%% Remember we aren't allowed to make any changes to trope titles. The examples after them are fair game but no changing their names or spoiler tagging them. The latter is because it doesn't really work in practice, the former is to help keep organizing them simple. It's also best to avoid connecting tropes as each should be listed completely stand alone even if the descriptions end up having some overlap.

%%[[WMG: Base for existing but changed worm characters]]
[[WMG:Vanessa Vasil]]
Daughter of Heartbreaker adopted by Alphamon. Cape who can sense the emotions of others and manipulate them with music.
----
* AbusiveParent: Heartbreaker, [[MoreThanMindControl not that she'd be inclined to agree]], as in addition to the mental and emotional abuse he put her through to get her to how she is today (and whatever it took to cause her to trigger) she does also mention how "failing daddy" could lead to her tearing stiches in the past.
* AlliterativeName: '''Va'''nessa '''Va'''sil.
* BizarreTasteInFood: WordOfGod is while Nicolas is rightfully fearful of the concoctions Alphamon considers "Coffee"... it seems to be growing on her, [[ArsonMurderAndJayWalking as if readers needed any more reasons to be scared of or concerned for her at this point]].
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: By her father, though not enough to [[AbusiveParent kill herself if she was "captured" like daddy told her to]]. Still enough to hate Alphamon for arresting Heartbreaker. [[spoiler: Initially.]] Also she thinks zombies are cuddly.
** To be fair with the zombie... It's in a very low state of degradation, really the only noticeable part is that its lower jaw has been replaced with metal and [[NonhumanUndead still has almost all its fur]]. And wasn't trying to eat her.
* BrokenBird: To the degree [[spoiler: even her digisoul is visibly "wrong". It's unclear if this is connected to why she got a [=DEX=]Digimon specifically.]]
* CreepyChild: A more subdued example but she can and will drug her "Big Bro" if she feels she has to and as said thinks ''zombies'' are cuddly.
* DidWeJustHaveTeaWithCthulhu: Primarily when she gets to meet [[spoiler: her [[FluffyTheTerrible "Gam-gam"]]]] for the first time. To a lesser extent [[spoiler: having a [=DEX=]Digimon at all, much less using him as a pillow]].
* EnfantTerrible: Much like most of the Heartbroken children she ''can'' be a pretty cute kid... It's just likely a good idea to be wary when she is ''[[FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon intentionally]]'' doing so.
* LackOfEmpathy: Alphamon notes she has particular issues with this despite her powers making her aware of the emotional state of everyone around her.
* LittleMissConArtist: Great user of CrocodileTears and better at information gathering through stealing than her brother is.
* LivingLieDetector: A side benefit of her empath powers means she can often feel the reason people act as they do.
* MoralityChain: To Isaac, as without her not only [[spoiler: would the Royal Knights kill him on principal but he'd also likely fall back into his natural instinct to spread his personal plague.]]
* MoralityPet: To Nicolas. Ironically ''she'' is the more obviously amoral of the two as a result. [[spoiler: Though this situation isn't as one sided as this may make this look.]]
* OriginalGeneration: Unlike most other characters ([[OCStandIn though her brother comes very close]]) she's ''not'' a preexisting character. Though to be fair [[PowerPerversionPotential Heartbreaker]] had a ''[[MassivelyNumberedSiblings lot]]'' [[BastardBastard of]] [[ChildByRape kids]] and since he didn't come up directly neither did most of them.
* PeoplePuppets: To a degree at least, Alphamon mentions to Gankoomon that the music based aspect of her power allows her to ''force'' her brother to "act like a nutjob".
* RevengeMyopia: Viewed Alphamon as nothing more than a monster who took her away from her daddy and hated him as such. [[spoiler: This changed when she heard her father try to leave all of his kids "to rot" from Yggdrasil's point of view and prove how Alphamon does genuinely care about her and her brother in the process.]]
* SleepCute: With the aforementioned zombie.
* TrainingFromHell: Along with Nicolas, who agreed to go through with it for both of them [[spoiler: so Vanessa could keep Isaac without risk of him being killed]]. She's also a lot less vocal about her displeasure about it.
* {{Tsundere}}: Teased about secretly being one by Alphamon along with her brother. They weren't amused, not helped by neither knowing what a "Tsundere" was in the first place.

[[WMG:Nicolas Vasil]]
Vanessa's protective half-brother, son and former minion of Heartbreaker, adopted by Alphamon. Cape who can cause body spasms through fear manipulation.
----
* AscendedExtra: Was only talked about once in Worm but here he's a fully fleshed out character.
* AgeLift: In Worm the 18 year old Cherie refers to Nicholas as her older brother, here he is 15 which is a good thing for him as being underage helps his case with what his father made him do [[spoiler: and makes him more in line with the ages of most other humans who get digimon partners]].
* AngerBornOfWorry: After Vanessa tried running away from home despite it snowing and getting her leg broken in the process. Though to be fair [[TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior she did also drug him to do this]] so there may have been more genuine anger too.
* BigBrotherInstinct: Displays one towards Vanessa to contrast the [[CainandAbel last time we saw two Vasil siblings interact]].
* DeadpanSnarker: Much like his brother Alec, occasionally dipping into FlatJoy to make a point.
* {{Expy}}: To an extant seems like one to Alec beyond StrongFamilyResemblance, as now their ages match, he shares his general apathy and snarking streak, their powers are presented as being very similar so far, and he even tried to claim he was a sociopath as well. However since he ''does'' express genuine care and concern for others he is at least wrong on that last point. He also has shares similarities to other protective older brothers in the Digimon Franchise of the past like the snarky and aloof but more caring than he lets on [[Anime/DigimonAdventure Matt]] and the more morally torn about the nature of Digimon after being confronted with them [[Anime/DigimonTamers Henry]].
* HeroicSacrifice: Again not unlike Alec when he cares about someone enough he'll do anything he can to try and protect them. Needless to say Vanessa does show her concerns about this as she can ''feel'' when this is his intent.
* HiddenDepths: He's a lot sharper than you might assume given the poor education the Heartbroken tend to have had, to the point ''he's'' the one who named Isaac (see MeaningfulName below) and realized [[spoiler: Alphamon really is out of his depth and calls him out on it]] long before his brothers who have known him ''far'' longer. Emotionally he's also a lot more concerned about others than a self proclaimed "sociopath" would be expected to be as during a heart to heart with Alphamon [[spoiler: he's noticeably uncomfortable with having Ryudamon as his "partner" while under the impression that like other {{Mon}} series Ryudamon doesn't actually have a ''choice'' in this arrangement even if like brainwashed Vasil siblings like Vanessa [[HappinessInSlavery the Rookie isn't aware of his limitation]].]]
* HollywoodAtheist: Claims to be one (and likely why Alphamon had to confirm that he ''had'' a soul at all when [[spoiler:Digisouls]] came up) and definitely fills the cynical stereotype. No idea how this will fare with having a "god" for his adoptive grandmother.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Truly does care about Vanessa but is perfectly willing to laugh at the expense of others, such as when [[spoiler: other digimon meet Isaac]].
** Or when he was told that he was currently staying in a house that used to belong to Mort Nag, he sarcastically comments that they can get back to their demonic rituals.
* OCStandIn: As mentioned he only came up once in passing between Cherie and Alec when talking about how before joining the Slaughterhouse 9 she was being hunted by her older brothers,[[SpellMyNameWithAnS Nicholas]] and Guillaume, where the most she gave about him was how "Nicholas just wallops you with pants-shitting waves of terror" to incapacitate his targets. Needless to say everything else you see here about him is original.
* OnlySaneMan: Of all the Vasil siblings seen, he's easily the least overtly messed up in an emotional capacity. It says a lot when despite having killed ''at least'' one person and trying to pass himself off as ([[HeroicSelfDeprecation or mistakenly genuinely]] [[ThenLetMeBeEvil believes himself to be]]) just as sociopathic of his other half siblings, he's one of the humans who voices the most concerns about the notion of [[CrueltyIsTheOnlyOption how a combat-centric species like Digimon work]] ''and'' the [[HappinessInSlavery possible implications of them being "partnered"]] out of the ''entire'' franchise.
* PrettyBoy: Described as normally having a "gentle face" by his sister, and considering his brother it isn't too surprising.
* PromotionToParent: Was the closest thing that Venessa had to a parent when she was young. Heartbreaker took that away when she was about 5.
* ScreamsLikeALittleGirl: His voice can get ''very'' high pitched when he gets nervous, though at his age it could also be his voice cracking. Vanessa is amused enough by this to want to memorize the sound of it.
* SkewedPriorities: Lampshaded by [[spoiler:Ryudamon]] but he put hiding the fact he and Vanessa broke curfew from Alphamon before ''almost dying'' in his own words. Though considering how his father reacted to runaways, and that (assuming his new age doesn't effect this) ''he'' was one of the kids who would be sent to track them down [[FridgeHorror he might have a good reason for that]].
* SupernaturalFearInducer: This is his [[EmotionControl actual power-set]] despite mostly limiting it to causing Regent-like body spasms from what we've seen so far, as one of Vanessa's POV segments shows. Unsurprising considering the above, though it makes him one of the few emotion manipulators who ''aren't'' immediately compared to Lilithmon.
* SuspiciouslySpecificDenial: He's ''definitely'' never experienced an [[MushroomSamba acid trip]] before, he just "heard about it"... Despite asking if he was tripping being his immediate reaction to [[spoiler: seeing the digital world]]. And [[LivingLieDetector Vanessa]] noting he got really nervous when he remembered Alphamon was there right after he asked. Vanessa also noted [[BadLiar this went about as well as you'd expect]].
* TheArtfulDodger: Both he and his sister show they learned from [[TheFagin their father]] how to thrive as pickpockets and con artists on the streets, even if they can't even speak the local language. He in particular shows he's adapt with using whores to help get the wallets of his chosen marks.
* TrainingFromHell: A lot more vocal about his displeasure about this than his sister despite being the one who signed them both up.
* YouthfulFreckles: The only Vasil so far to have them and as mentioned is explicitly younger than his Worm canon counterpart, with being considered a "child" a bigger deal for him since his father had him commit at least one murder.

[[WMG:Taylor Hebert/Weaver]]
Protagonist of Literature/{{Worm}}, a bullied 15 year old girl who developed the ability to control bugs.
----
* ArbitrarySkepticism: She lives in a world with Super powers but of everyone to get the ''full'' explanation of what Digimon are, she's the most skeptical. Even though she's seen Jesmon ''[[SkepticismFailure enter the internet before]]. Though, part of it might have been [[NoSocialSkills Jesmon's]] [[LostInTranslation butchered talk]].
* CloudCuckoolandersMinder: To Shawn, as she needs to both teach him what is or isn't socially acceptable and keep him out of the trouble his ignorance here can cause.
* DeclarationOfProtection: In her first attempt at heroing she mentally makes one to protect [[DramaticIrony Shawn, because as a cape she can do more than a normal guy like him.]]
* DemotedToExtra: Is limited to Jesmon's sections, and only when dealing with his social life as "Shawn".
* GodzillaThreshold: [[spoiler: Taylor becoming partnered to Jesmon is very much a last resort that was allowed by [[MamaBear Yggdrasil]] ''specifically'' to save him after the fight with Leviathan brought him to death's door. The Knights had previously been concerned that Taylor's [[BrokenBird issues]] might pose a problem if such a partnership happened, and they all wonder if her and Jesmon being trapped in the [[EldritchLocation Dark Ocean]] might be ''[[FateWorseThanDeath worse]]'' than Jesmon dying.]]
* GogglesDoSomethingUnusual: Weaver's mask has prescription lenses in them so [[MundaneUtility she doesn't need to wear her glasses under them]] in addition to being tinted to reduce glare and the like. [[spoiler: Too bad they break when they end up in the dark area. However Shawn offers her his goggles which also count by heavily increasing her ability to see in the dense fog there.]]
* HeroicBSOD: [[spoiler: She did not take learning that her "protector" Shawn failed her due to being too busy as Jesmon at the time very well. For a while at least.]]
* InSpiteOfANail: Even being PalsWithJesus (in a sense) wasn't enough to keep her from triggering her bug powers. [[spoiler: It ''does'' seem like enough [[ForWantOfANail to keep her from joining and befriending the Undersiders]] though.]]
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: Has no idea about Shawn/Jesmon. He is not happy with this [[spoiler: and Magnus spilling the beans to Amy first while ''he'' still can't would not help.]]
** After 44 chapters and 102 days (Instory), or 3 months twelve days... [[SubvertedTrope Jesmon reveals himself to be Shawn]].
* JustFriends: Explicitly makes this the case with Shawn after kissing him to get out of being stuck TenMinutesInTheCloset by Gankoomon.
* MuggleBestFriend: To Shawn/Jesmon. [[spoiler: Up until she triggers and becomes Weaver which causes some issues with their relationship.]]
* MythologyGag: When going through potential names naturally "Skitter", "Weaver", and "Khepri" all come up, even lampshading Weaver's similarity to her given name since it's like a "Tailor". She even ends up using "Weaver" as her hero name again over the more literal "mythology" based choices Jesmon gave her.
* OddFriendship: For those aware of how they are in canon her bonding with Amy can feel like one of these.
* ThePowerOfFriendship: As per Digimon tradition (and to a degree her own tendency to bond with others) she indulges in this [[spoiler: when she sees Jesmon dying after converting Leviathan. Yggdrasil concedes to the Digignomes' desire to "grant her wish" by partnering the two, reviving Shawn as a Hackmon]].
* ToxicFriendInfluence: The Knights all ''worry'' that Taylor might end up being this, if she ended up partnered to Jesmon. Given Taylor's [[BrokenBird issues]] and the effect of [[TheCorrupter tainted Digi-Soul]] on Digimon, this was a genuine concern. [[spoiler: Taylor eventually winds up partnering with Jesmon to save his life after he almost dies fighting Leviathan, [[GodzillaThreshold a sign of how badly the fight went]].]]

[[WMG:Amy Dallon/Amelia Claire Lavere/Panacea]]
Adoptive sister of Victoria Dallon/Glory Girl who can manipulate the biology of anything she touches except herself.
----
* ArmorPiercingQuestion: Delivers one while pointing out just how dangerous being a hero is while rouges can make just as much of a difference through less direct means with similar pay and far less risks.
--> '''Amy''': "Why does [[spoiler: Taylor Hebert]] have to go out and fight villains?"
* BadLiar: She tried telling Victoria she [[BlatantLies used her biomanipulation powers on herself]] to give her perfect vision for reading at night... Despite Victoria knowing what she can and can't do better than anyone.
* HappilyAdopted: With Magnus to a degree, since this was not the case with her actual adoptive family due to her mother Carol/Brandish pushing her too hard.
* HealingHands: What was the primary use of her powers, after taking Magnus's advice she's doing this less often than she used to.
* HesitationEqualsDishonesty: Shows up with the BadLiar example above as she pauses trying to think of a way to avoid telling Vicky about [[spoiler: her digisoul which is the real light source she's been reading by.]]
* LoveHurts: Was dealing with [[spoiler: being in [[IncompatibleOrientation romantic love]] with [[NotBloodSiblings Victoria]], before learning that it was [[LovePotion mostly a side effect]] of her sister never really turning her [[EmotionBomb Aura]] off and getting "addicted" to it by this constant exposure.]] So she was running away from her constantly to avoid addressing the problem [[spoiler: which it sounds like is ''still'' her plan instead of telling her sister what the problem is so Victoria knows she ''needs'' to stop, even when Lalamon makes her stop literally running.]]
* StartOfDarkness: Possibly, despite Magnamon's efforts. [[spoiler: After Magnamon went into his coma Ulforce catches her trying to force the only ''just'' turned Ultimate Blossomon into a Mega, to the point her digisoul was black instead of green. He did convince her to stop but didn't tell her what she was actually trying to do to her partner, and considering what [[BodyHorror she did in canon to "the person closest to her"]] (Victoria in that case) he might not be there to stop her next time.]]

[[WMG: Leonardo "Leo" Davidson]]
The young son of the hero Legend and his husband.
----
* AdorablyPrecociousChild: As he points out he's only seven years old but already knows all of the Triumvirate both as civilians and heroes (though to be fair [[PaperThinDisguise they weren't exactly making it hard]]) and is handling his traumatic experience from [[spoiler: Myotismon's attack]] ''extremely'' well all things considered [[spoiler: (not even touching on how it killed one of this friends). Like tamer, like partner.]]
* TraumaCongaLine: First he was [[spoiler: kidnapped by a Myotismon]] for reasons that weren't even his ''father's'' fault, [[spoiler: watched several classmates and at least one friend be eaten by this monster]], developed a darkness phobia due to the above incident, and then [[spoiler: when he gets a digimon partner it's of the line ''most likely to be killed off'']]. Considering how badly that last point hurt [[spoiler: Jeri (who's partner was also a Leomon) who was older than he is now and how even temporarily losing Patamon effected TK]] for years after it happened this doesn't bode well for the kid.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Digimon based characters]]
These are characters that are based on any of the Digimon multiverse, so if they come from a specific series it will be noted in their section.
----
[[WMG:Yggdrasil]]
In the origins interludes is a nigh-omnipotent being who is rather young and doesn't really understand how to interact with others or why the world she made ended up as it did. Currently largely comatose.
----
* AndIMustScream: A part that comes with her InterfaceScrew text; [[spoiler: In her current state she can see what her knights are going through and react to them with her commentary, but only the reader is aware of her when she does. This comes more into play when she ''wants'' to comfort and support them but can't, like the case of the depressed Craniumon.]]
* BerserkButton: Messing with or insulting her royal knights or reminding her of their founder are special cases.
* BigGood: Ideally is this, though she does have her issues, for the Royal Knights.
* BigNo: [[AndIMustScream In her own way]] [[spoiler: we see this is her reaction to Taylor and Jesmon (now Hackmon) getting caught in Levaimon's bid to send them to the Dark Area with him and Magnamon being drained by the Extreme Jihad.]]
* DefeatMeansFriendship: How she got Craniamon and Duftmon to join her more or less.
* DoubleConsciousness: Has at ''least'' three different "human" faces and personalities, though the primary one is a little girl known as "[[Manga/DigimonNext Norn]]". [[spoiler: The other two seen are [[Anime/DigimonDataSquad Spencer Damon]], Marcus' father who's human form acted as one of their avatars in the anime, and [[VideoGame/DigimonStoryCyberSleuth Akemi Suedo]], who {{RetGone}}'d himself by merging with the Eaters who took over Yggdrasil to fix everything near the end of that game.]]
* DoNotCallMePaul: Calling her "Yggy" has been off-limits since the loss of Imperialdramon.
* DramaticIrony: In Origins Imperialdramon asks what if her avatars (if she made them more self sufficient) went crazy and started destroying Digimon as a result which she responds with [[TemptingFate “I would never be so illogical"]]... Then you [[TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt remember]] [[BigBad most]] [[GodIsEvil of]] [[WellIntentionedExtremist her]] [[AntiVillain appearances]] in the Digimon Franchise and how often the lives of innocent digimon were threatened or lost as a result.
* GoodIsNotNice: Just because she's the BigGood this time doesn't mean she won't use extreme measures if she considers it necessary. [[spoiler: Such as creating [=Dex=]Digimon as a last line of defense/first line of offense.]]
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Her avatar in Origins has blonde hair and is very innocent and good natured.
* InterfaceScrew: A result of their current state renders their commentary on events invisible unless you highlight it (or it's considered plot important enough that the reader can't really afford to miss it). Yes this can and will happen without prior warning. No you often can't see the difference between this and genuine line breaks.
* IWantGrandkids: At least one major facet of Yggdrasil's personality matrix is perfectly okay with adding to their "family." Even if the members are human. That said with how "defensive" she gets when Amy offers to "fix" Magnus' sterility it seems to have been an intentional decision on her part so this attitude has its limits.
* LittleMissBadass: In Origins when [[LetsGetDangerous she starts throwing her weight around]], like during the Royal Knight's first battle against the Demon Lord's forces.
* LivingMoodRing: Her female avatar's eyes change colors to indicate her mood and mindset.
* MoralityPet: Primarily for Imperaildramon Paladin Mode, as made most explicit by [=PlatinumSukamon=], but can be seen as one to other Royal Knights like Craniumon as well.
* NaiveNewcomer: In the origins interludes in regards to the digital world she created.
* TemptingFate: She chose to make Jesmon's human form distinctly a teenager, putting him in a far different (and awkward) situation than any of his brothers. A situation she should by all rights know would entail spending time with human teenagers, who she ''knows'' are at stage of their lives where bonding with digimon is extremely likely and she knows Jesmon's protective streak would make it very likely to get "attached" to a troubled teen. Needless to say she gets aggressively possessive of him as if no one has any right to partner with "her" knights, not unlike Magnamon and Amy caused earlier, when the Digi-gnomes realize this is an excellent opportunity she gave them to partner him with Taylor who's relationship with him practically made them partners already. [[spoiler: This attempt to act as a TricksterMentor to him further backfired by teaching ''her'' she needs to let go when he ''broke'' his connection to her and required a Tamer's bond in order for Hackmon to survive the process.]]

[[WMG: Ouryumon/Blade of the Beginning]]
Alphamon's friend since childhood and fellow Mage of [[MagicalLand Witchenly]], this Mega was created with his friend before the story began and traveled to the Worm Digital Realm with the Royal Knights.
----
* AndIMustScream: In this situation in Origins. [[ForegoneConclusion It's gone by the main story.]]
* {{BFS}}: Has two on his back, and becomes one.
* BloodKnight: As a sword his eagerness for battle is understandable.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Has four blades, two of which serve as his wings when not in use, and is Alphamon's sword when they [[FusionDance Jogress]].
* LivingWeapon: To a very literal degree in Origins. He's described as "A Sword in the shape of a Mega." Not that Alphamon treats him this way.
* MagicKnight: More Magic Dragon, but as an heir to Witchenly he can use [[MagicByAnyOtherName High Code]]. He just focuses on using it to advance his sword skills.
* NamedWeapon: His four blades each have a name: "Gairyu Sadajin," "Gairyu Udajin," and the paired "Gaiba Daimejin." And as he becomes the titular Dragon King Sword in Alphamon's Ouryuken mode, it applies to him as well.
* NonIndicativeName: Despite being known as the "Dragon King Sword" and seen as a "Sword" in Origins by extension his weapon form is more akin to ''an axe'' with a blade at the end of its long handle like a halberd.
* PaintingTheMedium: To convey just how painful it is to hear him speak when not declaring an attack, the authors decided to have every letter have different text properties. [[SelfDemonstratingArticle For example]], ''t''h'''i'''s ''i'''''s''' '''y'''o''u'' g''e''t'''t'''''i''n'''g''' ''o''f'''f''' l''u''c'''k'''y.
* PromotionToParent: Because of Alphamon's various adoptions Ouryumon has also needed to become a father/uncle/babysitter for them when their primary parent is busy. He is less than pleased about this even when he ''is'' [[DrillSergeantNasty allowed to fight the Digimon under his care]]. [[TrainingFromHell It's a major accomplishment when they can last]] ''[[TrainingFromHell six seconds]]'' [[SinkOrSwimMentor against him]] ''[[CurbstompBattle while he's holding back]]''.
* TheQuietOne: He very rarely speaks, seeing little purpose in words, and the other characters are [[BrownNote grateful for that]].
* SatelliteCharacter: He has never been seen without Alphamon, to the point even the title he has references their connection, and in Origins serves as Alphamon's primary motivation [[spoiler: making it unclear if the two ''can'' be truly separated anymore.]]
* ServileSnarker: When he does speak he has no issues pointing out areas where he disagrees with the decisions his "dear friend" has made but will do what's asked nonetheless.
--> '''Alphamon''': ”What have I gotten myself into?”
--> '''Ouryumon''': “Parenthood. Hatchlings multiplying. Dragged me in too. Hate it. Fights suck. [[LikeAnOldMarriedCouple You only call for Eggsitting.]]”
* SpellBlade: Can perform this on his weapons when the situation calls for it.
* {{Synchronization}}: In Origins, even as a Berserker, he has some ability to affect Alphamon's [[OurSoulsAreDifferent Digicore]].

[[WMG:Kai Urazoe]]
Takato's Cousin we met in the ''Anime/DigimonTamers'' movie "Battle of Adventures" and Kaji's only known living family member by extension. He now runs and owns the Matsuki family bakery.
----
* AgeLift: Much like Gallantmon's human form being a 20 year old Takato implied Kai's also around that age now.
* AscendedExtra: Goes from being a relative of Takato's from one of the movies to the most prominent human from Digimon seen so far.
* ConvenientlyAnOrphan: Hit by this a second time after the death of his Grandfather, which both helped make him more open to his "relative" Kaji coming into his life and [[spoiler: set up how he got involved with the Yakuza in the first place so Gallantmon would find out about the Mizu no Yurei sooner.]]
%%* DistressedDude: [[spoiler: After being kidnapped by the Yakuza.]]
* EvilStoleMyFaith: Describes his atheism as a result of this.
--> '''Kai''': “I was four when my parents died, Gramps took me in and was the best parent I could ask for. They were Shinto, he was a practicing Buddhist, and all my faith died when Kyushu sunk.”
* HatesEveryoneEqually: Says this word for word when he's driving Suzy to the teahouse with an additional ThisIsForEmphasisBitch.
* INeedAFreakingDrink: His understandable response to seeing Kaji considering he's an IdenticalStranger to his dead cousin who showed out of the blue.
* MuggleBestFriend: To Kaji, even though it's more "familial" based than strictly friendship.
* MundaneLuxury: Despite his awareness of the sort of work Kaji can do he seems shocked by the idea that his cousin has a friend who ''has'' a car, much less one that would be willing to lend it to him for a trip. His joy about being able to drive said car is ''very'' clear, even when only vaguely aware of the sort of upgrades it has.
* SadClown: With some elements of being a StepfordSnarker depending on his general mood. It's telling that while he's the primary source of ComicRelief in Gallantmon's Omakes he's still obviously affected by Leviathan's aftermath.
* SecretKeeper: For Kaji about him being the "Red Shadow", though he suspected Kaji was darker than he appeared for far longer by picking up on his combat based habits. [[spoiler: He's still in the dark about the bigger ones though.]]
* SoleSurvivor: Of Takato's family, which is part of why he connects to Kaji so quickly.
* TooDumbToLive: He's shown to be a rather gullible person so far, or very ignorant of how dangerous his situation is.
** First he honestly thought [[spoiler: paying off the Yakuza would be enough to break free of their influence despite being a valuable resource for them]] and if Kaji didn't find him as quickly as he did the results of this would have been a lot worse. Not to mention [[BullyingADragon mouthing off to said threat beforehand]].
** Second being his optimistic belief that he just happened to win a reservation at a ''very'' nice tea house despite [[spoiler: the above mentioned Yakuza incident not being that long ago, making the likelihood of it being planted as a trap for him and the "Red Shadow" Kaji extremely high as they hadn't been bothered about it once]].

[[WMG:Suzie Wong]]
Henry's little sister from ''Anime/DigimonTamers'', who in that universe was the tamer to Antylamon/Lopmon of the Devas.
----
* AgeLift: Due to how the timelines worked out she's now 15 years old.
* BrokenBird: Life has not been kind to her, not much of the CheerfulChild we knew her as in Tamers is left at all by this point.
* HalfBreedDiscrimination: Suzie faces this constantly unlike in Tamers where nobody, not even in the original Japanese, mentions it. [[FridgeBrilliance This is most likely due to the devastation wrought by Leviathan that wrecked Japan's infrastructure]], though the Mizu no Yurei assumes it's due to a misunderstanding about her issues with Lung who is also half Chinese.
* LittleMissConArtist: Primarily of the pickpocket nature as Kaji found out the hard way. Despite her living conditions she even still managed to get a decent enough Yukata to blend in more easily when prowling for marks at the shrine.
* SitcomArchNemesis: Develops a relationship like this with Kai initially, as she's distrustful of people in general thanks to her life experiences while he's very bothered by her general attitude and how ungratefully she treats his cousin who took her in with seemingly little reason for doing so.
* SpottingTheThread: In regards to Kaji, as when she called her mother one of the first questions she asked was if Henry ever had a friend with his name like he had try to claim earlier to which the answer was obviously no. What she'll choose to do with this information considering how Kaji and Kai have been treating her remains to be seen.
* StreetUrchin: Has been living on the streets for a while before Kaji took her in.
* ThickerThanWater: Finds this out when she calls her mother for the first time in years after [[spoiler: Leviathan's death]].
* WoundedGazelleGambit: When Kaji catches up with her she claims he [[RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil attempted to rape her]] to make the crowd turn against him (and got him hit with a taser) before he can mention she stole his wallet.

[[WMG: Arata Sanada]]
A hacker who was partnered to a Keramon from ''VideoGame/DigimonStoryCyberSleuth'' whose Earth Bet counterpart is a tinker working for the Mizu no Yurei.
----
* BerserkButton: Don't try to bring up [[BigBrotherInstinct Ami]] around him, especially not in an already hostile situation.
* ChekhovsGunman: His survival was first hinted by the Mizu no Yurei telling Kaji how "one self-proclaimed “Not-a-Geek” ([[InSpiteOfANail which is something]] [[VitriolicBestBuds Nokia]] had called him due to him trying and failing at being a ClosetGeek) was the one who figured out how the Royal Knight's Digimoji language worked enough to realize Kaji had a connection to them.
* ConvenientlyAnOrphan: It's mentioned that he and Ami were together both in an orphanage and [[StreetUrchin on the streets]] where they both ended up triggering.
* EvilFormerFriend: To Ami, according to herself... [[FriendlyEnemy Mostly]]. Obviously his relationship with her has been strained by him ''joining'' the Yakuza she's fighting against.
* FriendshipTrinket: He has a gold watch with a photo of him and Ami together when they were younger post-leviathan.
* MarshmallowHell: Given to him by the [[SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl ever energetic Ami]] after taking some time [[spoiler: taking in the weight of Leviathan being dead]] to [[SpeakOfTheDevil brood about their (Platonic) relationship thus far]]. Between this, someone else commenting on the nature of the position despite him being an unwilling party (one that having this sort of awareness is rather surprising on it's own no less), and her looking him dead in the eyes as she told him she loved him [[ShipTease he got rather flustered by it all]].
* TheMole: Considers himself more as this for Ami since he's still trying to protect her, though he doesn't believe she can accomplish her goal.
* ShoutOut: He used his abilities to recreate [[Franchise/DeadSpace Isaac's Engineer suit and arsenal]], from which the former grants him its telekinetic and time slowing powers. Not that this helped him against [[CurbStompBattle Gallant]][[ItsPersonal mon]] much since the latter was venting some anger about how the "other" Arata [[spoiler: ATE him after willingly get possessed by an eater]] despite that even back then [[UnexplainedRecovery it didn't actually stick]].

[[WMG: Ami Aiba]]
The female protagonist of ''VideoGame/DigimonStoryCyberSleuth'' (who had a Hagurumon as her primary partner) who is now a freedom fighter with electricity powers.
----
* AscendedFangirl: Of the Royal Knights, which Adam was happy to learn and even more so after hearing [[DramaticIrony Alphamon]] was her favorite despite hearing her praise Examon, [[MeaningfulName Jesmon]], and [[FunPersonified Ulforce]] first getting a more "mixed" reaction. [[spoiler: Though she doesn't know ''how'' "ascended" she is yet, as Adam only said he worked for them when she agreed to become his assistant.]]
* AudienceParticipation: Both her gender (and unknowingly their backstory by extension) and initial digimon for Worm Protocol's "canon" as far as that game is concerned were chosen by voters on the forums.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: She still has the trait of [[NonSequitur randomly referencing movie titles and their creators]] where she deems "appropriate" at the very least from one of the game's dialogue options and has survived having nearly the entire nation she's living in against her.
* BilingualBonus: As WordOfGod notes when she uses the phrase to refer to herself, "Kaminari ga Ochiru", literally means "The Thunder Comes Down" but in Japanese its use is more along the lines of "Bring down the Thunder" in that it has similar intent to the phrase "Ripping someone a new one", so it's basically "CurbStomp" with an extra side of [[ShockAndAwe power based pun]].
* BizarreTasteInFood: Just like in Canon she acquires Alphamon's ''interesting'' taste in coffee ingredients.
* ChronicHeroSyndrome: An issue of her's to Arata, Adam, ''and'' [[spoiler: Hagurumon]]'s chagrin. First it set her on her "Free Japan" crusade, then it encouraged her to give the food Adam has been leaving out for her to other people struggling on the streets, and then [[spoiler: rescuing a Hagurumon she found by accident that was being forced to act as a power source and returning one of it's "hand" gears to it]]. Though at least the last of these things should provide ''quite'' [[ThePowerOfFriendShip the payoff for her]] but even he points out her actions there weren't very "logical".
* ConvenientlyAnOrphan: The biggest difference between her and [[WhatCouldHaveBeen Takumi]]: He got sick enough his mother had to stay home to take care of him one day and she didn't. Unluckily for her that just happened to have been the day when Leviathan attacked, which resulted in her mother's death.
* DamselInDistress: The unfortunate result of her backstory determining coin toss, as she [[spoiler: was found by Alphamon in an extreme state of malnutrition where his involvement was needed for her survival while her male counterpart wasn't having a great time but was in no immediate need of Alphamon's assistance]]. However when she is back on her feet she is [[ActionGirl quick to subvert this]].
* GogglesDoSomethingUnusual: Just like in her own game her [[MythologyGag "Goggles of leadership"]] are [[spoiler: made into a digivice (but they are called [[GratuitousEnglish "Goggles"]] instead), complete with a new set of digimoji along the band of it, after she partners with her Hagurumon that can be used to contain them without breaking communication between the two]]. Also as in her game she ''still'' [[GogglesDoNothing doesn't actually wear them over her eyes]] (but she's at least wearing them like her male counterpart instead of using it as a hair tie) so it's not clear if doing so would also change anything.
* GratuitousJapanese: Yes she's a fan of this despite only speaking Japanese and so far only talking to other Japanese speakers in Japan. It's primarily to point out some plays on words (like the BilingualBonus above) that don't exist in English and would be awkward to address exist otherwise.
* HesNotMyBoyfriend: In [[MotorMouth her own words]] on the matter with Arata after Adam teased her about it: “[[LuminescentBlush Gak!]]he’snotImean[[ShipTease he’snotbadlooking]]butwe’relikefriends, andshutup!”
* InnocentFanserviceGirl: Saw no issue with how her clothing could be compromised by doing a handstand off of Adam's couch in front of him, though she was also aware he had changed her clothing before. Adam notes that this is another consistency with the Ami he remembers and briefly wonders why no one complained or worried about a WardrobeMalfunction back then.
** It wasn't just her with that problem, but Nokia and Rina had [[PapaWolf Omnimon, UlForce, Arata]] and [[LittleMissBadass Ami herself]] to ward off problems.
* InSpiteOfANail: Despite Leviathan's attack killing at least Nokia from her previous friend group she and Arata still managed to find and befriend each other. Unlike in their game though this seemed to have been in person instead of starting as an online one.
** On the meta side of things her backstory is one of the ''only'' cases in the work so far where this ''[[SubvertedTrope doesn't]]'' apply to some degree, as she and her male counterpart had drastically different ones as seen under "Diabolus ex Machina" on the main page.
** There was never any Eden, no Eaters, no Koloon... There ''are'' Superpowers, beings bent on the misery and destruction of the human race... And yet... [[spoiler:[[VideoGame/DigimonStoryCyberSleuth Ami Aiba still saves a Hagurumon]].]] This is [[LampshadeHanging noted]] by more than one Royal Knight.
* IShallTauntYou: She's a fan of handling powerful opponents this way much to Suguhime's frustration.
* OneManArmy: As Suguhime's finding out the hard way now that Ami's in better health her guerilla tactics are proving ''very'' effective against the unprepared forces of [[RedBaron the Volcano of Okinawa]].
* RedBaron: She'd much prefer one of these to replace her current alias of "Electric Girl" but she's not that good of thinking of one on her own as there aren't any Japanese Goddesses of electricity or weather to fall back on.
* ShockAndAwe: Her skill set, which is fitting as in her game her abilities came from having a body made of data.
* SchrodingersPlayerCharacter: An odd case as obviously Aiba's no longer the "player" character and as it was only a cosmetic difference in the game where they were, but here the two genders had ''drastically'' different backstories, and a coin toss determined who got what before seeing who the poll decided which one would appear in the story.
* ThouShallNotKill: She makes a firm point about this despite being up against the Yakuza.
* YourTerroristsAreOurFreedomFighters: As a result of trying to make the three Yakuza groups lose control of Japan to "free" it. [[TheCynic Arata]] is not amused.

[[WMG: Leviamon/Envy]]
One of the [[DemonLordsAndArchdevils Seven Demon Lords]], and the first one to form on Earth Bet's Digital World.
----
* CruelTwistEnding: His introduction during [[spoiler: the Leviathan fight]] in a nutshell.
* DemonicPossession: The standard MO for a Demon Lord to get a body. [[spoiler: He used ''[[FromBadToWorse Leviathan]]'' as the "host."]]
* DiabolusExMachina: In universe as [[spoiler: Leviathan]] hadn't appeared to anyone yet that he ''had'' conventional emotions enough to meet the qualifications for Envy in the first place [[InformedAttribute much less be that much of an envious individual on top of that]] (and certainly not when the take over happened considering how little of him was ''left'' or compared to [[spoiler: other capes who had plenty of reason to be envious of the Knights like Eidolon or Armsmaster)]], the Royal Knights were unaware any Demon Lords ''could'' [[spoiler: cross the barrier this early regardless of hosts]], and [[spoiler: very few people of Earth Bet had any inkling about what Digimon even were]]. Out of universe there ''was'' foreshadowing for his early arrival and how the Dark Area connected to him would become relevant to the plot though.
* HellIsThatNoise: his voice, as described by [[OlympusMons Gankoomon]]
-->'''Gankoomon Naration''': The reverberating tone shook the earth; the sound of waves pounding against the shore, the ocean floor up-heaving, soon to displace a wave to destroy civilizations, sailors gasping for air as they were pulled under, the bleak pounding of relentless rain that had no end, A Flood of Forty Days and Nights all encapsulated in that voice that I had heard in nightmares.
* IncomingHam: He makes a soliloquy when he first is "born," which can double as a BadassBoast that he couldn't make good on... ''Yet''.
-->'''Leviamon''': '''“[[AsTheGoodBookSays When the world was young, there was Man]]. [[CainAndAbel To him was granted two sons]]. And by them, a legacy of blood. And so I AM. I, who rule the waters uncontested, do find this Vessel to be [[GreenEyedMonster Made of the Sin of Cain]]. I deem it worthy to bear my Crown and Crest. [[GrandTheftMe To be filled with my Essence and take on mine own form]]. [[IAmTheNoun I AM THE SECOND SIN! I AM ENVY!]] In your own sin, BE CAST DOWN AND DROWN!”'''
* LargeAndInCharge: One of the largest of the Demon Lords, and of all Mega. Doesn't have the last part down when he first appeared, though that was more [[WorfHadTheFlu "summoning]] [[DramaPreservingHandicap sickness"]] than being weak.
* MakingASplash: Both his standard powers as the ruler of the Dark Ocean [[spoiler: and his "host's" abilities.]]
* TakingYouWithMe: With [[spoiler: Jesmon (well Hackmon) and Taylor]] in a more literal sense when he was sent back into the Dark Area.

[[/folder]]

[[folder: "Origins" exclusive characters]]
As a prequel of sorts being told alongside Worm Protocol characters that have appeared here may get moved to the "Digimon" section above if they show up in the story proper.
----
[[WMG:[=ImperialdramonPaladinMode=]]]
Founder of the Royal Knights but not an actual member of the group.
----
* BrokenBird: The events which led to him achieving Ultimate all but shattered his former world view and left roughly a ''third of the entire digital world'' calling for his death.
* BrokeYourArmPunchingOutCthulhu: Unleashes a Giga Death while the cannon is still in his chestplate to make Lucemon's attack prematurely detonate and hurt the Rookie. It worked... Kinda.
* BerserkButton: The Angel territory in general and Ophanimon in particular. [[spoiler: Specifically the second Ophanimon because [[ItsPersonal she used to be like a sister (or more) to him]].]]
* ConvenientlyAnOrphan: How this happened isn't clear but he was raised in the Orphanage [[ParentalSubstitute PlatinumSukamon]] is running.
* DoomedByCanon: Imperialdramon is stated to have [[KilledOffForReal died so hard]] that he ''still'' hasn't been reborn in the main story. [[spoiler:[[WordOfGod What's known]] about the specifics of his death is that the Demon Lords and Karma were involved.]]
* FounderOfTheKingdom: Well more "the order", but is this for the Royal Knights.
* JadeColoredGlasses: When "not-arguing" with Ophanimon, he smiled at her, to quote the text "just like he used to do when they were Champions and they were all idiots with dumb ideas and hope in this crappy world. All stupidly thinking that they could change something."
** He then proceeds to self-flagulate even further by retorting
--->'''Imperialdramon's thoughts''': ''But that’s what you’re still trying to do now isn’t it? Just like she asked you to. Just like the Idiot You wanted to do.''
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Prone to "teaching" with pain or experience such as when he gave Yggy a "lesson" about how life works in the digital world by allowing 3 Babamon to try and eat her after they devoured the rookies she was with, has a bitter and abrasive streak (especially where the Angel Territory gets involved), but he does genuinely care about those close to him and is particularly protective of Yggdrasil.
* MyGreatestFailure: While things aren't entirely clear yet, [[spoiler: he jogressed due to being forced to eat his best friend, resulting in him entering an UnstoppableRage where he killed and ate part of the first Ophanimon and leading to someone he considered his sister trying to kill him in Origins as the current Ophanimon]].
* NoYay: Towards Gluttony as a result of the Demon Lord's tendency to use [[TermsOfEndangerment flirtatious language]] towards their targets.
* PapaWolf: For his [[AffectionateNickname "Yggy"]].
* TheScottishTrope: Mentioning him or even creating an illusion of him is not so much pressing the Royal Knights and Yggdrasil's BerserkButton as it is so much pressing and holding it down.
* ShroudedInMyth: It doesn't help that Yggdrasil doesn't like it when she or anyone else talks about him.
* SuddenlyAlwaysKnewThat: With regard to humans and their mythology or expressions. He doesn't know why he knows some of the things that pop out of his mouth, though he thinks his connection to Yggdrasil might have something to do with it.
* {{Unperson}}: Made such by [[spoiler: Duftmon, as part of a unanimous decision by the Royal Knights]] in an attempt to help Yggdrasil during her mourning, though the scribe notes this was done ''without'' her actual consent.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: Before his Jogress with Stingmon. [[spoiler: (And subsequently setting Keter ''on fire'' and eating Ophanimon the first.)]] As a Veemon and [=ExVeemon=] he genuinely cared about the well being of everyone in Keter and was trying to make it better for everyone.
* YouAreTooLate: [[spoiler: According to Jesmon's flashbacks to the Royal Knight's fight against [[EndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt Ougumon]] it seems to state that this might be his "Fate."]]

[[WMG: Cherubimon]]
The most virtuous of the three Holy Angels, who is now stuck often disagreeing with her brother and younger sister.
----
* TheAtoner: Her interactions with her favorite hand hint that this may be part of her motivation for her "generosity".
* GenderFlip: Yes this is indicating that the first Cherubimon of the trinity was female, unlike the male one seen in ''Anime/DigimonFrontier''.
* IdSuperegoAndEgo: From the Author and Reader's point of view, she's definitely the Superego for her group. In-Universe... Not so much.
* {{Irony}}: She's noted to be the one who traditionally ''[[PureIsNotGood forced]]'' Viruses to become aware of their "[[FantasticRacism misbegotten nature]]" despite being the angel best known for [[spoiler: her species' ''[[SuperPoweredEvilSide Virus]]'' form as being the "purest" by design always leaves them most open to corruption]], though all three ''do'' have a least one similar state.
* SecretSecretKeeper: She's aware that [[spoiler: Yggdrasil's "Crystals everywhere" trick means she's likely connected with the "Kernel" that made the Three Great Angels]] but she's trying to hide this from her "siblings".
* TheMcCoy: Of the Great Angels. She is currently trying to be TheHeart of Angel Territory when it comes to the Viruses because [[FantasticRacism Ophanimon sure isn't]].
* MythologyGag: She says her current actions are based on what she'd think her fallen sister would have wanted and feels disconnected from her brother and younger sister now. Normally Cherubimon was said to protect "God's Wisdom" and the latter was a part of [[spoiler: how Lucemon was able to corrupt Cherubimon over time in ''Anime/DigimonFrontier''.]]
* ToBeLawfulOrGood: Currently choosing Good. She's the only one.
* TokenGoodTeammate: While "good" may be a stretch... She's still presented as such by being the one to offer Crusadermon being promoted as a sign of goodwill towards the distrustful Knights, tried defending Imperialdramon Paladin Mode despite his crimes against the sister she misses, and by [[spoiler:being against Seraphimon and Ophanimon the second's decisions the two may be trying find ways of weakening her to get her "out of the way".]]

[[WMG: Ophanimon the First]]
The most compassionate of the Holy Angels, who's death caused a lot of changes to their territory.
----
* CoolBigSis: Implied to have been one for Cherubimon, which is part of why she's trying to act more like how her sister would have wanted her to since the second isn't doing her position justice.
* MythologyGag: She was said to represent compassion, and normally Ophanimon of the Great Angels in the franchise is said to protect "God's Love".
* TokenGoodTeammate: As a part of the above, she's noted to have helped temper Cherubimon's decisions in the past, though again "Good" still seemed to advocate their racist outlook and slavery practices.

[[WMG: Ophanimon the Second]]
The only one of the three who isn't one of the original founders and has a personal issue with Imperialdramon Paladin Mode.
----
* DeadGuyJunior: When the story refers to Ophanimon it tends to be this one, who took over after [[spoiler: her "brother"/[[ChildhoodFriendRomance crush]] Imperialdramon supposedly killed and ate her predecessor]].
* EvilFormerFriend: For [[spoiler: Imperialdramon]].
* IdSuperegoAndEgo: Her lack of control and open hatred of Viruses and Imperialdramon make her the Id of the group.
* ItsPersonal: While the entire Angel Territory fears and hates Imperialdramon almost as much as he hates it; her's is for reasons closer to home.
** Specifically, she believes that [[spoiler:it's not his Veemon side that is in control, but rather the Stingmon/Wormmon side is using Veemon as a "fake skin." And it's highly likely that she had feelings for Veemon.]]
* {{Irony}}: Despite being the one to take the place of the "compassionate" member of the trinity she's more of a HangingJudge than anything else so far.
* TheSpock: At least where Viruses are concerned and the laws... Aren't nice.
* VillainousIncest: Depending on how true the Holy Angels being "siblings" is treated this [[AmbiguousSituation might be]] why Cherubimon felt disgust at the notion that the Second may have romantic feelings for their brother Seraphimon. [[spoiler: Unless it was more based on jealousy that she thinks he might be returning the Second's affections or is related to how much easier it would make it for the much older Seraphimon to manipulate her to his own ends.]]

[[WMG: Seraphimon]]
The savior and holy father figure for the angel territory. Tries to set himself as the example by which all Angel type Digimon (Vaccines) should behave.
----
* TheChainsOfCommanding: [[ObliviousToLove If he notices]] Ophanimon's crush on him, this might be one reason he doesn't directly act on it.
* IdSuperegoAndEgo: His ability to mediate between his sisters' viewpoints makes him the Ego.
* TheKirk: Of the Great Angels. While he isn't the one most in favor of radical changes, he's willing to loosely interpret the law when necessary.
* MythologyGag: Typically of the Great Angels it's said he's highest ranking and protects "God's Law".
* TheParagon: Sets himself up as this for all of Angel Territory. Everyone agrees.

[[WMG: Lucemon/Perfection]]
The "leader" and strongest of the Demon Lords who [[SevenDeadlySins represents the sin]] of Main/{{Pride}}.
----
* AGodAmI: Look no further than the name he chose for himself, and it's a sentiment even other Demon Lords like Gluttony will support. [[spoiler: Considering he is most likely the Tokomon Yggdrasil brought to this world instead of a digimon made here, and how she effects digimon who she interacts with his sentiment is almost understandable. He also called Yggdrasil the ''other'' Dreamer so he could be genuinely considering himself one of the creators of the world.]]
* BilingualBonus: For those who are either most familiar with the Japanese power levels or prefer to avoid the term "Ultimate" entirely, as the only "Perfect" level digimon of the seven is calling himself "Perfection".
* CharmPerson: [[AmbiguousSituation Possibly]] as while he does also have the power to back his claims he does still have the other Demon Lords mostly agreeing to have him act as "leader", the digimon who serve him are less followers than they are an all out cult, and [[spoiler: Yggdrasil notes how she has to ''force'' her body to not relax around him]]. That last point could also simply be [[spoiler: her subconsciously recognizing the Tokomon she saved and brought over from the previous world.]]
* ChekhovsGunman: Possibly. [[spoiler: When going over where she went wrong with making this digital world Yggdrasil noted she "still remembers that single Tokomon she had wrapped in her presence and taken with her to the New World." which ''is'' an in-training that can become Lucemon and would ''easily'' be possible with the powers she tends to give digimon through similar means. This could also be why the Angels so far seem to be indicating their powers came from her, even though normally each got it from parts of ''him'' instead.]]
* CultOfPersonality: As the lord of pride he has "Fanatics" more than conventional or love struck followers like the others do.
%%* DevilishHairHorns: While Yggdrasil notes there is something unnatural about how "naturally elegant" his blond mop of curls tends to fall she doesn't explicitly mention part of it is how [[GoodHairEvilHair two parts tend to stick up]] in ''just'' the right way to [[DevilInPlainSight appear like horns]]. %%Needs to mention his evilness and personality
* FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon: A more literal case than most as a rookie.
* FallenAngel: Unique among most "Fallen Angel" themed digimon in that he still looks somewhat angelic in his virus Fallen/Chaos mode, being split down the middle in accordance to which side of his body embodied which concept with [[GoodWingsEvilWings his right being his original white bird-like wings (with one black colored exception) and the left appearing black and bat-like.]] In a less literal sense considering what most [[MadeASlave fallen "angels" are in the Angel Territories]] and the [[ExplosiveLeash functions the Holy Rings serve for them]] the four he wears almost like shackles as a rookie does also raise some questions about his history with them.
* KillerRabbit: Their most notable trait is how unusual they are as a digimon since even as a ''rookie'' they can defeat powerful megas. A rookie who looks like an [[PrettyBoy abnormally pretty]] but otherwise normal [[EnfantTerrible 10 year old]] pale, [[LightIsNotGood blond haired]], and [[CreepyBlueEyes blue eyed]] human boy with some weird [[PurpleIsPowerful purple tattoos]] and ''6'' sets of angel wings.
* MinorInjuryOverreaction: His reaction to getting his hair singed? Evolve to the Perfect Level for the first time in decades to lay more smackdown.
* NonstandardCharacterDesign: In every sense in universe. In addition to easily being one of the most human looking digimon to exist (who doesn't hide any of his face or features) his digivolution path goes from Rookie straight to Ultimate, both being more than enough to destroy mega level digimon, and all his forms are named as though they are mode changes instead of conventional evolutions. [[spoiler: And this isn't counting how his mega can be seen as ''two'' connected digimon with how his Larva form creates and controls his Satan/Shadowlord one as Larva has little to no fighting ability on it's own.]]
* PersonOfMassDestruction: The first "Layer Killer" on record and like Gallantmon [[OxymoronicBeing possesses the Digital Hazard on his left hand in addition to having the Zero Unit on his right]]. You know it's bad when what makes Gallantmon worse than a walking nuke is one of the ''least'' mentioned aspects of this guy.
* PsychopathicManChild: Yggdrasil notes that despite looking about the same age as her Avatar he's clearly one of the oldest digimon to exist, and as mentioned is one of the ''worst'' of the [[AlwaysChaoticEvil Seven Demon Lords]]. Further notable in that his evolution path also implies this as in Japanese he's a "child" digimon who skips the "adult" stage to reach his "perfect" level despite it looking much more mature.
* Really700YearsOld: Despite looking like a human child he is the ''first'' known [[PersonOfMassDestruction Layer Killer]] and even Yggdrasil quickly guesses how old he must be upon meeting him. [[spoiler: Possibly an extreme case even among digimon if he's the Tokomon Yggdrasil brought over from the Digital World ''she'' came from, as he would outdate everything else she's created here.]]
* TomTheDarkLord: As [[TheNickNamer Gluttony]] seems to enjoy noting without the "mon" part his species name sounds like [[GenderBlenderName Luci/Lucy]], instead of his namesake [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast Lucifer]].
* VillainousCrush: So far it seems his interest in Yggdrasil is like this as [[spoiler: in addition to getting violently angry with Beelzemon for offering to kill her for him and coming to the battlefield himself to "collect" her during the attack]], when they finally meet in person he's polite and ''happy'' despite her anger towards him, makes it clear he wanted to impress her on some level, and says her name "like it's the most precious thing in existence". Needless to say as this is coming from the monster named after and based on [[{{Satan}} the prince of lies]] Yggdrasil isn't buying it. [[spoiler: Considering who he may be if he's being genuine this could also be more of a platonic affection towards her as a "mother" to him of sorts.]]
* YouCalledMeXItMustBeSerious: He rarely considers digimon ''as'' digimon in the first place, favoring "filth" or "dirt" as a show of his arrogance, and even among the Demon Lords addressing them by their name/sin is a rarity enough to catch Gluttony off guard when he uses it when making a request.

[[WMG: Beelzemon/Gluttony]]
One of the more active and unusual Demon Lords in that to be as wasteful as it's sin indicates ''only'' hunts down powerful digimon who can peak his interest and give him a "fair" fight.
----
* BloodKnight: His sin of Gluttony isn't expressed so much by [[BigEater conventional eating]] as it is by "eating" the data of powerful digimon he kills so even among the Demon Lords he and his legions are notable cases.
* BrooklynRage: How he talks seems to indicate much like [[spoiler: Impmon's dubbed portrayal from ''Anime/DigimonTamers'' who may or may not have digivolved into the ''actual'' Demon Lord Beelzemon instead of just a member of the same species]] he has a [[UsefulNotes/AmericanAccents Brooklyn accent]] along with his bloodlust.
* GoodWingsEvilWings: Has bat-like wings in ''Blast Mode'', unlike [[Anime/DigimonTamers other]] [[Anime/DigimonFusion portrayals]].
* TermsOfEndangerment: He's very fond of this to the point of sounding like he could be [[FoeRomanceSubtext flirting]] [[InLoveWithYourCarnage with those he's trying to kill.]]
* TheNickNamer: Some of the above almost come across as this when he matches them more towards his target instead of going with more common terms like "sweet cheeks", with calling [[HoYay Lucemon]] "''Lucy''" being a notable example.
* ItIsDehumanizing: One of the few Digimon who gets referred to as an "it" at points by Imperialdramon to make the distinction of how something ''this'' dangerous was more of a force of nature than a living being with any sort of conventional gender.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: While this is standard for the species he takes it to the next level as even in his winged Blast Mode his eyes are ''still'' red instead of changing to green, which happens to reflect their calmer mental state as normally they do this through redemptive acts.

[[folder:Spoiler Characters]]
These are characters who can't be placed anywhere else because even their tropes can give too much away about them or the plot regardless of which "side" they are more strongly connected to.
----
[[WMG:Isaac]]
Vanessa's partnered Dexdorumon. His mind is very simple but his loyalty to his "Master" is absolute.
----
* AllAnimalsAreDogs: While Vanessa quickly picked up he wasn't really a dog his basic thought processes and insistence of thinking of her as "Master" instead of her name or "tamer" can come across like this.
* BloodKnight: A possible side effect of the virus, he enjoys the thrill of the hunt a lot more than Ryudamon who focused on how their teamwork was improving, and is more open to training and violent actions.
* DumbIsGood: Overlapping with DumbMuscle his trains of thought seen in his POV sections is very simple to highlight his affections for Vanessa, animalistic nature making his violence seem less malicious, and how he's maturing as time goes on. Notably this seems to decrease as he gets more powerful as when he is at the champion level he is capable of speech and has a better retention of the proper terms for things around him but is still not smart enough to see why [[WalkingWasteland him entering cyberspace]] isn't a good idea.
* EverythingsDeaderWithZombies: The reason most characters don't like him.
* FluffyTheTerrible: MeaningfulName or no "Isaac" is not what you'd typically associate with a walking digital zombie plague.
* GenerationXerox: He and Ryudamon seem to be this for Alphamon and Ouryumon in a sense. He's already based on the former's data and is partnered to a girl that Alphamon also saw parts of himself in, and his bonding with his "pack" could be leading up to a similar closeness as the two megas have.
* MeaningfulName: The "Isaac" his name refers to is St. Isaac Jogues, the only person in the history of the Church to be allowed to give Communion with mutilated hands and was considered a "living martyr" so when he was put to death he had a double martyrdom of sorts.
** The Meaning comes from the fact that despite being "mutilated" ('''Dex'''dorumon) he was allowed to touch the "divine." (Bond between Human and Digimon.)
* TheNicknamer: Since he has a very basic way of identifying what's around him. Vanessa is "Master", Ryudamon is "pack", Nicolas is "Not-Master", Alphamon is [[OddNameOut "The Power"]], and most others tend to fall into "threat" or "prey".
* NonHumanUndead: He's a [=DEX=]Digimon. What did you expect?
* OriginalGeneration: Just like his tamer though he's a much bigger oddity. Normally the DEX line starts ''after'' a Dorumon line member undergoes Death-X Evolution, a process which usually involves ''dying'', turning it into a [=DEX=] version of their original forms. However, this is the first time we've seen the Effects of Death-X Evolution occur to a rookie and not send them to their champion state, [=DEX=]Doru''ga''mon.
* ThatThingIsNotMyChild: Initial reaction of Alphamon.
* PatientZero: The reason that he is either A) never to be allowed near a populated area, or B) to be killed.
* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: Not unlike what few organic features can be seen on [=DEX=]Dorugamon Isaac's rookie form is basically a partially cybernetic black furred Dorumon with [[RedEyesTakeWarning Red eyes]] instead of the usual orange and the DEX's blue gem replacing the red old style "prototype" interface. [[DarkIsNotEvil Though ideally he's not really that last part yet.]]
* RedOniBlueOni: With Ryudamon but with the colors reversed. He's the one with the blue interface on his head but is more aggressive, wild, and impulsive.
* SleepCute: Is being used as Vanessa's pillow.
* UndyingLoyalty: Towards Vanessa, [[VisualPun pun possibly intended]].
* WalkingSpoiler: He's addressed by a human name for a reason.

[[WMG:Ryudamon]]
Nicholas' partner digimon. Ryudamon is snarky and brisk to anything that isn't something he cares about... Which is most things. It is uncertain if he gets this from Nicolas or his situation.
----
* ADogNamedDog: Unlike Isaac he tells Nicolas he doesn't want a "name" until he's at least an ultimate.
** After he achieves Ultimate the name he takes is [[spoiler: Kojiro/Kojuro]], much to his [[SpellMyNameWithAnS constant annoyance at the lack of consistency]], [[ThemeNaming not unlike Nicolas' name in canon and what his name is here]] but with Ryudamon the difference is more [[MeaningfulName meaningful]].
* AllAnimalsAreDogs: Despite being more like a furry lizard ([[IAmNotWeasel though he objects to being referred to like one rather strongly]]) Nicolas takes advantage of his tendency to wag like a dog when pleased to win an argument.
* BashBrothers: Is trying to be this with Isaac, as he's the only one who actually cares about strategy or teamwork.
* DeadpanSnarker: Like his tamer.
* {{Geek}}: For sharp and pointy things. Ryudamon cares about three things. Swords (and weapons in general), his friends, and military strategy. (Which could be seen as an extension of point one as it is about the application of weapons.) This seems to be a trait that most members of his line/species share.
* GenerationXerox: As mentioned, has traits of this with Isaac and how they relate to Alphamon and Ouryumon.
* InsistentTerminology: He doesn't ''gush'' over swords, he "admires"... No matter what his tail's input on the matter is.
* MeaningfulName: His name[[spoiler: Kojiro/Kojuro]] refers to a prominent Samurai/swordsmen in Japanese History.
** [[spoiler: One refers to Sasaki Kojiro, the inventor of the ''[[BladeSpam Tsubume Gaishi]]'', which Ryudamon can perform a version of with his helmet, ''Kabuto Gaishi''. The second refers to Katakura Kojuro, the Right Eye (and [[NumberTwo Right-Hand Man]]) of [[UsefulNotes/DateMasamune Date Masamune]].]]
* {{Otaku}}: Specifically has a lot of overlap with military and history based Otaku, with a focus on melee combat like sword play.
* RedOniBlueOni: With Isaac, but reversed. He has the normal red prototype interface but he's calmer, has a greater respect for culture and tradition (albeit with a focus on weapons and combat), and is more likely to think things through.
* SpeaksFluentAnimal: Is able to understand Isaac, even when the latter is at Rookie stage and thus unable to speak. Ryudamon's just spent that much time around him.
* TranslatorBuddy: When speaking for Isaac at a champion level or translating his body language and intent to others.
* VoiceForTheVoiceless: Frequently takes the lead when he and Isaac are being addressed as the later doesn't seem able to speak at Rookie Level and others can't understand him as well.

[[WMG:Lalamon]]
Amy's partner digimon, who is only a bit over a year old at this point.
----
* AdorablyPrecociousChild: Again she's only about a year old but Amy has gotten her to reach her champion level Sunflomon ''and'' took down Hookwolf.
** During the Leviathan fight it was noted that she was helping as a Blossomon, which indicates Amy [[OffscreenMomentOfAwesome overcame enough of her personal issues]] to make her an ultimate.
* BadassAdorable: Tries her best to be one of these. Without Amy's help she's pretty stuck at "tries" though, with amusing results as in Nicolas's words "a pink flower with legs" about the size of a person's head threatened to kill ''Alphamon'' for bothering Amy to heal his kids after training went awry.
* HeroWorshipper: For the Royal Knights and "Lord Crusadermon" in particular for [[AgentPeacock looking fabulous]].
* HypocriticalHumor: When calling the ten year old Vanessa "pipsqueak", as lampshaded by Alphamon.
--> '''Alphamon:''' “You do realize you’re the size of my hand yes.”
* InnocentSwearing: Fitting for her immaturity she doesn't have the understanding of Earth's culture to understand why words like "Cracker" are seen as offensive, but she still enjoys using them.
* TheNicknamer: Insisted on addressing Hookwolf as "Cracker Puppy", which Amy gave up correcting as he ''is'' a Neo-Nazi, and dubbed Weaver "Bugsy."
* PlantAliens: Technically is an alien and is definitely a sentient plant.
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: According to Taylor at least when she's upset enough to "wilt".
* SassyBlackWoman: Has picked up speech patterns that make her sound like this, which Amy is not okay with.
* SirSwearsALot: Something she picked up from watching television according to Amy as a means of trying to help protect her tamer, who has created TheSwearJar to try and fix this.

[[WMG: Elecmon]]
Leo's online friend turned partnered digimon.
----
* AdorablyPrecociousChild: Even more so than Lalamon from the looks of it as this rookie is only ''3 months old'' when he forced himself to go through his internet connection to Earth Bet.
* KingOfBeasts: Confirmed to digivolve into a Leomon, as is common with his species. [[SacrificialLion This doesn't bode well for him or his partner]] considering the most common "[[MythologyGag tradition]]" of the Digimon franchise.

[[WMG: Hagurumon]]
A lost digimon used as an unwilling power source by the Volcano of Okinawa that Ami rescued.
----
* AmnesiacResonance: As payback for bringing up the FridgeLogic of why Mega level digimon like the Knights would ''need'' humans to help them at all Alphamon asks him about his past before Earth. Apparently whoever this Hagurumon used to be before was in charge of territory ''the size of the planet Jupiter'' but despite giving that answer as a reflex he seems to have no memory of this.
* AudienceParticipation: Much like Aiba their species was decided by a poll in the forums as the three starters in their game was a Hagurumon, a Palmon, and a Terriermon.
* BodyHorror: A lesser case, but potentially a ''very'' serious one for their species when one of their gears is stolen or goes missing. Luckily the one the Yakuza took off was "just" one of their hand gears instead of one of the more vital ones.
* ClockworkCreature: Is not only a living gear but is also full of them, which are very important for their ability to function.
* FantasticRacism: Addresses humans they are less than fond of as "Meatbags", though when Ami points this out to them as she would also be a "meatbag" [[YouAreACreditToYourRace they deny this as they start singing her praises]]. To be fair a dislike of humans in general is rather understandable as he was a victim of [[WhatMeasureIsANonHuman basically the same thing]] before she rescued them.
* ForegoneConclusion: Needless to say that considering the poll (which was very close between the three options) this Digimon appearing and their subsequent partnership with Ami can seem like this.
* MiniMecha: As their Champion state Mekanorimon.
* MoreThanMindControl: Their attack "Darkness Gear" creates black gears, like those seen in ''Anime/DigimonAdventure'' and as such can be used to control or corrupt people, objects, or digimon.
* ServileSnarker: While he adores his tamer he strongly objects to how often her [[ChronicHeroSyndrome desire to help those around her]] puts her in danger for [[TheSpock (in his opinion)]] little to no reason and makes sure she's aware of this.
* ThatMakesMeFeelAngry: Some of his prefaces before speaking lapse into this, though oddly enough unlike cases like [[Franchise/MassEffect the Elcor]] this is in addition to being able to change things like his tone of voice to express these feelings.
* ThirdPersonPerson: He addresses himself as "this unit" instead of conventional first person pronouns.
* VerbalTic: States the nature of what they are about to say (Statement, Query, Affirmation, ect.) before they say it.

[[WMG: Myotismon]]
An undead demon vampire based digimon.
----
* CallBack: To ''Anime/DigimonAdventure'' and its [[Anime/DigimonAdventure02 sequel series]] as he's the same species as the most well remembered of the first's antagonists and uses a similar trick to what that same antagonist did to Oikawa in 02 to enter Earth Bet early.
* OurVampiresAreDifferent: Well by being a digimon for starters.
* {{Pride}}: To note: He, an Ultimate level digimon, thought that with a cape's power boost he could take on a Royal Knight, and an ''Ultra'' Level digimon, a Jogress of ''two'' Mega level digimon no less!
* TooDumbToLive: Explicitly so and lampshaded by Ulforce.
* WouldHurtAChild: Killed five of the kids he kidnapped because he was "feeling thirsty".

[[WMG: Mattias Cromwell]]
A man who lost his son in a fire Omnimon saved him from as a part of his debut and later became possessed by a Digimon.
----
* CastingAShadow: Triggering caused him to develop shadow based powers which Myotismon also got access to.
* DespairEventHorizon: His son's death, which is what made is easy for a digimon to convince him to become their host.
* DrivenToSuicide: Between losing his son and seeing the horrors he enabled he tries to kill himself, though Omnimon is there to talk him down. Too bad it still didn't work.
* FightingFromTheInside: Omnimon notes that his attempts to resist are likely why Myotismon didn't try to use his powers more.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: When he finally gets in control of his own body again and sees what he was forced to do.

[[WMG:Rumiko Nonaka]]
Rika's mother from ''Anime/DigimonTamers'', a supervillain with water manipulation abilities.
----
* AdaptationalVillainy: Triggered from Leviathan's attack on Japan and used her powers to become a crime lord.
* AscendedExtra: Like most parents in the series she never had that large of a role, not helped with her job.
* BloodMagic: Has the power to make a person's blood boil in their veins.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: Or more accurately from a single mother working as a model to one of the most feared and powerful people in all of Japan.
* RedBaron: The ''Mizu no Yurei'' (Water Ghost, or more literally "Ghost of the Water") of the {{Yakuza}}.
* KillItWithWater: What she's known best for, and demonstrated by boiling a man alive.
* MrsRobinson: A clear and proud one as despite being single, and ''murdering'' her ex-husband for trying to use her for his own benefit, she is very comfortable having others treat her older than she should be and has no issues with flirting with men who appear to be around the same age her daughter would have been had she survived to get an upper hand. Further notable as it contrasts with the younger, immature, and more age sensitive Suguhime who admires her.
* FatherToHisMen: She is noted to treat her subordinates as adopted children, [[SubvertedTrope but if they cross her]] [[AbusiveParents they will get no mercy]].
* IWantGrandkids: A kinda tragic case of this: After she lost both her daughter and mother she insists that the members of the Yakuza address her as their ''grandmother'' (well [[GratuitousJapanese "Oba-san"]]) instead of them being her direct children. Kaji thinks it's because she's trying to be like her mother, despite being ''very'' young to have young adults and teenagers address her this way as since she had Rika when she was 18 (or possibly as young as 15 if the AgeLift Rika got in the English dub didn't extend to her as well) she should only be in her late thirties.
* TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou: Played straight and Inverted, as Rumiko states that neither of them is not to die until the conclusion to their duel to the death, no matter who the victor is.
* TheScottishTrope: Similar to how mentioning Imperialdramon Paladin Mode to Yggdrasil or the Royal Knights is taboo, so is Rika to Rumiko as Sheng notes.
* ShipperOnDeck: She enjoys teasing Arata about Ami, though this is also to emphasize the leverage she has over him and uses it as an implicit threat against Adam as well.
* TheUnexpected: No one saw her coming or the status she holds.
* WalkingSpoiler: As a result of being so unexpected.
* WomanScorned: Mentions in a rant against Alphamon and Gallantmon how after losing everything to Leviathan she then later found "the man who gave [her] everything" (Which is to say her ex-husband, Rika's father) was using her. Naturally they can't really put themselves in her shoes for that point, [[{{Troll}} which Alphamon "helpfully" explains to her]].
* {{Yakuza}}: And as particular note is in charge of one of the three most powerful groups in Japan.

[[WMG: Sengoku]]
The oldest of the three unofficial leaders of Japan.
----
* CrazyPrepared: When trying to take into account the limits of Rumiko's abilities before dealing with her, but clearly not "crazy" enough.
* EvilOldFolks: He's old and a ''very'' experienced Yakuza boss who accuses Rumiko's treatment of Ami and Suguhime as being "soft".
* KillAndReplace: By Izanagi shortly after he was introduced, hence needing to be here.
%%* OurVampiresAreDifferent: Implied given his title.
* {{Pride}}: Underestimates the Knights given how he thinks that if they were going to kill them all they would have done so by now and also believes his precautions were enough to protect him from the Mizu no Yurei.
* ProperlyParanoid: See CrazyPrepared above, given the measures he took not to be killed by Rumiko, though he didn't take into account for her sneaking a shapeshifter within his ranks.
* RedBaron: "The Vampire of Tokyo", which may be {{Foreshadowing}} for what his power entails.
* WouldHurtAChild: Is explicitly more open to doing so than Rumiko is.

[[WMG: Suguhime]]
The youngest of the three Yakuza leaders, but certainly not the weakest. Her temper is as volatile as her nickname would imply and is quick to point out how overpowered the Royal Knights seem to be.
----
* AChildShallLeadThem: Not ''quite'' a child, as she seems to be in her twenties, but by far the youngest, most inexperienced, and least mature of the three Obayun.
* BurningWithAnger: Was noted to be literally steaming (in a non lethal way) near the end of the broadcasted meeting between the three powers.
* ElementalShapeshifter: She can turn into a huge [[OneWingedAngel demonic]] figure of living lava.
* MagmaMan: Well woman but her lava is responsible for her nickname.
* MeaningfulName: Since it seems her powers are related to her nickname of volcano and her personality as well given how quickly Rumiko was able to anger her.
* PlayingWithFire: Her power set leans more on the lava end of the scale but it can cause this.
* ProperlyParanoid: As Ami's current target and unbeknownst to her the ''only'' Yakuza branch keeping Rumiko from having complete control of Japan her possible paranoia issues seem rather understandable. Further helped by a botched assassination attempt she tried on the Mizu no Yurei in the past, so concerns about her elder returning the favor are valid.
* RedBaron: Better known as "The Volcano of Okinawa".
* {{Tsundere}}: Her behavior towards the Mizu no Yurei comes across as a platonic one of these, as the older woman can't figure out if the girl wants her dead or is [[WellDoneSonGuy seeking her approval]].
