Be it fishing up the islands of New Zealand and Hawaii, giving the gift of fire to humanity after stealing it from Mahuika, or slowing down the sun to ensure humanity had longer days, much of Maui's actions ultimately helped humanity find its place within the hostile lands they called home[[note]][[WesternAnimation/{{Moana}} So what can he say except "You're Welcome!"]][[/note]].
