationAttendant: Her terrifying origins, her creepy appearance, her somewhat sinister dialogue, and her morbid fascination with Ayano/''You'' all peg her as this. In fact, while ''Yandere Simulator'' is chock full of malevolent, evil people (and [[HiddenAgendaVillain as far as we know]], she isn't one of them), FUN GIRL is probably the most ''genuinely scary'' character in the game.
* NoFourthWall: In the January 2017 builds, she addresses the player to chastise them for hacking the game in order to spawn Osana, saying that [=YandereDev=] asked her to prevent players from doing so, then notes that the player will find some way around her due to being the type of person who edits game files.
* NumberOfTheBeast: One of her dialogue lines in each build is tied to the value "666".
* PowerFloats: She will simply levitate towards you when she spots you.
* RetGone: Her fate in-universe. Though, there is a hint in-game that seems to imply [[spoiler:her sister does remember her in some capacity, and is trying to find her. She has even abandoned her position as the heir of Saikou Corp. to do it.]]
* SlasherSmile: Most of her facial expressions during her appearance in the January 2017 build fall into this category.
* TaintedVeins: Her website appearance has these visible on her face, arms and legs.
* UnreliableNarrator: Claims to be this from the April 26, 2018 build to the December 1, 2018 build, if you set the value of "fun.txt" to [[NumberOfTheBeast 666]]. Then again, maybe [[MindScrew this is what she's lying about]], since [[ItAmusedMe it's just too fun]] to mix in some lies and let us [[SuperGullible eat it all up]].
-->"SOMETIMES, I LIE. [[ItAmusedMe IT'S JUST TOO FUN.]] [[SuperGullible YOU EAT UP EVERYTHING I SAY.]] I WONDER WHAT ELSE I CAN TRICK YOU INTO BELIEVING?"

->'''Voiced by''': Creator/AlejandroSaab

A potential male version of Yandere-chan. He isn't officially in the game[[note]]Although he was eventually inserted as an experimental EasterEgg option[[/note]], but if he was, he would have two possible personalities – the first would be a basic gender-bend of Yan-chan, with him having been emotionless until he met Senpai and felt emotions for the first time; the second would have him as a sadist who needs an obsession to feel complete. This Yan-kun would be very possessive of Senpai and would try to kill his rivals because to him, it's just a game.

It's important to note that [=YandereDev=] has stated many times he personally finds the idea of a [[DoubleStandard male yandere murdering a bunch of schoolgirls incredibly distasteful.]] However, he also said it would make for a decent Kickstarter stretch goal, and persistent begging from fans led him to place the concept on the website's "Characters" page.

Made his debut as Ayato Aishi in ''[[VideoGame/SaikoNoSutoka Yandere no Sutoka]]'', the 2020 Halloween bonus game.
-----
* AwesomeButImpractical: The reason he's not in the game, despite some fans' desires, is because creating a male Yan-chan would mean redoing all her animations and lines for the male body and voice.
* DepravedBisexual: Like Yan-chan, he'll vie for Senpai no matter what gender Senpai is. That said, one possibility for his personality has him as [[EvilerThanThou even worse than she is]].
* EmotionlessGirl: One possibility is for him to be a male version of this, just like Yandere-chan.
* EvilerThanThou: A possible interpretation of Yandere-kun's alternative personality. Yandere-chan is expressly stated to be emotionless (except when Senpai is involved) and takes no pleasure in killing. Yandere-kun's alternative personality portrays him as a sociopath who sees the whole thing as a game ([[LeaningOnTheFourthWall which it kinda is]]).
* {{Expy}}: Before he had official artwork, [=YandereDev=] said he envisioned him as looking similar to [[VideoGame/CorpseParty Yuuya Kizami]]
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: One of his possible personalities [[ForTheEvulz treats murder like a game]]. Funnily enough, he's a potential PlayerCharacter in a video game about murder.
* MoreDeadlyThanTheMale: Inverted. One of his possible personalities is merely a GenderFlip of Yan-chan, and the other is EvilerThanThou to her.
* PsychoticSmirk: An early version of the mod had him with a constant, serene smile on his face, which turned into this whenever he was in the middle of murdering. This was taken out in a later update.
* {{Sadist}}: While Yandere-chan eliminates rivals so that she won't be left without the one thing that brings her happiness, Yandere-kun (well, one possible personality for him) hunts them because he finds it fun.
** His voice lines in ''Yandere No Sutoka'' imply he's having fun chasing the player.
* SpearCounterpart: He is a male version of Yandere-chan.
* {{Yandere}}: Just like his female counterpart, he is a lovestruck student who is willing to do whatever it takes to win his loved one’s heart and keep them with him such as manipulating, lying, and killing others.

A girl who hunts down Ayano in the Mission Mode. She pretends to be a normal student until her prey is within striking distance, and relentlessly pursues her target.
----
* AlternateUniverseReedRichardsIsAwesome: [[spoiler:Hanako Yamada is your typical GenkiGirl Little Sister character in the main timeline. Here, to avenge Taro's death, she actively hunts down Ayano]].
* AmbiguouslyEvil: She's definitely a killer, but it's not clear if she's [[ProfessionalKiller an assassin for hire]], a bodyguard who just uses excessive force, a {{vigilante|Man}} who [[PayEvilUntoEvil pays evil unto evil]], or someone who is trying to get revenge on Ayano for something in the past. As a result, she could be a PsychoForHire, a NobleDemon, or even an ({{anti|Hero}})-{{hero antagonist}}. Her backstory comic [[https://yanderesimulator.com/manga/nemesis.html "Retribution"]] reveals that [[spoiler:she is actually an alternate version of ''Hanako Yamada''. The reason she wants Ayano dead is that in this universe, Taro was Ayano's ''first victim''. This pushes her squarely into AntiHero territory]].
* AntiHero: [[spoiler: Of the [[UnscrupulousHero Unscrupulous variant]]. She's undoubtedly a hero for trying to stop the sociopathic and murdering Ayano by killing her, avenging her brother and saving Ayano's current target from certain death...but there's also the fact that she's ''become'' as emotionless and apathetic as Ayano herself and she can potentially knock out an innocent girl to disguise herself as them means she ain't really squeaky clean either.]]
* CanonCharacterAllAlong: The manga reveals that [[spoiler:she's the Mission Mode universe's version of Hanako, trying to avenge her brother's death]].
* ConspicuousGloves: She always wears black gloves, unless the player has chosen to have her disguise herself.
* DarkIsNotEvil: As dark as her appearance is, [[spoiler:she's ultimately trying to save people from falling victim to Ayano like her brother did, making her the good guy]].
* TheDreaded: Info-chan recognizes her, and warns Ayano to avoid her, showing that she has enough of a reputation that Info-chan knows she is not to be trifled with. It could also be that [[spoiler:Info-chan realizes it's ''[[RoaringRampageOfRevenge Hanako]]'']].
* EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette: Her default appearance has pale skin, wavy black hair, and haunting red eyes - making her look like a vampire.
* ExpressiveHair: Her messy, dull hairstyle is a reflection of [[spoiler: her unhappiness following her brother's death]].
* {{Expy}}:
** She's described as operating in a similar manner to [=SA-X=] from ''VideoGame/MetroidFusion''.
** She has also some similarities with [[Franchise/{{Hitman}} Agent 47]], such as wearing black gloves, having a disguise skill, being silent and having a perpetual KubrickStare expression.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Downplayed, since it's only a possibility, but still. Before her official backstory was revealed, one of the possibilities [[WordOfGod YandereDev]] proposed was that she was a rival assassin trying to kill Ayano to stop her from stealing the kill. However, in game, she will focus entirely on Ayano. She'll never kill the mission's target, even if she is alone with them. It's not GameplayAndStorySegregation- [[spoiler: she's going after Ayano for revenge.]]
* MasterOfDisguise: An option in the Mission Mode menu gives her the ability to [[MuggedForDisguise assume the identity of another female student]]. If she does this, she'll blend into the crowd so perfectly that Ayano won't see her coming unless she's on-guard. Oh, and ''which'' girl's identity she assumes is random. If you take a photo of her in-disguise, though, Info-chan will notice that something's off.
* MightyGlacier: She can't be beaten in a fair fight – on harder difficulties, she can't be beaten ''at all'' – and unlike Ayano, she never runs (she ''walks'' faster than Ayano, though).
* MultipleChoicePast: All we really know is that she wants to kill Ayano. Is she a rival assassin, trying to remove the competition? Is she a vigilante, acting against a serial killer? Is she a bodyguard, using lethal force to protect her charge? Is she someone with a personal grudge against Ayano? [[spoiler: It's the last option. She is the alternate universe version of Hanako Yamada. Taro was Assassin!Ayano's first victim, so Hanako is chasing her to get revenge for her beloved brother's death.]]
* NoSell: Masks are completely useless against her. She will know it is you.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Assuming that "Nemesis" isn't [[HisNameReallyIsBarkeep her actual name]]. (The manga reveals her true name to be [[spoiler:''Hanako Yamada'']].)
* OvershadowedByAwesome: Though they don't share any connection, she is technically this to Raibaru, as for all her stealth and combat skills, she is not immune to attacks from behind like Raibaru is.
* PetTheDog: [[WordOfGod YandereDev]] states [[https://www.reddit.com/r/yandere_simulator/comments/5kfv4g/what_happens_to_the_original_student_when_nemesis/ here]] that in the modes where Nemesis [[MuggedForDisguise disguises herself]] as another female student, she simply knocks the student out and stuffs her into a container to take her place, as she isn't the type to kill random bystanders.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: She has haunting red eyes that accentuate her eerie appearance and the fact that she's a killer even more dangerous than Ayano. Since the manga reveals [[spoiler:that she's actually Hanako, who clearly doesn't have these eyes, it can be assumed that these are contacts, possibly used to help change her appearance and hide her identity.]]
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Her backstory comic reveals that [[spoiler:she wants Ayano's head for killing her brother Taro]].
* SerialKillerKiller: She's hunting Ayano, who is a ProfessionalKiller in the Mission Mode.
* SilentAntagonist: As of current builds, she does not speak. Justified, as she has nothing to say to her target, is too busy with her mission to talk to anyone else, and has no reason to talk to herself. She does speak in her origin comic, though.
* SociopathicHero: [[spoiler: She's trying to avenge her brother, stop a sociopathic hit-woman, and ultimately save the life of her current intended target along with potential future victims. This being said, she is so emotionless and stoic after the death of her brother that this, coupled with the fact that she would still be guilty of first degree vigilante murder, and if it's a mode where she disguises herself as another girl, assaulting that girl to knock her out and take her place, makes it difficult to argue that she has not become a sociopath herself, albeit an anti-heroic sociopath]].
* TheStoic: She has a serious expression on her face at all times.
* SympatheticMurderer: Her backstory manga reveals she is trying to kill Ayano, in this timeline an [[AssholeVictim assassin with no redeeming qualities]], because [[spoiler: she murdered her beloved brother Taro]]. In doing this, she would also be saving the life of Ayano's current target and potential future victims. This being said, by trying to kill Ayano herself instead of informing the police or anything, she is technically committing an act of first degree murder rather than a justified homicide.
* TookALevelInBadass: Her origin comic reveals that she was once [[spoiler: the sweet, bubbly Hanako Yamada, who in the main game poses no physical threat to Ayano. After the death of her brother, she must have worked out a lot or taken self defense training, as she is now easily capable of killing Ayano]].
* UsedToBeASweetKid: This stoic murderer was once [[spoiler:the cheery, bubbly Hanako Yamada]].
* YouDontLookLikeYou: [[spoiler:She's actually Hanako Yamada. It appears that she changed her bubbly hairstyle and got red contacts to reflect her unhappiness.]]
* YoungerThanTheyLook: Seeing as she's actually [[spoiler: Hanako Yamada]], she must be at least two years younger than Ayano, but you certainly wouldn't know just by looking at her.

!!Yamiko
[[quoteright:130:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yamiko.png]]

The protagonist of the [[ShowWithinAShow in-universe]] manga and anime series ''[[Manga/DeathNote Life Note]].'' After coming across a notebook that allows her to control people's minds, she resolved to use the notebook to orchestrate the deaths of horrible people.
----
* AdaptationalHeroism: Unlike the Kiras in ''Death Note'' who killed innocents without remorse, Yamiko originally only wanted to kill awful people, and has a small breakdown after using her notebook to kill a policewoman who came too close to discovering her identity.
* CompositeCharacter: She shares Light’s role as the protagonist but also dresses in Misa’s gothic fashion.
* {{Expy}}: Of ''Franchise/DeathNote'''s protagonist, Light.
* ItOnlyWorksOnce: She can only use the Life Note to control any individual once, regardless of whether or not they are still alive afterwards.
* MeaningfulName: Yami is a Japanese word for "Dark", fitting for the protagonist of a Death Note parody, who has a protagonist named "Light".
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Her reaction to killing Detective Seto.
* NecessarilyEvil: What she tells herself afterwards.
* PaedoHunt: Among the targets of her crusade are child molesters.
* PsychicAssistedSuicide: Against the detective and possibly others.

!!Mandere-san
[[quoteright:220:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mandere.png]]
The protagonist of "Mandere Simulator", an AprilFoolsDay version of the game. He takes Ayano's place as the PlayerCharacter.
----
* AndNowForSomeoneCompletelyDifferent: Pretty much the point of this JokeCharacter.
* BodyHorror: His model is squeezed into Ayano's frame; in some of his (actually her) animations, he suddenly grows a long, flat neck, or disjoints his hands, or worse.
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: Unlike all of the other characters, who are rendered in the game's {{Animesque}} art-style, Mandere-san is a [[StylisticSuck poorly rendered CGI-model]] of a muscular man.
* TestosteronePoisoning: The objective of ''Mandere Simulator'' is to be a man. 'Nuff said.
* VocalDissonance: He shares Yandere-Chan's voice clips, which sounds extremely jarring.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: He's shirtless, even when changing outfits. Unlike most other examples of this trope, this one could be considered as FanDisservice.

->''"Thank you for following the development of ''Yandere Simulator''."''

The developer of ''Yandere Simulator''. Unlike many indie developers, he often posts videos to showcase his progress, explain new game mechanics, and communicate with his fanbase.
----
* AuthorAvatar: He is a direct representation of the creator of the game, used to discuss the game's progress with the fandom.
* DissonantSerenity: He often discusses gruesome murders and other horrifying elements of the game in the same calm tone one might use when discussing the weather.
* GratuitousJapanese: Occasionally, such as when he calls himself a "UsefulNotes/{{baka}}" in the video [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6c4Y-6vkJU "Club Benefits in Yandere Simulator"]] after he realizes he forgot to mention a couple things. More often, he's [[YouAreTheTranslatedForeignWord explaining Japanese terms for the viewer's benefit]].
* IdiotHair: His avatar has a small, but noticable ahoge in the middle of his hair.
* OccidentalOtaku: He's a huge anime fan, unsurprisingly considering how much inspiration ''[=YanSim=]'' takes from anime.
* SigningOffCatchphrase: "Thank you for following the development of ''Yandere Simulator''."
* TheStoic: He is known for the striking lack of emotion in his videos. His constant calm, placid tone is a source of both humor and horror. [[https://youtu.be/zHx0Bi3gdjE An interview with Bijuu Mike]] reveals this was the result of many failed takes in recording his voice-over as a result of flubs, voice cracks and the like, with the final take usually being the point where he loses his energy.

[[folder:The First Aishi '''(WARNING: POSSIBLE UNMARKED SPOILERS)''']]
The first woman affected by what is known with what [=YandereDev=] calls "The Senpai Effect" [[spoiler:Revealed in the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_P2A5bZRlY "What if the Aishi family replaced the Imperial Family" video]] to have immigrated to Japan from {{parts unknown}}.]]
----
* TheIllegal: Almost certainly, as Japan's "Sakoku" in the Edo Period made it illegal for pretty much anyone outside of Japan to enter it. Considering that she immigrated to Japan, it was definitely done illegally.
* ImmigrantParents: She's revealed not to be originally from Japan, but somewhere else, and migrated to Japan in 1796.
* MonsterProgenitor: She is the first woman to have "The Senpai Effect", making her the founder of the monstrous yandere line.
* TheOldCountry: Unknown as of now, but the fact that the silhouette pans from Central Asia to Japan might hint at where she is from.
* WalkingSpoiler: So much so, that her past and what caused The Senpai Effect is being kept close to [=YandereDev=]'s chest.
